The first shots

Zhang hao third person POV

Zhang hao, though not fully intentionally, felt himself slightly withdraw from Hanbin throughout dinner. The things Hanbin had said about the members dating others had remained lingering in his mind. Had he really overanalysed what Hanbin had been doing, and it was just how the younger treated his friends? Zhang hao wasn't so sure anymore compared to how he had felt leaving the cafe.

He had sat beside Yujin and Gyuvin throughout dinner, who bickered over the winner of their game of cards. Zhang hao found himself listening to his label mates, loosening up slightly as he heard their childish arguments, reminiscent to how they had done at Yuehua, when all that was on their minds was training.

After dinner, Zhang hao had stayed back to clean up and take the drinks he had bought out to the living room, accompanied by Matthew. As the rest ran to the couches, Zhang hao got up and began to stack the plates. Though as he did so, he met eyes with Hanbin, who had a warm expression adorned to his face as he gestured to the table, asking the older if he wanted him to help. Zhang hao shook his head quickly, grabbing the plates in one hand and Matthew's wrist in the other,  tugging him to the kitchen.

Matthew had began to clean the dishes, despite Zhang hao's request to help, the older finally agreed to filter through his drinks, finding a few disposable cups in one of the cupboards.

"Hao hyung, how come we've never hung out together?"

Matthew eventually asked, a small clink of the dishes clearing the air as he hung a plate up on the rack. Zhang hao quickly turned away from the drinks towards Matthew, only to see the Canadian faced away from him and still towards the sink.

"I don't know but we should next time we have a break. "

He paused for a second as if in thought.

"And Matthew, I'm sorry I assumed the worst when I saw you and Hanbin laying together. I should of known yous would of told us otherwise"

Zhang hao mumbled his words trailing off somewhat regretful as he gently opened two sparkling apple juice cans, reminscent of cider, for their two underaged members.

"Hyung I know you are very special to Hanbin hyung. I don't mean to get between you too. He doesn't think of me the same way he does you."

The words made Zhang hao's mind race though seemed straightforward for Matthew, who hadnt even turned to face the Chinese boy once. Zhang hao felt his head begin the spin at the overload of emotion, as he tried to decipher what Matthew meant. As he sighed shaking it off, he heard rustling, meaning Matthew was finishing up. Knowing this, Zhang hao pulled out two small shot glasses, cracking the seal of the vodka.

"Matthew let's take a shot together before we go in?"

Zhang hao said with a nervous chuckle, trying to calm his nerves as he watched Matthew laugh, drying off his hands and walking closer to Zhang hao. The older passed him a shot glass and on the count of three the two swallowed it. Zhang hao grinning when he made eye contact with Matthew who had screwed his face up at the taste. The older then grabbed two cans of the non alcoholic drinks he had just opened, putting the others in the fridge alongside picking up a six pack of beers, the shot glasses and disposable cups.

Zhang hao then headed into the living room as Matthew followed, carrying as many drinks as he could. When the older arrived, his eyes avoided the gaze of a familiar Korean, as he stepped over the boys legs, leaning forward to hold out the two non alcoholic drinks for Yujin and Gunwook.

"Hyung come on. We can't even have one drink?"

He heard Gunwook whine as Zhang hao smuggly shook his head, turning back around. As he went to carefully step over Hanbin's leg's he felt a hand drape around his waist, tugging him to the couch. Zhang hao fell to Hanbin's side with a small grunt as he felt the younger let go of his waist and instead wrap a hand around his shoulder.

Zhang hao pushed down a blush, trying to suppress the butterflies growing in his chest as he met Matthew's gaze, the Canadian already grinning back at the two. Zhang hao shyly smiled in return before leaning forward and tipping two more shots. Watching as some of the others opened beers and ciders for themselves.

Once done, Zhang hao picked up the two shot glasses by the rim, turning to face Hanbin, who still had his arm wrapped around Zhang hao's shoulder. The younger took a shot glass from Zhang hao before pulling away. He grabbed the Chinese boy's bicep to pull his arm upwards before linking their arms together as he nodded and the two took the shots. As the vodka ran through Zhang hao's body, he instinctively shivered, having taken two shots in such a short period of time, it was already slightly taking effect.

Zhang hao felt his vision only slightly blur as he subconsciously leaned onto Hanbin's shoulder to stable himself. He felt the Korean's fingers trail just under the hem of his shirt before resting on the older's hip. Zhang hao's stomach turned at the action, feeling the other's warmth on his bare skin, before he shook his head, leaning forward and grabbing himself another shot. Hanbin's hand remained steadily on his hip as he moved.
