WITHERING ROSE | Purple Primrose II

"There is no gathering the rose without being pricked by the thorns."
The 'Purple Primrose Series' is a touch on love, friendship and the crudity of reality.

"Master!" Seven called out as she hovered around a beautiful blonde-haired woman who smiled at her.

"Seven, how many times have I told you to call me -̵̡̢̗͐̔̀̿̂̃͂̓̄̓̅̀͝-̸̢̨͔͔̭̺̖̞͚͒͛̅̋̃̎̕͘͠-̷̨͈̱̗̱̟̠̝̉̔̅̓͐͝ͅͅ-̷̛͇͇̟͉͆͌̈̔͋̅̄̈̍͊̎̇̃-̴̡̱̟̜̦̈́̈́̎̏͝ͅ-̵͙͓̤̙͕͓͍̙̠̈́̓̽̋̂̑͐́̑̂͋̎͝ͅ?" The woman cheerfully patted her head.

"You should know, Seven, that it's okay to open up..." She smiled making the said-kwami nod. The Kwami giggled at her master as she sat on her shoulder.

"How did you find this place, -̵̼̠̗̫̙̤̑-̸̛̼̔͆̌͒̿͒̿̂̌͑̀͗͆͆̚͘-̵̡̭̲͔͔̞̞̯̰̖͇̓̀̾̓̽͑͋̍-̵̡̡̨̼̻͎͉͔͖͉̬̯̩̋͋͒̄͐͊-̷̡͙̙͚̜͇͔͍͚̈́̓̐̏̋̊͂̈́̂̓̈́̈́͘̚͝ͅ-̷̤̖͕̪͙̫̣͙̦̫͍̆͜?" Seven looked at her with a curious glint. The woman shook her head, "I didn't find this place, Seven. Something led me to it..." She said in a wise tone.

This made Seven realise. How could she forget? The Creator always said that the Primrose Miraculous was special.

"When do you think I'll get some friends like me...?" The kwami looked at -̶̢̨̼͕̼͙̟͉̣̯̦̟͍̖̈́͊̏ͅ-̷̗͈̗̤̗̠͚͍̟̾-̸̡̫̻̦͓͙̬́͋̅̈́̓̋̽̿-̷̳̳̰̣̺͔̙̼͓̜̥̦̏̔͒̇̊̒̀̾̽̃̕-̶̡̢͓͎̻̜̟̹͈͉̫̗͒͊͒̑̾̑̒̂͘̚̚͜-̸͚͇͇͉͎̺̏̀̌̂̀̌͂̀̓͊͊̎̕͜͝ͅͅ , causing the woman to purse her lips.

"You'll do soon, Seven...The Creator will find some for you, wouldn't they?"

This caused Seven to sigh. She just wanted some friends.

"You see that cherry tree, Seven?" -̵̡̢̗͐̔̀̿̂̃͂̓̄̓̅̀͝-̸̢̨͔͔̭̺̖̞͚͒͛̅̋̃̎̕͘͠-̷̨͈̱̗̱̟̠̝̉̔̅̓͐͝ͅͅ-̷̛͇͇̟͉͆͌̈̔͋̅̄̈̍͊̎̇̃-̴̡̱̟̜̦̈́̈́̎̏͝ͅ-̵͙͓̤̙͕͓͍̙̠̈́̓̽̋̂̑͐́̑̂͋̎͝ͅ called out to the sleepy kwami who just looked out of the window to see a fine blossomed cherry tree.

"It's beautiful..." The kwami awed.

Her master, looking at the tree, sighed, "That's right. Its flowers are beautiful but it doesn't really last that long. When spring comes, it blooms lively and leaves a smile on every passerby who gazes at it. Soon, autumn comes followed by winter, the cherry tree loses its flowers and is replaced with dry branches which no one dares to look at the tree." -̵̼̠̗̫̙̤̑-̸̛̼̔͆̌͒̿͒̿̂̌͑̀͗͆͆̚͘-̵̡̭̲͔͔̞̞̯̰̖͇̓̀̾̓̽͑͋̍-̵̡̡̨̼̻͎͉͔͖͉̬̯̩̋͋͒̄͐͊-̷̡͙̙͚̜͇͔͍͚̈́̓̐̏̋̊͂̈́̂̓̈́̈́͘̚͝ͅ-̷̤̖͕̪͙̫̣͙̦̫͍̆͜ looks at the tree now with grim.

"This can be said the same for life because life has all its joys and pleasure...but our sorrows and misfortunes are inevitable..." The woman smiled at the kwami. "That does not mean that you give up nor leave your griefs for someone else to take care of, you persevere and become stronger in the process and let no one tell you otherwise..."

Seven looked at her master in admiration.

"Promise me that with the coming of future miraculous holders, you won't only serve them but nurture them throughout their soul with lessons of joy and sorrow. Tell them to think about others and never do anything for their selfish will..."

"Because this world is cruel and not everyone has the bigger piece of the beauty it has to offer..."

"Seven..." A frail voice called out, searching for relief. She already lost too much blood. There was nothing left to do.

"Yes, -̸̢̮̖̗̮͍̻͓̹̯͍̣̪͌͊̈͆̒̔͐͛̔͐͌͊̇̈̔͜͝͝-̵̧̙͓̯̼͔̩̻̼̏͂́͊͑̊̏̓̈́͂̔͆͒͠-̴̯͋-̸̜̞̬̮̟͕͎̯̱͚̘͙̪̱̤̩͛͑̽̔͝-̵̢̡̦͖͍͇͖͕͔̮̻͕͕͂̈́̿̍̓̿̂͜ͅ-̷̡͖̼͖̺͔͚̖̤̙̱̮̫͋͊̉̄̈́͠....?" The little kwami rested on her shoulder, eyes tearing from the sight of her once strong-willed Master's life fading.

"Please don't forget me..." The tears in her eyes couldn't stop flowing.

"I won't...."

(Y/N) (L/N)'s P.O.V.

I open my eyes, gasping for air as I feel a strong gust of panic through my chest.

I sit up, looking around frantically, before realising it was a dream.

"(Y/N)?" A familiar voice calls out to me, my ears ringing at the sound.

"Seven..." I look at the miniature creature, my Kwami, the one I just saw in my dream.

It had been already a few months since I first found the Primrose Miraculous. Not really a great memory but it's kind of the reason for the drastic change in my life.

"Did you have a nightmare?" The kwami asks making me nod slowly.

"I guess you can call it that..." I mutter and hug my legs close to my chest, "There was so much blood..."

And pain...

"It's going to be alright..." Seven hovers over to me and sits on my stomach, making me sigh.

"I think I just saw a memory..." I say to her, making her look up at me. She then gives me a soft, assuring smile, "Don't think about it so much. Just go back to sleep..." She hushes me making me nod.

I tuck my blanket over me and place Seven beside me.

Feeling safe again, my breathing slows down and my eyes begin to droop.

But all the while, I can't seem to stop thinking...

Who was that woman...?
