with a smile, y/n took slow and big steps, coupling it with small hops of joy as she takes her journey home, it's a great day— just yesterday, kotone seemed to really like the cookie y/n made for her, and seeing her today from afar talking with her friends was enough to make y/n's heart leap with joy, it's funny— y/n couldn't get the courage to talk to kotone today, as she heard kotone was busy with her club activities, but she just wished she was able to wish her a good luck.

maybe tomorrow? y/n thought, swinging her body from left to right as she walks, from afar— yeseo, myah, sein and chaeyun are watching her behind a big post, examining the way y/n acts.

"see look at that idiot." yeseo grumbled, looking up to see myah laughing. "wow she looks so in love!" myah muttered, before looking at sein who was struggling because of chaeyun's weight. "hey! chaeyun i can't move!" sein grumbled under her breath as she tried pushing chaeyun.

"sein i can't see anything!" chaeyun whispered, hissing. yeseo sighed, they are so chaotic, myah pulled away from the two girls as y/n's presence began to disappear from their view.

"well what was that suppose to be for yeseo?" myah asked, shrugging. yeseo had told the three girls to come and follow her to see y/n and watch over her like a creep. sein moved away from chaeyun. "that girl— she confuses me sometimes." sein mumbled as she tried peeking from the post to see no y/n present anymore.

chaeyun laughed, dusting off her skirt. "she looks funny walking like that." chaeyun snickered, elbowing sein's side. "yeah, like she's literally hoping around." sein scratched her head.

"y/n, she really likes kotone huh? like i've never seen her like that, she always seems so angry, moody before— but now she's a lot more calm and always happy?" yeseo mumbled, yeseo had always cared for her friends, and she was scared that y/n would hurt herself because of her feelings for kotone, she never experienced things like this in her life before so it might hurt a lot, but her other friends seems to be okay with it.

myah slapped yeseo's shoulder and laughed. "you're such a worrywart! y/n will be fine! kotone is a niiiiice person!" myah assured yeseo— since yeseo had been always caring for her friends and significant ones, the mere thought of seeing y/n crying over kotone worries her.

"yeah yeah! watch kotone and you'll see!" chaeyun stated, leaning towards yeseo and eyeing her.

"sure..." yeseo mumbled and started walking to a different direction, the three other girls tailing over her.

as y/n walks on the road, she hears a set of footsteps behind her, a sound of shoes running towards her, she looked behind to see a small kid, the kid looked worried, and it seems like he doesn't know what to do.

y/n looks down at the boy, clearly, she had no idea what to do, but the boy looked like he was lost and is close to crying. y/n crouched to his level, smiling as she tried to comfort the child.

"hey, why are you crying?" y/n asked, strapping her bag on her shoulders as she tried to reach for the boy and wipe his tears. the boy sobs, before wiping off his own tears. "i don't know where am i." the boy cried.

y/n sighed, biting her lips, unable to think of what to say or do.

after contemplating, y/n gave up and stood up. "where were you earlier?" y/n asked, as she stretched her arm, asking for permission to hold the boy's hand. the boy complied, intertwining his fingers with y/n's.

"i was at the park with koko..." the boy mumbled, the two of them started walking to where the direction of the park was, it's not too far but at the same time there are a lot of houses in the area they were at— it would actually cause confusion to the boy.

"koko? where is koko?" y/n asked, as she guided the boy to where the park should be at, the boy looked up at her and shrugged. "she said she'll buy something first for me but i was worried she was gone and looked for her." the boy replied, y/n sighed, the boy must have thought that the koko girl left him.

"who is koko by the way?" they continued to walk, the boy smiled at y/n and said. "koko is my babysitter!" ah, so his babysitter, he must've thought she left him and went to look for her.

"well then we'll find her." y/n returned the same smile, they got closer and closer to the park, there were still some people playing and the boy looks around trying to spot an orange-haired girl, while y/n watches him.

"ryo!" a familiar voice calls, making y/n turn her head behind to see kotone approaching the young boy, she gasps, like really loud, and accidentally lets go of the boy's hands, putting both of her hands on her mouth. "y-you!" y/n muttered.

"where have you been?" kotone was wearing the same outfit she did last time— assuming she just got home from club activities. kotone was crouched down as she talked with the young boy and he answers. "i was looking for you and got lost."

kotone sighed, shaking her head. "i was so worried." she grumbled. y/n blushed, as she fiddled with her hands and felt her body warm up.

the boy looked at y/n's direction and pointed at her. "but she was there to take me back here!" ryo cheered, smiling widely at y/n, who flushed red and awkwardly waved her hands at kotone.

"y/n?" kotone muttered, slowly standing up and having an eye contact with y/n, who gulped and looked down. "a-ah yeah, i was walking home and noticed him following me around so i— tried talking to him." y/n stammered, unable to speak properly.

but kotone smiled and giggled. "thanks." y/n's world stopped for a moment as she stares at kotone who bowed at her as a thanks. "i was so worried about him." y/n snapped back as she heard kotone's deep voice.

"she was so nice to me!" ryo stated as he hopped and hugged y/n, who squealed and laughed.

"a-ah that was nothing..." y/n can feel kotone's eyes on her and it made her so embarrassed and shy. kotone pulled one of y/n's hand.

"if you want, you can get ice cream with us." kotone invited.

"s-sure!" y/n nodded.

.....

"thanks for that y/n." kotone and y/n had finally taken ryo home safely and now they're walking back home, kotone had insisted on taking y/n home as a thank you for what she did, it was all too much but why would y/n say no?

so here they are, walking side by side. "uh, it's nothing kotone, i was worried for him so i went with him back to the park. thanks for the ice cream." y/n responded, trying to stop the urge to squeal and smile with all her might, but the urge was a lot more stronger than her.

"huh, yes. i was glad ryo saw and followed you and i'm glad that it was you and not anyone else." kotone stated, as she walked in the same pace as y/n making sure she don't go to fast.for some reason, y/n was relieved to hear that from kotone, it made her feel like she was a trustworthy person to kotone. y/n nodded. "yeah, i'm happy that i saw him, he's really cute and nice too." kotone chuckled and smiled at y/n. "yeah i bet he is! he's a good boy." kotone agreed, fist pumping the air.

and from just a few meters away y/n can see their house as they get closer. and when they reached in front of the gate— y/n stopped from her tracks and faced kotone, smiling and waving her hand.

"uhm, thanks for today— this is our house." kotone took notes of the house and what it look like before smiling and waving back at y/n. "yeah, see you again tomorrow y/n." and as soon as y/n entered the gate she leaned on and smiled widely, squealing under her breath.

kotone laughed, scratching her cheek as she faced the different direction and started walking again.

"she's so..." y/n muttered as she ran inside of their house, screaming her lungs off, accidentally startling everyone inside their house.
