"I'm gonna get fired"

"Can you speak in a language I can understand?"

"Yeah sorry"

I looked around the lab. It's a small room. Not organized at all. A microscope stood in the middle of her work table.

"Why is there a Viperwolf on your door?"

"Thats what you're asking now?! Really you just picked me up without a care? What were you even running from?"

"Corpses"

"Corpses?! Y/N what do you mean Corpses?"

"He smelled like a corpse. He looked like a na'vi but smelled like a corpse."

"He?"

"Yeah he. A na'vi with human chlothes and a gun. He said something in english. And then I punched him. Right in the face. And then I ran in the right corridor and the-"

"You punched a recom?! I'm gonna lose my job!" she had a frown on her face now. She walked to her table and plumed down onto her office chair with a huff.

"Do you know where Spi-"

"Yeah, yeah I do"

"And where is he?"

"In a room like you were in. It's in the left corridor from your room. So you basically went in the wrong direction."

I turn around to leave to go to Spider. But my legs give in and I sit on the floor now.
Yanayi just looks at me confused.

"You good? Ran to much huh. Don't even think about going to him right now. He's unconscious anyway. And the recoms would find you in seconds."

"Any better ideas? Why are you helping me anyway?" I said now slightly angry.

Yanayi sighed.

"I said it before. Are you even listening to me? I'm helping you because that was my intention the last years. I wanted to help the na'vi my whole live. And now I have a native sitting on the floor, in my lab. Little me would be full of joy if she could see me now."

"Hm, and now? What am I supposed to do?"

"Go back-"

"NO! Corpse man is scary as shit and he stinks. I'm not going back to that man. He said his english weird."

"You didn't let me finish! I wanted to say that I will bring you back when everyone is asleep and on the way we could get your son."

"Hm, I like that plan."

"And what do you mean 'he said his english weird'?"

"He said it weird. In a weird tone."

"I have no idea what you could mean. Repeat the phrase he said please."

"Okay, uhm
Fayk fayk kupekate. Ou tun wieh General Ardmore.
Sorry I can't do it any better."

"Fayk fayk kupekate? I know that phrase from somewhere. How did the man look?"

"Ahh, lets see he had big yellow eyes, weird hair. Like the sides were completely of you know. And big shoulders but relly slim waist-"

"YOU PUNCHED THE COLONEL?! OH FUCK"

"Why are you screaming? And what is a colonel?"

"The colonel is the leader of the so called 'corpses'. And you punched him in the fucking face!"

"What was I supposed to do?! Let him take me i dont know where?"

Yanayi stood up from her chair and took her tablet from her working table.

"Fair point. Okay you just wait, and I look trough the reports. They probably reported to the general right away what happend. Means they posted it in 'The news of Pandora'."

"The news of pandora?"

"Yeah everything that could interest the humans of pandora gets posted there. Reports of  creatures that go around the labs or new food that got delivered. You know? General news. The tablets work with electricity thats-"

"I know what electricity is and I also know how your technology works. I helped in the labs that we have" I snarled back.

"Okay okay, I understand. Can you stand up now?"

"Yeah yeah. What's in the report?" I asked now a bit more silent and relaxed. I slowly stood up, gripping a little chair to support my weight. Seems like sleeping on and under a metal table isn't the best for my body.

Yanayi read the report trough again and again always stopping on the same spot as if something was wrong with it. She looked up at me and then started to speak in a confused tone.

"He was put in the brain washing machine but didn't say anything about the sully's hideout ,not one word. He called the general and the scientists idiots a few times and asked things about you but thats it."

"Why are you reading it over and over again? Whats the problem."

"They didn't write a reason to why they let him go. Normally they would write he blacked out or they didn't have time to interrogate him anymore. It's like they deleted something of the report."

Now I was confused to. Why would they delete the reason? That doesn't make sense in any way.  I just furrowed my brow in confusion.

"Give me a second maybe I can restore the information that was ones written down."
She started to write things into her tablet and numbers appeared. I have absolutely no idea what she's doing but it seems to work as it goes back to normal and Yanayi let's out a excited squeal.

"I got it. It's been a long time since I've done something like this. Let's see what they're trying to hide"

Yanayi looked at the report even more confused than before.

"What?" I asked her as her eyes widened.

"The colonel stopped the machine. He carried the boy out the room. Why would he do that?"

