I forgot two OCs so I'm still on break but I'm extending it to January 2nd. So let's get these two OCs on the road. This OC is by HereticLolita I hope you like it.

Nice name

Meaning Himura; hi (緋) means ’scarlet, dark red’ and mura (村) means ’town, village’. Koharu; ko (小) means ’small’ and haru (春) means spring. The compound word 小春 means ’late spring’.

Personality Koharu is serious and hard to impress, she almost never says praises to her students, but when she does, her students know they have accomplished something. She cares deeply about the village and her students. She is secretly a romantic and dreams of getting married but is way too shy to approach guys let alone to go on a date. She covers the shyness with harshness. This comes from her fear to be rejected romantically. That’s why she’s having hard time trying to form romantic bonds with men. She doesn’t know where this fear came from, but she had tried to overcome it by going on random dates but then ditching them before the date. Despite her serious and harsh interior and the reputation of being harsh and non-caring sensei, she can be quite good company and enjoys being with her friends. She can be sarcastic and loud, but this doesn’t really show until she’s very drunk. Koharu’s a good friend who listens and is trustworthy and cares deeply for her ‘precious people’. However, she can be quite bitter and can carry grudges for a very long time which makes her even more serious and harsh with her words.

This woman has a very unique personality of a few real world aspects. It shows the different and even secret sides to her. This is great.

Battle: Koharu is a Jonin and ranked A in the bingo book. She specializes in ninjutsu because she has a very strong affinity with fire. She uses basic shinobi tools as kunais, shurikens and shinobi wire but she has trained using a bō -staff. Because her strong affinity towards fire, she is mostly long-range fighter but can fight in close range if needed. Her chakra reserves are big through training and biology but not as large as Naruto’s. Let’s say they are above average. Her chakra control isn’t as perfect as Sakura’s but Koharu has trained the control for one single jutsu that needs near perfect control to use. Her jutsus are fire based and truth to be told she can’t use any other elements expect fire.

Her flaws for fighting are shown greatly here as well as her strengths for mastering fire. Nice.

Past: Koharu was born outside of Kohonagakure to a small farming village. As her name suggests Koharu was born in late spring, specifically in 7th of April. The townsfolk would often say she was ‘kissed by fire’ because of her hair and they believed her unusual hair color came from the huge bonfire that the town had lighted in hope of ashes giving them a good harvest. Koharu was born when the bonfire was at is hottest and at it’s brightest. Koharu’s mother and father have no idea how their daughter’s hair turned the way it was though Koharu’s grandmother would often say it was because it was the earth’s natural energy that blessed her and that ‘Koharu would do many wonderful things in her life’. Koharu and her family lived in their farming village until Koharu was four. There started to be sudden increases of bandit activity so Koharu’s father, Daiki, decided it was time to move away. So, they sold their house and moved to Konohakagure. There Koharu found about shinobis. Immediately Koharu wanted to become a shinobi and while their parents didn’t exactly like their only daughter going into a such dangerous lifestyle, they couldn’t say no to her. So, she started academy and it was a rocky path to her to take. Since Koharu came from a small farming village, she didn’t have exactly greatest of knowledge of the world and she didn’t know a thing from chakra or shinobi lifestyle. She failed couple of years until she was in the same class as Umino Iruka. She immediately had a crush on a year younger boy but didn’t know what to do. So, she became friends with him and a boy named Mizuki. This marked the beginning of long and horrible friendzone to Koharu. Koharu lost her grandmother to the Kyuubi attack, Himura Ryoba’s old and fragile heart couldn’t handle the death intent that the fox gave. Of course, Koharu was saddened by her grandmother’s sudden death but she couldn’t place the blame on the fox alone, the whole family knew that Ryoba was going to die sooner or later.When Koharu graduated from the academy at the age of 11, she was placed into a year older team because the teams wouldn’t have been even. Her new teammates didn’t like that very much and were often teasing her for being ’the baby of the group’. Koharu tried to be friendly with them but both older genins didn’t want to be her friends, Koharu gave up but tried to get along with them. Surprisingly to her new sensei, she was better at leading that his two other students. Koharu became a chunin at the age of 13. She and her team failed the first time because of bad teamwork and the two older genin blamed her for it. The second time was no better. Because her teammates refusal of listening Koharu, they were ambushed by enemy team and battle began. A surprise fire jutsu from the enemy team blinded Koharu’s team and Koharu was hit to the face with it. Her left side was badly burned, and she couldn’t see anything with her left eye. Still by sheer stupidity or stubbornness, she dragged her teammates to the victory and managed to become a chunin despite her injuries. She was mostly promoted by her leader skills (even though her teammates didn’t listen to her) and also for her ninjutsu skills. Unfortunately, she was left blind from her left eye and she refused the medic nin to do anything with the burnt scar. The scar tissue still aches during somedays. Koharu still despises her teammates for not listening her and usually reminds them about it when she sees them, just to spite them. At the age of 18, Koharu became a jonin after years of taking missions, training and creating her own jutsu. She’s very proud of this accomplishment. She was introduced to the other jonins and as such, she would often go to missions with them or with either chunin. She had the occasional single missions.When Koharu was 23, she had her own students and was known to be a harsh sensei, but her students still appreciated and respected her. When she was 24, she would often meet the other senseis of Rookie 9 and Team Gai, and they would often bitch about their teams and the lack of teamwork. She and her team would sometimes meet the other teams and sometimes they would train together. Her own team also attended to Chunin Exams but failed the second test, though Koharu wasn’t sad about it. When Orochimaru attacked, Koharu was helping defending the academy with Iruka. The three years went smoothly and Koharu acted normally though her team had become chunin. When the fourth shinobi war began, she started fighting along the other shinobis to protect and have peace. She ultimately died after confronting Iruka about her feelings, kissed him, said goodbye and prepared to use her own created jutsu and dying in the process, protecting and healing her allies while burning the Zetsu clones.

