Kim Yeonhee (ROCKET PUNCH)

| first

it was hard to start a relationship with yeonhee, she was so shy, the both of you will even get nervous everytime you're holding her hand, she would panic and say a lot of words, stammering all the time and she would even blame your cold hands when she was just being so flustered and red like a ripe tomato.

that one time when the two of you first held hands together, it was awkward, she tensed up and can't hold your hand properly. "why is your hand so cold!?" she stammered, but not letting go. "it's because yours is too hot." you answered, flustered too, the two of you can't look at each other and it was getting the best of you. "is this one of your gimmicks again!?" yeonhee stammered back, her hand shaking, but her feet stayed glued at the same spot.

"no yeonhee!" you glared at her but was still holding her hand tightly, not wanting to let go in any seconds. yeonhee got flustered more. "just hold my hand." you demanded, pulling her closer which made her gasp and bump into your side.

the first holding hands was awkward, funny, but the first kiss was so intimate, no awkwardness, it was a kiss, an innocent kiss filled with love, her lips fits so nice with yours.

for some reason, you never understood what was it that made it hard to be affectionate, or at least feel okay with affection, you love her, yeah, she do too.

but it's just so embarrassing.

as time passes by, the two of you gets used to affection, and you decided that it wasn't bad after all, from pecks to shy kisses and holding hands to gradually clinging to each other even at public.

yeonhee after all was a person who longed for affection and warmth.

she may not admit it or at least say anything about it, she liked it, from the way she acts or her small action.

either way, you never found it weird or annoying, it just gets better as it last.

like aging a wine.

"hey, you forgot your coat, here take mine." you offered, immediately trying to take off your coat to give it to her, yet she shook her head, flustered. "no, i'm okay, you can have it. i'll be fine." she insisted, your faced turned worried, pure concern only written in the vivid expression present on your face.

yeonhee sighed and nodded. "fine, i forgot it sorry." she stated, her voice low and gentle. but you only chuckled, shaking your head. "it's alright, no worries, i'll be fine okay?" you assured her, though it looked like she was convinced you took it as a yes and guided her to the train station.

"do you want to stay in my apartment? it's cold and we're far from your dorm." she suggested, looking at you through the thick mist forming in her lips.

you hesitated, then declining, her roommate, juri must be there and it'll be embarrassing to disturb her. "no, it's alright, i'll just—" but even before you finish your sentence, she spoke, almost bursted out her bubble. "nope! y/n-ah, it's cold outside, and plus it's late too, juri isn't in the dorm so don't worry, it's just us."

you looked at her, lips open agape, then nodding. "okay, if you insist, i'll stay with you for the night." you smiled, at least trying to keep the tension nice.

"and if juri comes back earlier than expected, you don't have to worry, she's nice and she wouldn't mind a company." yeonhee added, smiling back, then there was the train, so you guided her inside and sat at an empty seat.

the night was cold, breezy, and you didn't like it, though you have to admit, it did still feel nice to be beside yeonhee and hold her hand while the train continues to run.

"it's so cold." yeonhee muttered, clinging closer to your frame as she tried to find warmth against the cold temperature. you sighed and held her, an arm wrapping itself in yeonhee's shoulders to giver her warmth.

"yeah it is, we're close though, we'll just take a bust to your dorm." she nodded as she heard your voice, leaning in close to your shoulder.

the train finally takes its stop, and you still held yeonhee even as you two exit the train station, to the nearest bus stop to her dormitory.

the two of you entered inside as you guided her and sat beside her. yeonhee leans in the seat, closing her eyes as she held your arms. "you feel sleepy?" you asked her, brushing some of her hair away from her delicate face.

yeonhee nodded. "yeah," she muttered.

after a long minutes or even an hour of the bus ride the two of you got into the bus stop near the dormitory, and you held her hand as the two of you got inside the building and eventually she opened the door inside the dorm.

you helped yeonhee take away her coat as you placed it in the couch.

yeonhee leaned in to your body, her head on your shoulders as she hugged you from the front, snoring softly, you helped her to balance herself as you held her frame, making sure she doesn't fall.

"careful yeonhee, let's get you to your room." you whispered, and though with her eyes closed, yeonhee seemed to get the message.

and then you found yourself laying beside her in the bed, as she snored herself to sleep and was cuddling your body.

it might be already late at night, and you weren't sure what time it is, yet you somehow feel awake for no reason, yeonhee's breathing, her heartbeat, her soft snores, her warmth, her body flushed to yours and just the way she exists right beside you.

the thought keeps you awake and you weren't sure if it's okay to just let it pass by.

something like this is very rare as life becomes busier and time is getting harder to manage, yet here you are, laying besides your girlfriend as she was huddled up in your body.

the same girl who hated skinships and being too affectionate.

you loved her, and though you never said it, never thought of it, it was there and it becomes present when she's near, it's cheesy and sounds funny but you seem to really like it.

"i love you yeonhee." you whispered, before drifting to sleep.

the next day you found yourself alone in the shared bed, no existence of a yeonhee, and you stood up, somehow being able to trudge downstairs with a newly awakened mind after a long sleep.

"ah good morning y/n-chan!" as soon as you got into the kitchen there was juri, sitting in the counter with her coffee and toast.

"y/n-ah, good morning." you looked behind you to see yeonhee wearing a cute apron and still in her pajamas.

"good morning." muttering, yeonhee gave you a small push to the table and made you sit down as she placed a plate of salmon, fried egg and bacons.

"eat well, we need get to our university early." she stated, then placing an orange juice in the table. juri sat across you before giggling.

"oh, typical yeonhee, she always gets so worked up in the morning, but she's good." juri stated as she took her breakfast.

the breakfast was amazing, it really was made by her whole heart, as if yeonhee puts her heart it into it and serves it with all love.

now you feel like you want to live with her someday.

yeah, someday.

you wore your coat and she took hers as the two of you took a bus to a train station then a train to the campus.

you dropped her off in her lecture hall just right in front of the door, the hallways seems empty and there was still no students present.

"right, i'll see you later." you smiled, nodding your head as she mutters a small yes.

you took some steps back before turning around but a hand held your wrist and you turned around back yo yeonhee.

"why? is there a problem?" you asked, but yeonhee was looking down and trying to take a deep breath.

"no, but take care, i'll see later." she stated and leaned in to place a small kiss in your lips before pulling away quickly and smiling. "love you." yeonhee muttered before entering the lecture hall and leaving you standing there.

being in a relationship with yeonhee was amazing, you have finally decided.
