HEY GUYS! As promised, there's the next generation in this chapter. This is purely a one shot for my own book and there will be no more chapters after this. Nada. Nothing. It's completely and totally over! Here's the cast--> [If you diss it I will murder you]

Sofia Carson as Danielle Winters

Sean O'Donnel as Carlos Tackett

Sabrina Carpenter as Delilah Daniels

Lizzy Greene as Darla Daniels

Rowan Blanchard as Marlene Tackett

-^-

"Mom, no way," came the incredulous sound of Danielle Winters from her room. I sighed loudly and walked towards the large, mahogany door which had large signs, posters and pictures plastered to it.

"What is it?" I asked, rolling my eyes.

Danielle glared at me, her normally warm brown eyes narrowed down to two harsh slits. "I look like a praying mantis," she hissed, before gesturing towards her body.

I shrugged. "That's one hot praying mantis," I said, pacifying her.

"Mom!" she exclaimed, looking angry and bewildered. "Carlos is never going to let me hear the end of this," she whined, burying her face in her hands.

"You give Carlos more attention than he needs," pointed out Delilah, my second daughter, as she slathered some lip gloss over her lips. "I ship you guys so hard, though."

Danielle glared at her. "Mom. Is. In. The. Same. Room."

I put a hand on my heart, looking offended. "I am the coolest mom in the land," I defended hotly.

Delilah grinned at me. "Sure, Mom, whatever you want to believe," she said, shrugging playfully.

I rolled my eyes and turned to Danielle. "You look fine, honey, why would I lie to you?" I asked.

Danielle's voluminous hair was bounced across her shoulders in brown waves and a green, figure hugging dress that flared out at the waist complimented her tanned skin perfectly. She was genuinely really pretty, but she was constantly complaining about how she'd been stuck with the brown hair and brown eyes from Dylan's side rather than get my own blue eyes and blonde hair like both my other girls, Delilah and Darla.

Yeah, we were big on the same letter.

Danielle huffed, impatient. "Okay, are you really that eager to ruin my life!?" she exclaimed, looking majorly pissed. "First you name me Danielle Daniels, and we had to go to a registrar in second grade because I got bullied because of it. Then you make sure the wrong genes are pushed into my body. Then you get me hideous clothes that make me look like various kinds of bugs. Then you force me into hanging out with FREAKING CARLOS TACKETT. What more do you want!? I get that I'm ugly, don't punish me for it, okay?"

Just then, I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist and I smiled, turning around and kissing Dylan. He turned and frowned, his arms still secure around my hips. "Who's ugly?" he asked, confused.

"Me," grumbled Danielle, rolling her eyes.

Dylan clicked his tongue in disbelief. "Nope, I'm super-hot, so you're obviously good looking too," he said, shrugging innocently.

Danielle rolled her eyes. "I hate how I have no say in this. I will be as rude to Carlos as I want and you can't say anything to me, because he's such a jerk to me."

Darla walked in, her hands on her hips. She'd just become a preteen, and she thought she was the coolest little kid in the world. She was the cutest one of the lot, with Dylan's dimples across her fair skin. Delilah had taken after me completely with her sassy nature and crazy attitude. Darla had taken after Dylan with a more cocky nature and I'm pretty sure she had a boyfriend.

Danielle, however, was the complete opposite. She was closeted and was probably the biggest bookworm I knew, along with being antisocial and socially awkward. I think she had one friend, and as much as I tried to push her, she just stayed in her shell.

"Please don't," I begged. Hers and Carlos's fights would go on for hours, her with her snappy and rude remarks and him with his mean ones.

Danielle shook her head, her hair falling across her face as she did so. "No way. There's nothing in this world that would ever make me be nice to him."

Dylan smiled slyly, and he walked towards her with a wide grin. "How about that Mercedes you wanted for your birthday this year?" he asked, challengingly.

Delilah let out a dramatic gasp and placed a hand on her heart. "You wouldn't!"

