OC 51 (Jiro Akiyama)

This OC is also SadiaRiaz4 I hope you like it.
_________________________________________

Name: Jiro Akiyama

Nice name

Age: 12 (Part 1), 14 (Part 2), 18 (The Last) and 31 (Boruto)

Nice, so he is the same age as the Naruto group.

Gender: Male

Cool

Residence: Sanchō no mura (origin), Konohagakure (After the Third Shinobi War)

Alright, thanks.

Family: Kaede Akiyama (mother, dead), Kazuya Akiyama (father, dead), Mei Misaki (cousin, dead), Kanade Tachibana (cousin, love interest), Shu Fujimoto (cousin)

Nice, and thanks for the life status and role of each family member.

Appearance: He has short, silver-brown hair which is usually well-kept and aqua blue eyes. He has a pale complexion which, although not unhealthy, refuses to gain some color. In Part 1, he wears black trousers, a white turtleneck with a green tunic over-top and brown leather boots. He also wears a brown belt around the abdomen which later has a sword attached. His built is toned for his age although he is still a bit scrawny. He wears his forehead protector around his left arm.

This is great, however, the only thing I would change is the leather boots. No character in Naruto wears leather or even closed toed shoes for that matter. Maybe he has similar boots to Sakura's but more manly, that's what I would recommend.

Nice

In Part 2, he wears a white T-shirt, green coat-like over-top which is said to have been sewn by Kanade and black pants. He keeps his hood over his head most of the time. He still wears the brown belt and the sword. By now, his hair has grown a bit longer but is still well-groomed because of all the time Kanade spends fussing over it. Due to intense training, his muscles are better defined and he loses his scrawny look. However, Shu states that his knees and elbows are still "bony as hell". He has also gained some height. He still wears his forehead protector around his arm, although he's change the color from blue to black.

Nice. This is really good and the fact that he keeps some things and the same color scheme shows that it's him just shippudden.

In the Last, he wears a black tank top with a forest green flak jacket over it. He is now officially the tallest on his team, save Anko (their sensei). He wears black pants and black boots, along with black finger-less gloves. He now wears his forehead protector around his forehead in a slightly slanting way.

Ok, everything here is fine but the same thing with the boots.

I kinda noticed something wrong in history, so here's the new version:

The clan is one of the oldest clans of Sancho no mura, a village located in the north of Mizu between two mountains (hence the name "mountain peak village"). Due to the cold climate, the clan is used to surviving harsh winters from an early age. Most of the information about the clan's early history are lost in time after its destruction and many theories have been made about them, yet nothing is confirmed.

This is really good, and it adds that little mystery around it.

During the Third Shinobi War, although it wasn't a shinobi village, the clan was allied with Konoha for providing resources like minerals and stuff. During the war, the village was burned to the ground by enemy forces, killing off almost everyone. By the time help arrived from Konoha, not many people were left. Over time, most of the survivors committed suicide due to the depression and only a few survived from the clan and its relatives. They were brought to Konoha as the Hokage thought that it was the least he could do for the village. After the Nine Tailed Fox's attack, the clan is almost completely wiped out, save from four children. Even out of them, only one bears the clan name.

Ok, this is the most unique way to kill off a clan so far. It wasn't just one night, or anything, it happened over time. Amazing.

Personality: Out of the three of them, Jiro is usually the most sensible but not the most mature. He tends to be cold and distant to others and likes to keep things professional. He always lets his emotions get the best of him and charges into things blindly when angry. Normally, he usually thinks things through the most out of his team and hates stating the obvious, especially when Shu fails to notice the simplest of things. He can be seen as power-hungry and believes that power is the only way to prevail over an enemy, until Minotaur punches some into him. To his cousins, while he acts the same way as he does with others, he can at least smile around them, though more around Kanade than Shu. Due to his emotional personality, his rage and despair makes him want to have revenge for the destruction of his clan and village. However, nothing is more important to him than his remaining family and he would do anything for them, even if he doesn't show it. He can also be extremely critical of others.

Wait wait, he's cold and distance but also very emotional? Those things clash very hard. Take Sasuke and Sakura for example, Sasuke was always distant, in no way was he emotional, with Sakura she was very emotional but no where near distant. Those two characteristics don't clash for a single character. It would have to be one or the other. When thinking of a personality it is very important to have groups and flaws that could work for any personality but cold and distant with emotional don't even sound right, let alone work.

Generally, he can come off as a typical rude and edgy character. However, underneath his tough exterior, he is probably the one who needs the most support on his team. He hates showing weakness to people despite having thousands of insecurities. He is afraid of getting close to people and losing them and is willing to hurt himself to avoid getting close to people.

So is he just putting on a act or which one is his real personality? What's Jiro's true face?

Jiro has a thing about death that makes him angry, sad and desperate at the mention of it, particularly when its about his teammates. He hates any mention of dying and avoids the subject like a plague.

That is very relatable to many people in the real world as well. So many people can relate to Jiro in that sense.

