Huh Yunjin (LE SSERAFIM)

| call me if you need/want me

"y/n can you still keep going?" a friend asked y/n as the girl started to feel dizzy on their booth inside a known club in their city near their university, the twenty years old girl had nowhere to go after a long day of doing nothing but college work- and to say it didn't stress her out was an understatement. it's cool, right. being one of the topnotchers in their entrance exams for biology students was amazing, it gave her that fame when she was seventeen, people knew her face and her name anywhere she went in their city and other places as she carried that title under her belt.

still now, even as a second year college student, people still recognize her because of that achievement and when she'd top the dean's listers like it was the easiest thing ever.

to carry that much pressure in such a young age really brought y/n down, she can't fail any test not even quizzes, it's gonna kill her to see the faces of her peers when she gets a low score or fails to answer their prof's questions, so even if it sucked real hard she had to go on.

another thing is that, finding a job won't be that easy, currently— y/n is doing a part-time job in her uncle's guitar shop and it pays her well, when one of their professors said that marks will not determine their future, she started to overthink life and what's her pure purpose. is it just to be that highest scorer? the multi-achiever? a burn-out used to be gifted child?

seriously, y/n does not know.

so today, when y/n got invited to drink (which was a first time) she had to say yes, surprising most of her block-mates.

one tower of alcohol passed and y/n shakes her head, ignoring her friend's question as she stood up from the booth and went away, trying to find the nearest restroom around. when she stood up, yuri— her friend tried to approach her and assist the girl but y/n shook her head and pulled her wrist away and said. "i'll be okay." with her dizzy head, shaking limbs, she tried to make her way past groups of unfamiliar faces, the smell of alcohol reeking in her dress.

y/n had skin contact with different people she passed by, the bare skin her dressed couldn't cover touched others, usually, y/n would feel uncomfortable in this type of environment if she was sober, but she wasn't even in her right state of mind— and as y/n was about to enter inside the restroom a figure of a tall man came into her view and made her step back a bit.

"hey miss, you look pretty lonely, do you need some company? i can help you." the guy in front of her spoke, who stood much taller than y/n, wavy and brown hair, his jaws are sharp, eyes are doe-y, lips are plum and his fashion taste was... nice, he wore a nice blazer on top of a button up shirt, his pants had no creases and his shoes were so shiny.

he's good looking, y/n can say that though she's too drunk to even think of anything.

"actually, i was trying to get inside the restroom." y/n answered, her voice is low as she spoke.

honestly, if she was sober, she'd give in but- hell, y/n wasn't on the right state. the guy could only chuckle and tapped y/n's bare shoulder, before leaning in to her ear. "i can come with you if you want." y/n shuddered at the breathe that fanned over her skin, it's cold and her body's burning warm on the alcohol.

it would have been better if the guy had not found her, if she wasn't looking like that, if she wasn't wearing that stupid dress that's sticking on her skin as she sweats, if she just wasn't a girl—

"sung y/n?" a voice of a woman, an octave lower than hers made y/n step behind and look over her shoulders, the guy in front of her glanced upwards to the woman behind y/n and then glanced down at y/n before passing the girl a single stick of cigarette.

y/n held it in her slender fingers, turning it around to see a phone number written on the stick. y/n turned her head back to the other girl behind her and raised her brows. "hi, do i know you?" y/n spoke, her voice buried under the sound of loud music blasting through every corner of the club, but the taller girl heard it clearly.

the tall blonde, striking and charming girl laughed, eyes scanning over y/n. "i don't think so but everyone knows you." y/n blinked her eyes at the taller girl, her face burning up every second.

looking down at the stick of cigarette in her hand, y/n took a breathe through her nose, smelling her and the girl's perfume mixed with alcohol. "oh, yeah i know." y/n muttered. the girl scratched her nape before looking around and walking to stand beside y/n who stayed still.

