Aaron's (and Sean's) Sister

Your alarm went off. You reached over to your nightstand and snoozed it. Just nine more minutes in bed. You didn't feel like getting up. You never felt like getting up.

Spencer leaned over to and whispered, "You should get up"

You looked over to him, "or we can just stay here for a little bit longer"

"Don't you have a job interview today?"

Yes, you did. You didn't tell Spencer what it was for. You didn't want to unless you got the job. Otherwise it didn't matter.

You answered, "Yes, I do"

"Then you should get up" argued Spencer.

"Or I can stay in bed with you for nine minutes and then get up"

"Just get up"

"Oh come on. Don't you want to stay in bed?" you asked.

Spencer answered, "Of course I do. I just don't want to be late for work otherwise..."

"Otherwise what? My brother will just automatically assume you're screwing his sister?"

Yes, you were Hotch's little sister. And Sean's sister.
You were only a year younger than Sean but a lot younger than Aaron. Sean definitely filled in a brother role but Aaron took more of a father figure role in your life than a brother because your dad died when your really young. They were both overprotective but more Sean than Aaron.

You became an FBI agent like your oldest brother. You worked as an undercover agent first for Andy Swan's team for years then you did some undercover work for the Crimes against Children department. You took profiling classes back at the academy so you were a profiler.

You met the team and Spencer first at Haley's funeral. Then you worked with them about a human trafficking ring before you were transferred to Crimes against Children. You worked with them again a year ago when a boy who appeared after a years of being off the scene. It was Agent Cole or Katie who asked them to come in. Agent Cole used to work in Baltimore before being transferred back to DC. After that case, you asked Spencer out and you've been seeing him ever since.

"Yes" answered Spencer.

You said, "Oh come on. Aaron's not that good"

"Yes he is"

You reluctantly got out of bed and got ready for your interview. It was great opportunity for you. Although you weren't exactly hopeful about this interview. You were doubtful.

Mainly because your interview was for your brother's team in the BAU.

The BAU was down a member since Dr. Alex Blake left the team. They were overflowing with files because of that and their section chief was over seas.

You somehow snuck into your brother's office without your boyfriend or anyone else seeing you. You were brilliant like that. Sneaking around your brothers was your specialty.

Aaron said, "Y/n, I didn't expect to see you here"

"Oh Aaron, shouldn't you know the names of the people you're interviewing?" you joked.

"You're here for an interview?" questioned Aaron.

"Yes, I am. So just don't treat me like I'm your sister. Otherwise people might think that's nepotism"

You both sat down and your older brother looked over the resumé you sent over.

Aaron told you, "You have an impressive success rating and your supervisor speaks very highly of you. I think you'll be a valuable assets to the team"

"I said don't treat me like your sister" you remarked.

"I'm not. If I was, I wouldn't be giving you this job. Your nine years with the Bureau and  undercover work have me convinced you'll fit right in"

"Really?"

"Yes"

Garcia opened the door, "I know I'm interrupting"

Your brother told her, "Garcia, this is Agent Y/n Hotchner as you know. She'll be joining the team"

Garcia said, "Hello. I know you. He's at it again in Bakersfield"

"That's the third victim. Have you not been inviting in or something?" you asked.

Aaron answered, "We've been consulting. Do you have a go bag?"

"I'm your sister"

"Right. Of course you have a go bag ready"

You guys headed to the round table room where the rest of the team was already waiting.

Aaron introduced you, "Guys, this Agent Y/n Hotchner as you remember. She's from Agent Cole's team and she'll be joining the team"

The look on Reid's face was Aaron said you'd be joining the team was priceless. You wished you had a camera.

You were greeted with

"Congratulations",

"Your sister?",

And

"Hello" by the team.

You knew Spencer or as you now had to call him Reid was not going to be happy that you didn't tell that your interview was for his team in the BAU.

This case was brutal. Three torsos were found and none of them were identified.

Fast forward. You got hurt and had to get 10 stitches. You'd be fine. You've had worse. In fact one time, Sean kicked you in just the right place that you broke your foot. You got back at him when someone pushed you into a pool and your knee hit Sean, giving him a black eye.

You talked to JJ and Morgan on the way back. Something was a bit off. Why did this unsub go so far to hunt? You decided it was better off just to let it go.

You were walking out with your brother. You had convinced him to leave early so he could spend more time with Jack and just finish his paperwork in the morning.

"So who is he?" asked Aaron.

"Who is who?" you asked back.

"I noticed you're not wearing your locket. That locket is your most prized possession. There'd only be two reasons as to why you're not wearing it. Either you lost it and you would've told me that or you have a boyfriend" profiled your brother.

Ah, your locket. The reason why it was your most prized possession was because it was something your dead fiancé gave you and it was where you kept the ring.

You remembered on your first date with Spencer, he brought his dead girlfriend so you brought up Thorne, your dead fiancé who died when you were 25. You told him that if she loved him, she'd want him to be happy and move on. That's how you moved on. You just kept telling yourself that. That's also how you got into his pants.

Talking about your dead significant others. What a great way to start a relationship.

You remarked, "You're good"

"You're not going to tell me, are you?" asked Aaron.

Not until the wedding day were you going to tell Aaron you were dating Spencer.

You told him, "You are really good"

"Does Sean know who he is?" he asked.

You laughed, "No, god no. He doesn't know"

"Will you at least tell me how long?"

You decided to throw your brother a bone, "About a year now"

"A year, that's pretty serious. Does he know about your new job?"

