Dream resetted, this was the last straw! The times he tried to save Nightmare were fails, no matter how hard he tried to prevent the incident, it always failed. Every attempt was either too late or he got dragged by the villagers- those brats! How could he be so blind?! They-they did this! Oh! They were going to regret touching his crush. He made his way to the ' Tree of Feelings' to see his crush sitting there, reading a book. He heard the villagers calling out for him but he didn't answer, making them start to get angry at Nightmare who they now accused of his disappearance. They went back to the village, spreading the lies which gave Dream enough time to take his brother to their castle. He made a plan as he got closer to the tree, to Nightmare." Brother! Wanna hang out at our castle? You know, to have some time alone since we rarely hang out with each other?" Dream asked, hiding all the eagerness from him." I don't see why not, let's go." Nightmare closed his book before standing up, walking with Dream back to the castle. The villagers saw the tree with no one to gaurd it and took this opportunity to get the golden apples, unaware of the apples being poisonous if they are it without Dream's approval. They ate the apples, dying instantly from the bite. Panic rose from them, biting the dark apples only for the same thing to happen. They scattered away from the tree once they saw too many people dying, except for one person. Y/n, they weren't greedy nor ignorant like the others. Instead they bowed to the tree before receiving both apples from either side, the villagers not taking notice. The tree accepting their uncorrupted mind, seeing good in their SOUL." Thank you, Tree of Feelings. I need this to help my ill father, I thank you again." They swore they saw the Spirit of the tree nodding their head in understanding, bowing once again before taking their leave.

Dream and Nightmare chatted, laughing with each joke they cracked." O-oh my! Really?! Did Mrs. Anderson really yell at a firefly?!" Nightmare laughed, thinking that it was funny." YES!" Both burst out laughing, clutching their non-existant stomachs." I think we should head to bed, it's ge-" a Knock interrupted his sentence, both brothers looking at the door with suspicion. Dream was filled with anger when he thought of a villager, his aura hiding his anger." Who's there?" Dream asked, his anger in his voice well hidden." It's me, Y/n L/n." The voice said." Y/n?" Nightmare stood up and walked to the door, opening it to reveal their dearest friend." What are you doing here? Why do you have our apples?" Nightmare asked." I wanted to let you know that the villagers tried to eat your apples but died instantly. As for why I have these apples, I asked your mother if I could have two of the apples: one of your dark apples and one of Dream's apples. I need these to help my ill father." They explained." Oh, is he did his illness get better?" Nightmare asked while Dream stood by his side, the look on the young adult turned sad." I'm afraid not, I wanted to try one last thing before we have to..." They didn't want to say the last part, knowing that the two skeletons would understand." Oh, tell him that we both hope he gets well soon." He didn't hate everyone in the village, Y/n is their childhood best friend. Their family was nice to Nightmare and accepted him for who he was, not taking any false information from the other villagers." I will! And Dream?" They asked. He responded with a 'hmmm'." Can I talk to you in private?" They asked, Nightmare walked up to his room." Yes, what is it?" He asked, his tone serious." I know what you're planning..." The were serious, he sweated." And I have one thing to ask you..." He was sweating a lot." W-wh-what i-i-is i-it?" Damnit, he stuttered." You plan to kill the villagers, right?" They asked." Yes." He admitted." You can kill them since they pick on me but please, spare my family. That's all I ask of you." He was shocked but nodded." I will, I promise." He waved them goodnight and went to Nightmare's room, wanting to start his plan. Once he arrived in his room, he started to shrink Nightmare and dang was he a heavy sleeper! He opened his mouth and stuffed him in his maw before swallowing, smiling when he was going to start his killing spree- except he didn't want to kill Y/n's family." Get ready because this will be your last breath tonight." He told no one in particular. He got his massive scissors and went to the village, killing everyone except for Y/n's family.

Two years later

It has been two years since the incident! No one else came to the village to move in and Y/n's father got better, thx to the Spirit of the Tree of Feelings. Nightmare got used to his new life and started dating Dream! Everyone lived happily ever after!
