You were basically being dragged down the stairs at this point,  stumbling over your feet as you were thrown forwards.

Your sore and bruised feet stumbled upon the hard wooden floor as your legs tried to hold you up. Horror said nothing as he grabbed your hair and yanked you into another room. You never tried to escape or fight back because 1. You never had enough energy,  and 2. You already knew what would happen if you did.

You tried to mentally prepared yourself for what was about to happen,  though you never really saw the use. You sat upon the floor and watched as the skeleton lumbered over to the wall where his newly sharpened axe sat, the metal glistened menacingly as his hand grabbed it and twirled it around. You backed up until you felt the wall behind you. Even though this wasn't new to you, it would still hurt, that, you knew.

A new voice sounded in your head, it was a voice that you thought was long gone. It was the one that would tell you to run, to fight back. Why you listened to it that day was something you would never know, but always regret. Listening to that voice was how you found yourself rushing through the undergrowth,  tripping and tumbling through the trees,  trying to escape the place you had been forced to call "home" for years.

Stumbling on a tree root you face planted into the cold ground,  you heard a sickening crack as your arm snapped. Forcing yourself to hold in a scream,  you stood up and looked around, you met a red eye light, one you thought you could escape...

He smirked as he saw you struggling to stand up right.

You knew the moment he tossed his axe at you, the metal slicing through the air,  that you had lost, you knew that in a couple hours you would wake up again,  same as always,  and the nightmare would repeat...... right?

Wrong.

You waited in the darkness,  awaiting when you would open your eyes and see the gloomy room you had grown used to.  You waited to see the yellow light of the lamp kept by your bed.

You waited.

And waited.

But you never awoke...
