Lily's POV

"This was a bad idea!"

"Oh, don't fret! You're just borrowing a sweater!"

Not just anyone's sweater. It belonged to Sebastian.

"Grace, I appreciate your enthusiasm for wanting to support our House, but - "

"No buts! Not today, Lily."

Grace and I were heading towards the Quidditch pitch, arm in arm. We could hear loud music and cheering, even though the game has yet to begin. I felt my heart racing: this was the first Quidditch game of the season, and I knew Sebastian was going to make an appearance.

Last time Sebastian and I talked ended up in an argument, with many things being said. There were things I wish I could take back. Things I wish I didn't say. I was angry at him for lying to me, and dragging Ominis into this. But I felt like I also crossed the line when I said that I wish I never Sebastian. We haven't looked each other in the eye, not once, over the course of these couple of days, leading up to the game today.

Grace and I eventually made our way onto the bleachers, joining Ominis. I have not seen nor talked to Ominis ever since the morning he watched over me in the common room, and I wished to make sure he was alright.

"Ominis!" I called out, standing right beside him, with Grace near me, eyeing the Gryffindor men.

"Oh, Lily, afternoon!"

It was nice to hear from him, yet I couldn't help but to feel like I had to mention what Sebastian told me.

"Listen, I wanted to talk to you about something."

"I am aware of what you are about to bring up, but you need not to. I apologize for keeping something of such great importance away from you."

I eyed him with a confused expression painted across my face, "Did he - "

"Yes, Sebastian would not shut up for quite a bit that night."

I gripped the railings, biting my bottom lip.

"I am so sorry he made you do that for him..."

Ominis simply shook his head, "I already got my words in with him, trust me, he is very much aware of his actions."

I wondered how the talk between Sebastian and Ominis went, and what was mentioned. But I had no right to pry.

The game started with a whistle, and our attention went down below, with Sebastian grabbing the quaffle.

"Lily, would you be so kind as to tell me when something important happens in the game?"

So there I was, narrating the game, keeping my eye out for Sebastian in particular. I wouldn't say I was doing it because I wanted to keep tabs on him, which was half true. But I was also doing it for Ominis, who was Sebastian's best friend.

"Sebastian just scored yet another goal," I smiled, entertained and excited. Who would have thought that this Quidditch game was going to peak my interest, which it certainly did. "There he goes again - "

"Lily? Why did you stop? What's going on out there?"

I wasn't sure myself, but I watched Leander cut right in front of Sebastian, almost knocking him over. None of us could hear what they were shouting, with all the cheering going on in the background, but I knew something was up.

"Uh, Leander cut in and stopped Sebastian from scoring," I kept my eyes locked on the two men.

"Typical of that smug Gryffindor. I swear, he acts like a Slytherin sometimes."

I eyed Ominis after the comment, wondering if there was something I was missing between them and Leander. But my eyes went back to the pitch after a swoosh! made by the two brooms.

Sebastian was chasing Leander, trying to steer him clear of the goals. Trying to corner him. However, Imelda's annoying shout was enough to drag Sebastian back into the game, where he assisted with yet another goal.

"Another 10 points for Slytherin!" the announcer shouted.

"I assume Sebastian is back on track?" Ominis chuckled.

"Yes! Yes he is!" I yelled excitedly, with Grace laughing. Even Ominis joined us as the three of laughed, cheering for our House.

It all happened so fast. Almost too fast. We stood there, laughing, while Sebastian steered his broom closer to the bleachers, raising his arms up, and encouraging us. Everyone began to scream and shout, with many students going as far as yelling out his name.

"SALLOW! SALLOW!"

Yet, I was mute to all of that. All of my attention was on him, because all of his attention, despite all the shouting and screaming, was on me, too. Sebastian and I only saw each other in that moment.

I felt butterflies in my stomach, the exciting, thrilling kind. I felt my face flush. I could hear my heart race. Everything I have ever wanted, longed and hoped for, was right there, on the other side of the pitch, looking back at me.

"Slytherin takes the first victory of the season!"

The news of a post game party in the Slytherin House quickly spread around Hogwarts, and soon, the common room was filled with wizards and witches from every house, except for one.

Gryffindors were, and I quote, 'forbidden from attempting to enter the room and join the party.'

Losing to your number one rival came with a lot of bitterness and resentment, but none of the Gryffindor's were seen anywhere near the dungeons, yet alone the entrance to the common room.

I arrived to the party a bit late, promising Grace to at least stop by for a potion drink. The athletes were all dancing on top of the table that was conjured, knowing down a couple of potion mixtures that sat there. Imelda was among them, laughing as she took a big gulp of a glittery looking substance, clearly too distracted to be focusing on anything else.

