24) weapon of choice

If some of you guys didn't pick up, I often write where the reader or oc uses kunais over other weapons.

Kunais and Asuma's chakra blades have always been more interesting, because they're lighter, smaller, and easier to travel with than other weapons. You could hide them litterally under your sleeve.

So when you have a fight pull a JoJo reference out of "IT'S ME, DIO!" while pulling it out. JoJo would be proud.

Also I've started watching JoJo Bizzare Adventures and let me say I have never felt such macho energy from no Latino guys.

Anyways, enjoy talking ONTO THE STEAMY ROMANCE

bye bye, lovelies~<3

~~~~~~~
That's when you saw him.
Slowly, his body was falling down from the cliff high above your home.
No one went after his body.
I have to save him.
You jumped into the air, catching his passed out body carefully.
An Uchiha.
Landing on a tree branch, you examined his body. The blood trickled down his cheeks from his eye sockets, his face in a peaceful expression.
"Who are you?" those words came out of his mouth in a whisper.
"I am not your enemy, Shisui Uchiha." you told him, the muscles relaxing in your arms. He had fainted from the pain of his eyes, but also blood loss.
You picked up him with as much strength you could muster, carrying him all the way back to your home slowly enough to where you wouldn't get fatigued.
~
You worked as a herbalist that also sold flowers. This was where Konoha Hospital got the medicine ingredients.  The Third Hokage allowed you to live in an area where you could own plenty of land to grow these herbs.
Shisui was lucky you were an expert in medicine by now.
As he sat up from your blood-stained couch, you glanced over at him from the kitchen area.
"Try not to move so much, your bandages are still covering your eyes." you spoke to him in a soothing voice, stirring the pot of food.
 Shisui did not say anything; it was probably for the fact he was trying to take in that he was blind.
"Why did you stop me from dying?" he asked you, guessing your location from noise and chakra.  Smiling, you plated two servings of breakfast.
 "I know the Uchihas are having a hard time. But at this time, throwing away your life like that was not a good choice. There is another way to fight: through peace talking and ways that can turn the opinion of both the council alongside the citizens of Konoha for the better. There will always be hatred, and hate does not always have to result with violence."
You walked up to the couch, sitting next to him. You watched him tense up, facing his half-white bandaged head turn towards you. "How long have I been out? Has anything happened to the Uchihas?" he asked.
Getting a spoonful of your cooking onto a spoon, you leaned forwards. "You've been out for a week. Nothing has happened except for Uchiha police violence becoming more violent. Now open your mouth; the less you move the quicker you can adjust to no eyesight."
Hesitantly opening his dry mouth, you entered the silverware into his mouth. When you're blind after you were born without it, it takes awhile to adapt to your senses. It's like starting all over again. He chewed, his hands reaching his mouth. You could almost feel his saddened aura.
"You're not alone in this, Shisui. I will help you get use to it. I may even have the chance to give you a false eye, but you wouldn't be able to see. I'm sorry I couldn't have done more." you whispered, continuing to feed him. Shisui had gone back to being quiet.
After you fed him, you trickled water down his mouth as he finally got his normal tone of voice back. Leaning back on the couch, you began to eat your own meal. He reached out in front of him, which met only air. He reached out to his right side, which grazed the arm of the couch. When he reached out towards you, he touched your hair. Shisui froze, slowly moving his hand away back to his lap.
"What do you look like? How about this place?" he mumbled, one of his hands touching the texture of the couch. Swallowing your food, you placed your empty plate down in front of the low coffee table.
 "Well, I look like a girl around your age...maybe a bit short/tall with h/l h/c hair. This place looks like my home. I grow herbs for the local hospital, and flower seeds to give to the Yamanakas in case they run low on supply. It's cozy, and gives enough room for me to have everything I need to live."
Shisui nodded, a small bittersweet smile on his face.
"I sure would love to see it." he said, his hands stopping their movement. Placing a hand on his shoulder, you smiled back at the man.
"I'll be your eyes from now on, Shisui." you told him. "How do you know my name....I don't even know yours." he told you, the flex of his eyebrow raising up under the wrap.
"L/n Y/n. When you lived pretty close to the Uchihas, you know them by name because you hear them so often. Itachi and you used to train very close to here. Besides, I've  met Mikoto before once. She liked buying flowers from me to place in her home."
