(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

"Wakey, wakey, sleepyhead." The voice of a kiddish purple Kwami pulls me out of my precious sleep. Nothing out of the usual, except I didn't want to wake up this morning. I groan and sink deeper into my fluffy pillow, dreading for the day tocome. Today is Career Day, another tiring day for children to bring one of their parents to school. Well, for me...Mom's not coming and my dad...he's better off serving his mistress.

I check my phone first thing to see a message from my mom.

A few minutes ago...

I let out a deep sigh, lingering for a second as I knew what was coming.

"Hey, sweetie. I'm really sorry that I'm not going to come to your school for Career Day..." She pauses, "If your dad were here, I would've come, you know..." I wince at the fact that she mentioned Dad who I didn't need to think about.

You had to play that card.

"Well, don't bum out, okay? After I come home, I'll make it up to you!" The message ends with her sweet-self, though all I want right now to sleep in and call Marinette.

"Good morning, (Y/N)..." Seven senses my distress as usual and pats my head.

"Good morning, Seven..." I mutter back as I place a light kiss on her forehead. I head to the bathroom for my usual morning routine before dressing up for school. Seven hides in my pocket before I head out for school.

Rather than freaking out, as would be my response to getting late, I didn't mind that I was. The halls were eerily quiet besides the few claps and shouts sounding in the classes as the Career Day presentations began. Something I won't be involving in after all...

While I sneak past the principal's office unnoticed, I see Adrien up ahead on the phone outside the class.

"What do you mean he's not coming?!" He says making my eyebrows furrow, "But he's supposed to be here now! They're already starting..."

Yikes.

"....oh...okay then, thanks, Nathalie..."

"Everything okay?" I step in and ask with a smile as soon as he hangs up. He flinches and seems taken aback, "O-Oh, (Y/N)..." I notice a sad glint in his eyes.

"Your parent's not coming...?"

He nods with an obviously forced smile.

"That makes the two of us..." I say and smile widely gesturing him to come inside as he follows me inside. I hated seeing him in a sad mood, so, why not cheer him up?

As we enter Marinette stands in the front of the class with her father, Tom Dupain, and a tray of croissants. A sight that makes me grin at the adorable girl. The baker talks about how his day starts in his career at the patisserie.

I send Adrien a comical wink before going to my seat just as Marinette starts giving out the croissants.

"I wonder how many croissants your dad will have to make to get one of these~" Chloe chippers as she shows off he obviously very expensive bracelet, "What am I saying?! He'd have to sell the whole store!"

Her remark accompanied by her wicked laugh makes me grimace as she smirks at the blunette.

"Hmm...I wonder how much money your father would have to spend to get you an IQ." I say in an identical mocking tone to hers. "Oh! What am I saying?! He'd have to become poor since you're dumber than a rock!"

Marinette chokes on her laughter as the blonde priss growls at my point that I pat myself for.

"Good one," Marinette says and hands me a croissant. I let out a satisfied hum at the heavenly scent of the freshly baked good and fist-bump her. "Anytime~," I say before biting down into it.

Then next is Alya's mom who works at Le Grand Paris as a head chef, I smile as Alya shoots me a playful gaze.

Marinette, who's still handing out croissants, trips over and falls which makes all of us turn to her seeing that it was a rather huge fall.

"Jeez, is there a day when you're not tripping over something?" Chloe mocks at her making me scowl. At this point, I could feel my nerves throbbing in my brain as Chloe continues to pester Marinette like a kazoo.

"Chloe, would you be kind enough to sit down and stop bickering for once? Jeez, I can already feel my ears going deaf..." I say the last part to annoy her which makes the whole class laugh as goes speechless for a second. She glares at me and mutters something under her breath before sitting down, "Thank you."

"Next is Sabrina's father, who is a policeman, Officer Roger." Ms Bustier says as the man in uniform comes up to the front of the class. Officer Roger start talking about how his day starts and how he thinks everyone is innocent unless proven guilty. Midway into his story of how he stopped a robber just this week, he gets interrupted by Chloe freaking out.

"My bracelet! It's gone!" She says before looking at me and Marinette. She points a close finger at us and screams, "You both did this! You purposely tripped over and you stole it without me knowing!"

"That's not true!" I retaliate, seeing this commotion as only a ploy to get to us, "Why the heck would we even want to steal your so-called expensive bracelet?!"

