Reese POV:

Maddy and I walk into the store holding hands. We hold hands sometimes just we like too. I walk up to the counter with her and see a girl there I didnt know.

"Hey, do you work here?" I asked her with a smile on my face. If I didnt work here, why would I be behind the counter? She asked me nonchalantly and I put my hands up.

"You could be stealing stuff." I retorted back with a shrug.

"True, point taken." She stated while popping a cigarette into her mouth.

"Wow, I really like this store, how long have you been working here?" Maddy asked the girl with a smile and the girl looks to Maddy.

"For like three months. This job is shitty. Try working here for a 4 hour shift." The girl said with a groan and I smile because I would love that.

"Anna, stop taalking shit about the store to customers yo!" I hear Fez yell as he and Ash walk out from the back. "Reeses pieces??" Fez yelled out once he saw me.

"Fezzy!!" I shout as we run up to each other and give a dap hug.

"Whats good lil homie?!" He asked as we pull away and I chuckle.

"Nothing much dude." I respond and Ashtray comes over to me.

"What's up kid with the weird name." He tells me as he daps me up and I laugh.

"Whats up ashes?" I asked him and he lets out a chuckle.

"Uh I wanted you guys to meet someone. Fez, Ash, this is Maddy, my best friend. Maddy, this is Fez and Ashtray. Don't worry, Ashtray isnt his real name." I introduce them and I clarify to Maddy.

"Good because I was about to ask who named you Ashtray." She said with a chuckle as she shook Ashtrays hand.

"Thats what I said!" I yell out while throwing my hands up and Maddy giggles.

"Its my street name. So they know if they mess with me, I turn them into ashes." Ashtray said while showing off his AT tattoo and Maddy and I laugh at that.

Nice to meet you." Fez said as he shook Maddy's hand and she shook it back.

"NIce to meet you too." Maddy said with a smile and they let go of each others hand.

"So how long have you guys owned this store?" Maddy asked them as she points around to it.

"Like about two years now. Not too long. We actually bought it from a homie who sold it to us for only 1,000. Then we fixed up the store because it looked bad when we bought it. And now it's this." Fez tells us the story of how they got the store.

And Fez, you barely get customers." Anna said while referring to what Fezco said earlier.

"Nah we get customers, they just don't come in when it's your shift." Ashtray said with a shrug and we all laugh.

"Exactly man." Fez said while high fiving Ashtray and Anna rolls her eyes and goes back to counting the money in the register.

1 hour later:

We've been at the store for about an hour now, just joking hand having fun.

"Alright, we are gonna go now, we gotta get ready for the fair later. Y'all are coming right." I asked Fez and Ash with a raised eyebrow.

"Yeah man, and we gotta pretzel stand. Gotta get that money up." Fez said while making a money symbol and I chuckle.

"But aren't yall like loaded from selling drugs?" Maddy asked with confusion in her voice.

"Yeah, but you never stop getting your money up." Ash stated and Fez hums in agreement.

"Fair point, see yall at the fair." Maddy waved by to them as we walk to the exit.

"Bye guys see yall later!" I waved to them with a smile.

"See yall!" They yelled back as me and Maddy exit the store.

"They were cool. But isn't Ash a little too young to even know what drugs are?" Maddy asked with confusion in her voice and she is right.

"Yeah, your right. I didn't think about that until now. Maybe thats how he and Fez grew up." I state while looking at Maddy and she nods her head. We walk back to my moms car and get it. Then we drive to her house and get ready for the fair.

Maddy's POV:

"Where are you? I'm standing by the fucking Ferris wheel. I don't see you." I say to Nate over the phone as I look around the Ferris wheel and he is no where in sight. "Why do you always do this too me?" I say as I walk around to look for the other Ferris wheel since Nate just told me there is apparently two ferris wheels. Why would he tell me this shit now?

"Yo are you at this Ferris wheel or that Ferris wheel? How the fuck am I supposed to know which one you're at? You don't fucking tell me..." Nate said over the phone and I roll my eyes. "Im on my way." He states as I was getting closer to the second Ferris wheel. As I'm walking, I see Reese eating some popcorn.

