Ice Cold: Frozer Part-2

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

This is it.

The day I so dreaded to arrive that I couldn't even sleep last night. A lot of things went through my mind as I laid sleepless at 2 a.m. Why did I even agree? I could've suggested him going alone as a better way of having a connection with him. Huh. That's probably why.

But most importantly, why would Adrien come to me? He could've asked any other couple in school for advice. Seeing that I'm single and not getting in a relationship any sooner gives off that I am the last person he should come to for relationship advice.

"Are you ready?" Marinette massages my shoulders as I nod with my chest heaving.

"As ready as I'll ever be..." I say. I would've had a different answer if I was asked yesterday though.

We're in the captain's deck at Juleka's houseboat as we wait for Luka to get ready. I take a look at myself at my reflection on the window before scrunching my nose at the bluenette.

"Seriously..." I grumble. "Did I have to go through that long process of finding the right outfit to get here?"

"Yes."

"And why is that?"

"Your mission is to get Adrien back." She coos as if it's a rational thing to say. I send her a warning glare as she looks at me with an innocent smile that could kill anyone.

"No. It's not. I'm just there to help him with his date." I correct her but she rolls her eyes.

"Sure you are..."

Alya enters through the door and whistles at me, "This outfit looks bomb on you, girl!"

The only reason I could've gone for another outfit was that Marinette, no less, said to wear something appealing to this group 'date'. Although I protested a bit to the initial suggestions, I did find myself fawning over a combination of a nice burgundy bow-tie blouse and black high-waisted pants paired with my normal pumps.

"Your date's pretty hot, not gonna lie~" Alya teases to which I roll my eyes.

Marinette fumes at Alya's words and they start bantering at each other. "I only agreed to this because Luka is a gentleman and he probably knows you have a crush on Adrien seeing that we talked about him all day yesterday!" She argues back at Alya's statement which brings me to rub my temples for comfort.

I take a few deep breaths as I prepare myself to meet Adrien. They stop when they notice my self-calming mannerism.

"This is so lame..." I grumble, propping my elbows on the counter next to me. Marinette takes my hand and soothes it with her fingers, calming me down a little. She pulls my chin up and I peer into her oceanic blue eyes.

"Look on the bright side, (Y/N)..." She bolsters with a cheeky grin pointing to the blue sky, "It's a bright day!" She gleams, "...and Adrien might become super jealous when he sees you with Luka~!" She winks nudging me slightly as I glare at her.

In a fit of impatience, my fingers fumble with my choker loosely hanging on my neck. All of this suddenly feels all too real.

I turn to Alya whose eyes show sympathy. "You could still call it off if you want?" She whispers as she turns to drape her arms around my neck from behind me. I shake my head, "I have to do this. For Adrien."

He needs me.

"Are you absolutely sure you're okay with this?" I ask Marinette as I suppose being with Luka might have set off something in her for sure. She laughs at my assumption and sparkles back my worried expression with an assuring one.

"For the hundredth time, yes. Now go and get your man back!" She says and I glare at her.

That's probably not going to happen.

"Hey..." Juleka coughs from behind us to signal her arrival and we look to her. "He's waiting for you down by the deck." She mutters to which I feel all the more nervous. I grab my bag from the chair beside me.

"Wish me luck," I say with a parting wave as I walk down to meet with Luka, my so-to-say date for the afternoon. Once I see him waiting for me on the deck, I bite my inner cheek and manage to march towards him without having to make a fool out of myself. He gives me a calm smile seeing me approach him.

"Did I overdress for the occasion?" I ask him to which he chuckles, "You look stunning." He says making me laugh at the excessive comment. To me, Luka was like another guy—ahem—a hot one, who treats me more like a sister than a friend. We've spent most of our time together during my lone visits here at Juleka's houseboat; we share lots of things in common including music. He's a great lover of music and also a good friend to go to for advice. I also feel like he's kinda into Marinette. I'm sure he is.

"So, ready for our date~?" He asks with a teasing smile to which I cringe, "You and I both know very well that this is NOT a date."

"Says the one overdressed." He says to which I glare at him. I resist the urge to punch his shoulder.

"You're such a bully. Are you always like this to Juleka?"

He rolls his eyes as he gestures me to sit on his bike.

"Come on, we've got a date to get over with."