"My daughter and her friend are not thieves!" Marinette's father says making me nod, "Exactly! Who even gave you the right to accuse us?!" I say which makes Chloe look at Officer Roger, "You're a policeman! Arrest them!" She says and my eyes widen.

"Hold on, Miss Bourgeois, as she said, we don't accuse without proof. Calm down, this must be all just a misunderstanding."

"Are you calling me a liar?! Daddy!" She says which makes Mayor André, who I didn't know was present in the room until now, look at the police officer.

"Roger! I demand you search these girls!" The mayor says with a stern gaze over the cop. I glare at Chloe angrily who lets out a 'Hah' as a sign of victory.

"Need I remind you that I'm the mayor of this city which makes me superior!" He says which takes Officer Roger aback, "But, sir! It's against the law!" The policeman defends his position. "Alright! Then you're no longer a police officer!" He says making all of us gasp.

"Mayor! You can't be serious! Over a missing bracelet!?" Officer Roger says awestruck by the bias shown of the Mayor. I begin to feel sympathy for him as it would probably have not been a problem if I just kept my mouth shut.

"This is my daughter's bracelet we're talking about! You're incompetent and you're fired! Get out!" The mayor proclaims.

Officer Roger looks down and walks out of the room.

"Good!" Chloe snickers, "Let's call Primvère and Ladybug! I'm sure they'll actually do something!" Chloe states making Marinette and I glance at each other with a frown.

I watch from the window as Officer Roger walks away with his head hanging low.

"Way to go, Chloe!" I snarl at her which makes her gasp, "Don't you dare put this on me, you fiend!" She says making me lean in close with her while Marinette's father and the mayor argued. I feel anger boiling within me.

As I am about to rampage on Chloe, I feel a painful sensation on my chest that brings me back to my senses.

Marinette looks at me with wide eyes, getting the idea and takes my hand before looking at Ms Bustier. "Um, Miss...? Can we go to the bathroom for once?" She asks, which make me nod rapidly.

"No one is allowed to go out of this room until we find the real culprit!" Mayor André says which makes us frown.

"H-Hey! Nino was filming the whole time! Maybe he caught who stole it!" I say which makes all of us look at Nino.

As we see the tape, we notice that Sabrina, Nathaniel and we were the main culprits. We argue unreasonably before the door bursts open and the Akumatized villain enters--a tall robot cop. My eyes widen as they do so.

"Where's the mayor?" He asks in a robotic-like voice and startles us. This gives Marinette and I time to sneakily rush out of the classroom.

We hide in a hidden part of the school before transforming and heading for Rogercop.

He heads to the principal's office where the mayor is. As he is about to shoot the mayor with his laser-handcuffs, I use my whip to grab his hand. He turns to look at us which buys the mayor enough time to get out of the building.

Rogercop starts shooting at us with the handcuffs which makes us quickly dodge and hide. He sees Mayor André at the exit and follows him. Ladybug tries to stop him from walking, but she only falls flat on her face.

"Stop in the name of the law!" Rogercop says and tries firing at him but Cat Noir appears and jumps on his arm, making him fire what appears to be a microchip at the mayor's limousine instead. The mayor then enters the car and flees.

"You're obstructing justice, Cat Noir! You'll pay for this!" Rogercop says and aims at Cat which makes me use my whip to block him from doing so. "Look! You're Sabrina's dad and a great cop! Don't let the evil person who gave you these powers make an evil cop out of you!" I say as a highlighted moth-like mask appear on his face.

"Justice must prevail!"

He grabs our ankles and throws us high into the air. We land inside the school and when we stand and walk out, we see Chloe enter Rogercop's car as they drive away, "Chloe! NO!" I say and jump on the car with Ladybug and Cat.

"What is this girl thinking now?!"

The car then starts flying, catching us off guard. We hold on to the car as it starts spinning and stopping giving us the impression that Rogercop's trying to shake us off.

But as persistent as we are, he walks out of the car. "Thanks for the lift!" Cat Noir says and uses his baton to hit him. We have a massive fight-off when suddenly he jumps on the car which makes the car spin and we run on top of the car each time it does. It's effectless to Rogercop as he's stuck on the car with his magnetic shoes.

He lifts his arms which hits my head and knocking me off balance, "Primvère!" Cat Noir and Ladybug yell for me making me pull out my whip, "Grab onto me!" I say and flick my whip towards them but they fail to catch it making me fall mid-air.

