Secrets to hide

Zhang hao third person POV

When Hanbin returned a few moments later, Zhang hao kept his distance, feeling a little embarrassed as he came to the realisation of how he had acted. Though Zhang hao didn't fail to notice how Hanbin stopped clinging onto anyone else, the boy only stealing small glances at Zhang hao as if he wanted to ask him something.

"Guys, me, Yujin and Ricky were talking and we were wondering if you all would want to go to have a picnic at the lake today? As our first hang out as zb1!"

Gyuvin spoke, breaking the silence as the others all responded with a variety of hums or nods in agreement.  Zhang hao watched Gyuvin and nodded before feeling a tap on his shoulder, turning to face Ricky, eyebrows furrowed.

"Hyung I'm in charge of snacks, did you want to come get them with me? The others are going to stay back and make some sandwiches, you can stay with them if you want instead"

Zhang hao grinned at Ricky's words, stifling back a laugh as he had never heard the younger call him hyung before. He reached a hand to Ricky's shoulder.

"Of course I'll go. You've already shower right? I'll go have one now and we can leave in 20 minutes"

Zhang hao spoke reassuringly as Ricky just smiled in return, typical for the quieter boy, watching as the older quickly ate the remaining food on his plate. Once he was done he went to push his chair back, almost tripping backwards when he felt a weight on his foot, holding it in place. Zhang hao then met eyes with Hanbin who chuckled, staring right at him. Once the younger eventually let go, Zhang hao swear he saw the Hanbin wink at him, causing his ears to warm as he ran to his bedroom.

Zhang hao walked down the sweets aisle of the grocery stall alongside Ricky and Taerae, who Ricky had also convinced to come, the two boys walking on either side of the oldest. Their small shopping cart was filled with chocolates, muffins, cheese and crackers and a variety of other things. Halfway down the aisle, Taerae halted, causing the two Chinese boys to stop also, looking over at him.

"Ah we forgot to get strawberries"

Taerae exclaimed as he looked glanced between the two boys.

"It's ok hyung, we'll wait here and get the Nutella while you go grab them"

Ricky responded as Taerae quickly nodded before rushing off to go get the strawberries for them. Once the Korean had left, Zhang hao continued to walk down the aisle, Ricky trailing behind him.

"Hey, hao hyung?"

Ricky asked quietly as he caught up his pace so that they were walking next to eachother.

"Yeah?"

Zhang hao questioned as he leaned forward picking up the Nutella and placing it into their cart before turning to face Ricky. The younger was rested against the shelf, his arms crossed.

"I'm not that close to Hanbin but I noticed he was acting strange at breakfast. So I was thinking that maybe you could go talk to him and make sure he's okay? I mean I'm sure he'd love to talk to you about it, he tells you everything"

Zhang hao stood still, clearly confused as he tilted his head to the side, trying to reflect on the breakfast, blanking slightly on what had happened. When he finally remembered his cheeks darkened, coming to the conclusion that the other was referring to how Zhang hao was messing with Hanbin earlier.

"Right"

He mumbled as he pretended to pick back up the Nutella, fake reading over the label. As he attempted to cover his burning cheeks with his fringe that was clearly too short to do so.

"Are you sure that this will be enough?"

He questioned seemingly innocently as he placed that Nutella back into the trolley, avoiding making eye contact with Ricky incase the younger noticed his obvious blush.

"That's literally 3/4 of a kg of Nutella. Hyung is going to only grab like 2 punnets of strawberrys and there's only 9 of us. What's wrong with you today? Did you not sleep well or something?"

Ricky replied, jokingly shoving Zhang hao's side to tease him as he saw Taerae coming closer and took the trolley out of Zhang hao's hands, wheeling it over to catch up with the Korean that stood at the end of the aisle.

Zhang hao cursed under his breath at his weird excuse of a conversation before slowly walking up to them, pretending to glance around, interested at the shelves, to disguise his blush, lingering behind them for the small amount of shopping that was left over..