We take off towards the ice-rink since it's a little farther from the houseboat. As we ride through the streets of Paris, I feel the wind blow in my hair although it doesn't soothe the unnerving feeling of meeting with Adrien and Kagami.

Once we reach the ice-rink, I already see them waiting for us. I purse my lips and hop off Luka's bike. He parks it somewhere safe and we both walk over to them.

"Hey, you two." I greet as I compel myself to smile at the two of them.

Adrien grins at me and takes notice of my change in outfit, "You look great, (Y/N)!" He compliments sincerely. I feel warmth creeping on my cheeks, speechless. I try to force the lump on my throat to subside before eyeing Kagami behind us who's speaking on the phone probably with her mother. My date, on the other hand, is inside getting our tickets to enter the rink.

I cough awkwardly and proceed to pull him close to whisper.

"What are you doing?! Don't compliment me in front of your date! If you gonna do it, tell her, not me!" I whisper at him to which he swallows.

"R-Really?" He says as he looks over to the girl in question. He cups his hands over to my ears and whispers, "But you do look very nice..."

This dork...

My heart beats violently at this action but I push his hands away.

"Not in front of your date!" I scold him and he nods frantically like a child. I chuckle at his adorable pout.

"Shall we go in?" Kagami startles the two of us. I notice our close proximity which makes me back away from him. "Yeah! Sure! Let's go in!" I say. turning around before bumping into Luka's chest.

"Whoa. Be careful now." He says as he smiles at me endearingly. I furrow my eyebrows at him as he takes my hand and pulls me into the rink.

The four of us get our sets of skates and walk over to the seats to put them on. As I tie my skates on, Adrien scoots beside me which surprises me.

"It was really cool for you to bring Luka along with us." He says to me. I smile graciously at him and chuckle, "Of course! It would've been awkward if were only the three of us. Besides, I wouldn't want to be the third wheel..." I assure him.

"Thank you, (Y/N)..."

"That's what friends are for!" I say in a sarcastic tone which he doesn't notice and as he turns away I let out a silent groan and proceed to tie the laces.

"I don't know what to do about Kagami. Should I offer to hold her hand?" He asks me with a curious look to which I smile.

"Just be yourself, Adrien. Do what you always do, be comfortable in your skin. Be a gentleman, I'm sure she'd love to hold your hand." I say as I stand up and walk backwards towards Luka while facing Adrien.

"You got this-" I stop in my tracks as I feel my feet wobbling underneath me, sending me falling backwards. What I don't expect is a pair of hands around my waist securing me from my fall.

"Try to be natural." Luka says, "Go with the flow and follow the rhythm. Follow my lead." He says turning me around so that I'm facing him. I sneakily turn to Adrien who looks at us with wide eyes.

"So you're a figure-skating coach now?" I joke as Luka grabs a hold of my hand and guides me to the ice. Once we're alone, I finally get to clear my suspicions with him.

"Okay now, what did Juleka lay on you? Something's fishy about this whole...ordeal..." I ask.

He chuckles at my suspicion, "Good intuition." He compliments to which I smirk.

I knew it.

"So what did she say?" I ask out of regard as I scoot a little closer so I can hear him say it loud and clear.

"She told me to make lover boy jealous...and also promised to get me a new guitar pick." Luka shows no signs of holding it back which surprises me as I knew Marinette wanted this to be a secret.

"Of course," I growl as my guesses were correct. Marinette did recruit Luka as a part of this. No wonder she was so 'okay with it'. With all this thinking, a long sigh escapes my lips.

"You don't have to do this, you know..." I say to him sluggishly since I didn't want to drag him into this.

Luka stays quiet for a while. I only assume he's thinking about what to say.

"From the way you're saying it, it'll probably do you some good to have fun today." He suggests but then I let out a timid giggle. Figured he'd say that.

"Well, the thing is...I don't know how to figure-skate..." I admit and then he chuckles.

"Then I'll teach you the basics. You'll probably get the hang of it without falling too hard." He says sweetly which makes me grin.

"Thanks, Luka."

"Anytime."

I feel a smile tug on my lips at his eagerness to help me. I should forget about Adrien and have some fun. Yeah, I like the sound of that.

"It's like dancing but with your feet planted to the ground..." He says as he takes both of my hands and skates across the rink. I try to skate as smoothly as possible as Luka does some nice ice-skating tricks which leave me astonished.

