Trust Fall: Gorizilla

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

Radiant.

Carefree.

Dreamy.

"Adrien..." I whisper as the commercial ends, smiling at the sight of Adrien in the commercial. He launched a new fragrance plug recently and god, he was to die for.

"I can't believe I stayed up all night to watch that James Bond movie~" I mutter dreamily at my computer screen. It's just a casual Saturday morning and me in my natural habitat stretching my arms as I roll around in my seat.

Seven scoffs and sends me a judgy look. "You mean Adrien's perfume ad! I was getting worried about you for watching that thing a bazillion times!" She exclaims teasingly to which I didn't want to admit but she was right, I did watch it a little too many times.

My thoughts drift to the boy in question. This guy literally went from being the son of the famous fashion designer to the handsome model that everyone wants, not that he wasn't one before. He surely grew more famous overnight after the commercial and I'm glad he did.

"Do you think he gets tired of fame? Probably not. He must be having the time of his life with that handsome face of his." I sigh deeply as I drop down on my bed.

"He seems to be enjoying it. Look at the number of views this ad's getting!" Seven points out. It takes me a while to figure out how I feel over the fact. "There must be a lot of people out there who like him as much as I do..." I say dejectedly as I lay my head down on my arm. Seven slides on my hair and laughs sweetly.

"Nope." She pops and I look at her confused, "You think so?"

"There is no one in Paris who thinks about or protects Adrien as you do..." She says and pokes my forehead playfully as I flusteredly shake my head, trying to check my phone for any recent texts.

"The girls are planning to go swimming today...think I should join them?" I ask.

"Yeah! You're probably sick of staying home all day!" The Kwami says and I chuckle, "Sure thing."

I walk over to my closet and scan through my clothes. I already have a swimsuit but still, I hum dissatisfied.

"Maybe I should change it up a bit?" I ask as I pull out a summer dress I've been wanting to wear for a while--a floral pattern with its length reaching just below my knees. With enough deliberation, I decided to wear it and then look in front of the mirror. I grab my bag, wearing plain palm shoes comfortable and matching with my dress.

After taking my sweet time figuring out whether I should wear this or not, I decide to go with it.

It wouldn't hurt for a day...

"Let's go~!" I cheer, slipping a jacket on and then skipping out of my room towards the front door. I hop on my trusty bike and ride out towards the place. There were lots of billboards of Adrien's perfume around the city, reminding people constantly that he is Paris' most beloved model and I didn't know how to feel about that.

As I'm riding out in the streets, I notice a commotion in the distance. "What is going on?" I squint my eyes and notice the crowds running around as they hold up Adrien posters and cutouts.

"Sheesh...I didn't think he would be this popular..." I mutter, turning around the corner. There's an unfamiliar feeling on my thigh like my pockets are empty.

Oh, crud.

My phone. That's when I remember I left my phone at home--on the stand where it's charging. I hit the brakes of the bicycle, groaning as I check the time on the nearby street clock.

"Still have a little more time. Who cares if I'm late?"

I turn around to rush off towards home but then I nearly bump into someone.

"Oh, sorry, mister..." I apologize as I look up and almost lose my breath.

"(Y-Y/N)?" Adrien is standing in front of me, looking at me as he notices my change in attire. "I didn't even recognise you!" He says to which I bite my lip.

"Adrien? What are you doing here?!" I ask. As much as I feel graced for the fact that he's here in front of me, my eyebrows furrow at his presence. He knows that being out in the open after hitting a famous streak is dangerous, doesn't he?

Then I look behind him as a crowd emerges from the corner and one among them points over to us.

"THERE HE IS!" The fan screeches and that's when I realise what's going on.

"Get on!" I yell as I get ready to ride fast. "You might want to hold on to something or-" My breath hitches as I feel his hands grab my waist but there's no time to lose as I pedal full speed out of the scene.

"He's getting away! Get him!"

Not on my watch, missy!

I swiftly charge into the streets away from Adrien's fans.

"You're good at this, (Y/N)!"

I can only picture how red my face would be looking right now. I turn around to check and it appears we've lost the crowd. Just to be sure, I bike a little longer and stop near a fountain.

"Looks like they're gone..." I huff as I scan the area.

"So what's up with the chase?" I mean, the answer was obvious. He's famous.

"They're going crazy all because of this ad..." He says dismally and I feign confusion. "Oh...an ad? You starred in an ad?"

"That's incredible!"

Oh, gosh...I sound like Marinette right now.

I smile at the thought of the girl but return to sympathy when Adrien pulls a frown, "Not so much."

