28. Dewey

We are still lying in our room, but now I am lying with my arm around Riley from behind. She is still sleeping. I don't know how long I have been waiting for her to wake up, but now I know how it is for her in the mornings. I don't mind holding her and listen to her. It's just I like her better when she is awake.

"Riley?" I whisper in her ear, and the next thing I feel is a hand on my face and she pushes me back. I laugh lightly, surprised by what just happened. She grabs the pillow, hiding her face in it and mumble something.

"I couldn't hear you." I say, leaning to plant a kiss on the top of her head and wrap my arm around her again. Once again, she laid her hand on my face and moved me back.

"What is up with you?" I chuckle, trying to take the pillow away from her, but she is really clinging onto it.

"Why can't you hold me like that?" I laugh as I move over her to lay face to face with her, or more like face to pillow.

"Babe, come on." I plead.

"Drew, shut up." She mumbled and I burst out in laughter. I guess she still don't feel so good.

"Ouch!" I shout as she just hit me with her pillow and do it again.

"Why can't you be quiet?" She asks annoyed. I grab her arm and sit above her, pinning her hands down in our bed. She crinkles her nose as she tries to get loose.

"I'm in a bad mood, Drew." She sigh and I lean down to kiss her on the nose, but I pout as she do not smile. I take a deep breath. Then I lean down to put my lips on her cheek. Kissing her hard and long.

"Drew, stop." She laughs, trying to move away from me.

"Only if you smile the rest of the day." I mumble on her skin.

"Fine." She muttered, which makes me not pleased with my answer. I let go of her hands and start tickling her.

"No, Drew! Stop!" She laughs, trying to push me away.

"I said I was going to smile!" She says, but I shake my head.

"You need to promise, babe." I smile as I pin her hands down in the bed again.

"I promise." She pout.

"Good." I whisper as I lean down to steal a kiss.

"Dewey." My eyes, snaps wide open by that name Riley just said. She is lying behind me in our bed. Don't know what time it is, but I guess it's really early. I close my eyes again and hug my pillow.

"It's Christmas." She say and take the pillow away from me, leaving me pouting annoyed. I turn around and hold around her instead with my face buried in her chest.

"Drew, come on." She chuckles and try to push me off her.

"Why can't you just let me love you?" I mumble, but then seconds later, my eyes widen in shock of what I just told her. What did I just say?

I hate my mouth in the mornings. Both of us are not moving or saying a word. I'm scared I might have done something really stupid right now. I swallow hard as I close my eyes, just holding onto her. Right now I could need some sleep again.

"Drew?" She calls my name, making my heart beat so fast inside of me.

"Yes?" I answer hoarse and I have to clear my throat.

"I love you too." She says. I can feel my heart calm down and a big smile come across my face.

"Can you let me love you then?" I wonder. She snorts as she kisses the top of my head.

"Of course." She chuckles, making me smile that she gives me what I want.

"Thank you, baby." I tell her so satisfied, rubbing my cheek on her chest.

"You're welcome, Dewey." I breathe in her amazing scent, enjoying myself to the fullest. This is the best Christmas ever.

My girl holding me in her arms, while I try to wake up so we can go and meet Riley's family. Don't need anything else but my beautiful girl.

It's been an amazing day, looking at Riley open her gifts. I got one from Andi and Devin, which was very nice of them and I love it with my whole heart.

Since it was a necklace with my girl's name on it. I love it. It's beautiful. I still haven't given Riley my gift. I am waiting to get her on my own. Thought about taking her into our room, so we could get privacy. Since we can't get it another place in this house, but now Riley is too busy talking with her grandparents and I don't want to ruin her moment with them.

Little Katlin is having fun with all the toys she got today. She is lying on the floor playing with her dolls. Lucas, is happy with his new soccer shoes and jersey. When I come home, I can open the rest of the Christmas gifts, but I don't care.

The best gift I have ever got is the girl with the blond hair, with those cute dimples and with the softest voice, I have ever heard. I watch my girl move her head around, as if she is looking for something.

"Drew?" She call and I smile right away.

"I'm here." I say and my girl turn to my voice with a grin as she stands up and come towards me. She reaches out her hand and I take it in mine and drag her down on my lap.

"Are you okay?" She wonders as she moves her hand on my cheek.

"Yes." I whisper and kiss her palm.

"You sure? I haven't had much time for you today, I'm sorry." She says and lean in to put her lips on my temple. I close my eyes to her softness.

"Yeah, you better be sorry," I chuckle, watching my girl crinkle her nose.

"I've I missed you the whole day." I smile as I steal a fast kiss from her, leaving her surprised. It's funny when I kiss her like this, because she do not know until it has ended.

"I have something for you," I whisper and she can't hide her smile now.

"But you have to come with me to our room, don't want to give it to you here." I say and kiss her cheek fast.

"Okay." She nods and get off my lap to follow me, hand in hand to our bedroom. I sit down with her in front of me and take her hands in mine.

"Umm," I feel my cheeks turn red already.

"This morning was kind of... weird," I tell her and so does she.

"I didn't mean to say what I did," Riley's smile fades, slowly, and I see her swallow hard.

"Because I was going to say I love you, when I was going to give you, your gift," I breathe as I see her smile again. I grab her feet and drag her onto my lap.

"Which is in my pocket," I reach down into it to find it.

"I do love you Riley, because there do not exist a reason for me not to. Everything about you I love and there is so much that I don't think I have time to tell you all of it." I chuckle, watching my girl's cheeks turn warm.

"And I got you this little thing, might not be much, but anyway." I shrug as I take the necklace up and try to place it around her neck.

"Does something stand on it?" She wonder.

"Yeah." I smile and lean in to kiss her on the nose, which she wrinkle.

"What then?" She wonders as I am taking it on her.

"I guess you have read it yourself." I chuckle and Riley sighs annoyed, but take up her hand to touch the necklace. I wrap my arms around her to lean my forehead on hers, but then she pushes my arms of her and tackle me down in the bed with a tight hug.

"Can't breathe, baby." I say out of breath.

"I love you too," She tells me and I start to laugh.

"Thank you for using braille on the neckless." She says, letting me go to move up and cup my cheeks.

"Of course, babe. I want you to read it, feel it, that I love you." I smile and she leans down to lay her lips on mine. There is nothing more I want than to make her happy, so I can see that beautiful smile, which showes my favorite dimples.

Today is an amazing day, in some few hours my girl will come here to me. Been waiting over a month for her to come here and today she will.
I can't wait :)

How a good day and night :)