"You've got some moves there, Coach~" I tease to which he smirks. "Well, we used to come here ice-skating a lot when we were kids-"

"You there, young man!" A middle-aged man in a jumper interrupts us, "Want to take some skating lessons from moi~? The judges would be thrilled to see your charming smile!" He skates around us provoking Luka who immediately declines.

"That's nice of you, sir. But my life's already filled with music." He says to the man who constantly asks for his acceptance but finally gives up.

"That was weird." Both of us share a laugh as we watch the man skates away from us.

My gaze lands on Adrien and Kagami who I didn't know had joined us in the rink. Kagami shows off her skills to Adrien who's astonished at her grace and elegance. I frown and look away not bearing to watch them get closer.

"Hey." Luka prompts me to look up. I look at him with narrowed eyes and he smiles, taking my hand and pulling me close, "Let's have some fun."

He grabs my waists which alarms my composure and I look at him with panicked eyes.

"Trust me." He winks as he lifts me in the air which sends adrenaline coursing through my veins.

"Come on. Spread your wings, (Y/N)!" He says to which I yelp in contentment, spreading my arms as a euphoric sensation burst within me.

I drop down gracefully into Luka's arms who smiles at my form, "You are getting the hang of this."

"Thanks, Luka..." I say emotional from the heat back then as he twirls me around. The same man from before obstructs the two of us, "You are the definition of a swan, young lady! Your talent and expression should not go to waste! I'll give you weeks worth of lessons for free and you'll become a star!"

I'm taken aback by the sudden applause but as I think more about his invitation, I also remember it's ready difficult enough as a part-time superhero.

"Thank you, sir. But I already have a lot of things going on and figure-skating is not my forte." I decline and continue my skating with Luka. As I begin to get a hold of my grip on the ice, I let go of Luka to skate on my own.

I look towards Adrien and Kagami, noticing how close they are and foolishly getting distracted for a second. I stumble from my form and crash straight onto a wall falling on my bottom and feel pain swell on my back.

"Oww..." I grunt in pain as I massage my behind.

"Are you okay?" Two voices from above me make me look up to them. I freeze when I see both Adrien and Luka holding out their hands for me to take.

What the heck...?

"Uh..." I look at both of them and then eventually decide to do the most embarrassing thing that I'll ever do. I grab both of their hands and hoist myself up in a mightily awkward way.

"Thanks..." I say with a constrained smile.

The coach laughs and twirls around, "YOU SEE! I can make all of you into professionals only if you sign here!" He says, which hurts my pride.

"Come on, Adrien Agreste! If you put your signature here, your fans will come running into my ice-rink and it will become famous!" He says to which the mayor from behind him, grabs the forms and tells him not to pester us since we don't have interests in singing up.

Kagami skates towards me between the two guys and inches close to me, "The only reason you can't stay on your feet is because you hesitate. I never hesitate." She says and grabs Adrien away from the two of us. My breath quivers rapidly as I watch the two of them.

Damn, this girl is scary...

"(Y/N), are you okay?" Luka places a hand on my shoulder. I smile at his concern, "I think I hurt myself. It's probably best we call it a day..." I say and head towards the rink's bathroom, locking myself in one of the stalls. I hold my head in pain as Kagami's stinging words stick into my head.

I never hesitate.

That's probably why Adrien likes her. She's so headstrong while I cower at everything that's against me. She was brought up with a silver spoon like him while I'm just...no one.

"Come on, (Y/N). You promised me you wouldn't so bend over backwards because of a boy!" Seven says which makes me let out a deep invigorating sigh.

"Every time I see him with her, I just can't take it anymore. She's perfect for him! Maybe I shouldn't have co-"

I get interrupted by a series of knocks on the bathroom door.

"(Y/N)? Are you alright?" Adrien's voice shocks me as I didn't expect him to come after me.

"A-Adrien?" I call out just to be sure.

"You must've fallen pretty hard. Does it hurt a lot?" I hear him say which makes me clench my teeth to suppress an incoming sniffle.

"What are you doing here, Adrien? You should be looking after your date." I say with an amused smile.

"I know. But more importantly, you are my friend. I'm not going to ignore you if you're hurt."

I don't think I've ever been so happy to hear him call me a friend.

