Chapter 19

⚠️Contains small manga spoilers⚠️

The fight with High-End left us exhausted especially for Endeavor. The fight was all over the news and people praised Endeavor for it, forgetting Hawks and me. Hawks took 2 days off because his feathers needed to regenerate. He told me that I should be the boss for the time he was gone and now I was sitting in his offices chair looking through documents.

'Hmm I haven't seen Sahara since the fight with High-End. He's more of a carrying guy so where is he?'

It was getting bored and I looked out of the huge window that was behind me. The view was amazing. There were a lot of skyscrapers and it was full of people, but some certain feathers caught my eyes.

'I thought that he would stay at home to get his feathers regenerated. But they look perfectly fine. Where is he heading?'

My eyes followed his figure. He looked serious and stopped in front of an abandoned building that was located in a dark alley. I didn't really look suspicious, but I had a bad feeling inside my stomach.

'What the hell is he doing? Maybe i should go and see what he's doing.'

I opened the huge window and jumped at the window ledge. It was pretty high which was no surprise because I was on the 20th floor. My hand became sweaty and I held on the edge of the window. I almost lost balance and it caused me much more panic. My heart was beating so fast and I almost lost my consciousness.

'Calm down (Y/N). You can do it. It's probably not a good idea to fly with my secretary outfit but i can do it.'

I started to focus on my back so that I can create the wings. They appeared and I was ready to fly off but then the door of Hawks' office slammed against the wall which caused me to fall from the 20th floor.

I wasn't able to see who the person was because I was falling. I was now 160 feet (50 meter) away from hitting the ground. I focused on my wings hoping that it would work and it did. I was now flying. A lot of people were staring at me especially since sparkles fell off of my wings. I lightly blushed.

'That's awkward.'

I tried to locate where Hawks went, because it was a lot more difficult since I saw him from the agency's view.
It took some time but after awhile I found it. I landed and made my wings disappear.

I headed to the building Hawks went in. The door looked rusty and it was quite dark inside. I was lucky that the magic circles, that were on the backside of my hand, were glowing. Thanks to the bandana that I was still wearing, it was enough to light my way. The floor was full of trash. Most of it were empty cans.
I was turning around the corner and saw light shining out of a room. It was blue. Voices came out of the room and I recognized one of the voices. The voice was from Hawks.

I walked closer and looked through the open room. A tall man was standing there. He had dark hair, blue eyes and quite a lot of scars around his body.
Hawks was facing him and held one of his feathers, that he often used as a sword, against the guys throat. They both looked calm for some reason.

I was about to walk away and turned around, but heard Hawks mentioning my name. I tried to mind my own business but my curiosity took over. I walked back and didn't look at the floor.
An empty can was hitting against my high heel which made the can roll away.

It stopped in front of the guy's shoe. Both of them stopped talking and I slapped my hand over my mouth. My back was against the cold wall and my heart was beating like crazy.

'I knew it that it was a bad idea. What should I do? What should I do? I should try to walk away.'

I looked to my right side and saw blue eyes, which caused me to fall on my back. It was the guy that was talking with Hawks.

"Look who we got here, a little intruder." He kneed down and took a (h/c)-colored strand of my hair.
I gritted my teeth and was about to say something, but he quickly got up and a blue flame was coming out of his hand.

"Dabi, stay away from her." Hawks came from behind me. His voice sounded serious. He grabbed my hand and pulled me up, which caused me to bump into his chest.
"After all she's the daughter of AFO and I don't think that he would be happy to hear what you did to her."
He was still holding my hand and squeezed it lightly. His other arm was around my waist.

"Why should I even care about this old man? He isn't even my boss and he's in jail. I'll kill whoever I want. Now go away. You're starting to piss me off." Dabi said and walked away.

"I hope you aren't hurt (Y/N)."

"Don't worry I'm fine. Wasn't the guy from the League of Villains?"

"Dabi? Yes, but he still doesn't trust me and doesn't see me as a member of the League of Villains." He lowered his voice. He turned me around so that i was  looking at his face and he put his hands on my shoulders.
"He now knows that you were here and listened to our conversation. He also knows that you're AFOs daughter and might tell it Tomura. You should know that Tomura is still looking after you and still is angry that you didn't follow AFOs steps. (Y/N) you digged yourself into a deep hole. I'm sorry
(Y/N), but I can't guarantee your safety anymore."