"Yeah and he's fine with it. It just makes our time together that much more precious"

Well now you actually had more time together since you were working together but Aaron didn't need to know that.

Later that night you had a date with Spencer. Most of your dates involved eating take out at one of your apartment's. Mainly because Spencer was just a little bit paranoid that Hotch would see you eating out together and then fire him. Your oldest brother was not stupid enough to fire Spencer though.

He was upset. You could tell it. You knew why. It was because you didn't tell him what the interview was for.

You told him, "Spencer, I didn't tell you the interview was for the BAU because I didn't know I would get the job. I honestly did not expect Aaron to just give it to me. Plus your face was totally worth it"

Spencer said, "I figured but it's just..."

"It's just what?" you asked.

"Now that we're working together, it's going to be even more hard to hide our relationship"

"I know but hey look on the bright side, we get to spend more time together even if some of it is with my brother"

"I'm just worried you know?"

"Yeah but so what if they know we're dating? I think we did a pretty good job keeping it professional. Better than Morgan and Garcia anyways" you joked.

"We could get fired" said Spencer.

Oh right. You never had to worry about getting fired. Two federal agents who were from different division dating was frowned upon but not against the rules. Spencer was just afraid of getting fired because you were Hotch's sister and he knew how much he cared about his family. Two federal agents who were in the same team dating however was against the rules. You could both lose your jobs if anyone found out. At the very least, you would have to leave the BAU.

You told him, "I have to admit you've got a good point there but I doubt Aaron or anyone would fire a genius like you and I know Aaron would try his best to make sure I'm not fired"

"I know that but like I may have told JJ that we're dating before you joined the team" confessed Spencer.

"You did what?" you asked.

"Well how was I supposed to know you were joining the team?" argued Spencer.

You told him, "You know I've already told a few of my friends"

Actually all of your friends but you didn't tell them all that your boyfriend worked with your brother. Also you didn't have many friends to begin with.

"You have?" asked Spencer.

You answered, "Yeah. Jess, Cece, Kate, Iris, Laurel. That's pretty much it. And I kind of told Aaron that I have a boyfriend and that we have been dating for the past year. I didn't tell him it's you I'm dating because I'm not an idiot"

"You did what?"

"To be fair, he profiled me to find out I was dating someone. I just threw him a bone when I told him how long we had been dating"

"He profiled his own sister. That's cold"

"I know"

"So what do you want for dinner?"

You looked him up and down in a suggestive manner, "I have a few ideas"'

You started playing around with Spencer and ended up on top of him on the couch. Your phone started going off.

You looked at your phone. It was your brother. Luckily, it was Sean not Aaron.

"Don't tell me it's Hotch" groaned Spencer.

You put her phone down, "No, it's just Sean. I can ignore him"

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah, I'd rather be here with you than on the phone with Sean"

After doing some stuff, you ordered a pizza, some cheese sticks, and soda. You turned the tv on and snuggled up next to Spencer as you both watched House. Spencer loved to try and figure out what was wrong with the patient before the doctors did.

You got up when you heard a knock at the door. It seemed a bit early for the pizza but you were hopeful and hungry for some actual food.

When you opened the door it was not pizza. It was Sean.

"Sean, you're not the pizza guy. What are you doing here? You live in New York" you told him.

Sean said, "Yeah, I do but I made a surprise trip to DC. I thought I'd stop by because you didn't answer my call"

"Oh. Yeah, I'm busy"

"Doing what? You just ordered a pizza"

"I'm on a date with my boyfriend"

"Boyfriend? Can I meet him?" asked Sean.

Oh hell no. Sean was even worse with your boyfriends than Hotch. They found him more intimidating and he was a bartender not an FBI agent. He never tried to get to know them like Aaron did. He'd just stare at them and try to decide if they were good enough. Whenever a boyfriend broke up with you, Sean would hunt them down and beat them up.

You answered, "No you can't. Why don't you go see Aaron and Jack"

"Why not? Has Aaron met him?" asked Sean.

Yes he has but he doesn't know that he is your boyfriend.

You replied, "No. Normally I would love to spend some time with you Sean but I love spending some time alone with much boyfriend just a little more"

Sean told you, "Wow. I'm offended really. You really love him, don't you?"

"Yes, I do"

Sean left and eventually the pizza came. You had a great night with your boyfriend and you spent the night at his apartment.

When you woke up, Spencer was not in the bed with you. Instead of getting up and looking for him, you called him.

"Hey Spencer, where are you?" you asked.

Spencer answered, "Oh, I made plans with Morgan to go out for breakfast"

Seriously? And he didn't tell about them earlier? Now that was just unlike him.

"So where are you?" you asked.

Spencer replied, "I'm at First Watch with Morgan and Savannah"

"Seriously? You just left me? Now that is cold"

"I know. I'm sorry"

You had to let him know what he was missing. You knew exactly what you were going to say to him.

You told him, "So I guess I'll just stay here on your bed only wearing one of your button up shirts"

You knew that would work. He loved seeing you wear his shirts and you loved wearing them.

Spencer said, "I wish I could be there with you but the food is about to come and here it is. I have to go. Bye. Love you"

"I love you too" you told him before he hung up on you.

You didn't know which was more harsh, your older brother profiling you or you boyfriend just leaving you.

A/N: I didn't know how to end this so sorry for the abrupt ending. You had to have known this was coming with Emily's Sister and JJ's Sister.
