(Y/N) (L/N)'s P.O.V.

"Joining his fencing class is one way to get close to Adrien but..."

"I don't know..." I hesitate as I put on the fencing gear.

Marinette groans at my indecision. "Hey! Don't back out so soon..." She whines.

"Don't blame me!" I defend, "D'Argencourt is most prestigious fencing institution in Paris...How am I even going to compete against them?"

"I can't even find the right helmet that fits!" I say as I search through the display of helmets in front of me.

Seven flies around my form, "Relax! You'll do fine. Besides, you've been reviewing fencing rules for a week now!" The Kwami says in an effort to encourage me.

"Yeah...maybe..." I smile at their support and hug them which gives me some guts.

"Wish me luck!" I say as I walk out of the locker room to the courtyard. I grab a sabre from the bench.

I get into my position just as Mr D'Argencourt starts. "I will be your trainer, Mr D'Argencourt. As you might be aware, there is only one spot to fill for these tryouts. So I'll be observing the beginners as they duel with my student!" He says which makes me nervous in an instant.

"Get into positions!"

I search around as a fencing student in full gear approaches me.

"You seem to be looking for someone..." A familiar voice says to which I nod, "Oh, yes, did you see Adrien? A guy, tall, blonde hair, model-esque physique, beautiful green eyes?" I ask the guy.

He then opens his helmet, showing himself.

Those luscious blonde locks...

"Thanks for the compliments." Adrien, being the one in front of me, gives me a cheeky smile.

"A-Adrien..." I blush, embarrassed because of the things I said..

"You look kinda nervous..." He says, probably sensing my vibes.

"I am. It's my first time trying it out. I just know a few basics ever since I got into the fencing trend..." I admit with a sheepish grin.

"Really? I didn't know you were into fencing!"

My chest heaves in panic.

I cover it up as I roll my eyes. "Honestly, you don't know anything about me at all!" I say, grateful inside that I avoided any further awkward interactions.

He chuckles as he nods, "True, but I know enough that you're helpful, charismatic and lovely which is great, considering you're my friend."

Ouch.

I laugh, hiding my displeasure, "You're too kind, Adrien..." And handsome, charming, loving, sweet, cute...did I say handsome already?

"I said, get into positions!" Mr D'Argencourt says which makes me put my helmet on.

I look at Adrien, a little confused. "A little help?" I say, unsure of what to do next.

He walks to me, placing a hand on my wrist. My face heats up at the sudden contact.

"Bend your knees and put your left foot backwards," He says and I follow his instructions, "Perfect! Now, put your sabre forward like this..." He says as he glides his hand to position mine.

I notice how close our faces are and smile at him nervously.

"So, you're my fencing tutor now?" I ask him to lighten the mood. "Of sorts," He grins innocently.

"Greet each other!" Mr D'Argencourt commands.

"En garde!" He shouts and both of us ready in our stance.

"Prez! Allez!" He says and the others start duelling.

"Come on, (Y/N). You're supposed to touch me." Adrien instructs which makes me nod. (A/N: Touch him, eh? ( ‾ʖ̫‾))

I use my sabre to touch him and then he launches at me. I dodge his attacks and then, as I learned previously in my internet search about fencing, I point my sabre on his chest which flagged that he was out.

"Attaque! Touche! Point!" Mr D'Argencourt says, signalling my win. "Continue." He says which makes me pull my helmet up.

"Thanks!" I say to Adrien who also pulls his helmet up.

"All I did was launch. You have good reflexes!" He says and then readies in his stance again. I roll my eyes, "Beginner's luck, I guess..." I say and shrug.

"En garde!" He says which makes me smirk and do as he does, "Prez! Allez!"

He attacks to which I launch at him. I dodge his attack and then point again. He's baffled at my win.

"Attaque, parry, riposte, contre-attaque. You win this round, (Y/N)." He says in an impressed tone.

"Well, I do have a great fencing tutor after all~," I say as I look at him. He rolls his eyes playfully.

"Shall we?" I ask and he gets ready.

"Hey, you!"

A voice interrupts us. We look up to see the source, "Are you Mr D'Argencourt, the fencing master?" The person, wearing a red fencing uniform points to the teacher, and says with a menacing tone, "I want to join your team!"

Adrien and I look at each other with equal confusion. "Is she new...?" I ask him but he shrugs.

