Chapter 7 - Just friends

Charlotte's POV

I smashed my lips against his lips while riding him. Nathan grabbed my hips, accelerating my pace while our tongues were dancing in pleasure.

I gripped his hair tightly as I felt close. Nathan squeezed my breast, kissing my neck, and wrapped his arm around my waist while thrusting into me roughly. I shouted his name out like a mantra and came, collapsing onto his chest.

After a few thrusts, he followed me and came inside me. He buried his neck into the hollow of my neck, panting while holding me against him firmly.

Once Nathan left, I checked my emails and changed my clothes. I had a photoshoot in two hours, but I was going to go to the agency before it. I had to sign some documents there.

When I was about to leave, the security guard informed me that I had a visitor. It was Lucca. After telling the security guard to let him in, I started pacing back and forth nervously and ruffled my hair.

I gulped anxiously as Lucca walked in; he looked furious. He gave me a death glare as soon as he saw me and approached me in quick steps.

"What are you trying to do?" He barked, fuming.

"I don't understand what you are talking about, Lucca." I said innocently.

He frowned and ran his hand through his hair. "Lottie, stop pretending! Do you think that throwing girls into my arms will make us forget what happened?" He snapped, full of anger and disappointment in his eyes.

I breathed deeply, walking away, and folded my arms over my chest, looking through the bay window. "I didn't throw any girl into your arms, Lucca." I corrected him.

"Really?!" He mocked and grabbed my arm, turning me towards him. I bit my lower lip, averting my gaze. He cupped my chin, lifting my head up, and let our eyes meet. "Just stop it. Don't give her false hopes. I don't love her. You know it very well." He stated firmly as sadness crossed his features.

I nibbled my lower lip as I took a few steps away and sighed sadly. "Lucca, I didn't give her hopes. Nicole likes you. She insisted that I helped her. I agreed to help her about it just once. And I didn't throw her into your arms as you claim. She asked my advice about her style and I helped her. Nothing more."

He shook his head and gave me a fake smirk. "Don't you think you are the latest person who should help her in this situation?" He asked sarcastically and stormed out without letting me say anything.

I heaved a deep sigh, closing my eyes, and sat down on the couch. I ruffled my hair, depressed and held my head in my hands.

"Damn it!" I exhaled loudly, standing up, and grabbed my bag. Then I left the penthouse; I needed to get some fresh air.

I was sipping my Martini while waiting for Nathan at Stardust. He went to his office to talk on the phone. He had been strange the last few days. When I asked if he was fine, he said everything was good.

A few minutes later, he came back and wrapped his arms around my waist.

"Are you okay?" I asked, worried as I saw his expression. He looked preoccupied.

"Yeah." He heaved a deep sigh and gave me a slight smile before kissing my lips.

"Hey!" Lucca greeted us as he approached us.

Nathan shook his hand, giving him a friendly smile. I greeted him with a nod and sipped my drink, averting my gaze.

I heaved a deep sigh, ruffling my hair, and checked my email. Alexis' assistant sent me the details of my next campaign. Meanwhile, Nathan and Lucca were talking about Lucca's next race.

When my eyes met Lucca's eyes, he gave me a cold glare and finished his whiskey in a sip. He had been drinking since he arrived.

"Excuse me. I have to pick up my phone." Nathan said as his phone rang. Then he went towards his office as he picked up his phone.

"Are you back together?" Lucca asked dryly.

"Yes." I mumbled and sipped my drink.

He forced a smile. "Congratulations. I understand now why you helped Nicole and tried to get rid of me. After all, she is your boyfriend's sister. Killing two birds with one stone. Huh?!" He mocked sarcastically, full of sadness in his eyes.

"Lucca!" I hisses in disbelief. "Don't talk nonsense. Do you really think so low of me?"

He smirked sarcastically. "Me? Are you sure?" Lucca asked huskily, closing the distance between us. "I wish I would think about you badly, but it is far from it, Lottie." He added honestly.