The chime from the partial entrance of your door rang loudly. Your one story house connected with your herbal and floral shop through a thin little door. Standing up, you headed towards the door.
"Do not try to escape or move." you ordered him, opening a white door. A light smell of rose water, dill, and oregano tickled his nose before it was shut.
He was left alone in the total darkness.
~
You smiled at the young woman as she picked out the proper herbs. "This should do. Thank you, Y/n." her purple lips mustered, giving you a handful of money. Taking it, you nodded. "Anything for Konoha. How has Uzumaki Naruto been? I've heard he went to the hospital from feeling ill." you asked. A look of disgust went on her face, the falseness of the smile long gone. "That demon was kicked out as soon as he simply complained about a cold."
Just as you were about to reply, a loud crash happened in the living room of your home.
Saying your good byes to the nurse as she walked out, you immediately went into the house again.  Shisui sat up slowly from the ground. It seemed he had tripped over the coffee table in front of the couch. Chuckling, you crouched down, grabbing his hand.
"Didn't I say to be careful, Shisui?" you asked, helping him get up. "Gomen." the ex-Uchiha murmured, grabbing your hand to help support him rising up. Soon enough, he was standing properly.
Placing your hand on your hip, you silently thought to yourself while you stared at his bandaged face. "I guess you want to begin learning basics, hm?" you said. No reply.
"Step one: get a walking stick. I'll be right back."
Hearing your foot steps fade away, he didn't dare move. One: you would scold him again. Two: he was still processing that he couldn't see.
You came back, holding a dark brown stick. "You remind me of my father. Before he passed away, he lost his eyesight in on of his eyes at an older age. He fell down while walking in the woods and stabbed one of his eyes all the way through by a sharp branch.  At the time, his eyesight was already bad as it was." Tossing it to him, Shisui's ninja reflex caught it easily.
"Try maneuvering around to help guide you. Come towards my voice."
Shisui moved the stick in front of him, a gentle tap indicating something was in front of him. The coffee table he just tripped over. Walking away from it, he tried another spot. Nothing. Continuing on, he bumped into something a bit shorter than him.
You. Looking up at him, he froze. "Gomen." Shisui said, giving you a little space. Smiling wider, you nodded. "Good progress, Shisui!" you told him.
~Time Skippersss to  Six Months Later~
He was able to walk, bathe, feed, and other things by himself. You didn't need to make sure he didn't fall. The bandages were also gone; revealing more of his chiseled face to you.
And you had to admit, the bakckette was very attractive even though he had no eyes.
While you sleepily watched the last customer leave your shop area, you closed it up. Shisui wasn't allowed to help out; if word got out he was alive, Danzo or the ROOT would definitely hunt him and you. He's kept his chakra hidden ever since he woke up.
"Shisui, what're you cooking today?" you asked him, locking the white door with a key. A fresh aroma filled the air; and thanks to the fact you had fresh herbs available, you didn't need as much salt of pepper.
"Kushiyaki." he said, looking over in your direction.
Kushiyaki is also known as yakitori. Basically, they're meat kabobs with vegetables on a skewer, like chicken or shrimp with seasonal vegetables. They don't have to have meat, so this is any type of kushiyaki/yakitori of choice. Let me know if  this is wrong, tanku!!
Feeling your mouth water, you walked next to him. They sizzled on the pan he had them on, steam seeping out the little cuts of the meat/vegetables. Being so fixated on them, you didn't noticed to hand on your shoulder.
Before you knew it, the hand trailed up your neck, breaking your attention from the juicy food. Blushing mildly, you looked over at Shisui.
"S-Shisui!" you mumbled, turning your body towards him.
"I can't help it." he said smoothly, placing his other hand on your cheek.
Frozen in your state, his fingers touched your soft lips, his head slowly leaning forwards. His eyes were already closed....so it felt so...right
Leaning into the kiss, you two interlocked mouths slowly. It was for a couple of seconds before he broke it.
"I do not care about your looks. I've been interested in you because of your heart." Shisui said, his hands removing themselves from their places. "You've helped me, and so maybe one day I hope I can return the favor."
His fingers intertwined with yours as you looked down upon your hands. The tempo of your heartbeat was slowly going back to normal, your forehead leaning on his shoulders.
It was  a peaceful quiet.
"I care for you more than I should, Uchiha Shisui." you whispered, hugging him tightly. "All I ask from you in return is to do the same."
He smiled, turning off the stove. A gentle kiss on your forehead was all you needed to understand his reply.
~
One of your friends told you the horrid news of Itachi's Coup d'état .
