Skip the Phase

Neteyam returned back to school, still feared as ever. Every thing went back to normal. Wake up, eat, go to school, argue, go home, eat, sleep.

The bell rang. Neteyam grabbed his back and walked to the door, as he walked and went, he came across Mrs. Ko'ei's office, his science teacher. He was reminded of how he had to submit his essay today before he returned home. He opened the door and two pairs of eyes instantly went his direction, eye to eye with both four.

"HOLY SHIT?!" Neteyam yelled all of a sudden, Ao'nung was making out with a random girl in Mrs. Ko'ei's office. The girl was sitting on Ao'nung's lap, it got awkward. "You! Get out!" Neteyam said to the girl as she rushed out the door. Ao'nung walked up to him. "Why the fuck would you make out in a teacher's office?!" Neteyam whisper-yelled to Ao'nung. "Why not?" Ao'nung teased, before walking out the door. Neteyam rolled his eyes and walked to the desk and placed his paper on top of the others.

There was a new student, her name was Jh'ae. She shared physics class with Neteyam and Ao'nung, but she was seatmates with Neteyam. The two got along well and became close. Sometimes they even came over to each other's place. Soon, rumours circulated the school about Neteyam and Jh'ae's relationship.

Neteyam, Jh'ae, Kiri, Rotxo, Lo'ak and Tsireya were eating lunch one day. "So are you guys dating?" Rotxo broke the silence. Neteyam choked on his food. "Damn, maybe they are!" Lo'ak joked. "You know Lo'ak I wouldn't mind if you shut the fuck up for a minute." Jh'ae said as she patted Neteyam's back. "Answer it though, are you guys?" Kiri said as she drank the juice Rotxo gave her. "No." Neteyam said defensively. "Plus I like someone else." He said as he cleared his tray. "You do?! How come you never told me!" Jh'ae stressed. "What is your guys' sexualities?" Tsireya asked. "I'm Bi." Kiri said and Lo'ak continued. "Y'all already know." He mumbled while chewing on his food. "I'm Pan." Jh'ae went ahead. "Straight." Rotxo said confidently. Neteyam kept quiet. "Bro?" Lo'ak asked. "I honestly never thought of my sexuality. Let's say I'm still quite unsure." He smiled politely. "Boringggg.." Jh'ae moaned as he chuckled.

Neteyam thought about his liking before bed, and when he started, he couldn't stop. He couldn't sleep either. He turned and turned in his bed, his bed squeaked and squeaked. He laid on his bed, staring at the ceiling, thinking.. thinking.. "Neteyam te Suli Tsyeyk'itan you go to bed right now or else!!" Jake yelled across the second floor.

Lo'ak-chan
"I knew it was you LMAOOO"

kiri-san
"Are you jerkign off or what 💀"

teyam-sama
"WHAT?? OFC NOT"
"just thinking abt smth.."

Lo'ak-chan
"You crush?"

teyam-sama
"Gtfo"

Neteyam put his phone down. His thoughts suddenly turned to Ao'nung. Ao'nung.. thinking of him, made Neteyam feel weird. Like butterflies-in-my-stomach kind of weird. He lightly blushed. Did he like Ao'nung? No way. NO WAY.

He heard a knock from his window. He opened the curtains and saw Ao'nung hanging from his window frame. He waved as Neteyam stared at him wide eyed, he slid the window open. "What the hell are you doing here?!" He whisper-yelled. Ao'nung jumped inside. "Nothing, I know you couldn't sleep." "Yes I could until you." He locked the door and closed his window and crossed his arms. "What do you want Ao'nung?" "I missed you." He smiled at Neteyam innocently. "We see each other at school everyday now get out." "I mean I miss you, you left me for that Jacob girl." Ao'nung pouted at him. "One, I don't care we're barely even friends. Two, her name is Jh'ae." "I don't mind if we skip the friend phase." Ao'nung teased as he stepped closer. Neteyam backed off a bit. "What are you trying to say Ao'nung." Ao'nung lightly pushed Neteyam into the wall and trapped him there with his arm. "You're mine." He lifted Neteyam's chin with his finger and rose his eyebrows. The two made eye contact. Neteyam was so confused, they don't even get along, so why does he feel this way? Ao'nung leaned in, he pecked Neteyam's lips softly. The two closed their eyes. "I knew it." Ao'nung smirked before pulling away. Ao'nung sat on the window frame before winking at Neteyam, then he left.

Neteyam stood there, stunned. Everything happened so quick. He touched his lips with fingers. He turned pink. 'Holy shit.' He thought. He knew now, that he wasn't going to be able to sleep at all.

Neteyam went to school the next day, he was lost. He zoned out the whole day and barely talked to anyone. "Teyam? Neteyam!" Kiri banged their lunch table. "Huh?! What's happening?!" "You've been zoning out since this morning bro, you even acted weird last night." Lo'ak said. Neteyam shook his head. "Sorry just had a bad dream." He shrugged. Ao'nung was at the table next to theirs, he and his friends heard everything as a smirk creeped on Ao'nung's face.

"were we kissing in the dream you had?"

Ao'nung texted Neteyam. Neteyam read the notification and turned a hot red. "Bro what the hell?" Jh'ae went as she tried peaking into Neteyam's phone. Neteyam cleared his tray and fixed his things. "Sorry I-I.. gotta go." He stuttered.

Neteyam locked himself in one of the bathroom stalls, his face in his hands. "Still can't move on from my magical move Mr. President?" Neteyam recognized the voice instantly. He flung the stall door open and dug a finger into Ao'nung's chest. "YOU'RE THE REASON WHY I'M LIKE THIS. DO YOU KNOW HOW EMBARRASSING THIS IS FOR ME?!" "Are you mad?" "Yes Ao'nung! I'm mad! How could I be not?! My life was perfect before you came BACK into it!" Ao'nung paused for awhile. "But you love me." Ao'nung said blankly. "You're crazy, I don't." "Then why didn't you stop me last night?" "I.." Neteyam looked down at his feet. Lo'ak entered the bathroom. "Holy shit what's happening here?" Neteyam looked at Lo'ak with teary eyes and then back to Ao'nung. He ran out of the room before his tears fell.

He skipped his two last classes and walked to the forest. He stopped at a small treehouse. He found it a few years back and fixed it up a little bit, so he called it his secret spot. It had no roof so he could see the sky, but had a few branches which covered the sun. But in the night he could move those branches aside and see the stars at the same time.

He climbed up and took off the cover of the sofa bed there which he bought a while back, he laid on it. He was relaxed there, no one to bother him whatsoever.