Mr D'Argencourt scooff and looks down at the newcomer, "Only the best admit here, you naive," He comments with an unamused tone.

The person jeers, "I am the best wherever I went!"

"Is that so? This whippersnapper has the nerve!" The older teacher laughs, "I may consider your admission shall you defeat one of my aspiring students!" He promises which makes the person step forward.

"Which one of you is the best?!" The newcomer says in an aggressive tone.

One by one, the students just look at Adrien who stands next to me.

"Adrien! Why don't you teach this brat a lesson, hmm?" Mr D'Argencourt asks him to step forward.

"Of course, Master..." He gives the guy a glance, looking composed.

Marinette, who was standing there watching us the whole time, rushes beside me, "Who's that?" She asks but I shrug.

The anonymous fencer shows off his skills which makes my eyes widen.

I lament, defeated. "Great! There goes my chance of getting into the fencing team! This guy's probably better than any of us!" I grumble as they get into their stance.

"Patience! We don't even know who won yet!" Marinette says with an assuring smile.

"En garde! Prez! Allez!" Mr D'Argencourt starts and there's the most brutal battle ever. At least, that's what I see...

Attack, parry, riposte, parry, point. The buzzer goes off for both sides.

"Attaque simultanée! Pas de touche!" Mr D'Argencourt says signalling no point and they get ready again.

The next battle; again, both side get points.

Mr D'Argencourt calls abstention, being unable to decide who the winner is.

"Let's do it the old-fashioned way! We'll be much more at ease without the machine." The new student says which makes me look at Mr D'Argencourt.

"Adrien?" He asks.

"Fine with me," Adrien favours and both of them take off their connectors.

"En garde! Prez!" I close my eyes and wish that Adrien wins, "Allez!"

Both of them take it off into a sprint and attack each other with simultaneous pace.

"Look at them go!" Marinette cheers.

Both of them duel, taking their battle to different locations. Adrien ascends the courtyard stair as the new student pushes him up before miraculously doing a front flip to the top stair.

"Is this what fencing's all about?!" I look at Mr D'Argencourt who looks at the duel enthusiastically, "YES! This is what fencing's all about!" He acknowledges and the students follow them in the same route.

"Marinette, come on!" I say as I take a different route seeing that the duelling pair is beading to the library.

We both run up the stairs but I try running faster since Adrien looks like he's winning.

I watch as they both enter the library, with me entering after them. They both battle straining every energy left in their body.

"Let's end this now!" The new student declares and they do the last round.

Attack, parry, point! But looking at them, they both look like they hit each other simultaneously.

"I'm...here...!" Marinette pants as she stands beside me, only to see the battle ended.

"Who got the first hit?! WHO?!" The impatient one being Adrien's opponent, taking me by surprise.

"Tell us! Who won?!" Mr D'Argencourt asks which makes my mouth gape, afraid.

"No simultaneous hits this time, eh?"

"Uh..." I look between the two of them.

"I think it was...Adrien...?" I blurt out, doubtful of what I'm saying.

"Aha! Wonderful!" Mr D'Argencourt exclaims, "This is a great honour for D'Argencourt Academy!" He says.

I look back at Adrien's opponent, watching as they both shake hands and leave.

"Are you sure, (Y/N)...?" Adrien walks up to me and I look down.

"I..." I sigh as I look at him.

"I have to fix this..." I turn to the new student but he seems to have already left. Adrien follows me and we both run down the stairs.

I look down to see him throw his sabre to the courtyard as he leaves.

"Hey! Wait!" I call out as I run and grab his sabre, watching him about to open the door to a limousine.

He turns back to see me as I run to him.

"Your sabre..." I hand it over just as he takes off his helmet. My eyes widen at the sudden reveal.

"Y-You're..." I stutter.

Apparently, He's a she...

Adrien's expression changes drastically.

Silky blue bob-cut hair and sharp brown eyes...

She stares at me with a mindful gaze, probably hurt because of my decision.

"Let's do a...decisive match...?" Adrien says to her as I'm speechless beyond this point.

"So, you feel guilty for me? Don't bother, you won. So what's the point? There are no such things as second chances in my family." She says in a pained tone.

"Goodbye..." She ends and enters her car. I watch as she drives away.

Adrien grabs the sabre from my hand and runs to his limo. "Follow that car!" I hear him say as he drives off.

My heart clenches at his action.