"Adrien..." At this moment, I desperately want to go out to him and sink into his arms but I force myself to stay put because wouldn't it be crazy of me to go after someone who's in love with someone else?

"So this is what Cat Noir feels..." I whisper to myself.

"I'm alright, Adrien. It's nothing, just go back to Kagami. I'll be fine." I assure as I bite my lip hoping that he'll go away from me so that now I can finally let him go.

"I told Kagami I'll check up on you so don't worry."

You did what?

I facepalm. Why the heck would you do that?

I turn to Seven asking what to do with my eyes. She smiles and gestures me to go out and confront him. I nod as I prepare to make my way to open the stall door but then suddenly a familiar pain throbs within me.

Not now...

"(Y/N)! Hide!" I hear Adrien running away from some kind of danger which leads me to fear the worst. As I get ready to burst through the door, a layer of ice crackles through the walls, freezing all of the room.

"Ice?" Horror sets upon me when I realise who might have been akumatized.

"Seven, it's time to check out Master Fu's formula!" I say and I run out of the door to the room where I kept my bag, I opened a container of tampered blueberries and throw it up in the air.

"Seven, power up!" I chant and she catches it, engulfing it in one go. She transforms into this icy from, "Frost Seven, at your service!"

Standing ready, I begin my transformation. "Frost Seven, it's wintertime!" I chant and watch as Seven enters my choker, making ice forms through my body. The usual leather turns into a warm fibre that forms snowflake patterns all over my body with an icy diadem on my head.

I skate myself out of the ice-rink and watch as the whole entirety of Paris is modified into a dome of ice. As I jump on one of the buildings overlooking the city, Cat Noir appears beside me.

"Cat Noir!" I call out relieve as he turns away from me, "We have to build a trap for whoever's causing the eternal winter!"

He glares at me coldly before inching away from me, "My feline senses tell me to track and observe the villain. You go your way, I'll go mine." The tone of his voice makes me grimace internally.

"Please don't tell me you're still mad about the rose..." I whine in disbelief that he's still upset about that day.

"There might be a certain chill between us."

My mouth gapes at his sudden feistiness, showing no resilience. I scoff.

"Oh come on! I get it! But we should be focused on saving Paris right now!" I plead but he seems unfazed as he drops down a floor ahead of me.

"It's not like we're supposed to be together or anything. We're not a couple." He snaps and skates off which makes me smack my head.

"Cat Noir! Come back!" I cry out but he's long gone. I frown deeply at his disappearing figure as I feel the sudden urge to follow him but calm this angry feeling and turn away. "It's okay, Prim. You deserved that."

I swing across the city with my whip as I search for a place to place the trap. My whip beeps and I retract it to take the call.

"Ladybug, where are you?" I call out as I look around turning to the Eiffel Tower near me.

"I found your poor little kitty all pouty about someone." She snickers to which I breathe out heavily.

"Leave him be. I'm trying to find out a way to trap this dude."

"Yes, I know. I can see you."

I furrow my eyebrows at that as I look around. "What? Where are you?"

"We're heading your way-PRIM! WATCH OUT!" I hear the panic in her voice which leads me to turn around.

"Wha-"

The villain nearly pounces on me but Cat Noir pushes me from his course and helps me skate away. I turn to my knight in shining black leather with a grateful smile who returns it with his signature smirk.

"Thanks, kitty..."

Ladybug follows behind us at the villain gains upon us.

"He's too fast!" She exclaims as she tries using her yo-yo to get her off our trail but he dodges every single attack. We struggle to keep him off as he shoots us with shards from his legs.

"The Akuma must be in there!" I point at the pointy skates that he uses as his weapon. We finally get him off us as we hide behind a tall bus.

"You were right, Cat Noir! We observed and now we know where the Akuma is!" I exclaim excitedly.

"My Cataclysm could destroy his skates but he'd have to be in the air! You were right too. We're going to have to set a trap." He says, "We just need a push of luck."

We both turn to Ladybug who smirks.

"Lucky Charm!" She chants and then a bag of salt falls on her arms. She looks quizzically for a moment. "What are we going to do with this?"

I notice a leak in the bag. Salt pours out of it and lands on the ice-covered ground and melts it. Science.

"Look." I point towards it, "We're going to have to do some melting!"