"Heyy Reesey!" I yell in a squeal as I run over to her. She looks up from her popcorn and at me. I hug her tightly and she hugs me back.

"Hi Mads!" Reese said back with a chuckle and holds me by my waist. After a few seconds Reese pulls away from the hug.

"Are you having fun?" I asked her with a smile and I flip my ponytail back.

"Not really, I haven't gone on any rides yet. I just got here." She said while looking at all the rides. "You having fun?" She asked me back with a smile.

"Nah, I just got here as well." I state and she nods her head and brushes some loose hair behind her ear. She put her hair in a messy back bun.

"Yo, why are you dressed like a hooker?" I hear the voice of Nate and I turn around to see him walking up to me.

"What?" I asked in confusion because maybe I didn't hear him correctly.

"Jesus Christ Maddy. Im here with my parents." Nate said with a sigh and i am still very confused. I look at Reese and see she looks shocked.

"So what? It's the carnival." I say with a shrug and Nate throws his head back in annoyance.

"No. It's the chili cook off. It's very important. I can't have you hanging out at the booth dressed like that." He states while pointing to my attire and I gasp in offense.

"Hey, she doesn't look like a fucking hooker. She's your girlfriend for fucks sake. Have some fucking respect for her. Her outfit looks beautiful. If you care more about a chili cook off than your girlfriend than your fucking sad." Reese said while getting angry and she glares at Nate. I smile at her for standing up for me.

"And my outfit would sell that chili better." Maddy added on with a smirk and I nod.

"Yo, this isnt a fucking joke, okay? My parents already don't like you." Nate said with an angry look on his face. "Go ome. get changed and come back looking like a person and like you have some fucking respect for yourself." Nate said while walking backwards and he turns around and walks away.

"Go fuck youself Nate! I am not changing!" I yelled after him with my voice full of anger and Nate waves me off.

"You look amazing. He's a fucking asshole whos a fucking insecure little bitch." Reese said while rubbing her hands over her face and taking a deep breath in.

"I'm not gonna let him ruin my night. So come on, lets have fun and forget about him." I tell her with a smile and she nods her head.

Reese and I walk hand in hand through the fair. We went on a few rides and they were really fun. Reese made them fun. She has really cheered me up like she always does. We walked passed this little alleyway and out of the corner of my eye, I see Cassie sitting down in it.

"Hey." I say as I stop, causing Reese to stop.

"What's up Cass?" Reese asked Cassie as she lets go of my hand and sat next to Cassie.

"Hey guys." Cassie said calmly as she looked at us and she looked bored and sad.

"You're not having fun?" I asked Cassie with a raised eyebrow and Cassie shakes her head.

"No." She respomnded with a shrug and Reese puts her arm over Cassie.

"Well we are so come hang out with us." I said while pointing to Reese and I.

"Yall wanna get some pretzels and drink a little?" I asked them with rasied eyebrows and they both nod their heads.

Reese's POV:

Welcome to Pretzelmania. Can I take your order?" Ashtray asked us and we all hand him our tickets. "How many pretzels do you want?" He asked us as he put the tickets down next ot him.

"We don't eat carbs." Maddy said with some sass and Ashtray rolls his eyes.

"I do. Four please. And some wine." I tell Ash and he turns around to grab the pretzels.

"Who's the extra one for?" Maddy and Cassie asked me with a confused look on her face.

"Mom, she told me to get her a pretzel." I tell them as Ash hands each of us a small cup with wine in it.

"So you think Nate's cheating on you?" Cassie asked Maddy when Ash left and I turn my attention back to them.

"I don't know. He's just been acting super weird lately." Maddy responded and she looks to me. Oh yea he's definetly been acting weird if he's got dick pics on his phone.

"Have you gone through is phone?" Cassie asked while looking at Maddy and I nod my head frantically at Maddy. "I've never not gone through someone's phone." Cassie tells her with a smirk.

"Bitch, your my soulmate." Maddy states with a smild and I pout.