I breathed deeply, ruffling my hair, and stated firmly, taking a step back. "Nicole asked me a favor, and I helped her because she is my friend, nothing more."

"And me? What am I to you?" He asked huskily, looking into my eyes as he closed the distance between us again.

"Lucca... You know very well you are my friend too." I sighed, shaking my head.

He chucked mockingly and heaved a deep sigh. "But I don't want to be just your friend anymore." He confessed, looking into my eyes, and cupped my cheek.

I pulled away and folded my arms over my chest. "Lucca, please."

"Lottie, why don't you understand that I love you? I have always loved you. It broke my heart again and again every time I saw you with him. And when I thought I finally had a chance with you, you took away my hope. Why don't you give me a chance?" He pleaded.

"Please, Lucca. I have always loved Nathan, and that...night... It was wrong. It shouldn't have happened." I said uneasily and ruffled my hair, sipping my dress.

He gave me a fake smile as sadness crossed his features. "You may think it was a mistake, but for me it was a dream come true. I remember every second of that night." He confessed, cupping my cheek while looking into my eyes, his gaze intense.

"Lucca, please..."I sighed, pulling away. He looked at me gloomily and finished his drink in a sip.

I gulped nervously as I noticed Nicole walking into the nightclub. I instantly put enough distance between Lucca and me.

"Nicole is coming." I warned Lucca, giving him a begging look as Nicole was approaching us.

He frowned in irritation and stormed away. I heaved a loud sigh, ruffling my hair, and finished my drink.

"Where did Lucca go?" Nicole asked, confused.

"I don't know. He received an important message and left quickly." I lied nervously and nibbled my lower lip.

"Nicole? What are you doing here?" Nathan asked, surprised as he approached us and rested his hand on my lower back.

"I am meeting up with my friends here. They are about to arrive." Nicole replied nervously.

Nathan nodded and turned towards me. "If you don't mind, can we leave? I am tired." Nathan suggested, running his hand through his hair.

"Sure. Let's go." I grabbed my clutch, and we walked towards the exit as he wrapped his arms around my waist after saying goodbye to Nicole.

As soon as we left the nightclub, the flashes hit our eyes.

"Damn it!" Nathan mumbled under his breath as he saw the paparazzi while they were asking questions about our relationship.

The security guards approached us instantly and helped us to get in Nathan's car, pushing the paparazzi away from us.

I breathed deeply as we got in his car. The driver started it instantly and drove away.

"Tomorrow we will be in the magazines." I commented, shaking my head, and sighed.

"Yeah." He hissed between gritted teeth and ran his hand through his hair.

Suddenly, his phone buzzed. He pulled it out of his pocket and read it. His jaw clenched while he was staring at his phone.

"What happened? Who is it?" I asked, puzzled.

"Nothing." He mumbled and put it into his pocket. Then Nathan gave me a slight smile as he held my hand. He placed our entwined hands on his thigh and looked through the window, lost in his thoughts.

I left Nathan's suite before he woke up. I had a photoshoot early this morning.

When we finished, I went to change my clothes and checked my phone. There were a lot of missing calls and messages from my family, friends and journalists. I frowned and searched my name on the Internet. Probably, it was because of Nathan and my photo from last night.

I sighed, ruffling my hair as I saw the news about us.

Golden couple?

The heir's unforgettable love

They even found out about our past relationship. I heaved a sigh and read the article.

It seems the young heir, Nathan Carter didn't forget his ex, a model, Charlotte Wright. They were spotted leaving the nightclub, Stardust, owned by the heir himself. The couple looked so in love.

By the way, the beautiful model is the daughter of the well-known billionaire, Asher Wright.

A source close to the couple mentioned that the golden couple dated in high school and broke up after dating for a few years.

As I was about to leave, someone called me. It was my father. I took a deep breath and picked up the call.
