Whoop

[···][···][···]

"That was legendary." Sakura murmured in awe, stretching her arms as she yawned. She locked her phone before checking the time. She just finished watching the whole series of 'How I Met Your Mother' and the feeling was odd for her, since she needs to find a worthy series, set of movies or a brand new hobby.

Her eyes bulged out once her vision made contact with the clock. It was early in the morning and she has a plan to meet up with her friend, Hinata.

She muttered a sigh as adrenaline rushed through her veins and she freshened up in a speed of light. Taking a quick shower, picking clothes, fixing her cherry hair, applying light make-up, she managed to do all of that with a maximum of twenty minutes. After wearing her thick caramel sweater and locking the door of her apartment, she grabbed her yellow umbrella then head out to her destination.

Sakura slumped her umbrella at the specific station inside the coffee shop as she ordered for her iced drink. She spotted her timid friend from a far before she earned her cup of coffee.

"Sakura?"

With her name being called, she jerked her head towards the certain direction as her eyesight caught a familiar figure.

She had to adjust her vision to see if it was real.

Because it was her old childhood friend.

"K-Kiba?"

"It's been a long time!" He smiled in exhilaration, squishing his former neighbor in a hug.

Sakura giggled at his reaction once they released themselves from each other's grip. "Yeah, how've you been doing?" She observed his surrounding aura and persona. Her friend was wearing a crimson polo that had its sleeves folded up to his elbow with jet-black slacks to match his shoes. His hair and features were almost the same, but it was more structured in Sakura's perspective-matured, perhaps?

"I'm good. Just having a break from work at the police agency." At the same time, his phone notified him which indicated that he had a message.

A groan left his lips as irritation maintained at his bewildered expression when he read the text.

"Duty calls?" Sakura guessed, giving him a smug look and he pouted in reply.

"Yeah," Kiba ruffled his hair in a bothered demeanor before exhaling. "We should catch up again some time." He suggested, beaming.

"Sure, 'til then." Sakura saluted playfully to which Kiba returned with pride as he took his leave.

"Hi Hinata, sorry I'm late." Sakura spoke once she got nearer as she occupied the cozy seat in front of Hinata.

"Don't worry you're not late, Sakura-chan." She flashed Sakura her angelic smile and she questioned. "Who was that, though?"

Sakura took a sip of her drink then she mentioned. "Oh, that was just my old neighbor."

Hinata was about to add something to her statement but Sakura got the first spot.

"It's been a long time since we've met up like this again," She continued as she placed the hot beverage on the glass table. "How's Naruto?"

Then Hinata completely forgot what she was about to ask.

The shy woman blushed at the thought of her husband. "Naruto-kun is all right. Just busy with work as always."

Sakura chuckled in reminiscence. "I still cannot believe that he has the lowest grades in our batch and now, he's one successful entrepreneur. I'm impressed to be frank."

"It was actually surprising on how we all ended up." Hinata acknowledged and Sakura gave a curt nod of agreement.

"We reached our goals, some even dreams."

Hinata sliced a piece of her cheesecake after answering. "How's your work, by the way?"

Sakura's work is controlling the business in terms of the Konoha's hospital. She would even handle patients at some point if she would have spare time.

Sakura shrugged, "Nothing much really. Just the usual tight schedules, how about you? I heard the daycare was a hit."

"The daycare is earning more money than we expected, but it was fun to play with kids." Hinata answered in glee since she was the one who thought of the daycare idea. Though, it was more of a hobby than a job to Hinata.

"That's good," Sakura took another gulp of her drink before responding. "By the way, I finished watching How I Met, too!"

As response, Hinata giggled softly. "The ending was unpredictable for me, though."

"Same, I didn't expect Ted to crawl back to Robin. I honestly like Barney and Robin pairing ever since Barney attempted to get her back."

Hinata nodded, confirming Sakura's thought. "I like the mother with Ted better than Robin."

"Exactly." Sakura sent her a smile, and she cheerfully added. "I even have a yellow umbrella!"