Danielle's eyes were the size of saucers. "What about it?" she asked, whispering.

"I could get it for you," he said, shrugging nonchalantly.

Danielle placed her hands on her hips. "I'm up for a bargain of five months in advance."

Dylan shook his head. "Two months," he said, cutting it down.

Danielle shook her head, obstinate. Her stubborn nature was possibly the only thing she'd gotten from me. "Make that three and a half and you have a deal."

Dylan grumbled something before putting his hand out. "You have a deal."

Danielle squealed loudly and began jumping up and down. "Ohmigosh, this is insane!" she shrieked.

Delilah rolled her eyes. "Louder, I'm pretty sure even our next door neighbors want to be graced with this news," she said, combing through her blonde curls.

Danielle rolled her eyes exaggeratedly at her sister, who just winked cheekily. Suddenly, the doorbell rang and I screamed excitedly, knowing that Deeds and Jase must have arrived. Although the four of us met very often and our kids even went to the same school, it was still thrilling to be with them and know that we'll be spending the rest of our lives with the people we loved.

I opened the door, but it was only a courier guy who'd delivered a gift. "What's that?" asked Dylan, and I shrugged and opened the package.

It was a dress, with the signature emblem of Cady's brand, Vinaigrette. On the tag, there were the words 'The Starlight Collection'.

"Aw!" I exclaimed, touching the silky fabric of the midnight blue dress made of an elastic, smooth material until the waist and then melted into a gorgeous chiffon with sparkles, but not in an overdone way.

"Wow, how guilty is she?" asked Dylan, grinning. "I think you should wear it for tonight. You'll look gorgeous... I mean, more gorgeous than usual, of course."

I smiled, walking to the bathroom to get changed. Being a celebrity interviewer of a famous talk show, I'd actually met Cady during a conference just before a famous runway show in Paris. It was a bit awkward, and turns out I had to interview HER which had to have gone down in the list of most mortifyingly weird encounters ever.

Especially because the question of bullying came up.

Cringe.

Cady then proceeded to go to the bathroom, and then never showed up after that. My extra supportive fiancé at that time, Dylan, just sat there laughing like there would be no tomorrow.

Double cringe.

I slipped the dress over me, and it looked gorgeous. Cady had gotten my fit perfectly and had even paired it up with a long, heart pendant necklace and a pair of silver studded earrings. I pushed my blonde hair onto one side and wore my best, dazzling smile and then checked my teeth to see if there was anything between the gaps (come on, don't act like you DON'T do that) before opening the door.

As if on cue, the doorbell rang. "Danny, go get the door Honey!" I yelled, and I heard a grunt.

"DON'T CALL ME DANNY!" she yelled back at me, before flouncing towards the door and making a conscious effort to make sure her hair was okay in the mirror. For a girl who claimed she had no interest in Carlos Tackett, she sure did try very hard to make sure he noticed her.

She opened the door and smiled, but I could see it pained her cheeks. Carlos stood there, looking exactly like the perfect blend of his parents as usual in a crisp green shirt and jeans. Had they just color coded?

Deeds stood behind with her daughter Marlene, wearing a champagne colored dress and long earrings. Jase was wearing a plaid shirt and black jeans, his hair tousled stylishly.

"Oh look," remarked Carlos, his face turning into a sneer. These were the times he reminded me painfully of Draco Malfoy. "If it isn't the drowned rat who looks like she tried to kiss a frog, but then remembered she wasn't a princess so she turned into one herself," he said, clicking his tongue in disbelief. "What a pity."

Danielle's face scrunched up at that, and her nose wrinkled completely. "Good evening to you too, Car-Car," she mimicked, venom dripping through her words.

"Aw, now you look like you swallowed a lemon. Come on, Danny dear, why would you make your face look more hideous than usual voluntarily? It's bad enough that you inherited the worst of the family traits, you know."

