Genre : I plan on just using this character for a short, sweet, and slice of life-ish story to express my love for Kakashi. I always get really into making my characters so this may be long winded, but I am proud of my character backstory god danggit! Also, for Shippuden because I’m trash who prefers it more than the original.

I like this, the fact that your saying it's going to be a romance story already tells the reader that it's going to have romance so don't be mad if it doesn't have all that action and I admire that. Plus it's fine if you prefer shippuden over the original, I won't judge.

Clan : Umu ; originally meaning “to deliver life,” bastardized to “give birth” or “deliver” through generations. Originates from the Land of Iron, known for importing and delivery (mainly food and crop).

This is great, that name makes perfect sense and has a nice origin as well. Plus using the land of iron is a great touch sense they are known for importing and delivering, nice.

Family : Tadou Umu (father, samurai), Natsuo Umu (mother), Tetsui Umu (younger brother) - all alive, lots of extended family that don’t really need names

Great, it's also nice to see she's a samurai which is a lot different from a ninja. I believe out of the hundreds of OCs I reviewed below 10 was where Samurais was for Naruto. Plus the sentimental value of the armor is a great connection for the clan.

Battle Style : Having to lug around heavy armor as a samurai Hanae has great stamina, but without it has a glass jaw as she relied on it to take the physical side of the battles for her. As an Iaido user, she has great power in kenjutsu but critically lacks in other areas of jutsu other than summoning and blade related chakra control. Seeing as the Land of Iron is a peaceful country she has had no real battle experience other than sparring with fellow samurai and family.

Nice, and her battle way is justified with stamina like you said, the heavy armor pulling on her muscles would give her the same results like Rock Lee's legs but with her whole body sense it's full body armor. If that's a reference than it's a great one.

Appearance : She has the olive complexion common in the Umu clan (absorbs heat in frigid climates), shoulder blade length wavy burgundy hair, dark brown eyes with thick but blunt eyelashes (also an Umu trait, protects against glare and snow blindness). Outfits mainly consist of dresses and skirt outfits with a black apron when working and basic pants and shirts when harvesting. Hanae also has a scar on her left cheekbone from an accident while messing with her dad’s katana with her younger brother.

Nice, she has a great and basic look to her that also has it's uniqueness to it. The fact that she also has a scar from a past mistake also shows more about her and her character.

Personality : Hanae is rather carefree and optimistic, loving to focus on work and feeling happiest when selling her hard-grown products or chatting with customers. She has a workaholic streak, but it is the defining point of her personality. Hanae feels she has no individuality or anything that makes her interesting, inwardly making her feel quite hollow, so she focuses all of her energy on her work and the image she has gained from the public. Outside of work she focuses on maintaining her crops and finding new things to grow and new techniques to improve her harvest.

Her workaholic mindset ties in greatly with the clan and the bases of harvesting. She feels hollow because she feels she has no personality which many people in the real world feel as well. This just shows more of her persoanlity and character.

Past : Born to the Umu clan, Hanae lived happily with her family in the Land of Iron despite hating the cold. She formed a contract with and learned to summon Hikoboshi at the age of thirteen in order to help with the family business. Taking interest in the work her father did as a samurai, Hanae decided to follow in his footsteps and train as a samurai. She continued this for seven years before realizing that neither walk of life made her as happy as the idea of being the one to grow the herbs and vegetables that she had helped transport. With the graces of her family, the Land of Iron, and Mifune, Hanae applied for visa to move to Konohagakure where the temperate climate would allow her to follow her dreams.

A very smart choice on her part. Her past also shows more of her character and her dream. Not to mention that was a perfect time for forming a contract and training with it. Nice job.

-Hanae has the distinctive scent of mulch from harvesting and tobacco from the plants she grows and smokes from a kiseru pipe
-Hates sudden cold fronts, ghost stories, and rude customers
-Loves beef, children, cloudless days, and long conversations
-She has a habit of checking out male customers when they come into the store

This is really cool and gives me more insight to her character. It shows her little pervert side and her loving side. This helps define her character.

Final Analysis- This OC is really good and has great qualities to boot. The fact that she's a samurai already makes her different but she also has a great personality that I think would work greatly for a love story with Kakashi. Not to mention i got a very good idea from only so much which is proof that she was worked hard on. I honestly can't wait to see this OC's love story.