"(Y/N)..." Marinette places a hand on my shoulder. "Let's go..." She says as I look up.

My eyes spot an Akuma in the air.

"An Akuma!" I say to her as it heads for the direction of Adrien and that girl's limos.

"Let's capture it before it claims an innocent!" Marinette suggests. We both head over to an alley before transforming and heading for the Akuma.

I feel a strong sense of pain in my chest as the piqûre effect takes place.

"Too late..." I grunt to Ladybug as we jump from roof to roof searching for the villain.

"Over there!" Ladybug calls as I look at the commotion before us.

My heart drops when I see Adrien's limo cut into half.

The villain stands above a car as she glances down to Adrien who's on the ground. I recognise the villain.

"I'll grab Adrien, you go for the villain!" I say to Ladybug.

I use my whip to swing and then land in front of Adrien.

"You don't have to do this! You're just being a victim of Hawkmoth's plan!" I say to her.

The villain scowls, "That's Riposte to you, you pathetic fool! Adrien's mine!" She says which makes me furrow my eyebrow.

"That's not a very pleasant way to put it..." I mutter as I signal Adrien to back away.

Ladybug grabs the villain's sword, "How'd you like to start a duel with me?!" She says and tries to pull her sword away but it seems to be morphed with her hand.

The villain attacks Ladybug with her sword as she dodges her.

"Don't worry Adrien, I haven't forgotten about you! I'll have to deal with them first!" Riposte says as she attacks me next. I use my whip to block her advances.

Adrien looks at our duel, "Don't let her close in on you! Fight back!" He says and throws to me the forgotten sabre.

I grab it, "Thanks! But you have to get out of here!" I say and position for battle.

I glare at the villain with hate. "She doesn't deserve you..." I mutter under my breath before lunging at her. Ladybug takes her from the back as I from the front.

Riposte does multiple attacks at me which startles me. She shoves me down from my bewilderment and tries to strike at me.

"Watch out!" Adrien pulls me out of the way which makes her miss. We roll and crash to the ground with him on top of me.

I blush at our position. To be exact, his knee between my legs...

Adrien winces as he sits up and grabs his leg.

"Are you okay?" I ask him and he shakes his head, "Don't worry about me. I'm fine..."

Ladybug covers for me and I toss the sabre to her.

"Let's get you to a safer place so she doesn't find you..." I say to which as we both stand up.

I pull him by the waist which provokes a reaction out of him. He turns away in, probably, embarrassment.

I gulp as I didn't know why I did that.

I extend my whip to a building top and swing us out of there. I find a temporary hiding spot for both of us.

"What kind of fencing was that...?" I ask him as he continues to hold his ankle.

"I don't know, it's nothing I've ever seen before..." He admits.

I grab my whip and retract it.

I call Cat Noir but he doesn't pick up. "Where are you, Cat Noir?" I fuss and place my whip back on my waist.

Adrien chuckles, "Maybe he's...busy?" He suggests before I see that Ladybug jumps in our vicinity.

All of us look up to see Riposte as she slices the building in front of us. I grab Adrien and back up.

"I'll defeat all of you! You won't stand a chance! I'm the best fencer in the world!" She yells aggressively at us.

"No one said you weren't..." Ladybug says as she looks at me.

Adrien nods, "Yeah, I'm sure my friend, (Y/N), made a bad call..."

Strike two.

"I'm sure...she didn't want to humiliate you..." I mutter against my instinct.

"It's too late! The damage is already done!" She growls and attacks Adrien but I stop her.

"Roses Divine!" I activate and purple rose petals pound her off to the other side of Paris.

"Ladybug, cover me," I say as I grab Adrien by the waist and swing away. I take him to the Lourve.

"There's an Akuma alert everyone! Evacuate calmly!" I say to the bystanders and they do so.

"There's an Akuma Alert. Primvère Rosé, Ladybug and Cat Noir request to evacuate the premises." The announcer at the Lourve says as I search for a place to hide Adrien.

I enter the Egypt exhibit with Adrien in my arms and look around, "Safe place..." I spot a sarcophagus; in short terms, a coffin. I pull him towards it.

I open the coffin, revealing a space, "I'm sorry, Adrien, but this is the only spot for now..." I say to him as I lead him inside.

He lays flat and I push the covering to close it.

Adrien grabs the edge and stops me, "Be careful, Primvère..." He says with concerned eyes.

