Trese Trailer

A few minutes after last chapter...

"So... This is supposed to be new?" Saber asks her male look alike.

"Yes. Its actually pretty good, and an accurate representation of Manila" King rolls his eyes.

Looking deeper into the crystal, Saber looks at King with a raised eyebrow then laughs suddenly,

"Well, I can't argue with the MRT breaking down near Guadalupe, with or without aswang. So fine, let's do it."

The door swings open, as the RWBY cast enters the theater.

"King, your back!" Ruby greets him.

"Yes, Ruby I'm back. So y'all ready to watch the multiverse?"King replies conjuring his popcorn.

"Hell yeah, we're ready. I hope its not like the last one though..." Yang replies, while taking her seat.

"I heard. Relax, its nothing like the last one. This one your gonna watch next, is sorta like a trailer for the universe we may view in the near future" King informs them.

"What exactly are we watching, King?" Ozpin asks King.

Looking thoughtfully, he turns to Saber for help explaining.

Saber turns to the audience, coughing

"Well be viewing the life of Cinder Fall, the current babaylan-mandirigma or simply the current guardian of Manila." She says simply.

"What do you mean by guardian, exactly?" Cinder asks curious about its implication.

"Its as I said. Your counterpart guards the passage between the world and the underworld. And, no if your thinking you can abuse the position your clearly stupid." Saber answers nipping any of Cinder's thoughts in the bud.

"Man, these universes are getting really weird. Next your gonna tell us, Red is secretly evil or something!" Roman says out of the blue, making King spit out his drink.

Roman looks at him, "Wait. I'm right, aren't I?

"Not... Exactly." King says making Saber look at him questioningly.

Coughing, Saber looks back at her audience

"As I was saying. You all will watch what is essentially a trailer. And maybe we can go watch more in the near future." Saber finishes as she inserts the crystal into the slot.

The screen opens up to reveal a bird's eye view of Manila. Then to an MRT suddenly breaking down.

"Apparently the train broke down over the Guadalupe Bridge."

"That's pretty ominous... Also, something I'd probably do" Roman says out of nowhere.

"Not that anyone would even need to try sabotaging the MRT..." Saber mutters to herself.

"Is this normal? For being the ones that personally know the location, you both seem pretty calm." Ozpin remarks at the two hosts uncaring attitude.

"You have no idea..." King sighs, putting an arm around his seat.

The screen blackens... Lightning up again, only to reveal aswang climbing up the railing towards the unsuspecting passengers.

"Dear Oum, what the hell is that!" Glynda steps back surprised.

"I agree. What kind of monsters even are those!" Willow looked at the screen petrified.

"They... Are called aswang, they are essentially a species of man eating monsters. Or atleast the ones I remember..." Saber answers calmly.

"And what are they like? How do you stop them? Assuming this universe doesn't have aura." Ozpin asks mildly intrigued because it oddly reminded him of the grimm.

"Stopping them, really depends on what type of aswang they are. It could go from silver anything to finding lower halves..." Saber tells Ozpin.

"Finding. Lower halves! There's hundreds of them! And what kind of monster needs you to find their lower half to kill? Can't you just find the upper half?" Weiss exclaims.

"We're you listening? I said it depends on the aswang, princess. And to answer your question the manananggal as they are called, not only do their upper half flies it's perpetually invulnerable when separated from its lower half." Saber answers the heiress.

Salem listened carefully to Saber's explanation, and silently wondered if she could make a grimm similar to these so called aswang.

"Service crew found it like this. A lot of blood, no dead bodies... And a pile of missing persons reports."

"That's a lot of blood... Not good." Summer analyzes the scene on-screen.

"It was most likely a kidnapping. Though definitely not the kind we would normally think of. Likely they're all dead, just not here on the train" Raven says, freeing her gaze from the gruesome scene.

"How no one saw the obvious monsters climbing up a bridge, is still quite possibly  beyond me" Sienna says.

"Tabi Tabi po" a female voice says, as the screen blackens again.

"I'm sorry. But does anybody recognize the language?" Weiss asks the others.

"It does feel familiar, somehow... I think its a lot similar to lower Mistralian. But I don't know what the voice said" Pyrrha responds.

The students go back and forth in trying to figure out what the phrase meant, amusing their hosts.

"As fun as it is to watch you all get analytical. The phrase tabi tabi po, could be translated as; Excuse me, please." Saber interrupts them.

"The heck- Excuse me? That's it? No, underlying meanings?" Weiss looks at Saber incredulously.

"Oh, there's a reason why. Its called respect, princess." King backs his counterpart up.

The screen lights back up, revealing a Nuno inside the sewer.

