With your hands on me
I feel my heartbeat racing

"Morning sunshine."

The jovial tone of her boyfriend entered the quiet air of the store, the clock hitting 2am when he arrived.

Haeri was sat behind the counter, her bored eyes brightening at the sight of Donghyuck. He put his hands on the surface between them, leaning forward to greet her with a kiss.

"Thought you were going sleep?" Haeri asked, knowing they talked half an hour ago. Donghyuck pouted, frowning as he answered.
"I couldn't sleep, I tried."

He leant his arms on the counter, leaning his whole body down to bury his head in them. Haeri's hand found itself on his head, rubbing through his hair consolingly.

"You have practices tomorrow, you'll be tired. Don't fall asleep here." She told him, worried he might doze off right there.
"I sleep better next to you." He mumbled out, turning his head to rest his cheek on his arm.

He looked up at her, his rounded eyes gazing into her own despite his tiredness.
"When do you finish?"

Haeri smiled softly, running her fingers through his hair to push it away from his forehead so she could see his eyes.
"Thirty minutes." She answered, admiring how cute and cozy he looked when tired. "You go back, I'll come when I'm done."

He made a sound of disapproval, leaning into her hand.
"I'll stay." He told her, relishing in the way her hand gently stroked his hair, the tension in his temples subsiding a little.

"Why don't you go sit down, you're going to hurt your back like this Hyuck." Haeri suggested, worried he'd pain himself more this way.

He had a hard day of schedules earlier, complaining about his pain and she grew even more concerned when he winced a little as he got up from his slumped position.

Haeri walked around the counter, grasping both his hands as she walked backwards, facing him.
"You know, you need to get checked out again- you're still in pain."
"I know, I just haven't had time to."

When she frowned, she looked cute and Donghyuck had a tired smile as he watched her turn around, still holding onto one of his hands.

"Well, if you won't go home then sit here yeah? Are you hungry?" Haeri asked, watching him observantly when he sat down. Donghyuck shook his head, yawning.
"Maybe...maybe a snack." He told her, she nodded and with a smile, she ruffled at his hair and walked over to where his favourite snacks were.

Haeri and Donghyuck sat at the small table in the store, similar to the times he'd come keep her company and they'd eat together at crazy hours just talking.

They could spend ages just talking, about anything and everything.

Even if he was tired, he'd still listen to her ramble on about something that happened, the excitement in her voice making him happy.

By the time her shift was over, he was glad to finally have her next to him so he could sleep peacefully. When his head hit the pillow and his arm hooked around her, he was out like a light.

And when morning came, he didn't want to let her go.

The alarm blaring irritatingly was what snapped Haeri out of her sleep, the peaceful dream she was having- now ruined.

Still, she was dazed and sleepy so her body was already drifting back asleep but the alarm had yet to be turned off.

She could feel the weight of Donghyuck's head pressed against the back of her neck, arm snugly around her and he was definitely still deeply asleep.

The sound kept persisting and Haeri let out a small groan of annoyance at the disturbed sleep, trying to turn but his body against hers proved it difficult.

"Turn it off." Haeri mumbled, knowing his phone was on his side, lightly nudging him. He did stir a little but only tightened his hold on her. She gently nudged him again but he let out a few incoherent mumbles.

The incessant ringing of the alarm became a disruption to Donghyuck too who unraveled himself from Haeri to groan loudly, clearly annoyed.

He stretched his arm as far as he could, trying to blindly turn his phone alarm off. Once it was off, his arm flopped back next to him and his eyes began to close again.

Haeri too fell back asleep, unaware of the fact Donghyuck jolted away not even three minutes later because he remembered he had an important schedule.

Unbalanced and disoriented, he got up with a blurred vision trying to make his way to the bathroom. His alarm was already cutting it close so he didn't have much time, hurrying through his morning routine at lightening speed.

When he emerged back to the room, all dressed and ready to go, cleaning the lenses of his glasses as he went over to check his bag had everything in it.

