These are some things I want you guys to remember while reading this fic and even some clues (and some spoilers (bold letters)). I will update this chapter everytime a new chapter with plot arrives at most, so you can review the main points of this fic and some other important things to remember.

About the fic:

1. This fic has multiple POVS but all are used to bring the "supposed villains" to light.

2. Some chapters will focus on the OCs.

3. This is not the og one-shot. Link in description of story.

4. Might have plotholes or stories you want to know but never find out by the end of this fic (unless you guys want a sequel).

5. Should've said this first, but oh well. Anyway, I am invested in this story, I just don't have time to post sometimes, so this fic might become sporadic.

6. The og PIDW universe will have lots of importance later on.

7. This will be a long fic, maybe. I have many ideas in my mind that I want to add but then I feel like there would be too much going on at once (then again nothing was ever too much for me to handle anymore ever since the do-or-die papapa scene). Tell me what you guys think.

8. The whole fic is just protecting Shen Jiu and wholesome fluff and family. There will be heavy angst though, especially during backstories.

9. I will do whole chapters on the backstories so the words won't be italicized. I always get headaches reading a bunch of italicized words at once so backstories will be normal font.

10. New animals, mythical creatures, and monsters! (But not really just with different names)

11. I was thinking that if Shen Jiu rested somewhere on solid ground or in the demon realm in the OG one-shot, Luo Binghe would've found him way sooner. So he lived in the sky, and the only reason Binghe found him was because he wanted an update on what was happening back on the surface so he convinced Akabane, Xie Yan, and the others to let him. We all know how that turned out.

12. I feel like it's a bit weird how the demon realm acts as if China is the only place in the world that has demons (other shows also do this and it just feels weird). So I decided to add some more countries, though their mentions will be short.

13. I know most of the fic has been Luo Binghe's POV but please bear with me. There will be a Shen Jiu POV soon.

About the characters:

1. Shen Jiu is no longer Shen Qingqiu nor Xiao Jiu. He renounced those titles when he decided to stay with Xie Yan and the rest after his wounds healed.

2. I feel like having Airplane bro be skittish and a big scaredy-cat all the time during the og novel felt super off, especially when he transmigrated after the body was literally born. So I added backstory to it so there's an actual reason he has paranoia.

3. Though what I said in No. 2 is true, Shang Qinghua is still the OG (but from actual PIDW, where he was choked to death. So things are gonna get interesting😏).

4. I feel no remorse nor will show mercy for the peak lords (except Liu Qingge, all those LiuJiu fanfics made me have room for him in my heart).

5. No one ever said that all the Peak Lords hated him to his death. So I added peak lords who used to be on bad or neutral terms with Shen Jiu but are now little cinnamon rolls in Shen Jiu's eyes (and in their eyes, Shen Jiu is the same). I was actually wondering if I should make one of them a guy, what do you guys think?

6. Let's all face it, Shen Jiu needs a mother or sister figure that won't die because they're mortal. We already have the peak ladies (still deciding if I should change one to a guy) as the sister figures, it's time for a mother figure + a made up part Shen Jiu's backstory.

7. All of Shen Jiu's disciples are not his disciples but children, he may have revoked their teacher-student relation but no way in the three realms will Shen Jiu ever cut off his parent-children bond with them. (Shen Jiu: Deal with it.)

8. Backstory of the OCs (both mine and Airei's) will be written at a certain point.

9. OCs are OP, no objections.

10. Everyone wants to protect Jiu'er.

11. Do you want Shen Jiu to be renamed by a certain mother figure? Tell me in the comments.

12. Chuntian Xi is a child that saved Ming Fan because he had nothing to lose. I won't ship them, I feel like everyone in Qing Jing treat each other as siblings, except Luo Binghe of course.

13. Ning Yingying's and Ming Fan's reason was stated, but there are other reasons why the other Qing Jing disciples bully Luo Binghe.

14. Don't be mad, but I like Ming Fan x Gongyi Xiao. I know they don't meet in the actual novel, but I feel like they would be acquainted like how I feel like Su Xiyan and Shen Jiu were acquainted, except MF and GYX actually have a romantic relationship.

About my view on the characters on the og novel that might affect the course of the fic:

1. I really hate Shen Yuan and Bingmei the most from SVSSS, so a close second (yes, Yuan and Bingmei share #1 (no offense to ppl who actually like them tho)) would be Yue Qingyuan. He always just felt like a manipulative person to me, who never ever gave a second glance to "Shen Qingqiu's" strange behavior and used it to get closer to him. I actually never read the extra, just a summary, because I saw the words "I'm sorry" and I nearly threw my phone across the room. I hate those words when someone repeats it or never means it or never explains why they're sorry. Because it really does hurt when you pour your heart out to someone and they splash it all right in your face and say sorry and expect you to forgive them just because you know them (real story, happened to my best friend so can't help but feel mad).

2. I hate the peak lords with the same reason as Yue Qingyuan. They used this new personality of Shen Qingqiu to get closer to him so they can mold him to the person they want him to be.

3. As a person who's read many novels and seeing through the pov of the villain everytime, and who listens to both sides of the story whenever some drama happens in school, I've seen many shades of gray in every situation, so I hate it when people see through eyes of black and white. Shen Jiu is also very special to me because of his aversion of men, which I sometimes feel as a woman, but unlike Shen Jiu who can run to women to comfort, I can't run to anyone because people see me as an over-dramatic person and assume everything or act like they understand when they don't, so Shen Jiu's case with his martial siblings really hit home. So basically, because of my personal grudge, the peak lords will be left guilty and forgotten by Shen Jiu by the end of this fic.

4. I like SVSSS Ning Yingying, and love both SVSSS and PIDW Ming Fan. I also think PIDW Ning Yingying is sus. Being the paranoid prick Shen Jiu is, I'm pretty sure would've taught Ning Yingying all the signs a man has lecherous designs towards her, and she would've found out on her own during missions (especially the skinner one) so how the heck would she not notice her own Shizun lusting over her or believe others when they say he did? Simple, her baba-*ahem* Shizun secretly told her to do it to survive. Why? Because literally everyone in Qing Jing died either because of blind vengeance or because they didn't side with Bingge, as if Shen Jiu would let his favorite die. So yeah, that's what I'm going for because daughter betraying father is just too much to handle for me.

5. I want redemption for the Little Palace Mistress. I feel like she would be a powerful ally and considering the similar obsessive, stubborn, and violent behavior both she and Luo Binghe have, I feel like the Old Palace Master raised her for a different reason.
