Stiles, Liam, me, Scott, and Kira gather in my kitchen. We have three Apple laptops, which are part of a plan to lure the Benefactor to the hospital. "What we're doing is incredibly dangerous and borderline idiotic," Stiles says.

I am busy practicing my knife skills while I'm listening. Scott allows me to use him as an opponent. I glance to see Liam looking a bit worried. I take an immediate strike to Scott's face but he blocks it with his hand. "You don't have to do this, Liam," Scott says.

"I'm not scared," is his only response.

I only sigh and bring my knife behind my ear and throw it. It hits the wall only two inches from Stiles' face. He jumps. "Dude!"

"Oh, yeah. Look out."

The plan has to do with the visual confirmation requirement mentioned on the Benefactor cassettes. "What if you kill someone on the dead pool but you can't send the visual proof?"

"Don't get paid," I reply.

We believe that if someone high on the dead pool dies without confirmation, The Benefactor will come seeking visual proof – thereby allowing us to learn the identity. I grab the knife out the wall. "You guys do what you have to do. I'll be waiting at the hospital."

I go to the hospital and meet my mom in the front. "So, I have to be profoundly shocked when Scott 'dies'."

I nod. "Exactly. We have to make it believable." I go to greet Liam's stepfather and go to the front desk. I usually sit there and do homework. While I'm sitting there, I see Scott being wheeled in. Of course, I act like I'm freaked out. "Scott?" I say, loud enough for everyone to hear. "Scott!"

I make a run for him but a doctor holds me by the arms and tell me I have to stay out here. When they take him into the emergency room, I pace back in forth asking every two seconds if he's all right. I see Liam's stepfather come out and I run to him. "Is my brother alright?"

"We're doing all we can."

He runs back in. Two minutes later, a nurse comes out, head down. "How is he?"

She doesn't look up. "I'm sorry..."

I put in my head that he is actually dead. My tears well up with tears. "No. Please, no."

"We did everything we could for him."

"Apparently, not! What happened!? What happened to my brother!?"

My outbursts make everyone look up. I slide down on a wall, crying. I hear my mom screening and I smile mentally. I make it to the morgue. My mom tells Stiles, Kira, Noshiko and Liam how much she hates the plan. "It's pretty significantly terrifying."

Noshiko takes her hand and places over Scott's heart. She holds it there until my mom feels a single beat. She questions if that is enough to keep a werewolf alive. "It is for an Alpha," she replies.

Everyone glances my way. Noshiko explains that we have 45 minutes for Kira to bring him back. If she can't do it before time runs out, Scott will be dead. Me, Stiles, Kira and Liam have set up the laptops in one of the empty patient rooms. With a single keystroke, all three light up with multiple images from the hospital's security cameras. Stiles leaves the room to find Chris and I stay with Liam and Kira. "Kira, how do you do it?"

"What?"

"You use your katana so well. You didn't even know how a couple months ago. How'd you pick up so fast?"

"Practice. I wasn't always so good."

I only nod. I see Liam get nervous. I sigh and take him in an empty room. "Liam, everything is going to be fine."

"What if it's not? What if Kira can't bring Scott back? What if the Benef-"

I cut him off. "Liam, do you want to sit here, questioning everything, or kiss your girlfriend?"

"Well, I...."

"Exactly."

I put my hands in his front jeans pockets and pull him closer. "Everything is going to be fine, I promise," I whisper, our lips only a half of a centimeter apart.

We kiss. His lips are soft and sweet. I take my hands out his pockets and place them on the hem of his pants. He cups my face with his hands, his skin burning mines. Before things can go any farther, Kira comes in with her katana. "The camera on the roof went out."

Lima pulls back from me. "Go with her to check it out. I'll stay down here to make sure the other ones are fine."

When they run to the roof, I go back into the camera room. I put my head down and try to remain calm. This plan isn't going to work. I walk down the hall run into Kate Argent herself. Just seeing her makes me react. I flick out my claws. "You have three seconds to tell me what you're doing here before I rip your throat out."

She smirks and begins pacing in front of me. "The same as you, dear Scarlett. I want to know who the Benefactor is. Besides, why are you so worried about what I'm doing when your little puppy is in danger."

Liam. I growl and take a step closer to her. "What did you to him?"

She chuckles. "Those Berserkers will kill him with one strike of a bone."

I shove past her and run to the roof without stopping. When I get there, Kira is fighting a Berserker while another on is holding Liam up against a wall. I see he isn't transformed. He just needs a little push. I take in a deep breath and let out a loud and deep howl. He looks at me and his eyes begin to glow. He begins to fight back, using his werewolf strength. Right when I'm about to check on Scott, a Berserker comes and hits me in the head with one of its bones, knocking me out instantly.
