I only feel myself

When I am on cloud 9

With Bacardi by my side

I only feel happy

When I take a shot from this rum

I can finally speak out my opinion

And enjoy myself in this fake world

Sorry for disappointing you

But this is the real me

An alcoholic that is happy being numb

Where I can be free and be myself

Pretty pathetic right?

Goodbye to the old me

And welcome the new me

The one that wants to try new things

And doesn't want to be afraid anymore

The one that wants to speak their mind

But also be wise

I am not a completely lost

But I can for sure say

Bacardi had taught me many things

And has helped me believe in others

It isn't healthy for me

Yet, my mental state says otherwise

I decided not to post this on Instagram since I wrote this last month when I thought consuming myself in alcohol was going to help. Now, I have learned that is not the case and I have stopped this bad habit :)