"Hey what about me?" I asked with a frown and Maddy giggles.

"You already know your my soulmate baby." She said while coming over to me and throwing her arms over my shoulders, hugging me. Ash comes back over with our pretzels and we grab it from him.

"Thank you." Maddy and Cassie said simultaneously.

"Thanks bro." I tell him as i give him a fist bump and give him 5 dollars just to help their booth out.

"Pleasure doing business with you." Ashtray said while tipping his hat and I nod.

"Yo, whats going on with you and McKay? I thought you two were in love." Maddy said with confusion in her voice and I nod my head.

"Yeah, come to think of it, I haven't seen yall talk since the beginning of the night. Did he hurt you? I swear if he did-" I start of but Cass cut me off before I could finish.

"Reese stop, your not gonna hurt him." Cassie tells me and I shake my head because I will if he hurts her.

"Nate asked McKay if we were in a relationship and McKay said that we were just chillin." Cassie tells us and I huff because of course this leads back to Nate. But how dare McKay say they are only chillin when they are dating like the disrespect.

"What?" Maddy asked with confusion in her voice.

"Yeah." Cassie replied while shaking her head and we just walk around the carnival.

"Honestly, fuck them both." Maddy said while throwing out her empty pretzel wrapper and cup in the garbage.

"They are both jerks." I say as me and Cassie throw ours away after.

"Right?" Cassie adds on and as Maddy's walking, she suddenly stops and turns around.

"Cassie, if I tell you this, you swear on your fucking life you won't say a word?" Maddy asked Cassie with a raised eyebrow and Cassie nods her head. I already know what she's gonna tell her.

"Yeah what?" Cassie asked in curiosity.

"I went through Nates phone. And it was weird." Maddy began to tell her and you can tell Maddy is still in shock about it.

"Not even like normal weird. Weird weird. Not that you can expect normal weird from Nate." I tell her seriously at first then I shrug at the last sentence and Maddy nods her head.

"Honestly fuck that whole family." Maddy said while making sure her ponytail looked good.

"For real." Cassie said and she sounded tipsy. She barely drank, how is she tipsy already.

"They freak me out. Nate is a psychopath, hisdad is just fucking weird, his mom seems a little crazy to me. His brother seems okay but seeing as three out of four are just weird, he might be too." I state as i fix the collar of my shirt.

"That whole family is so fucking weird. But im forgeting about them. Cause right now I'm looking at a thousand versions of myself and not only do I look good, I fucking feel good." Maddy said with confidence in her voice and I smile because she deserves to feel good about herself without Nate tearing her down. "So if they got something to say, they should just say it to my face, right?" She asked us as she looked towards us.

"Or you could just say it to their fucking face. That's what I would do." Cassie said while doing some weird hand gestures. "I feel like this is a turning point. We should just pick the most cinfident, bad bitch version of ourselves and be that for the rest of the school year." Cassie said while grabbing my hand and spinning herself around.

"I am loving this energy. Proud of you girls." I say while clapping proudly and they both laugh.

"And this years winner of the chili cook off is... Cal Jacobs! Make it six years and running!!" The announcer guy said while pointing to Cal who was holding up his trophy and smiling. Something is just off about him and I can't seem to put my finger on it.

Everyone cheers and claps for him and I stand next to Maddy who looked like she was about to raise hell. Once the clapping dies down, Maddy started doing slow claps and Nate made eye contact with her and mumbled something under his breath. The crowd makes a path for Maddy to walk down.

"Yeah, I'm not supposed to be here right now, because I'm dressed like a hooker, and none of you like me, but I just wanted to say congratulations." Maddy said while walking up to Nates family's booth.

"Maddy, get out of..." Nate started but was cut off by Maddy pushing the tub of chili, causing it to fall on the ground.

"Oops. Clean it up you pussy ass bitch." Maddy said to Nate and the crowd yells out oou, including me.

"What in gods name is your problem?" Nates mom asked while looking at Maddy in shock.

"You, cunt!" Maddy retorted back and the whole crowd yells oou even louder and of course I joined in with the oouing again. I am so proud of her.

