Genre: Fanfiction. Got the idea from thinking about how the other two genin teams that graduated with Neji’s team were never shown or talked about.

Oh so about a year older, duh you said the other teams with neji. What am I thinking?

Gender: Male

Family: Honoka Tokugawa (mother, alive, forced in seclusion by her clan so he doesn’t know she’s alive), Masami Akimoto (father, alive), Baku Tokugawa (half-brother, alive, meets him during time-skip). He has lots of family on his moms side (they don’t claim him until after the 4th ninja war because his dad is a poor), and he has his dad’s parents (who he doesn’t interact with until time skip).

Appearance: Here’s an image, but a detail that’s hard to see is that he has freckles and natural bags under his eyes.

Personality: Although Hide is usually reserved, he has an inner flame (no pun intended) that will one day shine bright. He is always scared of being misunderstood so he tends to stay quiet with larger crowds. However, if he’s around people like him or people who he trust, you really see the difference in his personalities. He’s not afraid to be joyous and throw his ideas out if he’s comfortable enough with you. Hide is guided by his principals more than he is guided by logic or rules. However not everyone understands why he is this way which can leads to arguments if they disagree with his actions. Hide doesn’t know better though because he only does what he thinks is right. He also wants to understand what his place in the world is so he’s open to trying new things.

Nice and it just shows that when he is around people he can love and trust he let's loose, very nice.

Good Traits: He’s able to communicate deeply with others and lend a hand when it comes to ideas. He’s a team player and always thinks about others before himself. He learns easily through spoken words and pictures. He’s also a great listener so he catches on to things other people might not. He also catches onto new SPOKEN languages (he learns two during time skip because *spoiler*) and meanings behind symbols fairly quickly. Since he’s good with communication, he’s able to solve problems with MOST people very peacefully (of course not including enemies).1-2 Primary

Nice but what languages are these? I don't think in Naruto there are other languages because either you watch it in dub or sub it's all one language but I can see sign language and Braille as the two languages, that way he can communicate with the blind and deaf. It's just a suggestion.

School-Academy Days: He was homeless at first. Due to the uncontrollable dragon DNA in him, he can’t bathe in cold water (or drink it. he waits until it’s at least room temperature, which is why he prefers tea). It makes him extremely sick. He also can’t be in cold weather. When his dad becomes a ninja again, he’s able to bathe in hot water. That’s why you see him cleaned up.

This is great, and you added a great flaw by using a resource found everywhere being cold water. Nice job

2-3 (Year 1 of being genin) -

(Year 3-4 of being Genin) (before time skip): He wears a scarf as he’s insecure about the Dragon scales that are forming on his body. He only lets people see if he’s training or relaxing at “home”.

3 Time skip. He changes into #4 outfit though. He has a teacher that teaches him the basics of his dragon abilities, so he can finally controls when his scales come out (bye bye scarf). He puts his forehead protector on his wrist as it was causing him to break out on his forehead. He also has that bandaged arm because he severely burned it during training (he’s insecure about it.)

3 (with # 4 outfit)-4 is what he looks like Shippuden.

4 is what he looks like in the last- a few years before Boruto

5 is what he looks like Boruto +. He finally isn’t insecure of his scars and isn’t afraid to hide them. He gets a tattoo that marks the beginning of his clan. He watches over the woods outside of Konoha. He is Naruto’s third man (after Sasuke and Shikamaru).

These are all really good, it really shows him growing up.

Bad Traits: Unfortunately for Hide his good and bad traits go hand in hand. Since he’s such a good communicator, he often tells people they can rely on him. But sometimes too many people need his help all at once which causes him to be overwhelmed and deject. This makes him shut down and impacts whatever project or mission he may be working on in negative way. Since he focuses on others, he tends to ignore his own self needs which can make him tired, grumpy, and just plain unhealthy without him noticing. This includes lack of sleep and starving himself. Another thing with communication, if someone is just set on not making peace (for example Kiyo (his enemy)), then one of two things will happen. He will either get depressed, unmotivated, and dejected or he will get extremely angry and lash out on the person for not seeing it his way. Basically if you don’t see it his way then you’re wrong. Although he usually has a good ideas moral and emotional wise, he sometimes can’t understand why people don’t see his way of thinking. This is also why he tends to stay reserved as he tries to avoid conflicts like this and misses out on the opportunity to make different kinds of friends. Since he usually tries to see the bright side of things, sometimes he forgets the people who he respects and care about the most, aren’t always perfect. This can cause him to get upset when they do something wrong or against his morals. He also can sometimes try and do too much for so many people that he neglects the needs of the people closest to him. It’s also a real challenge to him if rules go against his morals. This is exactly why he couldn’t join something like the Anbu. Finally, he doesn’t take criticism that well. He takes it as a personal attack on him and will think that he’s just not good enough and that he won’t ever improve. That also drives people away from wanting to get to know him cause nobody likes stepping around eggshells when talking to someone.

This is really good. You really shows how his bad traits affect him, and it's not just it half do, no they affect him completely. Amazing job.

These are all really good and the way you made it stronger as time goes on is perfect, you start off weak and get stronger, great job.

A little knowledge about his Second Stage:
He first went into full second Stage on a mission and in his Second Chunnin exams (cannon one with Naruto). It first activates from heightened emotions or his body trying to survive. However later on he learns how to activate his genes to activate this mode.

