“Mercedes is sending care package for you to Alfa Romeo and almost everyone at Red Bull are glaring at me thinking I will screw up and let Lewis win,” Daniella complained to Valtteri Bottas as they are only an hour away form qualifying session.

Valtteri let out a laugh as he fixed his cap. “They want you to lose so they can put the entire blame on you…and if you win they will give all the credit to the car and their strategies.”

“Look at you, so wise,” Daniella sarcastically replied.

“Learned from experience, and also I am older than you so…” he chuckled. “Mercedes will be good for you Dani, they have plans for you to replace Lewis once he retires and Lewis is also excited to have you as his teammate.”

“Yeah I know,” Daniella smiles. “He never shuts up about it. But he also never fails to mention how much he will miss you as his teammate.”

Valtteri chuckles and turn to look at Lewis who was busy talking to the media. It took them years to properly warm up to each other and now both are somewhat

“Let’s not get emotional now,” he turned back. “And by the way, there is a perfect coffee machine and finest coffee waiting for you in Mercedes…so please don’t steal my coffee next year.”

“Wait, did you just gift me a coffee machine?” Daniella looked excited like a little child in Christmas morning.

“Yes but don’t tell Lewis,” Valtteri repliee as he tried to calm Daniella. “I didn’t get him anything.”

“Aww!” she hugged him. “Now I wish you were my teammate next year.”

“I am sure Alfa Romeo will be delighted to have you but you won’t win any championship with them.”

Daniella can hear the entire garage cheering as she crossed the chequered flag and the qualifying session came to an end.

“That’s pole position for you Dani,” Nate happily informed her.

“Yes! Yes guys!,” Daniella cheered. She just secured the final pole position of the season and is one step closer to win the final race and the championship.

“Mega job Dani,” Christian cheered, genuinely happy that there is a good chance that Red Bull will once again win a championship. “That was a spectacular lap.”

“Thanks Christian. Let’s finish it strong tomorrow.”

Lewis qualified second so it will be a tight race as the both championship contenders are starting from the front row. But the surprise was Lando qualifying third.

Daniella and Lewis shared a quick fist bump before her running towards Lando and hugging him.

“Surprise,” he let out a laugh.

“It’s a nice surprise,” she smiled brightly.

They let go of each other and Lando hold her hand before dragging her towards his parents. The family hugged and congratulated the two drivers and shared a few words. Daniella’s family couldn’t be there for the last race but she is glad and happy that Lando’s family is there who are equally happy for her.

Let’s aim for a full Brit podium yeah?” Lewis said to the younger drivers before heading to give his interview.

“It would be really nice to share the last podium of the season,” Lando smiled at Daniella as he took off her Red Bull cap and replaced it with his signed McLaren cap that that was given to him as a joke.

“Yeah it will be really nice,” Daniella agreed.

She can feel the pressure and nervousness increasing by every minute as the race day approached. It is not going to be easy tomorrow but she knows she will give a good fight till the end and will try to finish the race ahead of Lewis.

Either way, the winner will go down in history and new record will be set.

A/N: Only a few hours and we will find out if Lewis will become eight time WDC or Max will win his first championship.

Let's pray for a fair and safe race.

And a part of me is hoping that Lando win the race.

I am going to miss Merc Valtteri, hope he has a good time with Alfa Romeo.

And why Oscar Piastri doesn't have a seat for next year? 😭😭 he really deserve it.
