"what am i gonna do now? i'm in big trouble." minju mumbles, sticking out her thumb and biting it due to how nervous she was. she was currently in the defendant lobby of courtroom 4. as she was preparing herself for her upcoming trial in order to find what verdict will she get.

"i didn't murder him..." minju once again mumbles, with a stifle sniff, minju looks up and sees two bailiffs hanging around and felt an arise of fear as she thinks about how she will get a wrong verdict to a crime that wasn't hers.

"hey! you murderer! make sure you don't make noises when you enter the court trial!" one of the bailiffs stated, it caused a huge lump on her throat making her hold a sniff.

"i mind you two shutting up for the meantime eh?" one of the familiar voices speaks, bringing up dominance towards the two men, one of them scoffs. "tch! fine ms. young attorney prodigy!"

there minju looked up and saw the familiar girl named yabuki nako, one of minju's schoolmate in enozi university. wearing the familiar uniform with a big smile across her soft face, nako stood straight and strong.

minju was lost in a trance, how is she suppose to thank the gods for bringing such blessing in her life?

"hey minju! don't worry about those jerks! i'm here to defend you!" that smile in her face... does not have a plan to wipe away does it?

"t-thank you..." trying not to burst out in tears minju says.

"i believe you are not the murderer! now! believe in yourself too! we can pass through this!" nako stated, smiling up and holding up a thumbs up in her hands.

"n-nako....how am i suppose to prove i'm not the murderer?" said by minju as she fiddles her finger.

"that... that will come, we will get a not guilty verdict, i promise." nako stated as she looks down at minju who was sitting at the chairs.

there was silence between the two of then as minju tries to mentally help herself from her situation...

until— "i suppose you are kim minju eh?" a deep voice coming from a man came, he was along side a girl over their age as he speaks. "oh mr. jo!" nako greeted and bowed at him.

"ah yes nako, i suppose you are defending ms. kim today." mr. jo nods to himself, taking in a glance of minju and smiles.

"but wait— nako you ARE suppose to get ready to your next destination to the great britain, if you fail this case you would not be able to go there." mr. jo reminded nako, nako stood still, nodding.

"i do remember that, and i'm gonna make sure my great friend here gets a not guilty." nako stated, tho it felt like she was hesitating.

before everything happened that was what they were talking about in the famous english restaurant.

"and i am going to travel to the great britain to study a wider knowledge to the law."

"nako! that is great! i'm so happy for you!"

"if only i can take you there too..."

"nako, don't worry about me, i think you should be positive about it and always remember i'm here to support you."

"right. you are indeed right."

minju sighs. if minju gets a guilty verdict, nako's study abroad will not come true as it will damage her reputation as a prodigy attorney.

"well, as long as nako trusts you, i will too." a strong statement from mr. jo.

"and by the way, you are called to the judge chamber am i right?" mr. jo inquired, nako nods and bows to minju and mr. jo.

"right. i should make my way there."

the girl besides mr. jo spoke. "and i should assist you too."

they left.

"i guess the best thing for you to do is to defend yourself." a message from mr. jo that made minju look up.

"this is a homicide trial, a murder one, i think if nako gets a guilty verdict her whole dream will be doomed." right. mr. jo is right, and she will be the cause of it.

"i will defend myself?" minju mutters to herself.

"i see that potential in you young lady! with nako's guide you will see the light in you!" mr. jo smiled at minju, nodding to himself.

oh, i remember he is a professor in enozi university.

"i do believe you are innocent, mr. wilson, my friend has lost his life, and i am willing to find the truth behind it." mr. jo stated, looking up at the big door ahead of them.

"now, in this case, you have to do a risk, with nako beside you, you will be safe, just stay strong i promise, believe in your innocence and prove yourself to the court." mr. jo was right, no time for excuses, she needs to do a risk for her great friend.

"i.. i will do my best sir."

"that's good to hear. i will be watching you from the gallery."

then it's decided, kim minju will defend herself with nako by her side.