"Greetings, Young Fall" a voice resembling Torchwick's.

Mercury and Emerald double down on the floor laughing.

"HAHAHAHA. The hell happened to you?" Mercury let's out in between laughs.

"Your laughing at the greenier Roman now. Wait until he makes your balls get inflammation..." King mutters under his breath, though just enough to let everyone hear for some reason.

"Wait. What?" Emerald stops laughing. The rest of the group look at  Saber in confusion and mild horror from the guys.

"As he said. Roman is what we call a 'Nuno'. Essentially he's something of a fairy or goblin that lives in mounds, and Nuno's are known for cursing people that have been disrespectful to them, which insidently, is why Cinder had said 'Tabi Tabi po'." Saber clarifies their confusion.

"Torchwick doesn't have a semblance, does he? Could his beeee?" Yang says suggestively.

"If his semblance was to make people's privates shrink and grow at an exponential rate. Then I shudder to think what may become of Remnant." King responds.

"Ha! Tremble before me, mort-" Roman declares before getting bonked with an umbrella by Neo.

'I think that's enough destructive behavior today, hmm?' Neo signs to her boss.

Roman grumbles a fine, before scooting away from his partner.

"Good evening, Nuno" Cinder says stepping forward.

A younger Cinder walks towards a balete tree, surrounded by other mythical creatures as she draws closer to the giant tree.

"There was a time when magic and the world was a natural part of life."

"Is it just me or does she look a lot like Ruby" Sun says, squinting his eyes at Cinder.

"Yeah, I thought I was the only one. She does resemble the two Roses, no?"  Sage whispers to his teammates.

"Hey, uhh Cinder. Are you sure you and Red aren't sisters? You both are kinda similar" Roman asks his boss.

"Shut up! I'm sure!" Cinder snaps at Roman.

"Sheesh, I was just askin." Roman backs off from the topic.

Lightning strikes over the city. Revealing a doctor next to a car, then her mysterious fate.

"That age has passed."

"Interesting. So this world used to have magic... Perhaps I might learn something after all. Watts take notes, we may use this to our advantage" Salem instructs the mad scientists.

"Of course" Watts says, already taking down notes from the video.

Cinder looks at the screen with great interest, thinking what she may get out of watching this.

"People fear what they don't understand. That's why our family has always been the bridge between mankind. And the supernatural."

"Wait. That person narrating... I recognize that voice." Tai says all of a sudden, looking at Summer and Cinder.

Qrow immediately getting Tai's implication, spits out his drink.

"Shit. Your daughter in this universe isn't Ruby, its Miss Half Maiden over there"

"What about me then?" Ruby looks at Cinder then her mother.

"Maybe, your sisters?" Blake says to her team leader.

The screen shifts to Ironwood and Cinder with a ghost Sage.

"What the hell are we dealing with?" Ironwood looks over to Cinder.

Then again... With Cinder examining a bunch of organs, while Emerald, Mercury, and Ironwood step back and watch.

"That's nasty" Yang says disgusted.

"Uggh. Cinder's working with the cops. Why are we working with the cops? Isn't this like, not their territory?" Mercury groans at his other self and boss.

"Something tells me, something big is going to happen and soon." Ozpin says looking intrigued and a bit disturbed at the things that happened onscreen.

"The tribes are on edge. Making bad deals with badder folk." A elderly voice says, as the screen shows a brief glimpse of Jaques Schnee holding a knife menacingly.

"Tribes? What does father have anything to do with that?" Weiss looks at Saber confused.

"Its your father, princess. When isn't anyone on edge with that jackass around" Saber says unhelpfully.

"Likely. Mr. Schnee has something to do with these tribes, to what capacity, remains a mystery." Ozpin says to the heiress.

"That balance you and your father tried so desperately to maintain is at its end. Your treading on very thin ice, Young Fall." A mysterious voice says, as the screen briefly shows a number of slightly disturbing things.

And finally it settles on the face of a shocked Cinder, as she looks at Ruby sitting on a throne of skulls.

"What the hell! Ruby?" Yang says in shock at her sister.

"What's going on?" Ruby asks terrified at the events on screen.

"The destruction of that universe..." Saber finally let's out, looking un-bothered by the events on screen.

Ozpin and Salem meanwhile look at the screen in shock and fear.

'Is this where they went? Would this universe suffer the same fate as we had?' the two thought simultaneously, recognizing the voice of the God of Darkness.

Cinder gasps for air, as the screen turns to another image of Nuno.

"Can't be too sure about the underworld these days." Roman tells Cinder before going back down the sewers.

"What! What happened? It just cut off the important part!" Cinder demands glaring at the two.

"Because. It is not yet meant for you all to see..." King responds.