Donghyuck turned his head, gaze moving towards his bed where Haeri lay peacefully asleep. He smiled, stopping his rush for just a second and walking towards her side she was facing.

The covers were clutched up and nuzzled to her chin, slight pout and some strands of hair that fell over her face. He crouched down, level with her sleeping face and he wondered what she was dreaming of.

Her features were soft, she looked angelic whenever he saw her, just so perfect. He tilted his head a little, looking at how her nose scrunched up slightly.

He smiled, fingers moving her hair out of her face which must've made her pull out of her sleep a little.

"I'm leaving now." He said quietly, his hand on the side of her face. He wanted to let her know he was leaving instead of her waking up to an empty bed.

She must've heard him but not comprehended the words, humming questioningly out of tiredness. Haeri didn't open her eyes though, body fighting the urge to immediately shut down asleep.

"I'm leaving for my schedules now okay?" He repeated, the way he was rubbing his thumb across her cheekbone made her open her eyes briefly but the light caused her to close them.

"Okay..." she trailed off, still half shut down. "Have fun, text me. I'm sleeping here." Haeri mumbled, cosying up more.
Donghyuck chuckled softly, nodding and leaned forward to kiss her forehead, pinching her cheek lightly.

"Alright sleeping beauty, I'll see you later. I love you."
Despite the strong urge to slip away asleep, she smiled.
"I love you too."

Since university was all over, Haeri didn't have much to do in the day. She mostly just lazed around and helped around the house with tidying and cooking.

Feeling bored, she checked her messages to her boyfriend. The last thing he said was that they finished schedules but had to come to the company to practice.

She felt so bad for Donghyuck, he worked so hard. She just wished he would be given a break just to rest and let his body heal from all the strenuous activities.

Since she worried a lot about Donghyuck and the other boys too, Haeri got up and made herself presentable before heading out to get food for them all.

From being around them, she had picked up on what they liked to eat which was helpful in this case. When she made it to the company, she greeted the security guard who let her in.

Haeri was pretty used to the layout of the company, familiar with it. With the bag of food, she stopped outside the practice room and peered her head in the door.

It seemed like they were independently practicing with each other, the boys looked tired and lacking the energy they needed to keep going.

Jeno was the first to notice her from the reflection of the mirror, lifting his hand to wave which she waved back while entering the room fully.

With a dramatic turn and gasp, Donghyuck practically strode over and almost crushed her from how he tightly wrapped his arms around her.

"Oh, food." Jisung saw the bag in her hand, taking it happily. "Thanks!"
"No problem." Haeri answered, voice a little strained from how much her boyfriend was smothering her.

With the bag out of her hands, she returned his embrace, laughing a little at how he was acting as if they hadn't seen each other in years.

"You okay?" She asked, worried and trying to look at him but he had his face pressed in her neck. "Are you hurt, Hyuck?"

"No." His voice mumbles, the tension held in his body soothing out in her arms. No one questioned any of this, in actual fact they were glad Donghyuck had Haeri in these situations. Everyone could tell how hard his body was taking the schedule.

"Missed you." He said, swaying them lightly.
"I missed you too." Haeri reciprocated, rubbing his back comfortingly because even if he would outright say it, he was exhausted and in pain. "But, you should come eat- before it's all gone you know."

A little reluctantly, he leant away from her but made sure to grasp her hand and lead the way towards the food which was being demolished.

"Hey, stop being such greedy idiots- at least thank Haeri or I'll make you regret it." Donghyuck threatened, making them stop.

"Thank you Haeri!" It was almost in unison which made her laugh, some of their voices muffled by the fact they were midway through eating.

She stayed there for a while until they started practicing, she watched but Yeonhee came to see the boys too, happily surprised when seeing Haeri there.

The girls left the practice room together, heading to Yeonhee's office.
"By the way, you know Seola's group like how Minhee got kicked out- yeah she's being replaced by a new trainee."
"Really? Will they be able to debut soon- I know Seola has been waiting." Haeri said, feeling bad for the girl who's put her whole life on this dream.