Ladybug looks like she has an idea in mind as she huddles us up. "I'm going to keep Frozer busy while both of you set a trap!" She says and then whispers to us what we have to do handing the bag of salt to Cat Noir.

She goes on to find the villain whilst we begin to prepare. Cat Noir uses the salt to thaw the bus and a ladder. I grab the ladder as Cat Noir and I push the bus towards a wall, placing the ladder on top of the bus as a ramp.

"Now we play the waiting game..."

Cat Noir hides under the ladder and I grab the end of the ladder with my whip. We watch as Ladybug appears at the end of the street above the wall. She teases Frozer and challenges him to do this trick, jumping flawlessly and sliding on the ladder like a professional. I smirk as the villain jumps onto the ladder in an act of showing his skill off and then unbeknownst to him, I pull the ladder up, sending him flying into the air.

Cat Noir jumps from his hiding spot. "Cataclysm!" He chants and aims for the villain's skates, demolishing it.

The Akuma flies out which leads Ladybug to de-evilise it.

"Miraculous Ladybug/Primrose!" We both chant as I shoot arrows mid-air and she tosses the bag of salt into the sky. Purple rose petals and ladybugs fly across the city, thawing it from the icy mess.

"Pound it!"

---

I jump down the ice rink and run into the bathroom before transforming back. Seven floats tiredly onto my hands and I pop a regular blueberry into her mouth.

"Good job, Seven..." I pat her head and place her inside my bag pocket filled with an assortment of berries and nuts.

I walk out of the stall and head to the rink.

"(Y/N)!" Luka gasps and skates towards me. I skate towards him. "Luka!" He pulls me into a short hug with his eyes filled with worry. "Where were you? I was scared you were frozen too!"

"You see...I got stuck in the bathroom! But I'm fine! What about you? Are you okay?" I ask as I look at him for any injuries. He shakes his head, "We were able to hide before Frozer...you know, 'froze' us..."

"We?"

"Yeah, me and-" Luka points to Kagami just as Adrien walks out of the locker rooms.

"Kagami! Are you alright?!" The blonde boy rushes to the girl. I watch them with a sour feeling but then turn to Luka with a blank smile.

"Let's go change..." I say and drag him towards the locker rooms where we swap our skates with our shoes. Adrien and Kagami do the same and we all walk out together.

"Wait." Adrien stops in his tracks and then walks towards the ice rink coach with Kagami, taking a selfie and posting it on his social media.

"Now you won't need to wait for registrations any sooner." He says casually and waves at him goodbye just as his and Kagami's car arrives.

Luka and I have small talk with the coach who seems apologetic for being so upfront and forceful to us. His name's Phillipe, a nice eccentric guy who's in love with skating.

I watch as Kagami gives a loving kiss on Adrien's cheek before entering her car making me clench my teeth.

"(Y/N)?" Luka pulls me out of my daze.

"Huh? What?"

"I was just asking whether you wanted a ride home." He says but then he looks towards Adrien who sees Kagami off. He sighs, "You should know that bottling everything inside you and waiting for something you can take for yourself can be painful. I don't think you deserve someone who hurts you but you can still talk to him."

"What do you mean?"

"Talk to him." He says as he pats my head. "Before he slips away completely."

I look at the blue-haired guy in front of him as a warm feeling implodes in me before going in to hug him.

"What did I do to deserve you, Luka? I owe you a lot." I say as I pull away. "Thank you."

I turn on my heels to speed towards Adrien who's about to enter his car.

"A-Adrien!" I call out and he turns to me before closing the colour opened by him just a second ago.

"(Y/N)? What's wrong?"

"Can we talk?" I ask him with pleading eyes. He turns to his bodyguard who looks at me and then his watch before holding up five fingers.

Five minutes.

I nod and then turn to Adrien, "I take it that the date went well?" I ask. He lets out a deep sigh and rubs the back of his neck.

"I don't know. She was kinda mad that I came after you..." He says and by all means, I'm not surprised.

"Figures." I mutter as we take short steps away from the car. "Today was great." I smile recalling the ice-skating adventure we had before.

"You looked like you were having so much fun with Luka." He says which makes me chuckle.

"Luka's a good friend. He saw me moping around and helped me with my day."

"He is."

As we're a litte ways ahead of the bodyguard, I muster up the courage to ask him what my gut told me to say.

