Chapter 21 - Worry

Charlotte's POV

I was pacing back and forth in my living room while waiting for Nathan. He sent me a message, informing me he was on the way.

I breathed deeply as the elevator door opened and Nathan walked in, talking on the phone heatedly.

As soon as he hung up, he gave me his charming smile and approached me.

"Hey, princess." He said, hugging me, and placed a soft kiss on my hair.

I placed my hands on his chest and pushed him back. He sighed and ran his and through his hair as I folded my arms over my chest, looking at him coldly.

"You arrived early." I commented dryly.

"Yes, I took a chopper." He informed and sat down on the couch, loosening his tie. He looked exhausted.

"Why?" I asked, confused, furrowing my eyebrows. Nathan never took a chopper when he visited me in my penthouse.

"I didn't want anyone to follow me and see me walking into your penthouse." He replied, leaning against the couch.

"Why? Did anyone forbid you to see me? Or you are afraid my father insists that we get married if you get caught visiting me in my penthouse." I said sarcastically and rolled my eyes as I approached him.

He breathed deeply, bored and grabbed my wrist, pulling me towards him. I wanted to pull my hand away, but he tightened his grip and pulled me into his lap. He tightened his arms around me and kissed my temple.

"I like you when you are angry. You look so sexy." He said in my ear huskily and flashed a naughty smirk.

"Nathan!" I exclaimed angrily and wanted to get up, but he didn't let me.

"Calm down, Lottie. I will explain." He said and buried his head into my neck, breathing in my scent.

I breathed deeply and stopped struggling, letting him say what he wanted.

"This morning, I received an anonymous envelope; there were your photos inside it. They were following you." He informed and gritted his teeth angrily, still holding me against him firmly.

"What?!" I exclaimed, shocked.

"Because of it, I sent Thomas to provide your security." He resumed, cupping my cheek, full of worry in his eyes, and stroked my cheek tenderly. "I won't let anything happen to you because of me."

"But why are they following me? I don't even know who they are. You are still hiding their identity." I ruffled my hair, confused.

"Because you are my girlfriend. Thanks to the paparazzi the whole country knows we are dating." He added, irritated, emphasizing the words the paparazzi.

I nibbled my lower lip without knowing what to say while thinking. He breathed deeply and turned my head towards him by grabbing my chin, making me face him.

"So please don't object. And let Thomas protect you. Otherwise, I couldn't stop worrying about your safety." He added softly, giving me a begging look.

"Fine." I sighed, ruffling my hair as I knew refusing wouldn't change anything; when Nathan decided to do something, no one could change his mind. Even if I refused, he would make Thomas follow me secretly.

He gave me a bright smile and placed a chaste kiss on my lips. "Thank you." He breathed deeply in relief.

"But why didn't you let me visit you in the hotel?" I asked, puzzled, furrowing my eyebrows

"It will be better if we stop seeing each other till I solve my problem with them. I want them to think we broke up." He replied firmly.

"What?!" I exclaimed in shock.

"I want them to leave you alone, Lottie. They will keep following you or try to hurt you if they know we are still dating." He explained sadly and stroked my hair gently.

"No, Nathan! Yes, I accepted when you asked me to let Thomas be my bodyguard, but now it is different. I don't want to stay away from you. No!" I stated in panic and hugged him tightly. "I don't care who those guys are. Please stay with me. Don't push me away. It is unbearable." I begged as my eyes welled up.

"Lottie, it is just for a few weeks." He said softly, caressing my hair tenderly.

"No, Nathan. Please don't insist on this nonsense." I shook my head as sadness and fear filled my heart, and I pulled back slightly.

He sighed and nodded. "It would be unbearable for me too, princess. You give me strength. Staying away from you would be a real torture, but it was for your safety." Nathan admitted honestly, cupping my cheek.

"Then don't push me away." I commented firmly and brushed my lips against his lips, kissing him feverishly.

I started unbuttoning his shirt slowly while his hands were roaming my body, setting me on fire.

After getting rid of his suit jacket and shirt, I started placing soft kisses on his chest. Meanwhile, he was trying to unzip my dress. Then he grabbed a handful of my hair, pulling me towards him and smashed his lips against mine.

He took off my dress, placing several kisses on my neck, shoulder and between my breasts while he was caressing my thigh. I moaned as he squeezed my breast over my lace bra and unclasped my bra with one hand skillfully.

When I was trying to unbuckle his belt, my phone rang.

"Your phone?" He mumbled between his groans as I started stroking his manhood over his boxer.

"Just ignore it." I stated and smashed my lips against his lips, kissing him feverishly.

He wrapped his arm around my waist, pulling me up slightly, and pulled his pants and boxer down, freeing his hard cock.

In a flash, he grabbed my panties and ripped it, making me gasp. Without waiting a second, he penetrated me. I moaned, gripping his shoulders, as he started moving in and out.

I buried my head into the hollow of his neck, trying to silence my moans as much as possible when my phone rang again, but I ignored it again, focusing on my magician who was blowing my mind.

I dug my nails into his flesh as my walls tightened around his throbbing member and came, screaming his name out. He followed me and came inside me, squeezing my hips tightly, and buried his head into my chest.

We were trying to control our breaths in each other's arms when his phone rang. I frowned in irritation; tonight our phones didn't stop ringing over and over.

He wrapped his arm around my waist tightly, pulling me up, and placed me on the couch before picking up his phone, annoyed.

His expression changed as soon as he picked up the phone.

"Damn it!" He exclaimed angrily and ran his hand through his disheveled hair.

Once he hung up his phone, it buzzed.

"What is going on?" I asked, worried, leaning towards him.

He ignored my question and tapped on his phone. I frowned and looked at his phone.

"Shit!" I exclaimed as I saw the video about today's incident.

I grabbed my phone instantly and checked it; there were several messages and missing calls from my parents, Romeo and Sienna.

Nathan stood up immediately while cursing under his breath and put on his clothes quickly. I placed my phone on the couch beside me and started putting on my bra and dress.

Suddenly, his phone rang again. He gulped as he looked at the phone.

"Who is it?" I asked anxiously and ruffled my hair.

"Dad." He took a deep breath and picked up the call.

I was trying to calm my parents down while Nathan was talking to his father, pacing back and forth, rubbing his forehead.

After ending the call, I sent messages to Romeo and Sienna, informing them that we were fine.

Nathan heaved a loud sigh, hanging up his phone, and ran his hand through his hair, closing his eyes. When I approached him, his phone rang again.

"Who is it now?" I asked, caressing his arm gently.

"My grandpa." He replied and picked up the phone.

I was leaning against the couch while waiting for Nathan to end the call. Meanwhile, he was looking through the window while talking to his grandfather on the phone.

"I have to go. Dad asked me to come to the mansion quickly." Nathan informed after hanging up the phone and approached me.

I nodded as sadness filled my heart. I thought he would stay with me tonight.

"Be careful! And don't leave home if it isn't important." He said firmly, cupping my cheek.

"Fine." I mumbled, nodding, and sighed.

He gave me his charming smile while I felt worry in his eyes.

"Be careful, please." I said, concerned, resting my hand on top of his hand on my cheek.

He nodded, smiling slightly, and placed a soft kiss on my forehead before leaving.

"Are you okay? Did anything happen to you? I saw the news about the gunshot." He asked, concerned, approaching me.