His words fill warmth in my chest and I smile at him, "I'll come back for you, okay? I..."

"Uh...I hope you aren't claustrophobic!" I say and close the sarcophagus.

I enter the main gate and set out to get to Riposte, only to be interrupted by the said-person. She attacks me out of nowhere.

"Where's Adrien?!" She shouts at me to which I glare at her.

"Like I would tell you! Where's Ladybug?!" I counter as I stand in a defensive tone.

"I sent her in a wild goose chase to save time. She was distracting me anyway," She says as she moves towards me. I use my whip to deflect her attacks.

She fights me to the art exhibit where I struggle to fight back. She pushes me to the ground and holds her sword above on my throat.

"Say goodbye, Primvère Rosé..." She says in an evil tone as she gets ready to strike at me. I flinch in an instant and prepare for impact.

Cat Noir saves me by using his baton to parry her attack.

I look at him, amazed, "Aren't you a knight in shining black leather~?" I comment and he smirks, "I would never leave my princess behind~," He replies with a wink.

"Cat Noir..." Riposte growls at his arrival.

He pulls back and smirks at me. "A fencing tournament in the Lourve and I wasn't invited?!" He gasps fakely.

"Let me guess, you're late because you were at the groomer's again~?" I tease him which makes him chuckle.

"I was pruning myself, m'lady~ You must know how tiring it is to get a cat ready!" He stats before we lurch at Riposte.

"By the way, where's Ladybug?"

As I'm about to shrug, we hear a crash on the right.

"I'm here!" The said-bug jumps beside our position and we all corner the villain.

"Where have you been, Ladybug?" I ask her which makes her scoff, "You should ask that to the cat!" She points.

I chuckle, "At the groomer's, it appears~," I say to which Ladybug laughs.

Cat Noir pouts as we aim our weapons to Riposte.

"Checkmate, Riposte!" Ladybug says with a contented smirk.

The villain just replies with a growl, "You're thinking of the wrong game, Ladybug! It's Attaque mal-parrée!" She says and strikes all of us before bounding for Ladybug who has the sabre.

She and Ladybug battle outside the room which allows Riposte to seal off the room by using the security system.

"Ladybug!" I scream as I pull the metal bars blocking us.

They take the battle downstairs where the Egypt exhibit is. I freeze in fear.

Just then, my miraculous beeps signally only five minutes left. I groan.

Cat Noir winces in pain which makes me look at him, with his hand on his ankle.

"Are you alright?" I ask in concern.

He nods and then stands up, "Cataclysm!" He activates his powers and uses it on the metal bars.

"Go! I'll follow you!" He says which makes me leap to the Egypt exhibit. There I see Ladybug on the ground and Riposte ready to pounce at her.

"Stop!" I yell at her, gaining Riposte's attention.

My gaze goes to the sarcophagus where Adrien is hidden. She follows my gaze to it and smirks, "Of course!" She says in realisation.

"No!" I cry out and rush to her but too late.

"The hour of revenge has struck!" She says and strikes the sarcophagus into pieces.

"Adrien!" I shriek in horror. But fortunately and confusingly, he's not there.

Cat Noir enters the battle just as Riposte screams, "Where is he?!"

"Where's who?" Cat Noir asks, clearly confused.

"Riposte is hunting down Adrien Agreste! I hid him in the sarcophagus b-but he's not here!" I explain.

He shrugs, "I think he's just claws-traphobic~," He says which makes me glare at him.

"That's what I was worried about..." I sigh as then push the alarm which closes Riposte into the Egypt exhibit with the metal bars.

"Nowhere to run now, Riposte!" Ladybug says as she stands up.

"Let's find Adrien together, Primvère! And finish this match at once!" She says and uses her sword to slice through the metal bars.

"Lucky Charm!" Ladybug activates her power and radiator falls on her hands. She looks at the heavy object with confusion.

"Great. That should heat things up..." Cat Noir remarks to which I roll my eyes.

I gaze at her sword, "The Akuma is obviously in her sword! She didn't have her sabre with her when she was Akumatized!" I say in the heat of the moment. Ladybug uses her Lucky vision.

"Cat Noir! I'm going to need your belt!" She asks to which he nods, "Get ready!"

We make our move as Ladybug and Cat Noir exchange the radiator for the belt. Just then, the villain strikes at him.