"Not right away, the girl...she's like new. I think they have to train together for a little longer. Hopefully they get to debut by the end of the year or maybe the start of next year...not sure." Yeonhee shrugged.

"Being idols...it's hard. Right, like seeing it for yourself. I just don't understand why they can't give them breaks...they deserve to rest." Haeri frowned, sitting in one of the chairs, leaning her head back.

"Trust me, I know. It makes me so angry...Mark comes home practically dragging his body in because he's in pain."
"Hyuck too...I feel guilty because I feel like there's nothing that I do that can help."

"I know, I felt like that too but I think it's hard for us to genuinely help and get to the cause of the problem because it's the company's fault. We can't do anything...but we can be there for them. I know that Donghyuck looks happier now, before he used to stay in his room, not really come out to hang with everyone after schedules. I think you've really helped him feel more happy." Yeonhee smiled, shrugging as she looked at Haeri, teasing her. "I mean you are his sunshine after all."

"Dude- yo. These look good!" Mark exclaimed happy. He smacked Jeno's arm with the back of his hand to gain his attention, Jeno's expression contorted into pain. "Gotta get these."

Haeri giggled at how Jeno was clutching his arm and an oblivious Mark was practically drooling over the baked goods at the cafe. They were downstairs, at the company cafe while the rest of the members get their fittings.

Mark and Jeno were first out and Haeri suggested they go here, she really craved a brownie or a cookie or something sweet at least. It seemed like Mark was baffled by all the choice, eyes scanning the items over and over again.

"It's not meant to be that hard of a choice." Jeno said, nudging the leader forward so he could order.
"Ah, man. This is hard- you go first." Mark said, pushing Haeri gently to the front.

After Haeri and Jeno, Mark must've taken another three minutes just stood there debating and apologising to the cashier. The two had already sat down, not even waiting for Mark who eventually ordered.

"That was excruciating." Haeri deadpanned yet still amused so a smile took place on her lips, not wanting to laugh in his face because he seemed genuinely apologetic for being so indecisive. "Did you get what you wanted?"

Mark nodded, content with his item. He looked like a little kid opening a present, his eyes beaming and round. Jeno, on the other hand, had finished his and was now downing a bottle of water, crushing the bottle in his fist out of habit.

Haeri and Mark turned to look at him, both of their stares making him send a look of confusion their way. His face seemed so innocent, unsure of the sudden attention. He tilted his head with a questioning hum.

The three of them stayed in the cafe, just talking and the conversation ended up moving between several topics.

Which ultimately became a gossiping session some way through it all.

Now, they were sat down with the food and drink devoured, staring at the display from their seat.

"I want one of those cookies- you know the big gooey one." Jeno nodded over to the display in the distance and Haeri nodded immediately- staring at it too.

Almost comically, Jeno and Haeri turned to the eldest.

Mark was chewing on his food when he felt the silence was weird, glancing up only to see them staring at him.

He paused, then a heavy sigh and a dip of his head followed.
"Fine...okay. I'll get them." Mark said, getting up to his feet and taking a last glance at the other two who had big happy smiles.

"Why did you steal my girlfriend?" Mark's seat was taken by the one and only Donghyuck, pretending to glare at Jeno.

By this time, Mark had returned to see the younger boy in his seat, being forced to sit on the whole other side of the table.

"Thank you." Haeri said excitedly, taking one of the cookies.
"Hey, where's mine?" Donghyuck asked Mark who sat down.
"Get your own." Is what he replied, gaining a glare from Donghyuck.

"So rude." Donghyuck muttered, looking at his girlfriend with a smile and fluttering eyes. Haeri had only taken one bite of the cookie before her boyfriend had leant in to basically bite off most of it.

