Let them fear you

The trio walks back towards the bridge after having Gideon inform them that she had located Svage in 1944.

The two girls walked hand-in-hand, with their Captain walking infront of them.

"What's the plan?" Ray asks once the team merges together.

"Simple, we locate Savage and where ever he may be Kendra and Carter will not be far behind." Rip states as he walks towards the console.

"That simple?" Erin asks, to which Rip nods his head.

Erin lets out a series of mumbles which Sara is barley able to hear. Something along the lines of "Hell no." and "This is gonna go to shit."

*TIME SKIP BROUGHT YOU BY MY THREE MONTH LONG WRITERS BLOCK*

"So, this is a spaceship?" Carter asks as he looks around.

The team had just gotten back from their mission, succeeding in rescuing Carter but failing to rescue Kendra.

Erin couldn't help but feel guilty knowing that Kendra was only feet away from her at one point and was reeling through her mind thinking of what she could have done differently.

"It's a time ship." Rip brings her out of her thoughts. "But yes it does also travel through space."

Stein steps in to speak this time, "You've seen it before, Mr. Hall."

Erin glances to her left where jax is sitting, before she looks back to Carter who seems a bit confused.

"That use to be my name. Carter Hall." It seems there's a bit of recognition in his voice but Erin isn't able to tell.

"There's a lot to fill you in on." Erin adds.

Rip glances over at her before his eyes train back on Carter.

"Unfortunately, we do not have the time." Before Rip can say anything else Carter speaks up for a split second.

"What about-" Again, Rip is quick to cut him off and Erin finds a small headache building at the back and forth of these two.

"Kendra, yes," Rip says, "we need your assistance in locating her and Savage. Perhaps we can start with what Savage was doing in 1944."

Carter makes his way towards the group causing Erin to involuntarily tense. She still wasn't use to him being on their side after the last time she saw him.

"He said something about Thanagarian technology."

Erin repeats the word to herself before standing. "I'm gonna go do some research on that and see what I can find."

Before anyone can argue Erin is already walking away.

Erin takes multiple turns throughout the hall, almost losing her way but eventually bumping into Sara.

They smile at each other. "Hey there stranger." Sara smiles.

Erin replies with a simple "Hey." before Sara turns her around and they begin walking down the hall.

Sara's arm snakes around Erin's waist before she speaks. "I never got to ask you, how's Carly doing?"

Erin smiles at the thought of her sister. "She got a dog."

Sara just laughs as the two continue to walk, "So I've heard. She told me last time she was on board."

"She named him Wayland." Erin smiles more as she remembers him pattering towards her looking like the happiest puppy on earth."

Suddenly Erin's smile drops as she recounts the next few hours of her time at Carly's and Sara seems to notice this sudden change.

"What's wrong?" Sara frowns.

Erin snakes her arm around Sara's waist as well, pulling the blonde closer and resting her head onto her shoulder.

"Mom's gone." Erin's voice is barley above a whisper but Sara somehow manages to hear her.

"I'm so sorry." Sara places a kiss to the top of her head before asking "How'd she go?"

To this, Erin only shrugs. "Carly said something about a robbery, she didn't say much about it though."

Sara nods and only asks one more question, "Are you okay?"

"I mean, she was a crap mom sometimes but I still loved her. But yeah, I'm okay."

Sara nods her head and then pulls away. "You wanna go do some therapeutic killing?"

Erin chuckles before she intertwines their hands and leads them back towards Rip's office. "As longs it's an immortal bitch then I'm so down."

"Alright so let me get this straight..."

"For the third time, yes we can kill Savage this will work."

Erin smiles sheepishly at Sara and shrugs her shoulders slightly. She had heard of the plan and immediately grew unsure of it. Although she was starting to warm up to it now.

The team had split up into small groups. A select few had gone to St. Roch in 2021 where they believed Kendra to be. Another few of them headed over to Harmony Falls in 1958 while Erin went with Sara and Firestorm back to Norway, 1975.

Erin's group watches as a past version of Firestorm flies overhead with a nuclear bomb.

Erin finds herself smiling at the memory and silently reminiscing.

Everything had been so different back then; they had all been oblivious to so many things.

They believed Savage was going to be easy to kill, that it would be a short mission and they would be on their way home within no time. Back then they still had Kendra and a memory-intact Carter, Erin had her mom and Sara had her sister. The team still had Snart. They all barley knew each other and Erin was still getting use to having Sara back and vice versa.

Now here they are, months later and short a member, having gone through loses and pain and hell to get to where they were now.

And despite all that pain and suffering Erin wouldn't change it for the world because now here they were, running towards Savage in a battle to save the world and time itself. And Erin had a pretty good feeling that luck was on their side this time around.

Firestorm blazes together in the corner of her eye as Sara walks alongside her.

Savage glares back at the pair as Sara remarks "Glad we're past the point of worrying about the time line."

"Hell yeah." Erin smirks.

Sara twists her staff in her hands and begins to run towards Savage. She's soon joined by a four legged panther, who stares up at her with dark burgundy eyes, a twinge of a fire burning behind them.

