Chapter XXIV

Doctor Bartholomew Oobleck walked to the crate.

Two soldiers of the coast guard followed him to the crate. Oobleck had come here saying he had concerns, and they were confused.

"This is the one I'm talking about," he said, pointing to the crate.

"What's your problem with it?" one of the soldiers asked.

"It shouldn't exist," Oobleck said. "This ship left Atlas with 246 containers, but arrived with 247. I'm guessing there's something I'm not supposed to find in there."

"Listen, Professor--"

"Doctor."

"Listen, Doctor, we don't wanna know what's in Mr. Torchwick's crate."

"Things are working a little differently now. Open it up."

The guard shrugged, and headed to the crate, opening it up. Oobleck peered inside, and saw a large, box-shaped object covered by a fabric with the Wayne Enterprises emblem on it.

"What is this?"

He felt a sudden pain to the back of his head as one of the men behind him knocked him unconscious.

Two bullets were shot into his back . . .
