Liar

POV DABI

When the light above the door goes out, I waste no time barging into the house. Even though it's been years since I've been to my childhood home, I know it like the back of my hand. I bolt up the stairs, taking them two at a time. I pass all the kids' rooms on the second floor as I head to the stairs. Natsuo's room is the only one with the door open, but like usual, there's nothing but sports posters and dirty clothes. I hurry up the steps to the third floor, and as soon as I turn the corner, I'm eye to eye with Enji.

"Dabi," Endeavor croaks.

"Don't act like you don't know who I am," I scoff at him, holding up my blue-flaming fist. "I have such a respectable name. It's Touya! Don't you remember? You're the one who gave it to me, after all."

"Stop with this bullshit," Enji growls. "What are you doing here? I could have you arrested for breaking and entering."

"Oh Endeavor," I sing, brightening up my flames a bit. The power I have is getting to me, so I have to ground myself and not be too cocky. Just a little bit of taunting is alright. "I had a magnificent plan to expose all those horrid crimes of yours. I really did. But then I realized that even if I destroyed everything in your life, it wouldn't be enough. People say death is too nice to give to a criminal, that such an evil man should suffer, but quite frankly, I think death is a fine punishment. I'm a selfish guy, and when I say I want you gone, I mean it."

"So you're here to kill me," Enji says. "Bring it on, then, villain. Any last words?"

"I know what you did to the number two hero," I blurt out. I'm not sure where it came from, but as soon as those words left my mouth, there was no turning back. "I know you raped him, you sick fuck, and I know how much he's hurting because of you. I'm gonna melt your ugly fucking face until it's unrecognizable."

"Do you mean Hawks?" Endeavor says, a sick smile twisted on his lips. I pause, feeling the heat on my hands diminish a bit. "Did Hawks tell you that I raped him?" I don't respond, mainly because I'm confused. "First and foremost, I would never do such a thing, especially to my lover."

"Lover?" I choke out. "The fuck are you talking about?"

"Hawks and I have been sleeping together," Enji chuckles. "He must've told you I raped him to move his infiltration job forward. Looks like he has you wrapped around his feathers, huh? Well it doesn't matter now. I'm going to have you arrested while Hawks heads back to the base and finishes the job."

Enji's words echo throughout my mind, and I'm still processing when he punches me across the face. I stumble back into the wall, hitting my head. The taller man punches me again and again and again. My stomach, my ribs, my throat, my jaw. I don't fight back. Keigo couldn't have lied to me, right? He wouldn't do that...

The sound of feet pattering up the stairs snaps me out of my trance. Fuyumi stares wide eyed at us, making Endeavor pause. She puts her glasses on as her face molds itself into a scowl. "What the hell is going on?" Fuyumi roars. "It's three in the morning, dad! Why are you fighting villains inside? I thought you said you were trying to be a better person!"

"I am!" Enji says. "He's a villain."

"I'm your son, you scumbag!" I scream at him.

"Son?" Fuyumi echos. "Dad? What the hell is he talking about?"

"Nothing," Endeavor grumbles. "Go to your room, Fuyumi."

"I'm an adult," Fuyumi snaps. "And I'm also the only one in this family that believes you can change for the better. So stop keeping secrets from me! This is exactly why nobody is on your side!"

"I'm Touya," I say, more taunting than not. "The one and only first born Todoroki child. Now that the family reunion is over, little sis, I'd like to murder our father."

"WHAT?" Fuyumi screams. "Dad, is this true?"

"It doesn't matter if it's true or not," Enji says. He doesn't break the deathly stare that he has locked on me. I'll admit, I'm stalling for time. I'm waiting for Keigo to pop up and help me with the assasination, to tell me that he hasn't been lying to me this whole time. "This man is a villain. He's killed plenty of innocent people, and he needs to be locked up."

"Maybe we can talk it out," Fuyumi says. "Just... both of you, calm down. Why don't we just get some rest?"

"Enji can rest," I snarl, "in hell where he belongs. He's a criminal, too, you know."

"I haven't broken any laws," Endeavor says. "I told you, Hawks and I have a consensual relationship. Frankly, I'm not sure why you haven't gone back to the base to save your other villain friends. They might've already been taken into custody. Or dead, for all we know."

"You're lying," I snap at him.

"What was the little blonde one's name? Toga Himiko?" Endeavor says. "You care about her, don't you, Touya?"

"Shut up."

"What would you do if our bird hero slit her pretty little throat? Would you believe me then?"

"Shut the fuck up!" I let out a wave of flames at him, but Fuyumi conceals my hand with her own. Her freezing skin feels amazing on my burns, but I'm still furious. She put out my damn flames! "Fuyumi!" I scream at her. "Move!"

"You can't," she says breathlessly. "I don't disagree that he's an awful person, but you can't do anything else to incriminate yourself. Go back to the League of Villains' base. I'll cover for you if dad tries anything."

My heart is thumping wildly in my chest, but I nod. I leave the house, choking on air. Blood runs down my face, and I wipe it away lazily. Keigo betrayed me. He fucking lied! And to think I was gonna marry that piece of shit. I pick up my pace, turning my jog into a sprint. The next time I see that winged prick, I'm going to snap his neck.