"Isn't he the leader of the corpses, the bad guys? That doesn't make sense."

"Let me check your sons data."

As she searched it up, her eyes widened even more in shock than before.

"He is his father!" She exclaimed in shock.

"Excuse you?" Now I stood next to her looking at the tablet as if I knew any of the words that were written down on it.

"What the fuck?! I didn't know the colonel had a child! Apparently his biological mother was Paz Socorro. But she died and Spider had to stay here due to the cryo capsules. Thats crazy! That means he stopped the machine because he felt sorry or something like that."

I have no idea what I am supposed to say now. All that came a bit sudden for me.

"I'm just gonna ignore that. Mhm. How late is it I want to go."

I took the tablet out of her hands and pressed the power button. Yanayi looked at the clock above her lab door and sighed. Now she turned to one of her shelfs that hang on all walls of the lab. She pulled out a little basket out of one of the lower shelfs and pulled it out to show me the Sari seeds that filled the basket.

"Eat! We still have to sit her for the next few hours."

"HOURS?"

Yanayi now sits in her office chair again and I sit on the floor right in front of her. We went trough the plan over and over again.

"Alright do you really know the way you have to go? I can only take you to your corridor. From that point you have to go alone, there are cameras all over the palce so I can't go there with you. The doors to the rooms there should automatically open when you press the green little button next to the door. Understood? And after you got him you come back here as fast as you can yeah? And then I'll lead you out to the forest. And you just run. Run, run and don't stop running until you're sure that the humans, soldiers and recoms can't find you anymore. Do you want me to repeat it to you?"

"No! I got now. Through the corridor, then press the button on his door and then back to you and then run. Yeah, yeah i got it."

"Not the button on the door, the button next to th-"

"I GOT IT"

Now we stood up and Yanayi fiddled out her keys to unlock her door. It's now a little past midnight, there is not one single soul in the corridors.

Yanayi peaked out her head into the corridor before her lab, to make sure that there was actually no one there.

"Alright let's go. You go upfront and I check the back if you hear anything, I don't know, drag me into some corridor and then we'll just kill ourselves. To say it in another way, let's just pray to Eywa that no one is there."

With that we started to run silently into corridors I once came from.

There was a sound coming from the vents and I sharply turned around to Yanayi.

"What? What is it?"

"Did you not here that sound coming from the vents?"

"I didn't hear anything. Probably just the air circulation. Keep going"

We started going again but I had a really bad feeling about the vents and the sound that came out of it every few seconds.

As we stood right around the corner to the corridor my room was in we stopped. Yanayi sighed and patted me on the under arm to reassure me to keep going.

"I'll see you in a minute back here! Be safe!" She swiftly said while already turning around to make sure no one was coming from the back.

"Oh Eywa, please help me"

I rush around the corner and just sprint trough the corridor, past the room I was originally in and into the left corridor where Spider is.

I heard the sound out of the vents again this time I was to 100% sure it was louder this time. It sounded more like a heavy pair of footsteps.

I could already see a door to a room that looked just like mine. I slowly stopped and stood infront the door.

I searched for the button Yanayi told me to press. What wasn't the easiest in the dark. When I tapped over the surface next to the door for the button I finally found it and pressed it.

The doors sprung open and revealed a room just like mine. And under the metal table little Spider.

I sighed heavy and held the little peaceful moment in my mind. As I wanted to crouch down to him to pick him up a hand covered my mouth.

I was pulled out of the room and the doors closed right in front of me.

I tried to kick the person behind me between the legs. But they dodged it and kicked me in the legs from behind.

I fell onto my knees and tried to immediately turn around to at least see the person that attacked me, but they twisted my left arm behind my back.

I screamed into the hand that was still pressed onto my mouth.

"Enough now! I searched for you the whole fucking day. You think you can just run from me cupcake? I'll always find you no matter how far you run and no matter where you hide."

I tried to get out of their grip. I was under so much adrenaline that I didn't even notice that it was the colonel who was speaking to me.

I reached my right hand to the hand that was wrapped over my mouth. I scratched him multiple times and he actually let go, but only to now also twist my right arm behind my back.

I hissed at him in pain. And afterwards screamed to get the attention of Yanayi to alert her. So she can at least get out of this without any punishments.

"I don't understand your language corpse man"

"What were you thinking? As if I would just let you get out of here."