"i'm huh yunjin, third year at agribusiness major and same university as you." yunjin- like what she introduced herself as, grinned at y/n. through the corner of her eyes, y/n saw yunjin eye the cigarette on her hand. "should i introduce myself?" y/n asked, looking up yunjin before crumpling the stick of cigarette on her fingers and throwing it to the floor.

yunjin smiled at y/n, her face illuminating the colorful lights of the bar, eyes shining under the bright lights and y/n felt dizzy once again, lost in those eyes of yunjin.

"i mean you don't have to, you're pretty popular in our university, mostly to second year and third year students." yunjin said, y/n had not noticed the cup on yunjin's hand the whole time- too busy staring at her face. there's a blush dusting her cheeks, y/n laughed at the statement as she always heard it from lots of people, including students outside their university.

it wasn't the first time someone who's a year older approached her, sometimes guys a lot older would and y/n would have to decline— politely.

she thought it's probably the fact she snatched that number one at the rankings and added the fact their university was also well known in the country.

y/n would even get messages from random people, younger students asking for advices on their upcoming exams or older students asking her out.

she'd always choose the first option, it's more convenient than dealing with selfish sharks who only sees her as a flesh.

maybe, yunjin is also a shark, but an attractive shark.

yunjin had her other arm wrapped around y/n's shoulders, y/n did not mind it.

"it's suffocating here, let's go somewhere else." y/n muttered, looking around the sea of people huddled up into groups or pairs in every corner. yunjin nodded and placed her cup to a random table and started guiding y/n to the exit of the club, behind the building where they saw an empty lot.

the sound of music blasting inside was muffled when they stood outside, y/n never knew how much she needed the fresh air until she had a whiff of it.

feeling less tipsy, y/n leaned on to yunjin, hearing the girl chuckle and caress her shoulder. "it's cold right?" yunjin asked, seeing y/n shiver a bit. yunjin slides her arm off of y/n and takes her leather jacket off, then hanging it on y/n's shoulder and sliding her arm on y/n's frame once again (and y/n liked that).

"i think i need water." y/n stated, her voice a bit hoarse from the alcohol and her face is still warm. yunjin nodded and held y/n's hand as they started to walk across the street, there is a convenience store just a few blocks away from the club and the walk they were doing helped ease y/n's state.

they stopped in front of the glass doors and yunjin opened it for her, then the even colder air made y/n shiver not failing to make her face even more hotter than it was before. yunjin laughed at the reaction of y/n. "stay there, i'll go get some water." y/n sat at one of the chairs lined in front of the glass panes, she watches as motorcycles and people pass by the road almost every 1 minute that passed.

the street wasn't relatively empty, it's just that it's already late and dark outside.

when yunjin came back, she placed two big cups of instant tteokbokki that were smoking hot, two bottles of water and a carton of milk.

"eat, i'm so hungry and you probably are too." yunjin smiled sweetly at y/n, there's something about that smile of hers and the sheer kindness that made y/n more attracted to the woman despite only thinking of it as nothing but just a side effect of being drunk.

yeah, had never been this attracted to a person, let alone wanting to give someone a kiss as soon as they met.

yunjin started to eat and y/n stared at her before she followed. the tteokbokki was hot but it was perfect to awaken y/n's senses, she was less tired now after taking a walk and getting a bite of food at last.

they sat there besides each other, the store almost empty and there are some people entering and exiting once in a while. y/n felt her hand start to get colder because of the air inside the convenience store and yunjin watched as y/n took a sip of milk then water to push the sweetness and spiciness away. "better?" yunjin asked.

y/n smiled, which was a first and yunjin thought she looked absolutely gorgeous.

"yes." y/n simply answered, holding the leather jacket with her frail fingers, she shivered a bit and felt yunjin's hand resting in her right shoulder. "where do you want to go next?" yunjin asked, fingers reaching to pull strands of y/n's hair behind her ear. y/n's breath was ragged as she spoke.