I clenched my fists to my sides but didn't say anything. Until they were in seventh grade, the two of them acted like they were the best of best friends. Then, one day during their vacation, Deeds and I caught them having a very heated argument and throwing stuff at each other. Long story short, Danielle was admitted to the hospital with a concussion and Carlos had a fracture in his left arm. Ever since then, the two of them have been very open about their hatred towards each other.

"Aw, Car-Car, it's bad enough that your eyesight is so bad you needed to act like you lost your glasses because you didn't want to taint your image. Now, we don't want your parents thinking you can barely see, do we?" she asked, in mock sympathy.

Before Carlos could reply with something equally smart aleck, Deeds coughed loudly. "Day, how have you been, sweetheart?"

I smiled gratefully before coming down, Dylan by my side in a lovely button up black shirt and jeans that I'd bought for his birthday last year.

"Come in," I said, gesturing for them to walk into the house. "Dan, can you go get some drinks for the family?" I asked, silently telling her to leave the room before an explosion took place.

"Heil Hitler," she muttered darkly, and I shot her a glare as she retreated.

"Zach just texted, him and Marie had to bail," Jase said, showing us a text as we sat down on our plush chestnut colored sofas.

"Sally's drunk again?" asked Marlene, their daughter. She definitely had most of her traits from Deirdre, but she carried the same air as Jase.

That, along with the stunning cheekbones and jawline.

Delilah rolled her eyes, coming into the living room. "When is she not?" she asked, before motioning for Marlene to join her as the two of them scampered off to her room, where they would most likely completely dis include Darla, who would then run crying to me about how her sisters always ignore her.

It had happened before.

Marlene and Delilah were inseparable, which was why I had never thought Carlos and Dan would hate each other. Turns out hate was a very mild word.

Jase rolled his eyes. "Yep, Sally's drunk again. Apparently she was caught at a party with her current boy toy and they were doing drugs."

I sighed loudly, feeling bad for Marie. She and Zach were always so busy that they'd never taken proper care of their daughter, Sally, who soon turned into a delinquent. After their divorce three years ago, Sally went into hysteria and became absolutely bonkers.

The doorbell rang again, and I smiled and tried not to run towards the door. Max and his wife, Katelyn, were standing at the door. "Guys! I'm so glad you could make it!" I exclaimed, throwing my arms around them happily. Kate and Max had just gotten together a few years ago during a conference in Orlando, and she was the nicest person ever. I really couldn't think of a better couple than the two of them.

"It's great to see you," Kate said, politely, still a little awkward around all of us. Max, on the other hand, hugged me so tight I could barely breathe.

"Hey! Guess what?" he asked, literally jumping onto the couch. I felt Dylan wince next to me, and I giggled slightly.

"What?" asked, Dylan, eyeing the couch warily.

"Kate's pregnant!" he exclaimed, and then there was a flurry of congratulations and Katelyn looked just about as red as a beetroot as she smacked Max hard on the arm. The doorbell rang again and I towards it, seeing a beaming Hailey and Damon. The two of them definitely had it tough, but after their parents divorced they immediately got married. Their kids were now already in jobs, which was absolutely crazy to think about.

"Hails! Damon!" I said, feeling overwhelmed. The last time all of us had met up had been ages ago.

Danny walked in with the drinks, and I saw Carlos still taunting her. I rolled my eyes, and I could see the whites of her knuckles as she was physically restraining herself from throwing everything away and punching the living daylights out of him.

"Hey! MAX!" she screamed, before gently placing the drinks on the table and running into his arms. There was no doubt about him being her favorite person; after all, he was the cause of more than 75% of her wardrobe being alive.

"Ellie!" he said, throwing his hands around her. He was the only one who called her that, because he thought that Dan and Danny were too manly for such a feminine name such as Danielle. "I got you clothes," he whispered conspiratorially, and Dylan groaned next to me.