Hinata laughed at her friend's statement. "You're addicted, Sakura-chan."

"Better than addicted to drugs." Sakura defended, causing both of them to crack up.

"Sakura-chan, not to intrude, I'm just curious." Hinata began and Sakura mentally gulp at her serious tone. "But is he your boyfriend?"

Sakura's eyebrows furrowed. She was about to ask who, but then it smack her that Kiba was the subject. And that made her laugh.

"I'm sorry Hinata, I just-" She chuckled again. "Kiba's just a friend."

"Because you told me that you had a crush on a guy named Kiba before."

That made Sakura silent. It was no joke that Sakura had feelings for Kiba before, but she really did not know whether it was infatuation or a simple crush. Which is why she did not bother to acknowledge.

But now that Hinata brought it up, now that they are both mature. Maybe she could try. Try to fall again. It has been years and she has not met any guy that caught her attention or suited her likes and standards in a guy. So, why not?

Just then the sound of the drizzling thunder echoed throughout the store as the heavy rain dropped. Sakura glanced at her wristwatch before she cussed. "Sorry Hinata, I need to go to work. I'll see you tomorrow?"

Nodding in affirmation, Hinata let her friend attend her job as Sakura apologized again before taking her leave.

Once Sakura reached to get her umbrella, she gasped in surprised since her possession was missing.

"Someone must've stole it, I forgot that it could be easily snatched by someone else." She cursed, hiding her drink inside her sweater.

Waiting for the precipitation to die down a bit, she looked around for any signs of speeding vehicles before she ran off across the street.

She paused by a convenient store which had a roof above the sidewalk.

Contemplating whether to run like a lunatic to reach her work with soaked clothes or wait for the rainbow to come with more work to do, she figured that the location of her occupation was not that far. So, if she could sprint carefully then she might just be in time for work.

A reminder of the piles of paper-work at her desk urged her to dash off.

She grumbled before she was able to run for it. However, the hem of her jacket refused as she had been pulled backwards.

Then a voice stated in disbelief. "Are you crazy?"

Sakura stared at him intently. "I'm not the one who's pulling a stranger's sweater."

He released his grasp as he pointed to a car speeding. "You almost got hit by a car." He clarified as the car drifted at the edge of the road to take another route.

That made Sakura stuck in shock. Without this man, she could have been laying down at the floor-cold and dead.

"Why are you rushing anyways? You could easily trip with the rain pouring."

Sakura eyed him with a judging look. "Do I know you?" She studied his physical features. Black hair, built body, gorgeous face, and topped up with an attire of a business man.

"You should."

"Conceited bastard." Sakura's eye twitched, though she let it go with a sigh. "Thank you so much for saving my life. I'm truly glad and thankful, I'm just in a hurry to go to work. So, I really need to go."

She attempted to leave again, but he ceased her plans.

"Then why didn't you bring an umbrella or something?"

"I did, someone stole it when I was busy."

He rolled his eyes, snatching Sakura's forearm. "Come on."

"What the-again, do I know you?"

The man sighed in annoyance as he extended his hand. "Uchiha Sasuke."

Sakura huffed, giving up. "Haruno Sakura." Then she accepted his hand shake.

"Now, let's go." Sasuke inquired while he raised his sun-kissed umbrella, which has the exact same hue and design as Sakura's.

"You bastard, that's my umbrella!" Sakura yelled in realization.

"What? No, this is mine."

"No, that's mine." Sakura kept her guard as she pointed the symbols at the stem of the umbrella. "See, it has S.K. written on it by correction fluid, I marked that item myself!"

"It's S.K. as in SasuKe, idiot."

"It's SaKura, you moron!"

"My friend gave this to me."

Sakura scoffed and crossed her arms against her chest. "Well, that friend of yours is a stealer. I bought that myself because of the How I Met Your Mother series!"

"You're annoying, let's just go." He ended the simple argument by just that as Sakura obeyed, she was now late after all.

So Sakura walked with Sasuke side by side as she led the way in the midst of the descending rain.