Her mouth dropped, staring at him in disbelief.
"Hey...that was my cookie." She frowned.
"...Ah, don't make that face." Donghyuck shook his head, unable to look at her. "Too cute, I'll buy you more. I'm more considerate than Mark, I'll get you five."

"Considerate...he just ate her cookie." Jeno commented, watching Donghyuck get up to buy the cookies. "He's so weird, is he always like this?"
"Yep."

Kang.Haeriii's story

It was the day of another concert and this time it was even more special because not only was Donghyuck's family coming, Haeri's were too.

She felt nervous about the two families meeting, she knew they'd get along but it was nerve wracking anyway.

Haeri was with him through the soundcheck before the actual concert, then backstage while they were all getting dressed.

Yeonhee and Mei were here too, the three girls lounging together with the fan blowing the cool air on them due to the increase of heat as summer had approached.

They were talking about what Haeri's plans were for Donghyuck's birthday. He didn't have the day off, only half of it which was really disappointing. It was his day but he had to work continuously.

Haeri was unsure if he would be spending it with his family or maybe his members, she'd love to of course spend it with him but it was hard because of the lack of time. She wanted to make it special for him regardless.

Donghyuck was all dressed for the first part of the concert, emerging back through where the girls were. He noticed Haeri was deep in thought about something, she hadn't noticed him yet.

He made his way over, standing behind her and covering her eyes. It scared her a lot, she nearly cussed out at the sudden view block but heard him laughing.

Her hands grasped his, pulling them away from her eyes and leaning her head back so she could see him.

"You scared me." She frowned, he was upside down but still pretty. He had his hands on the sofa on each side of her head, leaning over her.

"You looked deep in thought- thinking about me?" He asked smugly and she rolled her eyes.
"You wish."
"How did you know?" He gasped dramatically, then puckered his lips.

"Can you get a room?" Mei asked.
"Sure." He replied, holding his hand out to Haeri who smacked it away.
"Stop that, oh- we should go see if they're here now. My mum texted saying she just got let in."

He nodded, pulling her up to her feet regardless.
"You seem nervous." He commented once they were out in the hallway.
"I am." She admitted, curling her hand around his arm to hold. "They're meeting for the first time."

"It will be okay, they'll all get along." He reassured, looking at her and smiling to ease her nerves.

Haeri heard her name being yelled off in the distance, the two of them looking ahead where Jiyeon was excitedly running in the hallway towards them. Far behind were Haeri's family.

"This is all so cool." Jiyeon gushed once reaching the couple, it was weird seeing Donghyuck all dressed up for a concert like this because he was usually lounging around.

Haeri's Mother happily greeted them, hugging Donghyuck and wishing him luck for the concert. She held up her light stick, waving it.
"We're going to cheer for you." Sujin beamed, her husband chuckling.

"Yeah, she'll probably be taking videos of you to post to facebook." Jihoon commented.

"Where is your family sweetheart? I'd love to meet the ones who raised you so well." She asked Donghyuck who flushed a little but said that his family would be arriving soon.

He didn't lie when he said they'll be here soon because about five minutes later, Haeri spotted his family in the distance.

It seemed like Kyungmin and Yejun were being dragged to another concert and Seonhee was taking selfies in the hallway lighting. Her Mum was scolding her quietly, trying to get them all to behave.

Haeri nudged Donghyuck to direct his attention over to his family, his face lit up as they approached.
Of course, he feigned surprise.
"Oh, Dad. Why are you here?"
"I don't know." His Father played along like always.

It felt really weird seeing her own parents greeting Donghyuck's parents, like their two worlds clashing. Haeri wasn't sure why she had been so nervous because they all did get along, all happy and welcoming smiles.

However, the siblings were a little awkward. Mostly because Jiyeon and Jihoon were older but Jiyeon was quick to compliment Seonhee's makeup and outfit.

Kyungmin kind of just stood by his Mum, really awkward because he couldn't even escape the situation by playing games.

