study date

"Kevin Danners, FBI open up!" Morgan called into the unsub's house. When he didn't answer, Morgan kicked down the door, and Spencer, Rossi, and JJ filed in, guns drawn. This case was solved rather quickly, Danners wasn't very good at covering his tracks.

"He's going out back!" Rossi called.

Spencer shared a look with Rossi and they took off towards the back door in an attempt to catch up with the unsub. The two rounded a corner but were stopped when Danners knocked Spencer in the head with his gun barrel knocking him unconscious. Rossi fired his gun hitting Danners in the chest. He slumped over, dead.

Spencer sat up very groggy, his head pounding. He turned around to see the unsub lying dead next to him.

"You okay kid?" Rossi asked Spencer helping him up. "You're going to have to get looked at by medical, you'll probably need stitches."

"Yeah, I'll be fine Rossi," Spencer answered, blinking his eyes trying to get rid of his pounding headache.

He went to the ambulance and got his wound fixed up, nothing he hasn't had before. The team met back at the airport and flew back to Quantico. When everyone boarded the jet Spencer took his seat in the back of the plane and texted Lexie.

Spencer

Hey. I'm flying back to Quantico now, do you want to meet up after I land?

Lexie smiled at the text, she was in the middle of studying and was very bored. Spencer could definitely make things more interesting. She texted him back.

Lexie

Meet me at my apartment, all my study stuff is already here. I'll order take-out too.

Spencer replied with a smile, he was really looking forward to seeing Lexie again. Especially in a more relaxed setting, rather than a fancy dinner. The plane landed in the Quantico airport and Spencer packed up his things rather quickly and shot his team a quick 'goodbye' before leaving to go to Lexie's.

"What's the kid up to?" Derek asked, confused looking at the team who were gathered in the bullpen still.

"He has a date," Rossi says smiling. "But none of you know that." He added, winking at the team.

"Pretty boy's got a date." Derek scoffed. The rest of the team looked at each other surprised, Spencer Reid wasn't one for dates.

Spencer knocked on Lexie's door with nerves and excitement filling his body. Lexie opened the door with a huge smile on her face. She was wearing a big gray Harvard t-shirt with pajama pants, her feet bare. Her hair was pulled into a bun on top of her head with lots of baby hairs sticking out on the sides.

"Hello, Dr. Reid." She greeted him, "Welcome to be humble abode." She opened the door father enough so he could walk in.

"Wait, what happened?" She asked, putting her fingers on his forehead, examining the wound.

"Are you okay?" She asked, very concerned.

"It's fine Lex, an unsub hit me with a gun barrel. I'm good." He smiled, grabbing her wrist and taking her finger off his face, intertwining his fingers with hers.

"Did you get it checked out? Do you have a concussion? Did you ice it?" The doctor in Lexie coming out.

"I was checked out by the medic Doctor Grey, I am A-Ok." He laughed, she rolled her eyes walking into the apartment, holding his hand still.

Her apartment is just what he expected. decorations minimum, lots of different stools and chairs to sit in, one big couch, and a tv in the living room. A joint kitchen and small dining room, the dining table covered with studying supplies, and the kitchen tidy. A hallway with three doors that Spencer assumed was bedrooms and a bathroom. What Spencer thought was the most interesting about the apartment was that it was very clean, but felt very homey and inviting.

"I hope you like Chinese, I'm not one for pizza." Lexie laughed and brought him into the kitchen to sit at the bar.

"I love Chinese food." Spencer smiled at Lexie. She looked so adorable sitting eating her noodles and vegetables, he couldn't help but laugh a little.

"What are you laughing at?" Lexie looked up at him laughing as well.

"Just admiring you." Spencer shrugged and ate his food. Lexie shook her head in response, her face glowing a bright red.

The two finished their dinner and moved to the dining table to start studying. Lexie was brilliant, she knew everything Spencer asked. He didn't understand why she even needed to study, but every time Spencer brought it up she always said she needed the practice. Caroline came home around 11:30, making quite the entrance.

"God Lexie, why did we decide to be doctors? I don't think I've ever been so tired. I hope that Spencer sleeps with you so one of us can have some energy." She turns around from locking the door and makes eye contact with Spencer, dropping her bag when she realizes her mistake.

"Caroline I hate you," Lexie said smacking her face into her palm.

"I-I'm so sorry Lex. Nice to meet you Spencer, please ignore me." Caroline scuffled away to her bedroom, her face bright red.

"Yes, please ignore her." Lexie sighed. Spencer was laughing so hard his stomach hurt. Lexie smacked his arm, obviously embarrassed.

"Hey, I think we've done enough studying for tonight, movie? I have popcorn!" She smiled brightly up at Spencer.

"Sounds great," Spencer said standing up from the table and meeting her in the kitchen.

She was standing in front of the microwave waiting for the popcorn to finish popping. Spencer doesn't know what came over him, but he wrapped his arms around her waist and laid his head on her shoulder, feeling warm and fuzzy inside.

Lexie froze for a second but quickly relaxed into Spencer's arms. She turned around so her chest met his. She put her head on his shoulder since he was bent down. She pulled the hug tighter, grabbing onto his shirt like someone was trying to take him away. Spencer held her tightly, both too afraid to lose someone again.

They were unfortunately interrupted by the sound of the microwave telling the two the popcorn they both forgot about was ready. Lexie slowly pulled away looking into Spencer's eyes. She never wanted to be away from him. She eventually poured the popcorn into a big bowl and the two got comfortable on the couch, lexie leaning on Spencer with her legs tucked under her. Spencer's arm wrapped tightly around Lexie's small body and the bowl of popcorn in this lap.

Halfway through the movie, Spencer looked down to find Lexie snoring softly on his side. Spencer chuckled and put the bowl on the coffee table in front of the couch. He turned off the tv and laid a blanket across him and Lexie. He shuffled down so that his head was leaning against the arm of the couch and Lexie's head was on his chest, Spencer placed a small kiss on her forehead and fell asleep himself, right where he wanted to be.
