valerie laid on her bed, hugging a pillow as her phone laid next to her on speaker, on the phone with ashtray. one of her favorite things to do was have deep conversations, talk about the future and their plans. do every time her and ashtray did, a small smile rested on her face.

she loved the fact the two of them could talk for so long and then sit in silence without feeling awkward or bored.. she honestly thought it made their relationship better. and currently, they were talking about their one month anniversary that was coming up soon.

"you know, ash, our one month is soon." valerie told him.

"yeah.. whatchu wanna do for it?" he asked.

"we can just hangout, we don't have to do anything special." valerie shrugged even thought he couldn't see it.

she was a simple person, all i took was hanging out with her favorite people, watching movies or anything so simple.. and she'd be happy.

he laughed, "i thought you'd say a date or some shit."

her smile widened, "we can do that.. but honestly we can just watch movies or something."

"ight, whatever you want." ashtray voice stayed low.

her lips pursed, her mind going blank once again and she didn't know what to say. she thought about how they had made it to one month, she wouldn't say it's surprising but... it's kind of surprising.

"we should get matching pjs." valerie commented.

"did you really just say 'pjs' ?" ashtray chuckled, making fun of her.

"yes i did." valerie rolled her eyes.

"ion wear 'pjs' val." ashtray mocked her while saying pjs.

"well you can start, we should go look for some tomorrow or the next day, and if we watch movies on our one month we can wear them."

ashtray thought it was childish, but she seemed excited about it so he wasn't going to say no. "alright."

"valerie, i'm not wearing any of these."

valerie and ashtray now stood in a store, a bunch of pajamas in front of them. every time valerie would suggest one for them to get, ashtray'd say no.

"what! these are cute?" she furrowed her eyebrows, holding hello kitty pants.

ashtrays face scrunched, and valerie rolled her eyes, going to look for different ones. she looked up at the onesies and turned to him, "what about one of these?"

but again, he shook his head no. she threw her hands down in frustration, "ash!"

he chucked, throwing his arms around her. "they are childish, val!"

she shrugged him off of her, "you're childish."

he rolled his eyes at her petty-ness, watching as she walked back over to the hello kitty ones and grabbed them. "valerie i am no-"

she cut him off, continuing to walk away and eventually reached the self check out, quickly scanning them and paying before he had the chance to take them from her.

she sarcastically smiled, holding the bag up to his face.

"i'm not wearing those." he shook his head.

"yes you are." she shrugged, grabbing his hand and swinging their arms.

the two left the store, still holding hands as they waited for fezco to come pick them up. valerie played with his fingers as she thought to herself.

"ya know, you've never been to my house." she thought out loud.

ashtray looked down at her, "going would mean i would have to meet your parents."

she smiled, "not necessarily, i can sneak you in."

his eyebrows raised, "you really think you could get away with that?"

"i know i can." she shrugged, making him chuckle. "tough guy, huh?" he mocked her.

she rolled her eyes, "buttt, you could just meet them."

he tilted his head to the side, he thought it was too soon, but smirked at the fact she wanted him to meet her parents. "it's not too soon?"

"no, a month is a long time." she shrugged.

he nodded, he liked how she thought.

eventually, fezco arrived and they climbed in his car, valerie immediately showing him what they got. fezco laughed, turning to ashtray who was mean mugging him. "you gon wear those, for real?"

"no." ashtray rolled his eyes.

"yes he is." valerie laughed with fezco.

"you think so." ashtray shook his head.

"i know so." valerie pinched him.

valerie wasn't one hundred percent serious about the whole ashtray meeting her parents thing, she wanted him to.. just didn't know how they'd react, and didn't want her mom to judge her. but as time passed and she thought about it further, what could really go wrong? even if her mom didn't like ashtray, it wouldn't change valerie's mind at all. so she sat up and looked over at ashtray, "do you wanna stay at my house tonight?.. since i always stay over here."

his eyebrows raised, "you were serious about that?"

"sort of?.." she shrugged.

he stared at her as he thought about it, and shrugged. "ight." valerie watched him stand up, put on his hoodie and then followed, putting on her shoes.

"fez is asleep." ashtray told her, and she shrugged, "we can walk."

he nodded, following behind her out the door that was in his room, it lead to the alleyway. she hugged her hoodie closer to her as the cold hit her, and walked closer to ashtray for comfort.

he eyed her, wondering if she was scared of the dark or something since she kept looking around and was walking so close to him, but didn't say nothing about it.

the walk felt short, the two making small talk so it wasn't so quiet. once they finally arrived at her house, she took a deep breathe and turned to him. "okay..."

he was more nervous than he showed, but still followed behind her to the porch and paused once she opened the door.

she peeked her head inside, seeing her dad asleep. "okay, well.. my dads asleep so, you only gotta meet my mom if she's up." she commented.

they both walked in the house, her closing the door behind them and slowing walking to her room.

"valerie?" she heard her mom yell.

she closed her eyes, stopping. "yeah!"

ashtray took a step closer to her as he heard footsteps, and eventually her mom came in his view.

"i tho- who's this?" her mom raised her eyebrows.

"my boyfriend, ash." valerie nodded, glancing at ashtray.

"uh.. hi?" ashtray nodded.

"i didn't know you had a boyfriend.." her mom looked at valerie, before turning back to ashtray. "how old are you, ash?"

valerie's lips formed to a line, shaking her head.

"fifteen." ashtray nodded again.

"hm... okay.." her mom mumbled.

"mom, can he stay the night?" valerie asked, rocking back and forth.

her mom began to say no, but sighed. "fine, but keep the door open."

"okay, thank you!" valerie quickly grabbed ashtrays arm, dragging him to her room.

even though her mom said not to, she closed the door. she hated it being open. the two sat on her bed, him looking around at how she had it decorated. there was a photo wall, and it surprised him when a picture of them was on there, from a few weeks ago.

she glanced over at him, and laid her head down on a pillow. he turned to her, taking his shoes off and then following.

she put on a movie, then moved closer to him and got comfortable. "your bed is really comfortable." he commented.

"really? i think yours is better than mine." she almost whispered, really tired.

he hummed, wrapping his arm around her.