My eyebrows furrow as I look at him concerned. It was unusual to see this blonde-haired model complain about his life. From what I knew, his home life was okay, if not a little lonely. Maybe I was wrong and I found myself wanting to ask about the situation but also didn't want to intrude into his life as if I knew him. I didn't. To him, I'm probably another fangirl of his or worse, a friend who just happened to be around the corner when he was in need.

So, I calm down. My mind reverts to the problem at hand--his hand on my freaking waist. My heart picks up as he moves his hands a little further up and with a long soft breath, I hop off the bike out of his grasp.

"I better get going..." I say, pulling out of the calm silence between us.

"Wait!" He abruptly stops me and pulls me away near a fountain as we get off.

"What's going on?" I ask as I follow his gaze to a car. His limo. It slowly turns around the corner and leaves out of our sight. Confused by the model's unexpected reaction, I turn to him in disarray.

"Isn't that your bodyguard?"

"Yeah. I, uh...I kinda snuck out...without permission. I'm supposed to be at home right now..." He admits cheekily. I look at him in disbelief.

"Are you serious? Adrien Agreste sneaking out?" I stifle my laughter as he looks at me, embarrassed.

"I didn't know a stay-at-home boy like you would rebel~" I tease, feeling victorious when I see his cheeks flush with red. But then I realise what I just said and scream internally but he chuckles with me.

Our little moment is interrupted when we hear a camera shutter, alerting both of us as we turn to the sound.

"Adrien Agreste and his girlfriend on a date, bike-riding near the Place des Vosges! Hashtag romantic! Posted!" The culprit reads his post out loud.

"Oh boy..."

A few seconds later we can hear screams from the other side of the park and thundering footsteps heading out way. We ditch the bike and run full speed to the opposite of the crowd.

"What about your bike?!"

"I'll get it later! Come on!" I grab his hand as we both bolt across the street and then into a subway station. We stop when it's clear and break down in a fit of huffs and pants from all the running.

"That was close..." I look at him with an amused smile and he returns the same, "Thanks. I don't think I would have escaped if it weren't for you..." The blonde-haired model says and a nervous chuckle leaves my lips.

"Lucky you." I joke as he proceeds to look down.

"I'm sorry I got you in this mess." He apologizes yet again, "Now everyone thinks you're my girlfriend."

I flinch at the word.

"T-That's not what we should be worried about right now. Are you sure it's a good idea to go against your dad?" I ask as I play the strap of my bag, giving him a worried look. He shrugs unperplexed as he rummages through his pocket, "What could go wrong?" He says, "Not when I have my lucky charm!"

My heart flutters when I recognise the charm being the one I gave him. I feel my blush deepen and a grin pulling on my cheeks.

"That was so corny." I laugh as he scratches the back of his head. We then hear a scream. Our heads turn to the sound like alarmed rabbits spotting its predator. It's from the other side of the tracks, luckily.

"IT'S ADRIEN AGRESTE!" The people start taking pictures of us which makes me panic.

"We shouldn't be here!" Adrien says to me as he takes my hands and leads me towards one of the exits. But our eyes land on his bodyguard blocking the entrance.

How did he get here so quick?

We move towards the other exit but it's blocked with other fans. We back away as we're now cornered.

"What do we do?" I whisper, scared of what's going to happen. He looks at me and the train. Seeing the only way out, he pushes us into the subway train just as the door closes and takes off for the next station. I freeze at the sudden contact of his chest as he lands on top of me and apologizes.

Fortunately, the compartment is empty and I can finally get some air after the chase.

"Man, that was scary," I say with a hint of laughter, watching the blonde-haired boy sigh in relief. "Now you know what it's like to be chased by crazy fans..." He says with a charming grin, squinting his eyes at me in curiosity.

"But I never got to ask where you were going before this." He sits down on the seat across mine. I'm a little shocked he'd ask me something like this seeing that he wasn't the type to strike up an open conversation. I smile profusely at him.

"Oh, no worries, I was going to meet up with someone," I state as I rummage through my bag to see if anything was missing and sure enough, there's still no phone.

"Like a date?" He quirks his eyebrow playfully and I blush.

"N-No! I meant like with Marinette and the others..." I say with a flustered puff.

A date, huh? I can't help but gape at why he'd ask me something like that. There's a moment of silence between us as I realise that we're arriving at the next station.

"We should probably hide you somewhere quiet," I suggest as he sighs and places his head back on his seat.

"What about the theatre?"

---

I walk ahead of him in anticipating steps, covering him from further trouble before turning to him, "How's your disguise?" I ask, giggling at the sight of him in a helmet. He ridiculously flaunts it off making me roll my eyes.

"Works fine." He says with thumbs up, "How about you?"

"Peachy," I say as I place my sunglasses snugly on the bridge of my nose.