"I just wanted to...well...ask you if you're up for a..."

...a date. That's what I want to ask.

I observe his eyes as they flicker. He looks at me with innocent eyes filled with curiosity at what I'm about to say.

After a moment of me not being able to talk, I sigh deeply before lifting my head to meet his gaze, "Would you like to hang out together sometime? I know your dad might say no, I mean he always does, but think of it this way! It's just a friend giving you a tour of Paris! You haven't really known the joy of walking down a street in Paris, have you?" I ask with a look only to surmise a strand of hope within me.

He shakes his head and waits for me to continue.

"Then how about I show you what a great city Paris can be if you'd like?" I suggest as if it's the best I can offer.

"You mean just the two of us?" He asks. When he says it that way, my heart flips and then I clench my teeth.

"Yeah?"

I watch as the expression on his face changes into an indecipherable one.

"Is that...bad?" I ask but then his lips turn into a wide smile and he holds my hand, "No! That's awesome!" His eyes adorn excitement which fills me with delight at it.

We hear a low grunt from his bodyguard which signal that the time is up. I look at Adrien with a smile reaching my eyes. He returns it with the same before turning towards the car.

"Thank you, (Y/N)..." He says, "I'll call you when my schedule's cleared!"

"O-Okay! See you in class tomorrow!" I wave as he enters his car and drives off. I feel my legs tremble under me in ecstasy.

---

"HAHA!"

I hear fits of laughter from the other end of the call. Marinette and Alya scream in disbelief at what I told them.

"You're joking, girl! The (Y/N) I know doesn't have the guts to ask Adrien out!" Alya says which makes me glare into space.

"Hey."

"Technically, it's not a date. It's a 'hangout'." Marinette clears out which does make me nod.

"That doesn't matter! What does matter is that I get to let Adrien out of this suffocating—probably claustrophobic—house of his! I'm doing him a favour!"

"Girl." Alya chimes. "Is taking Adrien out of his dreaded home the only thing you want~?" I could hear the sly tone in her voice.

"That depends what you're asking for~" I giggle as the both of them chortle at my comment.

After probably an hour of talking, we decide to call it a day. With our last goodbyes, I hang up the phone and stretch my arms fro sitting too long.

I walk out of the room to the balcony and then lean against the bannister as my eyes search the area. Somewhere inside me hoped that I would've gotten a friendly visit from the cat in black leather as he had done previous nights before but he isn't here. I sigh returning to my room before I catch something out of place.

A note on the lounge which leaves me confused because I swear just a few hours ago it wasn't there. I grab it and analyse it carefully, noting that the handwriting feels very familiar.

Hey, (Y/N).
It's the cat you're always frightened of ;)
I've been doing a lot of thinking about which flower I wanted to plant in the next pot. But then I came to realise that the flower I cherish the most hasn't withered beyond restoration yet and want to keep nurturing the plant for as long as I can. Sure I may forget to water the plant sometimes or change the soil whatever you call it. But although I keep on failing, I'll still keep trying until I succeed. I'm sorry I didn't get to talk to you about this in person but as a superhero, I'm always pressed for time and hope that you are well. I can't wait to see you again soon, stranger. Maybe we can talk about the boy you like next time.
-Cat Noir.

A smile spreads across my face and a tender feeling burst within me.

"Silly cat," I mutter to myself as I gaze at it. Soon, I enter my room once again and place the note inside the drawer where I keep my most prized possessions.

"He's not a quitter, that's for sure..." Seven says as she hovers around me whilst I sit on my chair with my thoughts drifted to Adrien.

"What about you, (Y/N)?"

"Huh?"

"What are you going to do about your withered rose?" Seven smirks and then I look towards the vase where Cat Noir's rose is placed with a smile on my face.

"I think I'll restore it..." I say as I turn to her.

"Are you sure?" She asks as she hovers above me with a quirked eyebrow.

"If Cat Noir can do that, I sure can too!"

She groans when I say that, "It's like you two were made for each other..."

I glare at her, "What's that?"

"Nothing."

I let out a small giggle and turn to pull out a picture of Adrien from his commercial. A familiar ecstasy grows within me and my mind fills with thoughts of him.

Even though you might have eyes for someone else, I'll still cherish you and love you no matter what.

End Chapter.