"your place." y/n whispered back, only to receive a nod from yunjin.

there's some comfortable silence inside yunjin's car as it drove past the empty streets to the busy highway of their city. y/n's eyes landed on the post to a gate they past through, there's a sign that prints out the logo of their prestigious university.

still, it's quite cold, no matter where y/n went her warmth engulfed the cold air and her sweat had dried out.

yunjin peeks at the rear mirror, seeing the peaceful look on y/n's delicate face, her features are as beautiful as the view when yunjin stands in an empty field under a sunny day.

"sleepy?" yunjin asked, y/n wasn't drifting off to sleep though, she's just thinking thoughts.

her heart thumped loudly inside her chest, y/n looked back at yunjin and saw her side profile, eyes focused on the road in front of them.

there's a chance that tomorrow, they might just forget each other again, lost under the sea of unfamiliar faces roaming around the wide spaces of their campus, hiding behind the walls and behind the namesake of strangers.

y/n thought about it, maybe once she wakes up tomorrow, she won't even remember anything that had happened, the taste of alcohol— tteokbeokki and the milk; the heat creeping up on her body as she looked at yunjin, the sheer warmth of yunjin's jacket and yunjin's name, probably will never face her again and then they'll act that they never knew each other.

it's not that easy really.

before y/n even knew it, she had her eyes closed, arms wrapped around yunjin's neck and her body's leaning in closer to feel any kind of friction. yunjin held the girl with both her hands, one on her waist and one on her back.

lips connected to each other, y/n's face is burning up worse, her cheeks are flaring red and she's desperately looking for that connection she longed for.

y/n's hands cupped yunjin's face, pulling her closer as they both kissed.

y/n does not know whether it was the alcohol or that feeling of wanting someone so bad, she feels like there's something more than just a hook up between the two of them.

through the crack of the door, inside the dark room, the two of them stood by the bed, holding each other close, so close that the air around them is suffocating. the jacket laying unattended on the floor along with the keys and belt.

y/n pulled away, immediately trying to catch her breath as she opened her eyes and met yunjin's, even in the dark, y/n can see yunjin's features clearly— the light from the outside showed yunjin's eyes that gazed upon y/n, nose that stood tall, and lips that are glossed from the kiss.

it felt so good, the kiss was so magical y/n almost blurted out 'i love you', which would have been the worst mistake she could do tonight.

yunjin leaned closer and kissed y/n's cheek, caressing her lower back in an attempt to soother the younger girl. "you're so pretty." yunjin whispered as she buried her head on y/n's neck, the shorter girl's hair falling on to her and she gets a whiff of her fresh shampoo, hair damped in sweat.

y/n could only giggle, mind too lost to even form out an actual reply, touch deprived.

yunjin woke up, the other side of the bed is now empty and yunjin sat up, rubbed her eyes and looked once again, sighing as she remembered the figure of a woman just right beside her.

"she left already." yunjin muttered to herself, rubbing her face with her big palms then she groaned.

it's too bad really, that girl's just too pretty— usually yunjin gets over it easily, she wakes up, sees no one and then carries on like it's a normal day.

but today isn't, that girl she just pulled yesterday was too good, she's already lucky to have her one time but imagine having her more again?

yunjin would kill for that.

but just like any other hook ups, of course she's gone.

y/n's face is still engrave in her mind, from where they first saw each other, her smile in the convenience store, the taste of her lips and her perfume still clinging on the other pillow.

yunjin stood up, head aching and then she walked further in the room to her table and sees a note sticking on the surface of her table, with a ballpen on top of the paper and its cap off.

it's a phone number and underneath the phone number is a note.

incase you forget, it's sung y/n. call me of you need me ;)).

yunjin pulled the paper from the table, smiling at it as she held it on her hand. there's still a chance, yunjin can still give it a shot and she's gonna make sure it will be worth the effort then they'll make it last.

folding the paper and then picking up her clothes she started dressing up then burying the paper on one of her pockets.

jackpot!
