Alternative of Mana

Next day, in a field, two young men were chatting.

"Hey Asta! Did you get your grimoire?" I asked, trying to act normal.

"You bet! Zon," Asta replied loudly.

"Oh! Let me see it," I said eagerly.

"Okay!" Asta replied confidently.

Asta's grimoire started floating, and he took out a big sword—Anti-Magic.

"Hehe! Shocked to the core, huh, Zon!" Asta said proudly.

"Hm, let's spar against each other," I suggested, wanting to see something.

"Okay, Zon," Asta agreed.

I then adjusted my posture and got into a fighting stance.

"Huh? You're not going to use your grimoire?" Asta asked, sounding confused.

"Not yet. But if you can beat me, I will use it," I responded.

"You're underestimating me, Zon!" Asta exclaimed loudly as he came running toward me.

He swung his huge sword at me, but I dodged it. I countered with a punch to his face, which he evaded, and then swung his sword horizontally at me. This time, I utilized Cursed Energy, concentrated it in my hand, and threw a punch at the sword. Boom!

Asta was brutally thrown out, and it took him a few seconds to come to a stop.

"What was that, Zon?" Asta asked, sounding confused and loud.

"Secret," I replied with a smile, helping him up.

"Secret! Humph, okay," Asta said, annoyed.

"See you," I bid farewell to Asta and left the scene.

"Hmm," Asta mumbled.

It seems that Cursed Energy cannot be negated by Anti-Magic; it can only negate Mana. Yesterday, when I was using Cursed Magic, I learned that I can control Cursed Energy even in my non-Sukuna form, but it is quite unstable. I have to perfect it so that I won't have to rely on the Sukuna form every time.

It's good that I obtained Sukuna Hand-to-Hand Combat at a master level from the grimoire.

The problem now is how to use Cursed Magic in the same way as Mana. Mana and Cursed Energy are opposite in nature. In the Magic Knight Entrance Exam, candidates are required to use Mana to pass the various tests, but I don't have any Mana. Whenever I meditate and try to absorb Mana, it violently dissipates from my body.

I have to find an alternative to Mana.

I started searching for an alternative to Mana and a way to use Cursed Energy in a stable form. Over the next six months, I studied the characteristics of Mana and Cursed Energy while training in Hand-to-Hand Combat. I also occasionally sparred with Yuno and Asta.

Six months later, in a dense forest, a boy stood meditating. Suddenly, he opened his eyes and started laughing maniacally.

"I successfully found an alternative to Mana!" I exclaimed, overwhelmed with joy.

"If I use Cursed Energy outside my body, it behaves violently. However, if I use it inside an object, it behaves just like usual and follows my will. The problem lies with the outside Mana trying to disrupt the Cursed Magic. To counter that, I will apply a thick layer of Cursed Energy around the object's surroundings, preventing the outside Mana from disrupting the Cursed Energy inside," I explained to myself.

"During the fight with Asta, I was unable to maintain the flow of Cursed Energy to my arm. The outside Mana continuously tried to disrupt the Cursed Energy, forcing me to finish the fight in just a few seconds. But now, I can fully utilize Cursed Energy outside my body by forming a thick barrier of Cursed Energy around it and connecting it to me. The Mana outside will attempt to disrupt the Cursed Energy, but the thick barrier I create will nullify its effects," I further analyzed.

All of this is still theoretical. I should test it first.

I released a thick barrier of Cursed Energy around my body, causing it to fluctuate like waves, similar to Super Saiyan but stable. Since I'm releasing Cursed Energy within my body's range, it remains connected to my entire body. The color of my Cursed Energy is purple, visible in its dense form.

I then concentrated a moderate amount of Cursed Energy in my arm, and guess what?

It was a success! The Cursed Energy suddenly burst out of my arm, flowing like waves.

Operation completed.