"Why don't you just buy her a clothes shop while you're at it?" he asked, annoyed. I pinched his cheek and he swatted my arm away, before kissing me lightly on the cheek.

"Anyone else coming?" asked Deeds, and I felt a pang in my heart. Ever since Nat's death two years ago, I'd never really been the same. As close as Deeds and I were, Nat and I went to college together and had become inseparable best friends. When she passed away because her Osteosarcoma came back, I hadn't actually spoken for a good two weeks except for cry every day. It still hurt that she could never come to our meets again.

"Nope," I said, trying to remain chipper. "No one else."

"Hey, Dan-Dan," said Carlos, out of the blue. "Do you know why you have no friends?"

Danielle clenched her jaw. "I'm going to go to my room," she informed me, seething.

"Because," Carlos continued. "You have absolutely nothing to you that makes you unique, you know that?" he asked, crossing his arms over his chest.

"I have one friend," she replied, her voice oddly high pitched and I knew she was on the verge of hitting her breaking point.

"Selena isn't even a human. She's like an alienated gorilla," he replied. Selena was Dan's best friend, and she actually was pretty attractive, so I don't know what he was talking about. "Then again," he added, after a thoughtful pause. "This is coming from being your best friend, so I'm not that surprised."

By now, my temper was barely hanging on by a string, and before I could burst out, Deeds beat me to it.

"CARLOS TACKETT!" she yelled, and I jumped in my seat, surprised by her volume. "That is no way to get the girl, you know."

Well, that was a confusing statement.

Carlos's face turned red with embarrassment, and Dan looked flustered. "Excuse me?" asked Carlos, his voice not as confident as it usually was.

"Oh, Mr. Tackett," Deeds said, looking very pissed. "Just because you think you're so hot and so good at sports and practically the golden popular kid of your school doesn't mean you don't have the same interests when it comes to girls."

Carlos scoffed. "Please, I have interests," he made air quotes "When it comes to girls. However, Danny can't even be considered under that gender."

Deeds' eyes narrowed mischievously. "I read your chats with Ben."

Carlos's eyes became the size of two saucers. This was suddenly very interesting.

"You didn't," he said, sounding plain appalled at the very suggestion.

"Oh but I did," she said, shrugging. "And really, I was hoping it wouldn't come to this, because I'm going to read them out."

Carlos's face had become a deathly shade of white. "You don't have my phone," he said, his voice shaky.

Deeds shrugged. "I sent myself screenshots," she said, before opening her phone from her pocket and showing us what was written, and Carlos looked stricken. If he wasn't such a jerk to my daughter, I would have almost felt bad for him.

Ben: Hey, epic- ass party at Jade's today... You up for it?

Carlos: Nah, going to Dan's place for dinner.

Ben: Snap, can we trade places? She's so hot.

Carlos: No way. She's mine, back off.

Ben: Sure she's yours. The chick bitch slapped you in the hall yesterday when you pulled out her books. Man, she hates you.

Carlos: Hate is something I can work on. At least I'm attractive.

Ben: No match for her, Car.

Carlos: Whatever. I mean, I've liked her since forever now. She's literally the only reason I don't have a girlfriend, bro.

Ben: Poor old Car, such a saint.

Carlos: Saving my innocence for her, you know? ;)

Ben: Sick little shit, you're so lucky. If she wasn't so scarily unapproachable, I would have tried to make a move on either her or her best friend.

Carlos: Shut it, don't even think about touching her. I had to beat up Nate because he was going to ask her out yesterday man. The number of guys I've warded off is scary.

Ben: So jealous, man.

Carlos: Never denied it, did I? Anyway, I've got to go. It's dinner time!

Ben: This make's Jade's party look so weak in comparison.

Carlos: Try your luck on Selena.

Ben: I'll try, LOL. Go have fun now.

Carlos: Okay bye!

There was a shocked silence, and I dared to glance at Dan's face, which was ashen.

I TOLD HER SHE WAS ATTRACTIVE!

