Fu Yaning (GP999)

| end of the day

"yaning, i love you." y/n mutters, looking over at the other girl who was laying down on the roof, eyes intently watching the moon and the dark sky.

the wind was strong, it was cold, and from downstairs, the loud ringing of the music while the party hasn't died down was still going strong, it was loud.

the non-stop chatters, shouts, cheers, even the loud bass of the music in every part of the house.

so y/n wasn't sure if yaning heard her.

but yaning didn't say a world.

they had nothing to do, but to lay down and watch the sky, just her, yaning and the moon.

y/n thinks yaning looked extremely pretty tonight, not just tonight; but always.

y/n couldn't say it, but she really really loved being with yaning no matter where it is, no matter what time of the day.

so though, she was unsure, she bit her lip and smiled.

just like how fast the day has been, the party downstairs is slowly dying, until none was heard except for yaning's steady breathing and y/n's fast heartbeat.

y/n didn't know how it started, where it came from.

it scared her, she was afraid, frightened, or anything that describes the fear she feels whenever she thinks about falling in love.

sometimes she just— y/n just doesn't understand herself.

from the morning, afternoon, and the end of the day— all she wanted was to be besides yaning and feel her presence seep into her.

y/n really doesn't know, and she hoped yaning harboured a feeling the same as hers.

because it'll be so unfair if she's the only one to feel those sparks flying everywhere inside her body, the tingly feeling, the warmth.

it'll be so unfair to know yaning doesn't feel the same way.

y/n would be lying if she said she didn't love or give a fuck about yaning, because hell— she'd risk anything for her.

"i like her." across the table, a young woman sighed and muttered.

y/n looked up to see her mother's expression in a confused, disappointed, angry, frustrated— or anything that writes disappointing and unsatisfied on it.

but her mother sighed, a deep one. and y/n felt like she was buried in it.

"y/n, get over it! wake up. it's just a phase you'll move on. it's just a flu." those words stabbed y/n like a knife, sharper than anything she had felt.

it stung.

"you must be possessed with some type of a devil." a priest retorted, looking at y/n with a horrid expression, frightened— as if he has seen a demon.

y/n sighed. "no it's not."

there was a shock look on her mother's face, disappointed look on her father's.

"we have to stop this, this is ridiculous." y/n's father sighed, palms roughly rubbing on his face.

"just let her be." he grumbled under his palms, before pulling it away and looking in his wife who looked, mad?

"no we can't! this isn't normal!"

y/n's father glanced at y/n who looked on her shoes, a frown lace on her face.

"it's already night, let's just end the discussion here." the man of the house paused, as he watched every little movement his daughter made.

"y/n you can go upstairs now." with that y/n stood up, not bothering to make an eye contact with anyone.

it was night, the end of the day.

and still, all she thought about was yaning.

it's not the devil, not the flu, abnormalities, it's not anything other than—

fu yaning.

"y/n you up?" y/n heard the familiar voice ring inside her ears.

so she looked up and met yaning's eyes.

"yes? ehem, yes." y/n raised her brows, in a rather inquiring look.

yaning laughed softly, heaving a small breath under her lips.

"cool, we can go to the arcade first before going home. sounds cool?" yaning inquired, smiling at the shorter girl.

y/n didn't care if yaning suggested the most boring of all the boring things in the world.

no it doesn't matter.

in the end of the day, she's with yaning— that's all y/n cares about.

their time in the arcade felt like the longest one ever, she enjoyed it so much, when yaning laughs, when she boasts, pouts when she loses.

god— anything or whatever yaning does, y/n loved it.

and the only thing y/n know, is that she says whatever she says, she does whatever she does, she wants whatever she wants.

loves whoever she loves, there's no other way to that.

for all the million mistakes y/n had made, no matter what type of mistake it is, she'll follow her heart no matter what.

even if it breaks sometimes and it'll be hard to pick up the pieces.

at the end of the day, all she wants is yaning.

"wow, that was fun and look it's almost the day is almost over." yaning heaved a laugh, looking up at the sky.

they sun is setting and it's getting dark.

y/n wished it'll be forever like this.

"yeah." y/n mutters.

yaning glanced at the shorter girl and grinned.

"want me to take you home?"

y/n felt safe, happy with yaning, and she was sure, even if the city sleeps, she hoped that at night she and yaning keeps on dreaming.

that when the sun goes down, she and yaning and everything will be alright.

y/n made an eye contact with yaning and nodded.

"ok."

the walk was quiet, the silence was loud and it rang in y/n's ears.

all she heard was crickets, her heartbeats, crickets, her footsteps, crickets and then yaning soft and steady breathing.

it calmed her.

naturally.

and the anxiety of having to face anyone inside their house was gone, she hoped she could just dive in her bed and sleep all the thoughts away and dream of yaning.

their little walk stopped abruptly, yaning looked over y/n who was staring at their house.

y/n faced yaning, smiling softly.

"take care." she mumbled.

stepping a little closer,

much closer.

there!

and she was only a few inches away from yaning.

yaning's cheeks heat up, yet she smiled.

"kiss me." yaning muttered.

y/n giggled, smiling and nodding.

she leaned in, lips brushing against yaning's lips as she pushed further for a kiss.

it was short but it felt good.

satisfying.

y/n hoped— wished she could just, y'know?

stay like that forever.

but it was the end of the day already.

and she looked forward for tomorrow too.