"I see." you mumbled, writing the proper price of the lemon balm herb.  The medical nin hummed in agreement, keeping his distance from you as he watched your graceful hands write in effortlessly neat hand writing.
Shisui
"Damn criminal, it's no surprise he's been placed in the bingo book. Some bounty hunters have been looking for him since then; he shouldn't have passed the borders of our nation." he stated while grabbing a portioned yarrow bouquet.
The soft rustling of the plastic wrapping around it made you uncomfortable. Luckily, you kept your posture calm. "I hope they find him..." you lied under your breath, putting in the cash he paid for the white flowers.
"Come again soon."
As soon as the door was shut, Shisui opened the white door with a slam. It made you flinch, turning your body towards him.
"You heard, didn't you?" you asked him gently. He nodded, a frustrated but quick sigh escaping his lips. He leaned on the cash register's counter while his right hand bundled up his silky black hair. You walked over to sooth him, placing your hands on his shoulders and slowly massaging them.
"I knew that the peace Itachi and I were trying to make would mean taking risks. The third hokage had talked about it with me, but I didn't expect for it to happen. I wonder if he saved Sasuke."
 The knots in his sturdy build were unbinding in a steady pace as you kept kneading in to the skin. It was silent, one the sound of the air conditioner stimulating that correct temperature for the flowers on average. Leaning on his right shoulder, you closed your eyes.
"Hate does not always have to end in violence. But peace does not always begin from suffering. Sometimes hate can start from peace, and peace will start from hate. Itachi sacrificed his own profile for the village's sake. There is now peace among the Uchihas and Konoha." you whispered.
"Because they're dead, Y/n. My family, friends..."
Staying in the closed, tight position, you two grieved silently over the loss of his brothers, sisters, and cousins, and Itachi's noble choice. You swore something wet and cold had tickled your hair as he embraced you.
~
Sasuke watched you stand at the door of the academy. He always knew you waited for him; it was almost like you were his aunt or new adult supervision. Though he did not live with you, the hokage allowed you to have parental powers over him. You shared twenty percent of the shop's payment towards him, and bought him the groceries or clothes he needed.
Shisui's wish was for you to watch his cousin for him.
"Hello, Sasuke." you greeted him, a small smile on your face. The emo duck-butt scoffed at you, walking past you. Joining next to him, you ruffled his hair.
"Y/n San! That's embarrassing when you do that in public..." he mumbled. Laughing at his cuteness, your mind wondered towards comparing him to your secret lover.
Placing your hip on your hip, you looked down at him. "Well you better get used to it. I have a gift for you from a friend of mines." you told him, his body stopping its walk.
Shisui was able to pick him fresh tomatoes while you were out on a flower convection show for a whole week. It was packed in a brown, small basket. He carefully wrote down "Sasuke" in his cursive hand writing. Placing it into his hands, Sasuke's eye widened while staring at the ripe, red fruits/vegetables.
 Trying not to show his excitement, he coughed while a tint of pink cascaded onto his pale cheeks. "Tell your friend I said thank you." Duck Butt told you. Nodding, you continued to be next to his side until he got home.
After you had made sure Sasuke was safe inside of his home, you immediately headed to your home.
Shisui was watering the flowers. He began working more and more with the herbs, flowers, and other things you grew.
Sensing your presence, a smile trailed on his lips in less than a second.
"How was Sasuke today?" he asked you. Heading closer to him, you pecked his cheek. "Good as always. He was thrilled to see you picked out his favorite food."
Grabbing a water jug, you watered the flowers next to him.
As the water poured in a slight noise, he tilted his head down towards your body.
"Thank you, Y/n. For everything you do." Shisui complimented you out of the blue, your cheek flustering up while you punched his arm playfully.
"Aw, I don't really do anything!" you mumbled, moving a strand of your h/c away from your face.
"Then would you say that me being here next to you, breathing and such, you didn't do anything?" he teased you in his soft voice. Humming in reply, you simply shrugged.
"Hn." you told him, that smile of his widening. "You really did know us, hn?" he teased stated back.  Grabbing your waist with one of his arms, he kept you into a tight side embrace.
"You're my savior, don't ever forget that Y/n." he stated.
You tilted your head upwards.
"Sometimes saviors aren't what you expect. They come in different bodies, species, personalities, etc. I would not consider myself one...but I trust you enough to where I can believe in your words."