Only the sound of the droplets of rain could be heard once silence surrounded the two individuals. Until one started a conversation and stopped the quietness.

"You a starbucks fan?"

"What?"

He peeked over the cup she was clutching.

"If you count that as a fan of chocolate or coffee then, yup." Sakura replied, bringing the tip of her drink towards her mouth. "What do you do for life?" She asked after swallowing.

"I'm a business man, you?"

"That explains the formal get-up." Sakura exclaimed in her thoughts before answering. She knew that she should set up some boundaries since he might as well be a killer or something, so she decided to tell a broad fact. "Just a normal business woman handling finances."

It was true enough, she was the one who handles practically everything with the Konoha hospital-and finances was one of the many.

"Is your hair-"

"Natural?" Sakura caught a glimpse of him and she smiled slightly in return. "Yes, even my eyes are despite the fact that most of the population in this country thinks that I dyed it."

"Is it a bad thing for you?"

"Sometimes."

"Don't be, it makes you look unique."

Sakura clicked her tongue. "Perks of being different," Then she averted her gaze towards the man beside her and she showed a glint of suspicion. "How about you?"

"What about me?"

"Did you have plastic surgery or something?" Sakura studied him, especially his face.

Sasuke gave her an ominous look as if she grew another head. "What the hell, why would I?"

"I don't know, your face seems unrealistic."

"What do you mean?" A hint of offend could be seen behind his stoic expression.

Sakura chuckled in delight. "Too good to be true."

Grunting in disbelief, Sasuke responded. "A few minutes ago, you treat me as a stranger. Now I'm a friend?"

Sakura nodded at this, which resulted for Sasuke's poker face to activate. "You're absurd."

"If I talk comfortably with you and you seem that companion type that I consider, then you're my friend." An adoring grin crept up Sakura's lips before she asked in curiosity. "Don't you think that?"

"No. If you're annoying, you're annoying."

Because of that, Sasuke gain a weird trance from Sakura. "Sheesh, I wonder if you even have friends at all."

"You're my friend."

"I thought you called me annoying?"

"I can make exemptions."

"And you call me absurd." Sakura commented, stopping her tracks in front of the Konoha Hospital's entrance "Well, this is my stop. Thanks for saving me again and nice knowing you." She lend out her hand for a hand shake with a smile plastered on her face. "Hope we would cross paths again."

Sasuke smirked in reply, attracting Sakura as he used his index finger to poke her forehead. "See you around." He mentioned and he left afterwards.

In a fast mode, Sakura swiftly went up to her office as she closed the wooden door and leaned her back on it. She grinned to herself, remembering what just happened. His retreating figure came to her mind as she realized.

"My umbrella!"

[···]

"Ms. Haruno," She heard her assistant knocked from the door.

"Yes?"

"There is a special package for you."

Hearing the response, Sakura's mind switched from stress to frustration. New contracts and official financial statements would come in more than a week from now. In addition, her friends are nearly busy in this season of overtime hours. So what was it?

She let her thoughts drain. Then she ordered for her assistant to come in and seek for her answers right away or else it might result to a migraine.

Sakura's assistant placed the items at her desk as she organized the scattered files at her extensive drawers. When Sakura was the only one in the room, her jaw literally dropped at what she saw.

It was her yellow umbrella.

She quickly held it with her own very hands as a grin appeared at her thin lips. It has been nearly a week since that incident happened. And that Sakura refused to date other guys, hence the reason why she did not bother to call Kiba, because of that hope. Hope that she may see Sasuke again one day.

Keeping the joy to herself, she opened the umbrella as pleasant memories flashed back.

However, a piece of paper fell once the cloth stretched as she raise the umbrella.

Sakura picked it up and that is when her theory-that life was filled with surprises-was answered.

Sasuke Uchiha
CEO of Uchiha Enterprises

Below that was mixed with various numbers. It was his calling card.

That was how Sakura got her yellow umbrella back-with an increment of meeting the love of her life.