After having some sense pounded in him, Jiro gradually lets go of his cold behavior and starts becoming friendlier (at least with his teammates). He even claims to have nothing more important than them in his life. He still has his fears and doubts but, unlike before, he is willing to push them aside and work with people. In the start, he is rarely seen smiling and snaps at people for the littlest things. However, he later begins to smile more, laugh at some occasions and even throw in a joke here and there at times. This is noted by the Rookie Nine, so much that some of them even think he's been replaced by a look-alike.

Ok but who pounded some sense into him? And who wanted to do that in the first place? It is said already in the personality that he is pretty sensible so which one is it? Is he sensible or does he have to get it beat into him first? These are just a couple questions that need answers.

He usually functions as the team's strategist and at times even its leader since he has the most common sense than all of them put together (Yes, including Anko). Although he still gets annoyed easily as compared to his easy-going teammates, he has a better check on his emotions.

So he's cold, but doesn't show his emotions, and has more common sense of being a ninja than his own sensei? Team at best, but not sensei, the sensei been through the ninja rank and knows what to do in certain situations and more while Jiro and his team are still learning. So even though Anko is a wild cat, she still has common sense and is actually quite smart.

In Part 2, not much has changed about him. His skills have grown, he starts trusting people more and stuff like that. He stops relying on his shadow as much as he did in Part 1, claiming too much dependence on it to be a weakness. He still has the thing with death and is still willing to get revenge, just not alone.

Wait shadow? I don't remember seeing anything about a shadow. I still would recommend the name change.

Battle Style: His battle style is based on the strength behind his attacks and mobility. While he focuses on ninjutsu, his strength mainly lies in taijutsu. His weakest area is genjutsu, seeing as he never had the patience to learn it. Lightning jutsus are his forte, which can also be seen in his shadow.

Ok so he's already good at taijutsu and is working on ninjutsu? That's very good.

Past: Jiro was born in Konoha, on the same day as Shu. He lost his mother to cancer and his father to her dream of exploring the whole world. After Shu and Kanade's parents died as well, the three lived with Ibiki who, despite his reluctance, was given the three of them to care for since the Hokage believed that Ibiki needed people in his life other than his peers at the T&I. Surprisingly, Ibiki made a decent parent-figure. He wasn't afraid to point out their flaws and punish them for acting out.

This is great and sounds like ibuki's actual character. Great job keeping him the same.

Unlike his cousins, Jiro had a more practical approach to life. While the other three never questioned about their origins, Jiro did and was the only one to find out what happened to their clan.Although they were cousins, the four of them were raised like siblings and had a deeper understanding of each other. So, they knew when to push each other and when to leave each other alone.

Nice, so they have that beautiful sibling relationship even though they aren't. Cute.

While Jiro was the most distant out of all of them, the four always managed to drag him into their mischief. Jiro would roll his eyes at first, thinking that they were kidding, the others would practically drag him and when he would realize that they were serious, he would give Ibiki a pleading look who would just wave it off with an amused look. Then, Jiro would scowl and Ibiki would just laugh at his misery, knowing that he actually liked it when they did that.

Ok, so this is showing his cold and distant side. That's good.

After a few years, Mei died and Kanade lost her left eye in an accident. The latter was given Mei's eye with an activated dojutsu so that the clan's abilities could live on. At first, Jiro completely closed himself off from others, locking himself in his room for days without eating or sleeping until Shu and Kanade managed to drag him out of there. First, they told him off for leaving them alone and then they fussed over him for weeks.

Ok, it is good to cuss him out because he wasn't the only person affected by it. I mean damn one of them lost their eye.

At the academy, Jiro swore to avenge his family and trained day and night for it. His rivalry with Shu would push them both to be better than they ever thought they could be and Kanade would give them the verbal trashing of their lives when they would return with injuries and Ibiki would add his few cents in as well.

Ok, that's pretty good but how old is he when he takes his training this serious?

As they grew older, Jiro began noticing the village's unfair treatment to Naruto and confronted Ibiki about it, learning the truth about the Nine Tailed Fox. He decided not to get involved or to tell anyone since it was Naruto's problem. He did, however, have some grudging respect for him.

Wait, so ibuki just straight up told him. I know the villagers knew about the attack because many of them were there but Ibiki just thought he was old and mature enough to know?

Later, he is put on the same team as Kanade and Shu by pure coincidence with Anko as their sensei, who he had declared as a "nut-case" a long, long time ago. His reaction to that was face-palming while muttering, "Spare me."

Well the ones like this usually have the funniest times and moments with their sensei.

Shadow:

Name: Minotaur
Appearance: Minotaur is bluish-green in appearance with yellow eyes. He is very muscular and experienced in throwing punches.

Wait, so he has some type of shadow that just follows him? Why not make it a jutsu instead? Or some type of mutation that gone wrong? As I said the Naras are the ones with the shadows and the fact that he is considered a shadow would raise red flags to anyone reading him.

Nice

Personality: Minotaur is a bit of a wise-guy, always cracking jokes at other people's expenses and throwing sarcastic comments at his enemies. He has the talent of turning a fist fight into a verbal fight which Jiro uses to distract the opponent without his knowledge. Despite this, Minotaur can be pretty wise at times, knowing when Jiro has reached his limits and chastising him for letting his emotions control him. He knows when to be serious and always analyzes the situation closely.