The settles to the images of people in cages, as Cinder investigates.

An arm reaches out startling her, only to find a woman reaching for help.

"Please help me..."

"That's disgusting! Who even does this?" Winter says in disgust.

"Monsters. That's what..." Qrow looks at the screen, dropping his beer disgusted.

Cinder glares at the screen, lightly touching her neck in a fast motion, remembering her stepmother and her mistreatment.

"You are the babaylan-mandirigma, healer and warrior." A voice recognized as Qrow says.

Cinder stands on top of a magic circle as she bravely looks forward.

"Reveal what is hidden" Cinder says, as her surroundings go black.

Then the screen cuts to a different event.

"You were born ready." Qrow says.

"Its all going so fast!" Ruby says getting overwhelmed by pace of the video.

"Is this why you described it as a trailer, Ms. Saber?" Ironwood asks the host.

"A bit." Saber responds.

"And now that you mention it. Cinder and Red, do look a lot like him" Roman points to Qrow, clearly he has a death wish, as Cinder tries to light him on fire.

"Okay, Roman. Shut up, I don't want my manor destroyed" King says as he pours water on the flames.

"Tai, the creature is tiyanak" Cinder says while running.

The screen cuts to Tai firing rounds at the baby-like monsters.

Jaune yelps in fright,

"What was that!"

"Oum, it looks terrible."

"Is that a baby! What sort of fucked up thing is that?"

Were some of the responses that followed from the audience.

Sighing, Saber calms them down.

"Everyone calm down. Let me tell you what it is, that thing as you put it. Is call a tiyanak, they are the restless souls of babies that were not baptised or for other reasons, like most spirits a drive for vengeance and closure"

"Are telling us that thing!? Used to be some baby that died and is haunting someone?" Summer says angrily.

"Yes, in this circumstance its haunting the mother that abandoned it on the road..." King frowns clearly disturbed as well.

"That's fucked up. And I'm supposed to be evil and crazy" Tyrian says, looking at the screen with a scowl.

'When the crazy scorpion draws a moral line, you know your fucked up' Saber thinks to herself chuckling inwardly.

"Don't you hear it calling for me?" A voice recognized to be Willow asks, as the screen shows a close up of the tiyanak.

The screen flips to another event, yet again. This time, to Cinder sitting in a carinderia.

"You want my advice? Keep your heads down" Roman says, while the screen shows zombies attacking a police station.

"Zombies! Really! Either Cinder's doing an awful job or its some kinda destiny." Roman complains.

"Not just any zombies, immortal zombies!" Saber cheers as she takes a can of beer from Qrow.

"Immortal zombies? Well damn, good thing Cinder has magic, eh?" Mercury rolls his eyes.

"Damn, she can't catch a break huh" Yang says looking at the screen.

"They're coming for revenge." Ironwood says looking outside of the precinct.

The screen pans over again, revealing Cinder and a small child, surrounded by aswang.

"If the lakan gets in the way. Kill her." An aswang orders.

"There's something bigger going on here. The tribes need to be united" Cinder says, as an image of the balete tree is engulfed by a blue explosion.

"Their magic... Its quite powerful." Watts lets out as he quickly jostles down in his notes.

Then the screen blacks out... Then lights up again...

Cinder throws her kris at an aswang, then dashing for it in quick succession.

"Magic. And quick, she alone easily surpasses anything the maidens are capable of dishing out." Salem says, watching Cinder's counterpart.

"Quite, with magic like that, she could easily surpass the maidens with sheer power." Ozpin finds himself agreeing with Salem.

"The tempest is brewing. And there are liars amongst your allies" an old voice says.

The RWBY cast look at each other. Ironwood and Salem look at Ozin.

"That must be why she was shown captured earlier." Raven points out

"I'm putting my bet on Torchwick." Qrow challenges his sister.

"I say, its Ironwood or silver and evil-curious over there" Raven says, accepting her brothers challenge.

Images flash quickly on the screen, showing more fighting and Cinder falling through a portal

"Let's put an end to this."

"Well. I guess you could say she's Cinder FALLING now, eh?" Yang jokes, making everyone groan.

"Please stop her, or I will burn her myself." Cinder looks at Ruby calmly?

"Your embarrassing us!" Ruby and Weiss hiss at the blonde.

"Hey, don't need to get all rubes about it Ruby"

"Oumdamit Yang! Please, stop! " Jaune groans.

"Well that's all folks, see ya later" Saber shouts over the students trying to stop Yang from making another pun or something.

A/N: No notes really, just wanted to say check out Trese on Netflix its an awesome show, that showcases Philippine Mythology and a bit of horror to spice things up.