As I fall, I extend my whip to grab onto a building and land safely on the ground, looking up to see Ladybug and Cat Noir falling after me. Ladybug manages to land safe but Cat fumbles with his baton making me manage my whip to secure him from falling, just in time as he hangs upside-down from a pole and looks at me.

A cheeky grin forms on his lips as he tilts his head, "Well, hey, I'm head over heels to see you, m'lady~," He says and tries kissing me catching me off guard and I feel heat flush in my cheeks yet I let go of my whip making him fall.

"You're welcome.." I say turning away from him as Ladybug stand beside me, "You owe her, you know?"

"Sure thing but I'll take credit for that." He says and points to Rogercop's car which has fumes coming out of it.

We run after the car but then stop at the beam of the Eiffel Tower. "There's no point in running after him anyway...He's way out of our reach..." Ladybug says making me look at the car.

"If it's the mayor he's after..." Cat Noir points out making me gasp, "Then he'll definitely head for City Hall!"

Ladybug and I look at each other, "Is this a plan I'm sensing...?" He asks making us smirk.

As we reach City Hall the screen in front of it switches on and the mayor is seen.

"Paris' has a new superpower, his name is Rogercop...I hereby relinquish all the authorities to Rogercop. All citizens are to answer to him...."

Rogercop then looks at the screen.

"Primvère Rosé, Ladybug and Cat Noir are now outlaws. They need to be hunted down and taken to custody immediately."

What the...?

I notice we're in an area filled with police officers. They hold their stance defensive to us and point their guns at us

"This is going to be fun..."

"And illegal." Ladybug states which leads me to smirk. We begin to fight and dodge the police officers before proceeding to the roof of the City Hall.

As the sun sets and the city is filled with helicopters and police cars searching for us.

"So, now we're the nation's most-wanted felons...?" Cat mutters in annoyance.

"We haven't done anything!" Ladybug and I say in agreement.

"Exactly! You can't accuse someone without proof!" He says and stands up, "We should defend ourselves in the court of law!"

"Calm down, kitty...not when Rogercop's the Court of Justice..." I mutter and pull him down to make him sit down again. He sighs grudgingly, "How many times have we saved Paris?"

"We're still saving Paris!" Ladybugs says making me nod, "Here's what we'll do...Cat, you distract the guards while Ladybug and I sneak up on Rogercop. You can come to help us once you're done..." I say which makes him nod, "Gotcha!" He says and carries out the plan.

As told, Ladybug and I sneak up to Rogercop as he's busy taking care of the Cat situation.

I signal Chloe and the mayor to keep shut. But being the girl she is, Chloe whispers, "Go! Primvère Rosé! Go!"

I smack my head in annoyance which makes us come out of our hiding spot as Rogercop notices us. He starts shooting at us as we dodge his actions.

As he stops, Ladybug activates her Lucky Charm and an oven mitten lands on her hands, "What am I supposed to do with this...?" She asks, making me look at Rogercop who gets ready to reshoot us. "Roses Divine!" I activate my power and shoot rise petals towards him as Cat Noir enters the room.

Rogercop blows his police whistle and commands the Mayor and Chloe to attack us which makes us dodge them to send them flying out of the room.

"So he can command anyone with his whistle?"

"The Akuma must be in it..." I say which makes Cat look at me, "How so?" He asks as we dodge from Rogercop's lasers.

We then manage to hide from Rogercop behind a small wall, "Whenever you're ready, m'lady..." Cat says to Ladybug which makes her and I look through the room in divine mode.

I get the idea of the mittens which makes us get out of the hiding spot to a different one.

"We still need something like..." She says which makes me hand her the belt, "A ring?" I ask her which makes her nod, "Exactly." She says as she grabs another pair of mittens on the table.

"Where am I going to get a ring from?!" She yells frustrated and at the same time I see a ring rolling towards a pot and it looks like Chloe's ring.

"Uh...Ladybug..." I nudge her shoulder, "Isn't that Chloe's bracelet?" I say which makes her eyes widen as well.

"That's exactly what we need." She says and then smirks before using the bracelet. "Fend off Rogercop as long as possible!" She says making Cat and I nod.

