~•Ink•~

I sadly woke up to the sound of my alarm clock ringing. Believe it or not I brought my alarm clock to the hotel, my parents, well my mother, said I would need it. Trust me I love my mom to death but she's a pain sometimes. Especially with all that stuff going on about the college. It's been driving mom insane trying to get me in, unlike dream's mother, Joku.

Ms. Joku is loaded so dream and nightmare have never had to worry about getting thier way anytime. Especially dream, he is her favorite. But who can blame her I would go for the sparkling ball of sunshine rather than the one eyes octopus, no offense towards nightmare of course! Anyways Ms. Joku got an automatic invitation to Granite Hills, since she runs one of the most top valued businesses in the country, and dream and nightmare got in. It took me months to even get noticed!

But that's over now.

I got up out of bed and immediately got dressed. I tried to pack nice looking clothes since today was when I would be meeting professors and getting scedhules, dorms, and such to get ready for the semester. I finished getting dressed and walked into the bathroom and examined myself in the mirror making sure I was presentable.

To my luck a knock rang from the room, coming from the door. I groaned and walked to the door and opened it, I was surprised to see an old friend of mine standing there.

Blue!

"Blue what on earth are you doing here!?" I asked you could clearly sense the shock in my voice. Blue smiled widely and giggled, "sorry ink didnt mean to bother you, but me and dream have been staying here the past couple of nights and couldnt help but notice you here!" Did I not mention that blue was practically dreams right hand man?

Blue stood patiently at the door like he was here for business, I always liked that trait about him, his patience.

"If your here with dream then where is he? I haven't seen him in ages!" Blue looked up at me and slightly frowned, "oh dream already left......that's why I'm here" my eye sockets widened hearing him. Dream would never leave blue alone in a huge hotel like this..........

Would he?

"Then why are you here? Shouldn't you be with dream" blue shook his head saying no, "nope dream just said that I should find you and that he would see me at the colleges, nothing else" blue looked at the floor and frowned even more,

"nightmare was rushing him too" I quickly grabbed blue by his arm and pulled him into the room causing him to squeak in surprise. I quickly shut the door behind me.

I turned around from the door and faced blue.

"Tell me everything you know"

~•3rd person•~

Ink faced blue with a stern look on his face.

"Tell me everything you know"

Ink was practically pleading the smaller to tell him, after all he was just worried for his friend.

But blue was too scared to answer. He was afraid that if he told nightmare would surely kill him. So he just shook his head.

"I'm sorry ink I cant"

"And why not!?"

"Nightmare said so"

Blue quickly slapped his hand over his mouth shutting himself up. He had said too much, no sooner than he said it the questions came flooding.

"What you mean nightmare said so? Wheres dream? What did nightmare have to do with it? Who all is involved?"

Finally the smaller couldnt take it anymore and quickly snapped, "I DONT KNOW OK JUST GET OFF MY CASE!" His outburst scared the squid. Normally the smaller was not like this. He was normally cheerful and happy.

But not today.

The smaller was now crying, tears were spilling from the brims of his eye sockets. He was scared and afraid, and he needed comfort.

So the squid did just that.

Ink embraced blue in a hug which blue gladly excepted. Blue was still crying but it was ending.

Once he finally calmed down Ink asked him another question.

"Do you know when they left?"

Blue sniffled and looked up at Ink his eyes glassy from all the crying. He looked at inks alarm clock and with a sniffle he replied, "they left about 10 minutes ago"

With that Ink stood up and walked towards the door, of course helping blue up in the process. They opened the door to the room and dashed out into the hallway on a quest to find thier friend.

~•Dream•~

I followed behind nightmare slowly as he led me into even more bushes.

I cringed as the aura of this place grew darker and darker. It was awful!

I was actually starting to wonder what was here that nightmare would just storm into my room and take me without saying a word.

Poor blue, he must be so worried.

Hopefully he listened and went to find ink. I feel bad for not visiting ink before so he would know we were at the same hotel but I wanted to give ink some privacy, he gets stressed with alot people around him.

Nightmare erupted into a stop which caused me to run into the back of him.

"We're here"

~•Blue•~

I ran behind ink while we rounded the corners of the hotel. I loved it, it was like a maze we were fighting to get out of.

That's one reason dream decided to bring me with him and his brother. Honestly for twins dream and nightmare couldnt be anymore different.

Ink stopped at the staircase, luckily I noticed and didnt run into him. He huffed and turned to face me,

"I'm starting to think we should've taken the elevator...."

I giggled at Ink, sometimes he could get ahead of himself with something like this. I heard ink sigh and I looked at him,

"What's wrong?"

Ink partially smiled at me, "oh it's nothing blue dont worry" I huffed.

They always treat me like this! Like I'm still a child! For stars sake I'm 21!

I looked at the staircase and saw that it was only 5 flights, not that much right?

I looked back and forth from the stair case to ink a couple of times before I made my choice. I became serious again and headed down the stairs.

Nightmare and Dream stood in front of a shrine.

It was a shrine of a child, they looked not older than mabey 8 years. Thier facial features were withered away so you couldnt really tell the exact gender of the child.

Dream was highly confused, why had his brother brought him to a shrine?

He turned and faced his brother who looked at the shrine with shock in his eyes like he knew this person,

"Nightmare why did you bring me here?"

Nightmare just stayed silent and pointed to the pedestal the shrine stood on. There on the pedestal were worse inscrepited in a language Dream thought was long gone.

Dream knelt down in order to see the words inscribed. What he saw took his breath away.

'Shrine of Joku'

Dream was now confused, this shrine was probably centuries old and it read his mother's name! There was absolutely no way this is possible!

Dream stood and looked his brother dead in his eye, "Nightmare why did you bring me here?"

Nightmare finally acknowledged his brother and looked at him, "simple. I brought you here because of the shrine"

Dream looked back at the child on the shrine and tried to examine the features on the child, could that really be his mother?

Dream sat on the ground and pulled his knees to his chest. His head hurt from thinking about this.....it couldnt be true.

Nightmare finally broke the silence and spoke,

"Guess our mother is hiding even more huh dreamy?"

Sorry if this chapter seemed boring first chapters normally are :v.

I'm going to actually try and work on this book as much as I can now since I'm not doing that much and I am quite motivated.

I'm trying to push my self to get chapters in daily but I dont think this will be the case since I'm just finishing the first chapter and haven't started on the second.

I'm sorry for rambling about pointless things I need to work on it....