"You made it!"

Grace joined my side, handing me that same glittery looking potion mixture in a cup, while drinking hers without a second thought.

"Who knew Ravenclaws were so good at mixing up good potions! Next time, I'll be asking Samantha to do my potions homework!"

Great. Samantha Dale was here too, and mixing potion drinks, nonetheless. I eyed the drink before choosing to set it aside, not wanting to test my luck with it. Not tonight. I eyed the common room, searching for a particular face, but Sebastian was nowhere to be found. Neither was Ominis. But I did remember Ominis saying he might retire to the library, to wait out the noise.

"Come on Lily, have some fun!"

Grace was tugging at my sweater now, giggling. Whatever potion mixture she just drank, it was making her feel the drowsy. I didn't want to be here, but I also didn't want to leave Grace to her own devices.

"Come," I grabbed her arm, leading us up the stairs, into the female side of the dormitory, "You've had too much of that mixture, let's get you to bed."

Grace was laughing in my arms now, twirling around like a dancer, "Lily, you're so not fun!" she hiccuped, "Oops, excuse me!"

Once we reached our room, I laid Grace down on her bed, tucking her in despite her attempts of trying to set herself free.

"Grace, please," I practically begged with a sigh, "I am not going to stay here, so I need you to be on your best behavior and just sleep this off, okay?"

"W - where are you going?" She tilts her head with a wide smile on her face, hiccuping once again.

"I'm going to look for Sebastian," I replied, sitting on the edge of her bed, and moving some of the little hairs out of her face.

"You and him are such a power couple!" Grace squeaked, turning to lay on her side, "Oh, the room is spinning. Lily, it's spinning!"

My face reddened at her comment about Sebastian and I. We definitely were anything but a couple, but it was a nice thought. I smiled, tucking her in further, "Just close your eyes, Grace. It will stop spinning very soon."

I walked to the door, waving Grace farewell for now, "I'm going to lock the door from the inside now."

"But how will you open it?!"

I chuckled, shaking my head. I had never seen Grace in such a state, and I hoped I wouldn't have to, not unless she is with me at all times. But I needed to find Sebastian.

"This is why Alohomora exists."

With that, I closed the door behind me, feeling the lock click. Grace should be safe. I walked down and across the common room, past all the shouting and yelling, as well as all the random singing and passing of the same glittery potion, towards the spiral staircase, exiting the dormitory.

The nerves didn't settle in until I stood in front of the entrance to the Undercroft, staring at the unique clock in front of me. I wasn't sure what I was waiting for. Perhaps I was stalling. I haven't been down at the Undercroft ever since I had to do a whole lot of convincing to not turn Sebastian in, despite all that happened. Standing here brought back all kind of feelings and memories.

You are just returning the sweater, Lils.

The smell of the Undercroft was nostalgic: the smell of old books, the wood, and the candles that were lit all around. The room was still dimly lit, and nothing was particularly out of place. The Undercroft was like a time capsule: it stayed the same, while we continued to change.

I found Sebastian eyeing the picture frame that led us to Isidora's pensieve, a constant memory of what could have been.

"I'll be right there with everyone shortly, Ominis - " he turned his body, our eyes locking, "oh - Lils?"

He wasn't expecting to find me here, and truth be told, neither did I. Yet here I was, coming face to face with Sebastian once again.

"H - hey," I nodded, hands crossed in front of me, "I'm not sure you want to go back there, Imelda is buzzed out of her mind, shouting all kind of nonsense."

Sebastian chuckled, a smile forming on his face, "Is that so? Perhaps I'll stay here then, until the party ends."

I smiled a bit, nodding, "Doesn't sound like a bad plan."

He shifted in place, eyeing the Undercroft, "I apologize, I didn't expect for you to come down here."

"Neither did I..." I admitted, looking away now, "I was going to leave your sweater down here."

"Why? It looks good on you."

His words took all the air out of my lungs, out of this room. I quickly looked up at him, to see if a I had imagined him saying that. But Sebastian remained standing there, red in the face now.

"I - I apologize, that wasn't the smartest thing to say, considering we..."

He cut himself off with a heavy sigh.

It was my turn to apologize.

"Sebastian, what I said a few days ago," I started, my voice slightly trembling now, "I didn't mean for it to sound the way it did. I - "

I had his attention now. Sebastian was looking at me, waiting for me to finish.

"I'm glad I met you," I felt my throat dry, "I would not change that, not for anything in this world, Sebastian."