Savage grabs a rocket launcher, aiming at the pair and firing. Luckily Firestorm swoops in and redirects the missile allowing the two girls to keep advancing.

Savage throws knives to which Sara blocks. This gives Erin the chance to jump towards Savage and claw at him.

He seems to dodge it just in time as she only manages to catch his shoulder.

"You're too late." He says to the girls, brandishing two knives.

Sara smirks, "A Time Master's never late."

Erin growls in response and lunges at Savage again, catching him off balance and giving Sara a chance to attack.

Erin watches as Sara dodges attacks and delivers some of her own.

Sara goes to strike him with her staff but he is quick to block it and hold her at a standstill.

Erin see's this as her time to step in so she runs towards Savage and latches onto his leg with her teeth. He screams in pain as Erin pulls at his leg hard, causing him to fall. She jumps on top of him before he has time to recover and sinks her claws deep into his shoulders.

Savage's hand comes up and he brings the handle of the knife hard to Erin's head. She rolls off of the psychopath and watches as Sara wraps her staff around Savages neck and brings him into a choke hold.

Sara brings his body up, snapping his neck on the way down. She spins her staff and drops it to her side before looking towards Erin, who continues to growl at Savages dead body.

"Hey." Erins dark red eyes snap up to Sara.

Erin immedaiatly remembers where she is and who she's with, her animal instinct slowly fading away as she nuzzles up to Sara's side.

"It's over now." Sara says as she runs a hand along the panthers head.

Firetorms comes and lands at their side which draws their attention to the meteor.

It begins to shake, blue light emitting blindly from the cracks.

Jax begins to talk and the couple must guess that he's having a conversation with his other half.

Jax's hands latch onto the meteor.

It only seems to shake and grow as a threat.

Suddenly the meteor is disappearing into a pool of water that washes away towards both girls.

Erin patters her paws up and down as they come into contact with that water.

"Awe man you got my boots wet." Sara complains while Erin shakes her paws free of water.

************

The team joins back up with Rip, Carter, and a now safe Kendra.

Mick begins to complain about wanting to kill Savage again while Erin, now back in her human form, gives Kendra a hug. "It's good to have you back."

"Guys we have a problem." Sara draws all their attention to the last meteorite. It looks the same as the one Erin, Sara, and Firestorm had been dealing with, except more aggressive.

Firestorm comes down saying "I'm on it." as he puts his hands on the meteor.

Erin waits anxiously, hoping their method can work again, but it seems their luck has finally run out as nothing appears to be happening.

Ray pushes part of the crate aside while he exclaims "I got this."

He holds his arm up, shooting a beam at the meteor which in turn does nothing to stop it.

"We're screwed." Erin mumbles as she makes her way to stand next to Sara who asks "What happens if only one of these goes off."

"Uh time will remain in tact, the world, not so much." Rip informs.

"Oh we're so screwed." Erin says a little louder this time.

The group begins to panic for ways to stop it.

Jax suggests flying it into space, which is immediately shot down by Rip.

Ray seems to be the one with the bright idea though, "Maybe the Waverider can." He suggests.

He begins to say something else but Erin is distracted by a slgiht humming noise coming towards them. She looks up to the sky when Rip's name is mentioned and spots the Waverider hovering above them.

It releases a tractor beam and picks up the meteor.

Erin goes onto the coms system. "Rip, what the hell do you think you're doing?"

"Uh," Rips voice crackles through their ears. "I'm flying the Waverider into the sun with the meteor on board."

"And you on it!" Sara complains.

They watch the Waverider leave their sight and panic bubbles in Erin's chest. She can't afford to lose another teammate.

There's a pause before Rip speaks again, "Then I guess this is goodbye."

The mood drops instantly. Erin looks to Sara sadly as she listens to Ray say "It's been a pleasure Captain."

Erin only nods her head.

"Likewise Dr. Palmer."

"You were the one that brought us all into this mess." Jax says.

The coms cackle with static momentarily before Rip replies "Which is why I am doing this alone Mr. Jackson. No one else will die for my choice."

"It's been one hell of a ride Rip." Erin speaks up.

Before Rip answers Sara is speaking up "This isn't going to bring Snart back."

"I don't wan to lose another friend." Mick adds in.

There's another moment of silence and for a second, Erin thinks that he's already gone into the sun, that he's already died, but her suspicions are shut down when Rip speaks again. "I appreciate that Mr. Rory, I must say, it's been an honour to serve as your Captain." The static in the coms seem to rise before everything falls silent.

It's then and there that Erin knows their Captain is gone for good.

A/N Hey everyone! So i'm finally back after a super long break. I apologize a thousand times over because i had major writers block for this chapter and i finally just said 'screw it' and i skipped the scene.

Anyways i really hope it was worth it and that you enjoyed this chapter!

I'm so sad! There's only 3 chapters left before this book is done! But don't worry i'm putting a book out for season 2 and i have lots and lots of plans!