Her past runs very smoothly and has great detail. The events of even the fourth great ninja war shows impact as well as what made her this way and how she is and her relationships. Even the fact she was left blind by a attack shows great character and the scar that will stay with her forever.

Relationship with characters: Ever since academy years Koharu has had feelings towards Umino Iruka, her childhood friend and classmate. Koharu never managed say anything to Iruka and so she entered into the friendzone for many years. She would often hangout with him and Mizuki and even when she failed the Chunin Exams the first time, Iruka still would spare some time to be with her. It seemed that Iruka also had feelings towards Koharu but since she never showed outright interest towards him, Iruka didn’t really say anything. So, in summary, all of the pining could have been avoided if either side would have said something to each other. Koharu would often fantasize about her and Iruka being a couple and doing what people would do in the romance novels. After Naruto left to train with Jiraya, Koharu would listen Iruka blabbing on about Naruto’s crazy antics even if she had heard the same story dozens of times. In the end, their love ended in a bittersweet tragedy. They shared their first and last kiss and after that their hopeful future after years of pining and being in friend-zone was shattered into a million pieces. Koharu sacrificed herself for the greater good and Iruka was left alone. Interestingly in Iruka’s Eternal Tsukuyomi dream, Koharu and him would have been married and Iruka was the Headmaster of Academy and they would have had two children of their own.

This relationship shows also the real aspects of people having crushes but not saying anything till it's too late. The fact that it took many years for this and instead of a happily ever after like a fairytale tragedy struck was a good example that life and love isn't perfect.

Other As Koharu has a strong fire affinity, she can only use Katon jutsus. It’s not classified as Kekkei Genkai, but just a very strong affinity. Her ninjutsus include; The Basics such as; Clone Jutsu, Body Replacement Jutsu and Transformation Jutsu. However, Koharu also knows; Shadow Clone Jutsu Fireball Jutsu Grand Fireball Jutsu Phoenix Sage Flower Jutsu Fire Breath Jutsu Misty Flames Dance Jutsu Giant Flame Bombs And her own created Jutsu called 'Phoenix Reborn Jutsu’ or ‘Fenikkusu Umarekawatta no Jutsu’. This particular jutsu needs near perfect chakra control and good chakra reserves, the more you have chakra, the longer you can use this technique. However, this jutsu will kill the user and should be used as a last resort. When activating this technique, the user will be engulfed by fire and will take the form of a huge phoenix. The user will be able to fly in this form. The user can either burn the enemies with the fire chakra around them and sending waves of fire at them or heal the allies by giving your own chakra to them. Therefore, you have to have good chakra reserves. In the end, the fire around the user will be snuffed and the user loses the ability to fly. The user’s skin will be ashen gray and eyes glowing coals. As reference to see what the activation and jutsu seems like I took inspiration in Chise’s transformation into a phoenix from ‘Mahō Tsukai no Yome’ or ‘The Ancient Magus' Bride’ in English.

These attacks are really good, the fact that she has not only her own jutsus but also already made ones is a great way to show her fire based moveset. The made up ones sound really good and has a good balance of weak and strong. Great job.

Final Analysis- This OC has nothing wrong with it and has a good format as well. She would make for a great main character in a story. I can honestly tell you put a lot of work in her.
