(7) My beautiful strong girl...

Tyane took the arrow nearest to her and hurtled blindly it at the source, Hissing loudly, assuming it was one of the avatars who survived. Only to find Neteyam pushing Lo'ak to the ground to avoid having a brother with an arrow through his scull, the arrow embedded itself in the first thing behind Lo'ak, and it sank to its middle into the poor tree.

"HEY! WHAT THE HELL?!" Lo'ak looked at her, then the arrow and back again.

Neteyam burst into laughter "You're welcome bro," He pointed to the tree "That could have been you". "Sorry," Tyane said sheepishly, biting her lip to keep from laughing. Tuk didn't

Tuk and Neteyam's laughter died down as Neytiri walked towards her eldest daughter eyes full of tears, she extended her hand as if to touch Tyane's face, but stopped herself an inch away

"My beautiful strong girl..." Neytiri's eyes took in the gash from Tyane'nor's left brow to the right side of her chin.

Neytiri's eyes hardened and she said with deadly calm "Give me a name."

"Z Dog. Dead." Tyane said her expression mirroring her mother's

"The rest will pay"

"I know. I'll make them."

Neytiri smiled "Let's get you to the Tsahik"

Tyane'nor only smiled before everything went black again.

Tarsem and Mar'uay were talking and feeding their Ikran when Jake, Neytiri and Neteyam landed next to them with the rest of the Sullys, only one of the Ikran caught his attention as his eyes searched for the eldest Sully.

His heart dropped when he saw Jake carrying the girl in his arms while trying to dismount, her face was covered in blood... Tarsem froze and Mar'uay beat him to Jake's side taking Tyane from him

Tarsem was next to him in a second "Well come on! let's take her to the Tsahík" He took her from him and sprinted to Mo'at's tent their friend running at his side.

Mar'uay opened the tent flaps for him and Tarsem set Tyane down in front of Mo'at whose eyes widened and grabbed a salves and cream as well as a needle to sew the deep-looking wound shut.

"What. Happened." She looked at the two boys their eyes wide staring at their unconscious friend's face.

"The Olo'eytikan just brought her and she was like this" Mar'uay answered

As if on cue Jake and Neytiri entered the tent. while the rest of the Sully siblings stayed outside.
Jake briefed Mo'at on what happened either not noticing or ignoring the fact that Mar'uay and Tarsem were there.

So they listened to Jake's explanation, while Neytiri played with her daughter's hair and Mo'at was working on the cut on her granddaughter's face, Mar'uay and Tarsem paled by the second sitting in a place frozen with the fear of what could have happened.

~~~
Outside the tent, Til was sitting on Neteyam's lap and Lo'ak on his left resting his head on his brother's shoulder and Kiri sitting next to Spider who was sitting on a rock Kiri's head resting on his right shoulder.
They were sitting in tense silence, listening to their father tell their grandmother what happened through the tent flaps until Kiri decided to break it.
"It's weird..." the attention drifted to her "...Out of everyone..." She gulped "I never thought I'd ever hear her scream like that..." She looked around "You know?"
"I can still hear her... " Lo'ak said quietly
"She... screamed?" Tuk asked her voice breaking, Neteyam's face mirrored Tuk's voice.
Tuktirey started crying "It's my fault...Tyane'nor hurt the avatar to protect me" She hiccuped "The avatar hurt her because of me" The little girl broke down completely.
"No, Tuk" Lo'ak spoke for the first time since they were rescued "It's my fault... I promised her to leave the moment she saw the danger and ordered us to leave" He was crying too.
If there was one thing that made Tyane'nor stand out from the rest of their siblings. Was the fact that she understood him most, she understood his urge to follow his heart and live his life. Another thing that was their thing was the fact that they never broke promises to one another.
"No. Everyone stop." Neteyam said his eyes hard and face full of determination "Tuk, Tyane'nor would rather die than let anything happen to you. And Lo'ak It isn't your fault, the sky people did this to her. Not you. Okay?" he looked every one of them in the eye "And for the love of Eywa stops talking about her like..." he sighed "she's going to be fine"
As Neteyam said that they saw Norm run into their grandmother's tent and run out of it just as fast. Human tech was always the very last resort
~~~

Jake asked Norm to come to Mo'at's tent and briefed him on the situation.

The Tsahík treated his daughter's injury but said that the girl already lost too much blood and that for now they could do nothing but wait for her body to generate more blood... But there was something else in her voice... She was scared... And that scared Jake even more.

So he called Norm and asked if they can "take a sample of her blood and duplicate it or something... " and he realised he made the right decision when Mo'at gave him a nod instead of the disapproving look she'd usually give him when resorting to human medicine.