"Um," she said, her voice a croak. "I just remembered I had unfinished Literature homework. I'll just, um... call Sel and discuss it with her."

And with that, she fled the room, her steps making loud echoes across the ground. Carlos followed shortly, but he'd probably go hide in one of our many guest rooms.

Yes, being celebrities did give you mansion privileges.

"I'll go check up on her," I whispered to Dylan, before getting up.

"Good job, Deeds," Max said, dryly. "You ruined their blossoming love life."

Deeds shrugged. "My son had it coming, really."

I walked up and peeked into her door.

"Sel?" asked Dan, her voice an odd sound. I couldn't hear what was on the other end. "CARLOS LIKES ME!" she yelled, but her voice sounded... excited?

Two seconds later, there was an over exaggerated screaming session.

I sighed loudly and hid behind a plant as Dan came out of her room, looking positively ecstatic.

So much for her needing consoling.

I shook my head as Dan walked towards the room where Car was, before peeking in shyly. "Hey," she said, an awkward expression on her face. "I just got the new version of that video game we're always playing... Wanna join?"

Carlos's face completely morphed and he nodded, jumping off the couch in the room he was sitting on. "Sure thing. So... um, no awkward feelings?" he asked.

Danny grinned, rolling her eyes playfully. Was she... flirting?

"This is just going to be awkward as long as you make it awkward, Car-Car," she said, before hip bumping him lightly.

He looked positively entranced, and I could tell that she knew it. She had him completely wrapped around her pinkie.

I grinned and got up as they went to her room. "Nah, Deeds didn't spoil anything," I said, my lips quirking into a grin. "If anything, she just sped the process."

*****

"Bye guys!" Delilah exclaimed, waving frantically from our porch. "See you tomorrow, Mar!"

Marlene grinned. "We'll play that prank you thought of," she said, winking.

Delilah gasped loudly. "That is confidential information that CAN'T be leaked! Keep your mouth shut!"

I rolled my eyes at the two drama queens as the cars sped off into the night, and Dan still had a glazed, dreamy expression on her face.

Ah, cringe.

"Okay, girls," I said, looking at the two of them strictly. Darla had gone and played some video game the whole time, so she hadn't cared about her siblings ignoring her. She was currently yawning very loudly on the couch. "Get to bed, you guys, it's pretty late."

Dan shrugged and walked towards her room, and Delilah pouted. "Please can we stay up a little while longer?" she asked, whining.

"Um, honey, it's 3 am," Dylan said, rolling his arms back. "I'm feeling pretty sleepy, to be honest."

Delilah rolled her eyes and walked up to her room, and a very sleepy Darla followed suit.

I smiled and Dylan snaked his arms around me, kissing me lightly on the neck. "I love you," I whispered, a grin etched across my face.

Dylan smiled. "The feeling is mutual."

I pushed him playfully and placed a hand on my hip. "Please, I would have murdered you if it wasn't!"

Dylan winked cheekily. "I say it out of fear," he said with a mock shudder. I stuck my tongue out at him and he grinned wider.

"Such an asshole," I said, before flopping down onto the bed.

"But the favorite one is on your body, right?" he asked, and I threw a pillow at his face. I'd said this the day we became a couple, and he STILL hadn't let it go.

He threw off his t-shirt and I stared at the ceiling, feeling emotionally drained as he came and sat next to me, wearing just his jeans. I smiled lazily at him and whined. "Stop bringing that up so much."

He smiled before positioning himself higher, allowing me to stare at him. I loved this guy so much.

"Like what you're seeing?" he asked, and before I could protest hotly, he placed his fingers on my lips. "Those were the first words I'd ever said to you, remember?"

Suddenly, the flashback of the day hit me hard. I was the awkward kid who was joining a new school, and he was that cocky flirt.

"The day I sassed you completely? Yep, I remember that," I said, with a giggle.