Cat Noir uses the radiator's bars to capture Riposte sword just as she launches and Ladybug uses Cat Noir's belt to tie the sword to the radiator.

I jump and bounce off a wall for momentum. "Prez!" I call.

"Allez!" Cat Noir and Ladybug follow as I kick the radiator's edge and break the sword. The Akuma flies out of it.

"Time to de-evilise!" Ladybug catches the Akuma, "Gotcha!" She releases it and smiles.

"Miraculous Ladybug/Primrose!" Ladybug tosses the radiator in the air and I shoot an arrow to the sky.

"What happened?" I hear the fencer say. I then walk to her.

"No more injustice in the world and here's a token from a rose~," I chant and rose petals form around me. They hover towards the fencer. A silver sabre forms on her hands.

"W-What is this?" She looks confused at it before turning to me.

Ladybug and Cat Noir walks to us, "Something tells me you're new here..." Cat Noir speaks as he leans on his baton.

Ladybug smiles at the girl, "Just consider this as a token of welcome from Paris' finest superheroes!"

"Yeah, since Ladybug seems to have lost your former one!" I laugh when I see her expression.

"It's right there!"

I give an indifferent gesture.

Then I kneel to the girl's level, "And take it easy on Adrien...whatever he might have done to you. I know that he means well..." I say with a smile. Just then, my miraculous beeps violently. I flinch.

"I-I better go! Please take care of this young lady and find Adrien!" I squeal and run out of the Lourve.

I frantically search for a safe spot before transforming inside an empty bus. I walk out of the bus with a sigh.

"That was close..." I say to Seven as I hand her grapes.

"The Akuma alert has been called off. Thank you for your co-operation."

I look towards the mysterious fencer, who walks out of the Lourve and calls for her limo to pick her up. I hide behind a poster and watch her movements.

Just then Adrien steps out. I sigh when I see that he's just fine.

"Hey..." I hear Adrien call out to her. Both of them face each other but without looking straight at each other's faces.

"I'm sorry..." They say in unison which makes me smile softly.

Adrien looks at her, "Perhaps you'll take this back?" He hands her sabre back.

"But I have a new one..." She points to the silver one I gave her, "Besides, I lost and it's the failure that will never let me take this back...You keep it." She declines the sabre back.

Adrien shakes his head, "I personally think that point was yours!"

"But that's not what your friend saw..." She says with a sad expression. I wince at her opinion and mentally curse myself at that.

"You know, (Y/N)'s not really a clumsy one. But she was just nervous!" He defends me, surprising me.

"She's usually kind, generous, helpful, polite and charismatic! This was her first experience as a fencer!" He says which makes my chest feel heavy.

The girl laughs softly at his sudden defence, "You like her a lot, huh?" She says with a smirk.

"(Y/N)? Yeah! Of course!" Adrien says and my heart beats rapidly.

Is this the moment of truth-

"She's a great friend and you'll like her too once you get to know her!"

My heart clenches hard at his words.

Strike three...

"A great friend, huh?"

Don't cry.

I bite my lip with a force of habit.

"Please take it..." Adrien says with an assuring smile. She smiles back and bows, "I'll be very happy to know your friend (Y/N)!" She says, without much notice to the sabre.

He nods at that and pulls out a hand, "My name's Adrien, what's yours?"

She looks at his hand and shakes it, "Kagami..." She says with a bright grin. Kagami's limo arrives. She runs to it before turning back, "Get ready for that decisive match!" She teases as she enters the car.

"Can't wait..." Adrien says and waves at her. She drives off.

Seven flies and places her hand on my cheek, "Hey! At least now you know how much Adrien values your friendship!" She says in an effort to cheer me up.

I look at her and scurry down on the ground. I hug my knees close to my chest and place my head on them.

"I-I know..." I sigh out to her, "I just don't know why I'm feeling this way..."

Seven smiles at me as hugs my cheek, "You love him, don't you?" She says.

I nod silently, not wanting to stress the topic.

"Then, you'll know that one day, he'll love you too! Just be yourself, follow what your heart says and wait for him to see you as the person he just described and more! He'll definitely fall head over heels for you!" She says and I feel a blush creeping up on my cheeks.

I smile at her, feeling happy. "Thanks, Seven. You're the best!" I hug her back to which she cheers.

"Yeah, you bet I am!" She says in her cute voice to which I laugh.