We gather enough courage to sneak past people who were oblivious to the fact that the very own Adrien Agreste was passing by. It feels almost too easy as the weight of the thrill heightens my senses. We get two tickets for a movie that Adrien picked and enter the theatre stealthy and undetected.

"Wow, that was close," I mutter as we both hidingly slump onto the seats in the middle aisle.

"I can't believe the disguises worked." He says, pulling up the visor on his helmet blocking his vision.

"Coming here was a great idea! Now we just have to steer clear of possible fans here..."

He nods as he finds a comfortable spot int his seat, "Actually...this was where I was headed before my fans spotted me. It's why I snuck out in the first place. Thanks to you, my father won't find out!"

I raise an eyebrow at him. Now there were a lot of questions in my mind.

"Your dad doesn't let you go to the movies?" I ask doubtfully as I clearly remember him coming to the movies with us that one time.

"No, no. He does; only with Nathalie or my bodyguard, of course. But I'm not so sure he'd allow me to see this movie."

Oh, that explains it...

"It's a very rare movie that I never got to see. It's not on the internet, and my father's hidden the only DVD somewhere at home. It's only being shown once, and that's today. You see, my mother starred in the leading role..."

My jaw drops. I look at the boy beside me and then feel a wave of feelings towards what I just heard. He gives me a short smile as he looks at the massive screen in front of us.

"It's starting!" He whispers excitedly which makes me do the same as the theatre lights dim. A wistful piano tune fills the ambience of the room, accompanied by the sound of heavy rain falling onto the pavement and the soft clicking footsteps. It's calming--almost like there's only us two in the room.

'Solitude' reads the title on the black and white screen as a woman walks beside the Seine clutching an umbrella. She ever so softly holds her right hand out to feel the rain, pushing the umbrella upward then finally showing the sight of a beautiful young adult with features similar to the one I saw on Adrien's computer at that time.

"She's so pretty..." I gulp, far unbeknownst to Adrien who leans further in, taking off the helmet for a better view.

"That's my mother." His voice softens. An anxious gasp from Adrien makes me turn to look at him and I find myself unable to look away from the sight of the boy trying to hold in his emotions. His expression looks painful. Torturing for that matter; like he wanted to burst out in tears. His eyes bore into the screen before him, probably unnerved to see his mother on-screen.

Without a thought, I place a hand over his that was gripping down the armrest of the seat. He looks at it and then towards me as I give him a sympathetic look.

"I wish I had the right words. Just know that I'm here for you. It's okay to feel this way, Adrien..." I say to him with a sad, flat-lined smile and he clenches his jaw in anguish. He looks down as if he's not sure of what he should do and he sulks.

"Thanks, (Y/N)..." He lets out with a bright smile and then continues to watch the movie.

As if things couldn't get any worse, a shutter pulls me back to reality. The sound is already captured in my mind from the last encounter but this time, I feel my emotions fuel in anger.

"Adrien and his girlfriend at the movies!"

It's too late to stop what's coming our way. I internally grumble, finding it very difficult not to burst out in rage and then the familiar pain strikes me making me clench my fist.

Why now?

I turn to Adrien who looks like a deer in headlight.

"ADRIEN'S HERE!"

I curse myself for not escaping sooner as swarms of fans gather around us asking for a picture or autograph, some even filming us. I never thought I would feel so small and a familiar feeling of dizziness makes me grip Adrien's shirt in reflex. That's when the ground rumbles making all of us look up in fear.

An earthquake? I ponder, but then the theatre's roof starts to crumble down and a large hand enters through it, grabbing Adrien away.

"Adrien!" I scream but then my eyes fixate on the villain. It's the bodyguard turned into this...humungous gorilla. All the bystanders run for their life at the monster, leaving the room empty as he exits the perimeter.

"Come on, Seven! Let's bloom!" I shout in a rush and transform into my alter ego, following the villain right away.

"Let him go right now!" I demand the beast but expectantly he ignores me and climbs to the roof of Montparnasse Tower. Once he reaches the top, he lets out a thunderous roar. I race up the tower with my whip and try to attack him.

"Primvère Rosé!" Adrien sounds relieved at my presence as I pounce towards the villain who seems to be so strong.

"Don't worry, kiddo. I gotcha!" I try to get a grasp of him but fail almost every time. Ladybug joins the battle soon enough as I see her yo-yo hit the gorilla's eyes.

"Ladybug! Get his other hand!" I say to her as I use my whip to grab hold the one where he's captured Adrien. I use the building as leverage and use force to open the villain's fingers.

"Jump, Adrien!" I call out to him as he looks over to the only spot he can jump; off the building.

"Any time now!" Ladybug struggles to hold on to the villain's arm.