Yejun met Haeri's eyes between all the family greetings.
"Hey." He said with a smile.
"Hi." She smiled, then noticed Jihoon just stood off to the side a little. Haeri tugged him closer. "This is my brother- Jihoon."

"Hey guys." Jihoon greeted, Yejun reciprocating and Kyungmin smiling the best he could.

"Should we sit down? It's almost time right?" Donghyuck's mother said, the idol in question nodding.
"Yeah, I need to just get last minute touch ups- the security can lead you to your seats."

"Great, I can't wait." Jiyeon said. "I tried to learn the light stick choreo or whatever it's called- can't say I got it down though."
Yejun chuckled because he remembered the time Seonhee tried to teach them.

"It's so embarrassing." Kyungmin whined quietly. "Waving it around."

Jihoon put an arm around the younger boy as they began to follow the parents out towards the actual arena.
"It is- but just imagine Donghyuck has to act cute on stage- even more embarrassing." Jihoon teased, looking over his shoulder at Haeri's boyfriend.
"You're just jealous I'm cute." Donghyuck fired back.

When the families were being led out by the security, Donghyuck turned to Haeri.
"You're not going? You should go now before it gets busy." He said.

"This feels so weird." She commented, glancing to where they all disappeared around the corner. "I'm glad they like each other."

Donghyuck smiled at her relief, his hands finding her cheeks.
"You're so cute, I told you it would be all okay."
"Hey...you can't blame me for being nervous. But how do you feel?"

"I'm happy." He told her, hands moving off her face to grasp her waist close to him, holding her. "I'm even more happier knowing I can flirt with you from the stage." He sighed dreamily.

She laughed, raising her eyebrows.
"Really? What are you going to do?"
"I'm going to confess my undying love for you then propose on stage."

"No way...what if I say no in front of everyone?" She replied and he gasped.
"You wouldn't dare, you're too obsessed with me." He grinned.
"You're the obsessed one- saying you'll confess your undying love and propose." She shot back.

"Don't use my love against me. Love is a powerful weapon." He claimed like he was knowledgeable. "Afterwards, come back here yeah? I think Mark and Yeonhee wanted to go out and eat with us. Something about needing a double date."

"Double date?" Haeri laughed. "Only if Yeonhee is my date then."
"Don't make me angry, you know they actually call me the hulk." He flexed his arm.
"Oh yeah? Who?"
"Everyone, obviously you don't know much." He rolled his eyes.

Upon hearing his name being called, Haeri fixed his top and gave her serious pep talk. He couldn't concentrate though on her encouragement, she looked too adorable.

Her rant about drinking water was cut off by a kiss. He leaned back and saw he had caught her off guard.
"If you want more," he puckered his lips. "You can come on stage and kiss me."

He had already began to walk off when she scoffed.
"You're so annoying." She called out, he turned around and walked backwards, shrugging.

"Will you be cheering me on then?" He asked and her annoyed expression softened.
"Of course, always."

Haechanahceah's story

"Yo dude, they're so gonna fall." Mark said anxiously, nudging Donghyuck who was too busy videoing them. "Hey, you guys should get down."

"First," Yeonhee called out, leaning her head back more to see her upside down boyfriend. "Find me ants."

Donghyuck walked over, his hands wrapping around Haeri's legs as he looked up at her.
"What are you looking at?" He asked, seeing she was staring up.

Glancing down, she had an mischievous smile on her lips.
"The sparkles in the sky. Hey..." she called out, looking at him as if she was contemplating something.

"If I jump will you catch me?"
"Are you underestimating me-" really she didn't him the chance to get ready because she jumped.

Thankfully, it wasn't that high but his footing wasn't stable, meaning they both fell. He heard her giggling, opening his eyes to see her looking down at him. The stars in the sky were hung around her head and the street lamp illuminating her skin.

"You didn't catch me."
"You didn't give me time to." He replied, slightly winded.
"...let's try it again!" She exclaimed excitedly.

It's beginning to feel like the end 😱
