20: Files

BRYAN ABOVE! ^^

Recap: Bryan turned around, "Hey." He said, coldly. "Your name's Brandon Lee?"

The guy frowned, "Who the hell are you?"

--

"You can say 'bye bye' to your little fantasy about being with Candice because she found herself a catch!" Jane exclaimed. "Salvatore." She said, giving Mark a taunting look.

--

She now realizes what she has to do here. The whole reason why she came here. And what she has to do before she comes back home.

She is going to plot her revenge on Brandon and Tucker.

20: Files

'Only enemies speak the truth; friends and lovers lie endlessly, caught in the web of duty'

Candice closed the door behind her locked, as Salvatore kissed her hungrily, lifting her up, as she had her back to the wall. She grabbed his face and softly bit his lower lip. They continued making out, Salvatore kissing the side of her neck, until they heard the door handle moving profusely. Candice gasped, Salvatore letting go of her, her feet finally touching the ground. Candice took Salvatore's hands and lead him to another room next to the principle's office, she stumbled in, a rush of adrenaline and excitement running through her.

There was silence, as they waited in the room full of student files. Candice looked around, then looked back at Salvatore, too busy checking if the principle was gone.

Candice slowly crept around the room, until she saw Salvatore's file, she slowly looked at Salvatore, then slyly took the file and opened it. She frowned, staring at the paper, then flipped it over-

"-Candice?" Salvatore said.

Candice quickly turned around, "Yeah?"

"I think he's gone."

Candice nodded, eyes wide, then nodded, quickly "O.k." She said, walking over to the door and opening it.

"You okay?" He asked.

"I'm good." She said, smiling, then grabbed him by the back of the neck and gave him a kiss. "I'll see you at lunch." She said, and walked away.

--

"His student file is totally clean. I mean it was practically empty. But why?" Candice asked.

Jane shrugged, "You would've thought someone who gets into gang fights a lot, does drugs -on school grounds by the way-, and is basically every teacher's worst nightmare would have one full page- and a half - of information about that. And i even bet the teachers are glad that this is his last year in high school. Does it say what his GPA is?"

Candice nodded, "4.0."

"What?" Jane hissed, "I don't even have a 3.0,  How the hell does he-"

"I don't know. It's weird." Candice said.

"He's probably paying the principle or threatening him." Jane said, sighing. "Whatever. What were you two doing in the principle's office, anyway?" Jane asked, squinting her eyes.

Candice smiled mischievously. "...Making out?"

Jane sighed, rolling her eyes. "I am so jealous of you right now."

Candice caught Mark opening his locker, they met eyes, as Mark looked away first, slamming his locker shut and walking away.

Candice turned back to Jane, biting her lip guilty. "I think he's mad at us." Candice said.

Jane's eyes darkened, "He's mad at me. And why should i care?"

Candice studied Jane's eyes carefully, then her lips twitched into a smile. "You like him, don't you?"

--

Jane was sitting next to Mark on the cafeteria table, biting her lips hard, as she gave him a sideways glance, then opened her mouth to speak. "You're gonna have to talk to me eventually."

"What if i don't want to?" He said, coldly.

Jane smiled, "You're gonna eventually."

Mark looked at her, then turned away from her.

Jane gritted her teeth, nearly crushing her water bottle. "I was just fooling around, okay? Gosh..."

"Well, i'm not the type of person you should be fooling around with-"

Jane was going to take a sip of water but stopped, looking at Mark, then scoffed.

She spotted Candice walking in the cafeteria and stopping at Salvatore's table, giving him a kiss and then sitting down next to his friends, with people turning back to look at her.

Jane put her water bottle down, and put the cap back on then grabbed her tray, standing up. "Fine." She said, to Mark. "Then, you can sit alone. Like a loser." She turned on her heel and strutted to Salvatore's table.

--

"Hey, dad." Candice said, unusually bubbly.

"Candice, we really do have to talk." Her dad said.

Candice smiled sweetly, then gently pulled Salvatore next to her. "I bought a friend over." She said.

Her father had a look of recognition painted on his face, as he nodded to Salvatore. "Salvatore..." He greeted.

"Mr Jeffery..." Salvatore greeted back.

Candice scowled, puzzled. "You know each other?" She asked, turning to Salvatore.

"Your father used to work for my dad." Salvatore said, fighting off a smirk.

"With...your father used to work with me." Candice's father said, crossing his arms, "Until he disappeared. How is Jim, Salvatore?"

"He's just...working for himself now...like he's always been...He's very ambitious...he says he's going to make a difference in the world."

Candice's father nodded, crossing his arms, "Your father's always been ambitious."

Salvatore smirked and agreed, "Yes he has."

Candice took Salvatore's hands and pulled him into her bedroom. He wrapped his arms around her.

"I thought your dad was a mafia mob boss."

Salvatore chuckled, "Something like that..." He said, before kissing her jawline, then her neck, Candice felt the bed behind her, as they were both lying down, now. Salvatore kissed her hungrily, now, as she moved her hands along his toned abs, then on his chest, before she pushed him away.

Salvatore had a confused, but irritated expression of his face. "What?" He whispered.

Candice slowly sat up, as she tucked her hair behind her ear. "Salvatore...everyone makes you out to be some kind of bad guy. How come i don't see that? You're always nice to me... Are you just pretending to be nice in front of me?"

Salvatore scowled. Just then, his phone started ringing. He took it out of his pocket. "Hey..." He said, running a hand through his hair. "That's okay, Catt...no problem. I'll talk to you soon." he said, and hung up.

"Catt was the name of my dad's assistant that he fired." Candice said.

"Really? Uh, yeah. Not such a rare name, i guess. Um, that was my sister, her car broke down. I'll call you later, okay?"

Candice pouted her lips, but grinned on the inside. "Okay..." She mumbled, batting her eyelashes.

They kissed as Salvatore put on his jacket and left the room.

--

"Clara." Bryan said.

Clara turned around, looking at Bryan angrily. "Were you following me?" She asked.

"No, no. I just...i just wanted to apologize for the way i acted yesterday. You didn't deserve that and i didn't mean what i said to you. It's just that...there was a lot of things on my mind and...i don't think this little thing we had going on should continue-"

"This little thing?" Clara repeated, raising her eyebrow.

"I didn't phrase that properly..." Bryan said.

Clara smiled, showing her perfect white teeth. "I was on my way to the bar. You want to grab a drink, at least?"

Bryan shook his head, "Probably not a good idea...look, i...i made a promise to someone that i care about. And i pretty much lost her trust, now."

"Her trust?" Clara shook her head, "She'll never know, Bryan."

"But unfortunately, Clara, i will. And if you haven't noticed, every time i drink with you we just end up sleeping together."

Clara pursed her bright red lips, then nodded slowly, "Okay..." She said, flipping her hair.

--

Candice checked her phone, and gasped. More missed calls from Steve. What the hell? What does he want? 23 missed calls? Candice gritted her teeth. Is that his tactic to scare her? She suddenly pressed call, and waited for him to pick up.

"Listen to me, you creep, don't ever call me again, i know what you did to Bella, you son of a bitch."

"You're no better either, partner in crime. You're the one who attacked her before, aren't you?"

"I'm not your partner in crime. I'm getting revenge on someone like you, so if you call me again, you're next! You did the one thing we both agreed you wouldn't do!"

"Whatever, it's too late, now. You need to know something-"

"Don't you ever call me again!" Candice yelled, and hung up.