Cat Noir gets out of cover and uses Cataclysm on the floor as a diversion: with that, he manages to sink Rogercop's waist-deep in the floor, even though he gets hit by his handcuffing rays in the process which tie him to a bookshelf. I signal Ladybug who smirks and then uses this to jump on top of the villain and put her makeshift handcuffs on him, which stops him from firing his lasers. This makes it easy for Ladybug to get his whistle necklace, who then smashes it on the ground with her shoe. The Akuma flies off the whistle, and Ladybug de-evilises it and frees the butterfly.

"Miraculous Ladybug/Primrose!" We both chant before everything goes back to normal.

"Pound it!" I smile as Ladybug, Cat and I fistbump each other before Cat's miraculous beeps.

"I'd stick around but you'd see me without my mask and you wouldn't be able to resist me...~," Chat says which makes me roll my eyes, "Yeah, right~ That's never gonna happen~," I say and shoo him off before looking at Roger.

"No more injustice in the world and here's a token from a rose~," I chant and smile as a Lieutenant's badge appears on Roger's chest, "Ah...thanks, Primvère. But I'm off the job..." He says but I wink at him.

"Luck will come your way, you'll see~," I say which makes his eyes widen.

From behind him, I see Ladybug place the bracelet inside Chloe's bag. Just then, the mayor and Chloe enter the room.

"I guess this belongs to you, Miss Bourgeois" Roger lays the bag to Chloe which makes her gasp, "My bag!" She says and searches within it making Ladybug and I glance at each other.

"M-My bracelet!" She seems shocked which makes me smile. The mayor gasps, "Roger! You found Chloe's bracelet!" He says making me smile.

"It seems that the bracelet was in Chloe's bag all along! Must've slipped into her side pocket when that girl tripped over..." Roger says making Ladybug and I giggle.

"Well, Roger, I apologize for being unreasonable and firing you..." Mayor says making me look at Roger.

"I think Officer Roger has proven his excellence to you, Mr Mayor..." I say which makes Ladybug nod, "You'd be wrong not to keep him on." Ladybug says which makes the mayor nod.

"Truly! And actually, it's Lieutenant Roger, now..." He says making me chuckle as Roger looks at his token and then to me, "Thank you, Primvère!" He says happily which makes me nod, "Anytime, Lieutenant Roger~," I say before my miraculous and Ladybug's miraculous beep at the same time.

"Thank you, Mr Mayor! I'm proud to be on the force and I'll be proud to hold my firm belief that everyone is innocent unless proven guilty!" He says and salutes him which makes Ladybug and I back away from them."Right! A valuable lesson learned!" The mayor states before looking at Chloe, "Right, Chloe?" He says annoyed which makes us smirk, "Yes, Daddy..." She says making me look at Ladybug.

"Lesson learnt," I say before we swing away from City Hall.

I quickly transform as I step on my porch. I gulp as I realise how late it is. Mom's gonna be mad.

Oh well...

I slowly open the door and close it behind me. I try to rush up the stairs quietly but a voice stops me.

"(Y/N). In the kitchen. Now." I hear my mother's voice and flinch at it before grudgingly making my way to the kitchen. I wince. Be damned creaky floorboards.

"Mom...I can explain...there was a..." Before I can say anything further, she wraps her arms around me and embraces me. "I'm so sorry, sweetie..." I hear her mutter making my eyebrows furrow, "Mom...?" I'm too confused by her behaviour.

"I'm sorry I couldn't come with you for Career Day. I know how much it meant to you after all the things we were through..." She finally mutters making me smile. I sigh, "It's okay, Mom.." I say before smiling warmly at her.

She shakes her head. "Well..."

"I didn't know what to bake for you so, I headed down to your friend Marinette's bakery and got you..." She rummaged through the fridge, "Homemade Vanilla Croissants!" She tosses it to me making my eyes widen.

"Just as an apology...I just felt really bad for leaving you stood up." She says and watches my expression.

I look at her with amazement. I rush to her and give her a huge embrace, "Thank you, thank you!" I smile as I take in the scent of the croissants.

She kisses my forehead which makes me sigh in her arms.

I love my mom...

So, one day, I was like, "Hmm...Moms don't get appreciated much these days..." AND BAM! This chapter emerged!

Seriously, I love my mom so much, and I'm sure you love yours as much as I do, too! or me, I love my mom's strong-willed self, how she can handle any tough situation and not fuss about it or ask for help.
