Chapter Twelve: Liam and Indie

{Liam's POV}

I get to take Indie on our first date today and I want it to be near perfect, because nothing is perfect. Perfection is boring. I'm called boring so I must be perfection. Joking! I sound like Zayn crossed with Louis.

Oh well.

I walk up to Indie's front door and knock. In three seconds the door opens to reveal Indie, dressed all warm like I told her to.

"Hey Liam!" She smiles before hugging me. "How are you?" She asks.

"Great thanks Indie," I reply. She giggles. I sware she laughs and giggles a lot!

"Emma! Liam's here! Good bye!" She yells, really loudly may I add, back into the house and then shuts the door.

"You've got a loud voice," I chuckle. She giggles and blushes.

"I've always been told that," she smiles.

"Well, shall we go?" I ask. She nods and I lead her to the car.

After Indie insisting she can open her own door, we're both in the car and off to the place I wanted to take her.

"Are you excited?" She asks out of the blue.

"For what?" I reply turning the corner.

"Zayn and Perrie's wedding? It's in two days!" She yells. She's very excitable but i like it. She's unique.

"Yeah! Hell yeah actually! We've only been waiting for five bloody years," I reply. She laughs. "Wanna be my plus one?" I ask turning to her.

"Pardon?" She replies a little shocked.

"Do you want to come as my plus one?" I ask again.

"Hey! That rhymed!" She laughs. "Sorry," she goes serious again. "Um, yeah. That would be nice," she smiles. "Does that make me your girlfriend?" She adds.

I chuckle. "Well, will you be my girfriend?" I ask. She gasps.

"Nope. Not until this date is over," she replies. I sigh and she laughs.

"Are you serious?" I reply.

"Yep!" She smiles. I laugh and One Thing comes on the radio.

Indie turns it up to full blast and starts singing.

I try to turn it down but she slaps my hand.

"Are you embarrased?" She asks.

"No." I mumble.

"You are! You're embarrased of your young self! That's so cute!" Indie giggles. "Don't worry! I fell in love with these five guys when What Makes You Beautiful came out," she smiles.

I turn it down on Louis' solo.

"Oh yeah! Who was your favourite?" I ask wondering. Probably Harry.

"Niall," she replies. I cough. "What's wrong with that?" She asks smirking.

"Nothing! Nothing at all. It's just people normally say Harry or Zayn or," I stop myself.

"You?" She picks out what I was going to say. I shake my head. "Yep. You're going bright red you cocky little bugger," she laughs in her Australian accent.

We arrive at the venue.

"Come on cheeky, we're here," I smile grabbing my backpack and leading her into the big park.

"What are we doing?" She asks looking around. I grab the kite out of my backpack.

"Remember these?" I ask showing her the kite.

"I had so many kites when I was little!" She yells. "Except I lost all of them in the trees," she sighs. I laugh and hand her the handle.

"I'll run, you fly," I smile. She nods and holds it tight. I figure out the way the wind is going and run. Run as fast as I can. I soon let go of the kite and it spins around in the air as Indie flies it.

There are kids flying their kites and I watch Indie fly her's. I take sneaky photos.

When her kite finally drops I grab it.

"Want me to run again?" I ask. She nods and I run again. As I'm running I notice the dug out bit of grass but I'm going too fast and my left foot get's caught in it. I trip, let go of the kite and forward roll along the grass.

"Liam!" Indie yells. Very soon she has come over to me and squats down next to me. "Are you okay?" She asks.

I feel okay. "Yep!" I stand up and dust off. "Actually, I'm fine," I laugh. She laughs too and then I look at her hands.

"Indie, where's the kite?" I ask. She gasps and we both look up. Our rainbow coloured kite is gently flying away with the breeze. We both crack up and head back to the bag.

I pull out the picnic rug and lay it out. Indie and I both sit on it and enjoy the sandwiches I prepared. I also brought two chocolate milks.

"So Indie, where in Australia are you from?" I ask.

"Well, I was born in the Northern Territory," she says. I nod remembering the Northern Territory from touring there. "Then I moved to Sydney and lived there for the rest of my life," Indie explains.

"That's cool!" I smile.

"Next question!" Indie cheers.

"Um, why did you become a photographer?" I ask. She pauses and thinks before smiling.

"I wanted to be a teacher when I was little, then my year two teacher told us how she wanted to be a pilot when she was little so I wanted to be a pilot and then my year four teacher explained how he wanted to be a lawyer so I wanted to be a lawyer and then my Mum explained to me that her job is a photographer when I was ten and since then I've wanted to be a photographer," Indie gives me the whole story.

"That's pretty cool!" I nod.

Once we've finished lunch we head back to Indie's home and I walk her to the door.

"Wanna come in and play COD 3?" Indie asks. I stand there confused as to what COD 3 is. "Call of Duty 3. On the play station," Indie hints.

"Oh yeah!" I smile following her in. She has a nice house.

"Emma! I'm home!" Indie yells before leading me into the kitchen. A girl who looks very much like Indie is sitting at the bench.

"Hey Indigo!" She smiles at Indie.

"It's Indie," Indie growls back. The girl who I guess is Emma laughs.

"Hey I'm Emma! Indie's sister," she smiles at me.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Liam," I reply. Emma smiles and goes back to her work. Indie grabs a packet of biscuits and we head into the lounge.

So, here we are sitting playing Call of Duty 3 and eating biscuits. I accidentally forget to protect Indie from the tank and she gets blown up and the game ends.

"Liam? What kind of boyfriend lets his girl get shot?" Indie throws the controller at my chest. I ignore that and smile at her.

"So am I your boyfriend?" I ask smirking. She blushes.

"Yeah, I guess," she replies. I smile and then lean in and kiss her. This moment is perfect, despite the sound of guns and bombs in the background.

We both separate and I have to ask, "Why'd Emma call you Indigo?"

Indie sighs. "My full name is Indigo Rose Angus," Indie replies.

"That's a really pretty name," I smile. She blushes.

"Yeah, but I prefer Indie. I've just never come to terms with Indigo. Me personally, I prefer it as a colour," Indie explains.

I chuckle a bit.

"Well Indigo Rose or Indie Rose are both beautiful," I smile. She blushes and I pull her into a hug. Yes, a big Liam Payne hug.
