Dong Hua

Her eyes are soulless, there's not even a single sight of the brownness that I love, her Phoenix flower that I adored so much was smeared in darkness.
Her wrists were hurt and you could see the scars on her body underneath the short dress she was wearing, there wasn't any joy left I got close to her but she put her sword against my throat. "XiaoBai." I whispered, she stared at me. "XiaoBai?" She questioned blankly. "You killed her!" I heard a patronising voice and laugh and when I came in focus, she was laying on the ground bleeding. Blood was on my hands and she laid still unmoving. "See I told you, I would kill what you love." I picked up the still body and I screamed.

I screamed myself awake and when I opened my eyes XiaoBai was looking at me worriedly. "Dijiun, what's wrong? Why are you crying? I have been trying to wake you for the past two hours." I felt the tears stream down my face. "Nothing, it was just a bad dream." She laid on my chest. "I was worried that you were being attacked again." I smiled. " You were worried that I was being attacked?" She nodded her head. "You once fought with that evil spirit from the Nether but in your sleep, and I felt helpless cause I didn't know what to do so I thought that the same thing was happening again." I kissed her forehead. "Don't worry so much about me XiaoBai, XiaoBai we need to go cultivating again the impact the ring had on you lowered your cultivation." She groaned. "Do we have too?" She asked cutely and I laughed then she frowned. "What is it?" I asked softly but she shook her head, and she sighed. "It's nothing." She was still frowning and then she burst out crying. "XiaoBai?" She put back her head on my chest and she remained quiet after sometime she spoke. "I don't want to lose you, every time I am scared that something will happen to you, I have been constantly checking if you're awake, breathing and still here." I sat up along with her. "You don't have to worry about anything XiaoBai, I don't want you to get sick. You're still too young for this much stress, I promise you I am not going anywhere." She sighed. "Dijiun can I go to Wan Xue?" She said softly. "Don't kill him." I whispered and she laughed and then she gave me a kiss.

XiaoBai

I wish time could stand still and the days to slow down, so I could see the streaks of love left by the man that I love and live in those moments forever.

Time should stop so I can feel the warmth of his heart and can feel it reflected in my own heart, I want to feel his warmth all over my body.
The amount of love I feel or the amount love I have for him is so much stronger than before, and nothing will change that.

I am hurt by Wan Xue's actions but I am more angry then ever, when I left heaven instead of going to find Wan Xue's and beating up his ass I went to the Ice realm. Fangsu was talking animatedly to Yang Yang's Godfather. "When was the last time you saw Jui're?" He asked softly. "It's been a while." She replied and I frowned, why is she lying I thought to myself. "I guess this place really does remind her of Yang Yang." She nodded her head. "It's okay though, I will always be here to take care of this place." She said as she looked around. " I just hope that she will come around, this is hers after all." He said softly. "She has  been busy with Dijiun, I will send a message for her but you should know it's very difficult for her to leave his side." Something dark flashed in Yang Yang's Godfather's eyes. "Fangsu I don't like people who give inaccurate information, I really don't like people who betray my trust." I said as I made myself known, she squeaked  but Yang's Godfather smiled at me. "You're finally here." He pulled me into a bear hug. "I was worried that you have abandoned this place." He whispered softly. "How could I abandon this place, it's the closest thing I have to Yang Yang, this place is literally my heart." He looked at me strangely, then Chen came running towards me. "Mother! You're back so soon." He exclaimed and squealed in delight and I laughed. "Did you bring sweets?" He put out his little hands so that I can pick him up. "Chen I gave you a full box of sweets yesterday, why do you want more today?" I asked softly and he made a funny face. "Grandfather ate them and said they too good for a child." Chen's grandfather was the God of Light, I laughed. "Mother don't laugh it's not funny." He put his little fingers on my face. "I will make you some sweets but this time you must hide them from Grandfather okay?" He nodded his head, then I sighed. "I didn't even get a kiss today yet you want me to make sweets for you." He chuckled softly. "Mother I'm too old for kissy." He said cutely and I burst out laughing nonetheless he kissed my cheek. "Mother I have to go practice now, otherwise Grandfather will come yelling. Mother we made a remembrance tomb for father, yesterday we noticed that you missed him very much." He gave me another kiss and he ran away. "Why does he call you mother?" Fangsu asked. "Yang Yang never allowed anyone to address him as King instead he preferred being called Father, and because jui're was always around him they figured that she must be called Mother." Yang Yang's Godfather explained. "Fangsu why are you still here? I have asked you so many times to leave." Yang Yang's Godfather looked at me. "Why are you chasing her away, I thought you liked the fact that she was here." I shook my head. "She has her own duties in heaven but she's always here, I fear that she thinks that this place belongs to her. She was already lying to you about me because she wanted you to be mad at me, I really keep people who are like that by side." Fangsu looked at me. "Oh give me a break Fengjiu, you can't make up your mind on whether you love Dong Hua or the fact that you love Yang Yang, you keep going back and forth like a little bitch." Godfather's face turned puce and he was about reprimand her but I stopped him. "Fangsu I am not the who's in love with my own brother and trying seek validation too, you might have been with Yang Yang when he died but that doesn't mean you knew a single thing about him, you are entitled to anything in realm and I am not going back and forth, I have always loved Yang Yang and I will always carry his love with me and stop pretending like you understand my love for Yang Yang or my love for Dijiun, stay away from things that don't concern you." She looked spooked out. "XiaoJiu, calm down." Godfather whispered. "Don't ever mention Yang Yang's name again." Godfather grabbed my hand and turned me towards, he looked startled and he wiped my nose. "You're so sick, what is happening to you?" As he asked that before I could answer him, I blacked out.