Perhaps I said too much, because the panic and self doubt began to settle in, making me feel vulnerable in the moment. I wasn't thinking clearly back then, and I found myself struggling to think clearly even now, with Sebastian around. He was so close, yet so far.

I was met with silence, but it wasn't unexpected. I was sure after everything that happened, Sebastian, too, needed a moment, to process it all. Distance helped clear my head, but it was also the most difficult to withstand.ย

"Here, I'll leave the sweater here for you," I let out a small smile, walking towards the wooden stool where a pile of old books laid on.

There was always a strange sense of tension between us now, ever since we returned to Hogwarts. I couldn't stand it. I couldn't stand watching us fall apart like this. It wasn't right.

I heard Sebastian's footsteps echo down the Undercroft,ย  approaching me. I turned around, noticing how quick he was in closing the distance between us. His arms wrapped around my waist then, and he was able to easily lift me up, sitting me on trip of the stool. I heard the pile of books fall over, but all I could focus on was how close his face was to mine. Our lips a few inches apart.

"S - Sebastian?"ย  I gasped, red in the face, my heart just about ready to jump out of my chest.

His dark eyes stared into mine, focused. I couldn't tell exactly what he was thinking in the moment. But as Sebastian leaned closer, his hands gripping my waist tighter mow, I noticed that his lips were trembling.

Sebastian buried his face in my neck, quiet and unmoving. His hands wrapped around my lower body, their warmth sending shivers down my spine.

"Are you alright with this...?"

I didn't expect him to ask about my comfort, not in his current state. I nodded, leaning my head down, being able to pick up on his distinct fragrance: he smelled like the morning dew. The smell of early mornings, with fog still settled on the ground, and the freshly cut grass, with a mixture of the moist forest. He smelled like home.

I studied his arched figure, felt his warmth, his breath hitting my neck. I felt the urge to wrap my arms around him, to pull him into me for an embrace. Instead, my hands guided themselves to run my fingers through his hair.

"Sebastian...?" I half whispered.

His body shifted, before he could lift his head up to look at me, small tears forming in the corners of his eyes, "Yes, Lils?"

"What is it...? Why are you crying?" My voice was weaker. I felt vulnerable now, seeing Sebastian show these emotions.

"I thought I lost you..."

His voice was breaking, barely a whisper. I was holding back the tears of my own, locking eye contact with him. Sebastian's hands squeezed my waist, pulling me slightly underneath his body, closer to him. He was almost towering above me now.

"You are a bloody fool, Sebastian..." I whispered, smiling through the formed tears.

Sebastian chuckled softly,ย  "I have always been a fool, Lils," he leaned himself in, towards me, his lips barely an inch apart from mine, "You have no idea how long I have been waiting for this moment to come..."

His whisper was like music to my ears: so tender, it was melting me. I guided my hands up to cup his face.

"Have you really?"

Sebastian nodded, his hands sliding my body closer to the edge of the table, his head tilted to the side.

"All fifth - year, actually," he grinned in a playful manner.

Sebastian has always been charming, but tonight was different. There were still many questions that were left unanswered, but I wanted to set them all aside, just for tonight.

"Congratulations on your first win of the season, by the way," I giggled while we remained there, in the same position.

"Why, thank you, it was thoughtful of you to come and cheer for me today," Sebastian teased.

"Cheered for our House team," I corrected him with a giggle.

Sebastian rolled his eyes in a playful manner, "Yes, of course, you were there to cheer for the entire team," he continued to tease, humoring me.

It was a new experience, to laugh during such a delicate and intimate moment, but it was also sweet. It was everything I wanted it to be, and more.

Sebastian eyed my body underneath his, a small grin spreading on his lips. Our eyes locked as he continued to hold me there.

"May I...?"

He didn't have to ask. I was already leaning forward, nodding, "You may..."

When our lips met, I melted, to the way his lips, soft to the touch, sweet to the taste, felt. To the way our tongues danced together, to the way we gasped, wanting more. I felt the same butterflies circling around, the same way I felt out on the bleachers at the game. His big hands removed themselves from around my waist, and were now cupping my face, still just as tender and careful as before.

I've never kissed before, so I didn't have much of an expectation of what my first kiss would be. Much less who it would be with. But in that moment, I knew that my feelings for Sebastian would only grow stronger. I knew that I was beginning to fall deeper in love.

Ahhhh! 300 reads! I'm so excited to further develop their relationship, and continue writing for you all!
This was my first real attempt at writing an intimate kiss like this, so I hope it wasn't too plain or rushed. I don't want to rush their relationship, and there are still a lot of ideas I have in mind for adventures, drama , and other intimate moments like this.
Thank you for all the support! It means the world to me! ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—