"You have to trust me!" I plead as I begin to lose grip as well. Adrien steps out of the tight grip and smiles.

"Always."

He jumps off, which makes me immediately loosen my grip of the gorilla's hands, ready to take after Adrien. But the villain grabs me with his now free hand as well as Ladybug with the other.

"No! No! Let me go!" I kick and scream against his fist as I watch Adrien's body grow closer and closer to the ground.

"Roses Divine!" I yell into the air and then feel rose petals combust all around me, freeing Ladybug and me out of the gorilla's grasp. I dive down into the air, quickly using my whip to extend towards Adrien's falling body. When it circles his chest, I pull him up forcefully towards me and then his body crashes flush against mine, face-to-face.

The moment lasts a second as we're slowly descending to the ground as people cheer for us. As soon as we land, I step away from him.

"I knew I could count on you, m'lady-OH! I mean, uh...Primvère Rosé!" He retorts even though I'm not sure why. A fan comes along with a helmet and hugs Adrien, thanking me for saving him. Soon the ground rumbles as soon as the villain lands on the ground with us.

I take the helmet from the fan and place it on Adrien. Ladybug jumps down in front of us, "Take him to safety! I'll handle this ape!" She says and attacks the villain as I grab hold of Adrien again and use my whip to swing away. We're far away from the scene that I stop on a roof.

My miraculous then starts beeping.

"Your choker. Why is it beeping?" The blonde model asks as I turn around in search of a hiding spot. "I don't have long until I transform back again. But don't worry we'll get you out of this mess before I get a chance to!" We land on the ground. My gaze shifts to a subway station.

"Of course! I know how we can trap him! We'll lure him just above a subway and use Cat Noir's power to trap him beneath the ground!" I exclaim.

"Speaking of that cat, where is he?" I grumble as I dial to call Ladybug.

"Ladybug! I need you to lure the gorilla to our location!"

"What?! WHY?"

"I have a plan and it includes trapping him under the subway station close by! Also, tell Cat Noir to haul himself over here if you see him!"

"Gotcha!"

I hang up and it's time to play the waiting game.

"What if Cat Noir doesn't show up?" Adrien asks me as he takes off his helmet, looking at me distressed. I smile reassuringly at him, "Cat Noir's a lot of things! Being late is one of them but he shows up when we need him! I trust him."

He smiles at my words and nods, "Yes. He will show up! I know it!" He says and I nod before running inside the subway, leaving him to play bait. I stop at a spot directly below the open ground.

"Hurry up, Cat Noir..." I mutter to myself.

The heavy rumble of the ground signals the arrival of the villain and I get ready in my stance.

Soon enough, I hear a muffled 'Cataclysm' from above and smirk. The ground above me crumbles and then the huge half of the villain lands in front of me. I pick up a call from Cat Noir.

"This is Cat Noir delivery service! Did you order a giant beast, m'lady?"

His voice calms me down immediately and I let out a sigh of relief, "I knew you'd make it!" I say, "Where's Adrien?"

"He's safe and peachy!" He says and then I hang up.

"I'm sorry but I'm going to have to search your pockets~," I say and then go through the large pocket of the villain, finding the bracelet.

"Adrien must've dropped it when we escaped..." I giggle as I break it and the Akuma flies out. In cue, Ladybug de-evilises the Akuma, releasing the butterfly and watching it fly away.

"Miraculous Ladybug/Primrose!"

---

"Ah! I can't believe I went to the movies with Adrien!" I squeal as I roll around my bed, my mind clouded with all the moments I've spent with Adrien. I hear my phone ring on the stand where I left it and then pick it up. It's a facetime from Alya.

"Okay, girl. We saw your pictures online! I CAN'T WAIT TO HEAR ALL THE DEEDS!" Alya says enthusiastically and I can't help but blush. Mylene, Juleka and Rose squeeze in as look at me through the phone with a proud look. I grin sheepishly.

"Totally! I'll come over. Uh...where are you guys?" I ask as I try to scan where they are.

"We're still at the swimming pool, waiting for you and Marinette!"

My eyes widen, "Wait! I'll be right there!" I say and hang as I realise I left my bag at the theatre.

"Forgetting something?" Seven asks with a knowing smirk as I run around frantically. "MY PHONE!"

End Chapter.

Gorilla's token is a watch, by the way.

So...I recently found out that it doesn't matter what you chant before the transformation. If the holder has the intention of changing into the alter ego, it'll do it automatically. Like why didn't I get this before...

ANYWAY, I hope you're having a great time staying at home!

You can ask me ANYTHING and if I'm up for it, I'll probably post the Q&A next update! As always, stay safe and wash your hands!

Love ya'll, author_yim.