He rolled his eyes. "Did you ever think we'd end up like this?" he asked, his green eyes big and questioning.

"Like what?" I asked, confused.

"Did you think we'd all be such good friends and that the two of us would be where we are today?" he asked, placing the covers over us.

I felt my eyes beginning to droop slightly and I yawned. "No," I replied, honestly. "But I wouldn't have wanted to have it any other way."

And with that, I fell asleep in his arms, for the day had come to an end.

A/N:

Hey ya'll,

That's the last bit you're ever going to get from MSLIO. I know, it's quite tragic for me too *sniff, sniff*

My second cover ^^

Here are a couple of facts about MSLIO that I decided to share with all of you. Feel free to skip this though:

=> Day was supposed to be the typical good girl. Yep, I actually didn't want her to be the crazy person that she turned out to be, but a more closetted girl who'd end up with the popular guy through an online basis ONLY.

=> Jase wasn't even meant to be a part of the plot! The thing is, I knew I had the fifth chapter coming, but basically everything was a filler until she and Max got together, so I just bumped him in for no good reason.

=> Cady wasn't meant to be a part of the plot either. The thing is, I had meant to make Deeds the bad guy, and all the way till a good five chapters before I revealed who Miss. X was, I was still contemplating making it Deeds.

=> Max was supposed to die. After the car crash, I wanted to just kill Max to make things tragic. However, I decided the whole "I loathe senti messages" would be funnier than him just dying and leaving her with the impression that he loved her, so I decided to let him live.

=> In my original plot, Dylan was supposed to be a mega asshole who never spoke to her much except for be mean. That's why Day was supposed to find out shockingly that Popcorned was him.

=> Basically, my original ideas for MSLIO had been a cliche story where the bad boy and the good girl get together through a shocking online experience.

=> Dylan was supposed to ACTUALLY LIKE Sandy. Yep, you got that right, Dylan was originally supposed to have liked Sandy, thereby lashing out at Day when she ruined their chances at a good relationship.

=> Day's casting changed 6 times throughout the whole book. I honestly don't even remember who all I'd put for her, but I never seemed to find the right person.

=> A bit of the concept of her and Popcorned's relationship was taken from the book "Tell Me Three Things" by Julie Buxbaum, a book about how a new, hated girl gets taken under the wing of an anonymous account. The only difference was that the boy in the book actually KNEW who the main character was outside her account. I definitely recommend the book though!

Okay, that's about it I guess. The thing is, the plot came from a poem I wrote during one particularly boring English class just before my midterm exams in eighth grade, and I discussed the plot line with Aarushi08

I then proceeded to edit it and make a better cover (my first one was CRAP. Wait I'll put it in) for my story along with hyperactivepanda18.

That was my cover guys. Can I cry please? *digs a hole and lives there for eternity*

Okay guys, I also have a blog in case any of you are interested. The link is:

http://saltytidalwaves.blogspot.in/

Feel free to check it out and hand me your input.

I'd like to especially thank EffervescentReader

She actually sat with me through the bus rides and allowed me to discuss my plot and every single part in detail, and she'd fangirl with me at all the parts. The thing is, MSLIO is actually a bit of a true story. The whole Miss. X bit kind of happened to me, except I didn't have many friends (at all) on my side during the whole ordeal. Now, everything is fine and I practically borrowed that whole idea here into the story.

I'd also like to thank fangirl_ali

They were there to support me when practically no one else was, and they actually believed my side of the story. They also helped me out in every step of the journey while I was writing MSLIO. I love those two to bits!

Lastly, I'd like to thank my sister and one of her best friends, shinebeam

Even if my sister didn't have an account, she was there to support me through the way and listened to my plot every night, giving me constructive criticism. shinebeam was one of my biggest fans, and she was so sweet and left me the most motivating messages, which I really appreciated.

One last thing, don't forget to check out my new story, Project Perfect. I promise regular updates because I'm done with the story :P

Until next time xxx