When I opened my eyes I was laying down on Yang Yang's bed, I was by myself. I sat up slowly but a sharp pain shot through my heart and I stopped breathing for a moment. "XiaoJiu you're awake." I heard Godfather's gentle voice. "What happened?" I asked and he looked away from me. "XiaoJiu you're very sick, why didn't you tell me?" He looked at me and there was pain in his eyes. "It's okay, I'm okay." I whispered softly. "Yang Yang said the same thing, I won't lose you too. You're like my very own daughter don't you know that, do your parents at least know?" He asked and I shook my head. "Please don't say anything, I will tell them when I'm ready." He looked at me and he gave me a broken smile. "I will trust you, just this once." He said and he left the room quietly.

I got off bed as I went to check on everything around the palace and my people, when I was satisfied I went to Qingqiu. My parents were arguing as always, mother was so stubborn and father didn't like giving in that's why their arguments lasted more than they should. "You two need to be kinder towards each other." I said as I entered the fox cave. "Fengjiu!" Mother exclaimed excitedly but her smile fell when she saw me. "XiaoJiu why do you look so weak?" She asked worriedly and I smiled. "I have been training too much." I lied, she frowned but then her smile came back up. " I am glad you remembered that you have a home." Father teased and I laughed. "Looks like I got here in time too." I eyed mother and she snorted. "It's not my fault." She defended herself. "I didn't say anything, besides you start most of the arguments with father but I'm staying out of this, I just wanted to see my parents." Father frowned. "Is everything okay Jui're?" He asked and I nodded my head. "Everything is alright, I just wanted to be in your presence." He smiled at me and then my Uncle came in. "XiaoJiu is here! And I don't get informed." He whined and I laughed. "I was going to pass by the peach groove but you're here now." He pulled me into his arms and he hugged me but when he pulled away from me, he looked startled and haunted I shook my head at him and he fixed his face. "Well I would love to stay here and chat but I have other duties I need to do." My parents smiled at me, I hugged them and kissed them both. "Come back soon." Father said softly and I nodded my head then I walked out with my uncle following behind me. "You're sick and you don't even say!" He yelled at me but I kept quiet. "XiaoJiu what's happening to you? How did you get so severely sick?" He tried to grab my hand but I took a step back from him. "Uncle I am fine, you're making a big deal out of nothing." He frowned at me. "Your heart says otherwise." He was about to argue. "Give me sometime and I will explain things to you." Worry lines formed on his face but he nodded nonetheless and I went to look for Wan Xue.

Arriving at the forbidden realm, Wan Xue was sitting on the hill eating fruit. "It must be nice." I said gently and his hand paused mid air. "I didn't think that the person I trusted dearly would betray me like that, not after all that we have been through together but I guess you don't value me as I thought you did." He turned around and looked at me. "You shouldn't be here." He whispered softly. "Wow that's all you have to say to me, after you put a sword against my throat. You are as evil as they come aren't you, you forgot your words to me the promises you made me meant nothing to you! I guess Kai and Wang Shu finally got to you." He walked slowly towards me until he was standing in front of me. "Leave." He whispered softly. "If it were another person I would have been angry, furious even I would have tore this place down but because it's you and I care about you I will let you be, Wan Xue I hope that it was worth it." I coughed and I felt my nose bleed. "XiaoJiu."  He said in a panicked voice, he reached out to touch me but I took a step back. "Don't touch me, I thought you had forgotten my name but it seems that you know exactly who I am." I felt light-headed. "Dijiun." I whispered softly. "Fine I set you free, you and I are enemies from this day onwards there is nothing that ties me to you and there is nothing that ties you to me, whatever bond we had it is broken never to be repaired again." I was  heaving badly and I got on my knees as I vomitted blood. "XiaoJiu, please let me help you." I looked at him. "I don't want your help." Just then I felt a swift movement behind me. "XiaoBai." I heard my lovers voice. "Take me home." I whispered and he hurriedly came and picked me up. "What happened to you?" He asked with worry lines on his face but I blacked out again before I could say anything.

The darkness was so inviting, I couldn't help but follow it to where it lead me. My spirit felt so tired but I kept hearing my lovers voice interrupting my silence, Dijiun I am so tired let me rest for a little while and everything quietened down and his voice faded away as well.