Ok so when did he meet Minotaur? I don't have any other information other than this so I can't really place where he is in Jiro's past.

Relationships With Other Characters:

Shu: Jiro and Shu are always at each other's throats and love to get on each others nerves. Despite this, they are actually quite close and can understand each other better than anyone aside from Kanade, who has summarized their relationship in one sentence. "They're like brothers but also like rivals."

Cool, that's a very nice relationship to have with someone. So you can improve but also have love and support.

Kanade: Jiro and Kanade have a much more stable relationship than he had with Shu. Kanade always fusses over both of them and isn't afraid of telling them off. She isn't afraid of voicing her opinion which amuses him quite a bit. At first, he is hesitant to approach her with his feelings but when he decides to apologize for being a big jerk to her, she makes the first move and kisses him as a penalty.

Uhh ok, this is ok and great for a love interest.

Naruto: In Jiro's opinion, he's a knucklehead with a heart bigger than his brain. He loves to tease him and poke fun at him but also has respect for him. Naruto reminds Jiro of Shu in many ways and, therefore, has his trust.

So he never truly meets Naruto but the whole konoha 12 says they see him change to more caring person? How does that work if they never knew him? I mean the relationship should be if they met, knew, and actually hung out with them which is the case with Shu and Kanade but not with the canon characters. However, I will give the benefit of still going through with it even though it never says he meets any of them or even knows their name.

Sasuke: The two of them are bitter rivals, since their pride would never let them admit defeat. While he understands where Sasuke's coming from, wit the whole revenge and closed off thing, he barely sympathies with him, believing that it would only make it worse.

Bitter rivals but they never met? Is it in his head that he thinks that him and Sasuke are rivals? Even though he understands Sasuke he decides to not even talk to him but make him a  rival? Who declared the rival?

Sakura: Jiro avoids Sakura as much as he can. However, he still helps from time to time when Iruka pairs them up for projects and exercises.

So he never meets her but he wants to avoid her? What kind of sense is that? I doubt the two ever talked either like how he never talked to Sasuke or Naruto. It just makes no sense how he has these relationships like he knew the three for years when their not even mentioned in the past.

Shikamaru: They never speak to each other much. Although his complains always tick him off, Jiro can say that he has some brain, unlike some people (Shu and Naruto)

Why does it tick off Jiro if he complains himself? Isn't it in the past that he complains about getting dragged into stuff which Shikamaru has as well. If anything shouldn't the two be closer sense they share that?

Hinata: They barely interact with each other. They often meet at clan meetings but Hinata's too shy to say a word to him. However, he still has some respect for her since she, aside from Kanade, is the only decent kunoichi in their class. That, and she could always give him a challenge in taijutsu. The two are a bit like rivals when it comes to taijutsu, but Jiro is careful not to push her too much since he doesn't want to lose his best taijutsu opponent.

Ok now that's just buttering up Hinata. Saying she is the only other decent Kunoichi is a lie. Sakura was Kunoichi of the year with Ino actually being in second, Hinata was third so she wouldn't be decent. And if you make Kanada stronger than Hinata than she would actually be the 4th weakest under Sakura, Ino, and Kanade. Plus Hinata used to run away from her fights though she would train which is why she made her quote she will never run away again. So them being rivals also isn't justified, especially if he is also rivals with Sasuke. Neji, is more rival material or Lee if your going for Taijutsu.

Shino: The two of them are sometimes paired up for assignments and stuff and have mutual respect for each other. Jiro is a bit interested in his kikachu and how they could be used in battle. The two are on good terms and even more so after Jiro loses his "I-must-do-everything-alone" mindset.

That's ok, Shino is still in character as well and him and Jiro seem most likely to actually be friends out of them. I'm taking his personality and Shino's and they have some very similar qualities out of everyone on this list.

Trivia:
- Jiro has an unhealthy obsession with the people on the KIA memorial and has done an unhealthy amount of research on most, of not all, of them.

Ok, and sense his fear is death it justifies his search.

- He has a fear of fire.

Ok, but from what?

Final Analysis- This OC is ok but has tons of holes and questions that need to be answered. Also somethings that need to be added. One thing is also using a bias in the relationship with characters. When making a OC or story you should always put away your bias or you will get called out for it. I seen it too many times to count. Hinata is a good shinobi but Ino and Sakura are very strong as well, if they weren't than they wouldn't of gotten first and second place. So saying she is the only decent one besides your own OC is nothing but a bias thought. That's like me saying rock Lee is terrible in Taijutsu while only Sasuke is good at Taijutsu. It's a bias opinion and you made that mistake by putting it in the relationship with characters. Other than that there is no actual scenes with the canon characters to show how they even got to that relationship. They aren't mentioned in his past or anything so where the hell did they form a relationship? There are also tons of questions that need answers. I am only trying to help with your OC and don't get me wrong it's great to have Canon enemies but using a bias to do it instead of using skills, personality, and technique too is just plain wrong. Thank you for letting me review your OC it was a honor.