"You did that shit!!" I yelled to her while clapping and everyone starts clapping after me. Maddy blows me a kiss and I smile and pretend to grab it. I hold my hand to my heart in awe.

Maddy, Cassie and I were currently on the ferris wheel. We decided to go on another ride because we were bored. Maddy and I wee in the same seat while Cassie was sitting with BB who just got here.

"This is a really awesome view." Maddy said as she had her head on my shoulder and her arm snaked around my waist.

"It really is, you can see the whole town from up here. And the sky is really beautiful." I state as I pointed at the sky that looked really mesmorizing.

"That's my favorite part of the night. The sky looks so beautiful. I can sit and watch it for hours." Maddy tells me while picking her head up and looking at me with a smile.

"Same, its almost as beautiful as you." I state while being bold and flirting with her a bit.

"Aww your so sweet." Maddy said while stroking my cheek and I smile.

"I really love you Reese. You always know how to make me feel better. Your so fucking beautiful. And fucking sexy." She said that with a smirk and I am blushing and internally screaming. Maddy just said I'm beautiful and sexy. I can die happy now.

"Your always boosting my confidence, complimenting me, you always know how to make me laugh, smile, just being around you puts me in a good mood. You literally have the sweetest soul ever and I love you so much. Your literally the best thing to ever happen to me." Maddy tells me in a soft and genuine voice and oh my god she's about to make me cry.

Wait, did she just confess her feelings for me? Wait, does she have a crush on me??

"Your gonna make me cry Maddy." I say as I feel tears well up in my eyes and I chuckle. We were at the top of the ferris wheel right now.

"Don't cry, and don't freak out when I do this." She tells me while looking at my lips and I look at her confused.

"Freak out when you do wha-" I asked her and I was about to finish my sentence when I cut myself off. I saw Maddy just glancing between my eyes and my lips. Is she about to? No way. I glance at her lips and back to her eyes. Maddy smiles and begins to lean in. My heart pounds faster as she leans in and gets closer to my lips. Oh my god... Shes gonna kiss me!!

After what felt like forever, Maddy finally pressed her lips against mines. My eyes go wide and she kisses me softly. Oh. My. Fucking. God.

I slowly close my eyes and begin to kiss her back. Our lips move together perfectly. Kissing her is just like I imagined, but even better because this time I'm not imagining it. Our lips fit together perfectly, its like our lips were made for each other.

I know what your thinking, didnt you and Maddy kiss when you had your first time? We actually didnt. All we did was have sex. We never kissed each other on the lips so this is our first ever kiss.

The kiss starts getting a little rougher as we kiss passionately under the stars. Maddy cups my cheeks with one of her hands and places the other arm around my neck. I wrap my arms around her waist and she gently slips her tongue into my mouth, causing a moan to leave my lips. Our tongues dance together passionately and I rub her waist soothingly. She is really great at kissing.

We continue to kiss, fully lost in each other. It's like nothing is around us, it's like it's just us in the world. I thought numerous times that I would faint if I ever kissed Maddy, but I surprisingly didn't. Go me! Im proud of myself. We continue to makeout until we feel the ride begin to move. Maddy and I slowly pull away from each other and softly grin at each other.

"That was..." I trail off as I am still in shock that we actually kissed.

"The best damn kiss I've ever had." Maddy finished my sentence for me and I nod my head. I loved it with everything in me. Best fucking kiss ever.

Maddy POV:

After Reese and I got off the ride, we held hands and just walked around the fair. We didn't talk about the kiss after we got off. We will talk about it when the time is right and when we are ready.

But I loved that kiss. A lot. It was so amazing. Her lips were so soft and lucious. Shes such a good fucking kisser too. I just loved everything about that kiss.

Reese went to the bathroom and I went to go grab another pretzel. I asked Ashtray to put the fast molly in my pretzel because I just felt like taking some. I finished my pretzel and I could already feel the effects of the Molly taking over me. God this really is a fast Molly. As I threw the pretzel wrapper out, I feel a hand grab me and start pulling me away.

