(Horror x Dust)

Chaos reined, slaughters happening throughout the kingdom of innocent people. It was a last resort. They had no other choice. Yeah, maybe they were notorious criminals, but they were all they had. They were promised freedom, in return for the head of the king. Even if Dream believed in peace and tranquility, even he knew there was no saving this long of theirs; he had gone too far. It was time to stop him. Permanently.

They stayed hidden within the shadows, running through the thicket of the king's garden. They had to admit, it was beautiful, but why he had like that, was inexcusable. He had slaves, working day and night, making sure everything was perfect, and then he barely paid them enough to buy the scraps of a rat's dinner. They each grimaced at the thought.

Finally, they reached the back entrance of the castle. Just as the arrived, a maid in dirtied rags walked out with a pair of scissors. She began her daily walk to the back of the garden to trim the hedges into lovely shapes. They slipped in, undetected by anyone on the inside. She knew they went in. She wanted her king dead for what he'd done. He deserved nothing less. She hoped he'd rot in tartorous for his crimes.

They came upon the throne room, watching as the king demanded another plate from a fearful looking maid. She bowed, quickly rushing out of the room. They each exchanged glances, silently making hand signs to one another. When the plan was set, they all nodded. The maid came back, setting a plate of delightful looking food. He angrily smacked the tray away, screaming at her. She cowered in fear, looking ready to cry. She ran out of the room, wiping her eyes.

"Useless peasant." The king snapped. He stood up, turning and gazing up at the stain-glass portrait of himself. He scowled, muttering an insult under his breath. He turned back around and almost shrieked as he came face-to-face with a butcher knife. He grimaced, glaring at the holder." Just what are you doing out of prison, Horror?"

"I was hired by the majority of the people." Horror said, his tone cold and venomous. The king laughed, gently hitting the knife with his hand, as if trying to playfully smack it away. Horror watched as he walked away, circling him.

"You see, Horror. You can't kill me." He said, smiling evilly." Who would rule?"

"There wouldn't be a ruler." A deathly calm voice spoke from the shadows. The king whirled around in fear.

"Correct." Another voice echoed from the ceiling. The king began to sweat.

"There would by equal power." The king back himself up against the window, Nightmare's tentacles whipping around. They beat against the floor, making small craters." And we would be free to run away."

"You can't! You wouldn't!" The king was panicking. He wasn't willing to face death just yet. The others, Dust, who was in the shadows, and Killer, who was on the ceiling. The king glared, sweat beading down his forehead. He looked around for some sort of exit, but there was none.

"You will not escape." Horror growled, readying his butcher knife. Dust summoned a bone, Killer with his knife. Nightmare chuckled, one of his tentacles slithering around his ankles to keep him in place. Killer blocked the door, sealing it shut just long enough for them to finish business.

They were done. They ran in their own directions. Horror and Dust were running in the same direction, having been born in the same town. They walked along the path, Horror stopping to admire the vegitation. Dust watched him, blushing slightly. He'd always thought he'd looked cute. Horror smiled silently to himself, knowing Dust was watching him.

"You were really cool back there." Horror said, surprising Dust. He smiled at him." I thought it was pretty badass."

"Thanks, you too." Dust stammered. Horror giggled. Dust suddenly, grabbed his wrist and pulled him close, cupping his face." You know I like you, don't you?"

"Maybe." Horror said with a smug looking smirk and a red blush dusting his cheeks.

"You're really fucking difficult."

"So I've been told."

Dust leaned in and kissed him.