So in his Dragon form (second stage), he gains enhanced strength, speed, smell, eyesight, and reflexes. (But let me just put out there he is still no where as strong as Sakura or as fast as Rock Lee post time skip). In his human form he also has those enhanced but not as significant as he does in this mode. He also grows Dragon lungs that help him produce fire without the use of chakra. He also forms scales that protect his body from immense heat and are extremely strong (meaning its hard to stab him without chakra)

(During Time skip though he does improve a lot on looking at others point of view and taking criticism).

This is really good for his dragon form, it also brings a bit of uniqueness on the table for changing up the way how dragon fire is produced by giving him dragon lungs. That's a nice touch.

Battle: Hide uses Taijutsu and Ninjutsu. He’s not a big fan of weapons nor genjutsu. However, he does develop something during time skip that helps him make more accurate fire ninjutsu attacks. They are two claw like rings that go on his middle and pointer finger on both hands. He’s a Genin in the very start and slowly makes his way to Jonin (around age 19-20)

In the first part of his Genin career he pretty much just swings his fist and doesn’t know any jutsu besides basic academy techniques and his survival skills. His sensei eventually teaches him his specialized Taijutsu and gets him a teacher to learn fire techniques.The downsides though. The dragon lungs are too big for his body so his skin can start to rip apart if he’s in this form too long. He also starts to boil from the inside out if he uses his fire breath for too long. After he uses this mode he usually ends up immobilized for days, with internal burns that can lead to external burns in his human form. He also has to be put in cold temperatures as his body heats up to fast at once which his human body can’t tolerate. He also gets headaches and heat strokes from this mode. During time skip he is able to reduce the fatality of these effects though as he learns how to control his body temperature and other things. But of course he doesn’t perfect this mode until about the

Last- Boruto. And even then it’s not all the way perfect.

All of this for his battle is amazing, it really shows how he came to be the powerful man he is. Also thanks for the drawing it is really nice.

Past: Before Hide was born, his mom had fell in love with a poor man. Since she was a noble, her clan did not accept this. Of course the couple ran away. After spending all their money on supplies, clothes, and food, they escaped to a piece of land Masami owned (which was a cave surrounded by trees and a lake) that was about 30-45 minutes (walking) from Konoha. About a year after Hide had been born, his dad grew very ill and they had unfortunately ran out of medicine. So Hide’s mom took off to Konoha go get a friend of her’s to heal him. On her way back home, members of her clan had spotted her and took her back home. Her friend had promised to heal her lover and tell him the news. Hide’s dad was heartbroken and had to make a tough decision. He decided to raise Hide to believe his mother was dead, so that he would not try to look for her and have to face rejection.Masami had a hard time raising a kid by himself, especially one that was a special case like Hide was. Although he was extremely helpful at time (such as hunting, building, and creating things that helped them out), he couldn’t take showers or baths and refused to drink cold water. Masami knew what this meant and sent Hide to primary school and the academy so that he could harness the power within him. However he did not calculate Hide getting bullied for smelling bad and being dirty. This made Hide very self conscious and turned him into a people pleaser. Masami, recognizing his mistakes, went back to the life that he wanted to avoid so he could create bonds with his son— a ninja. When Masami was sent out on missions, Hide would stay with his dad’s friend. There he met his first friend— Kasumi. He got cleaned up and eventually became a lot more open and happy. Hide agreed to become a ninja when he found out his dad was only doing his job because of him. He wants to save up enough money he gets from missions to buy his dad the restaurant he always wanted. He also wants to be more independent and not have to rely on his dad too much. He loves and respects his dad very much, and wants him to be as happy as possible.

This is really good past, it shows the backlash of events and Hide's purpose for becoming a ninja. I also love how you show some people that aren't in canon like Kasumi.

Relationship with Canon Characters: Hide met Naruto when he was a kid and gave him food before. They didn’t really interact after that until the Chunin exams. He’s friends with TenTen and Lee (they graduated together). He’s not a big fan of Neji at first (he called him weak after he failed his first Chunin exams), but they become friends later on. He only becomes friends with MOST of the other genin once they start going on missions together. He doesn’t particularly dislike Sasuke, but he does think he’s a traitor to the village once he leaves. Other than that he doesn’t have any problems with any other canon characters. OC characters are a different story though.

I see, this is really good, and the fact that he doesn't have a problem with most of them is great. Because they didn't do anything to him so why would he hate them. Thank you so much for making a logical OC.

Other: Okay so he has Dragon DNA in him (2 Chapters worth of Back Story, fully thought out, and hard to summarize without there being lots of questions asked) which allows him to go into his Second Stage. His family is not part of a clan and he does not have a Kekkei Genkai. The only person who is able to activate the dragon DNA is him. Everyone else before him were just carriers. His destiny is to revive a clan of Dragons that were able to cause wide-scale destruction and naturally control elements that they were affiliated with without the use chakra. Of course this isn’t exactly how it’s going to go because Hide is a human and human’s have limitations to what they can do.

I don't have any questions it's great that he is the start of a clan. It's a whole different take instead of being part of one already. Everything needs a starting point and he is perfect for being the first to revive.

Final Analysis- This OC is really good and very thought out, plus the pictures with him is amazing. I can easily tell you put time and effort into this OC, he has many unique points that different him from others and one thing that caught my eye the most is being the start of a clan, I haven't even revived a OC that does that without being in the Era of Madara. This is really good and I honestly think he is ready for a fanfic. I know you mentioned chapters so I'm sure he'll get one. Thank you so much for letting me review your OC, it was a honor.