"Im not gonna let you fucking embarrass me like that again, I swear to fucking god!" I hear Nate yell and I just started giggling as he was dragging me away. "Shut the fuck up! I'm fucking done with you! I'm so fucking done with you!" Nate shouted as he took me to an alleyway where nobody was.

"So what else is new?" I say while laughing my ass off.

"I'm not fucking joking!" He yelled out and I just continued to laugh.

"Yeah fucking right." I laughed while not believing him.

"Calling my mom a cunt. LIke what the fuck is actually wrong with your fucking brain??" He yelled as he continued to drag me down the alley.

"She is a cunt. I think your overreacting." I say while rubbing my arm and just then. Nate pins me against a trailer and wraps his arm around my neck, starting to choke me. I try to gasp for air but nothing is coming out, he's choking me so hard.

"You're fucking dead to me. Fuck you." He whispered as he got in my face and choked me a little harder as I am literally fighting for air. He let go of my neck and started walking away. I begin to cough and gasp for air as he walks out the alley. I feel tears well up in my eyes and I slide down the trailer and begin to silently cry.

After a few minutes, I decide to call Reese. I need her right now. As i'm calling, she doesn't answer and I cry harder.

Reese POV:

I was walking back from the bathroom to go find Maddy by the snack booth. The lines were so long and they took forever to use the bathroom.

As I am walking back, I see Cassie on the carosauel moaning. What the fuck? I rush over there and people are just staring at her, including people on the ride.

"Cassie, what are you doing?" I yelled to her as I pushed past people and Cassie stops moaning and opens her eyes. She snaps her head to me and looks around embarrassed. The ride suddenly came to a stop and Cassie was the first one off, pushing past evryone and coming over to me.

"We never speak of this again." She tells me and i look at her, still confused.

"Trust me, I dont wanna speak of it again." I say while shaking my head and Cassie nods and walks away from me.

I pull out my phone and see I missed a call from Maddy.

Maddy POV:

I decided to go home since I felt like shit. I decided to call Kat.

She picked up and I begin to speak in a strained voice "Kat I need you to come like right now."

"I can't, im busy." Kat responded and I furrow my eyebrows.

"Where are you?" I asked in confusion.

"With a friend." She states and I let out a sigh.

"Who?" I questioned while looking at the road.

"It doesn't really matter. I'm in the middle of something could you call me back later?" She asked me and I begin to get annoyed.

"Could you blow them off? Please I really need someone right now." I asked her as I feel myself about to cry again.

"I cant I gotta go." She stated them fucking hung up on me. I let out a frustrated yell. I cant fucking believe her. Just then I recieve a call from Reese.

Maddy?" She says into the phone and I sigh in relief that she called back.

"Reese, can you come over to my house now?" I asked her as I sniffle.

"I'm on my way. Why do you sound like your crying love?" She asked me and tears leave my eyes. I pull into my driveway.

"I'll explain to you when you get here. Just please hurry. I need you." I tell her while crying again as I park my car and get out.

"I'm coming." She tells me and I hang up the phone. I rush into my house to take a shower.

Reese's POV:

I rush into the house and see Maddy's dad.

"Hi Ted." I say as I lock the door behind me. He gave me a spare key since I'm always over here.

"Hey Reese." Ted said with a wave and I rush upstairs to Maddy's room. I open the door and see her laying on her bed, facing the window.

She turns her head and sees that its me.

"Reese." She said with a sniffle and I can tell she's been crying.

"Maddy, whats wrong?" I asked as she stands up and walks towards me. As she is coming towards me, I see a big bruise on her neck. What the fuck? "What happened to your neck?" I asked her while examining it and god it looked bad.

"Reese, N-Nate..." She said while trailing off and she just cries harder.

"Nate did this?" I asked her cautiously as I begin to get angry and she nods while crying.

"Fuck, love." I say as I pull her into a hug and she begins to sob loudly. She screams into my chest and she has a soundproof room so her parents can't hear her.

As I hold her, an angry expression is on my face. He fucking choked her. I wanna fucking kill him.
