Morning Run Part 2 (Steve Rogers x reader x platonic!Sam Wilson)

You let out a loud laugh as Sam threw popcorn at Steve who tried to catch it in his mouth and failed. "Stevie, I think you should stop trying," you said. The three of you had completely forgotten about the movie droning on in the background in favor of the popcorn catching competition. Steve glared at you. "Never. Steven Grant Rogers does not know the meaning of giving up!" Steve cried, motioning for Sam to try again.

You shook your head lovingly at your boyfriend. Your run this morning had been less than ideal, but the aftermath was tons of fun. As soon as the three of you were inside, you started in on an Indiana Jones movie marathon. You made it through the first movie and halfway through the second before the competition began between the two men. Soon, popcorn and different kinds of candies were being tossed back and forth across your and Steve's living room.

"We're going to have to watch these again when Sam isn't here, aren't we?" you asked Steve after the last piece of popcorn bounced off your nose. Steve shrugged and pulled you to him. "If you two are gonna get all mushy in here, I'm leaving," Sam said, making you both chuckle. "I think someone's jealous," Steve pretended to whisper. Sam shook his head. You started the second movie over again and the three of you actually sat still for once.

Sam left after that and Steve began falling asleep on the couch. It was a rare day off for him, so you let him sleep. You got up, careful not to move your super soldier too much. You began your walk to the kitchen but Steve stuck out his long legs to stop you. He bent his knees, pushing you back toward him. You felt his hand wrap around you arm as he pulled you back down onto the couch with him. "Stay," he mumbled into the cushions.

Youlaughed softly and snuggled into his broad chest as best you could. You weregrateful your couch was big enough to fit the both of you comfortably. Stevesighed in content, his arms tightening around you. This was the side of Steveyou wished to see more often. The peaceful look on his face always made yousmile. "I am not moving for the rest of the day," Steve said intoyour hair. You glanced up at him. "Perhaps we should do this after everyrun," you said. He smiled at you and pressed a kiss to your lips."Sounds like a plan to me."w
