Momo's birthday - 15-35k Special!

***First off, I can't thank y'all enough for reading my story. I honestly just wanted to write something I would read and I'm so friggin happy that there are so many people with similar taste out there! Not gonna lie, I'm tearing up rn; you guys, girls, boths, neithers, and inbetweens mean the world to me and I look forward to continuing this story just so I can interact with you all more! I don't think I would've gotten this far with this story without your support, so thank you from the bottom of my heart!***

The weekend after Momo's birthday, all of 1-A was invited to a sleepover at her house. Naturally, we all came, and Momo graciously welcomed us into her huge estate. She smiled warmly as she led us down a stone path, "The main hall will be where we all stay during the day! The boys will sleep in our guest suite, and the girls will sleep in my room!"

My jaw hit the ground when I saw the main hall. A long table stretched almost the whole length of the room, a dozen chairs on each side, and at least four doors lead to separate rooms. After a dizzying house tour, we'd all deposited our bags in our respective rooms and headed back to the main hall. We all sat down at the table and a butler wheeled in a cart with a large, elaborate tea set. After a delectable cup of tea, Momo clapped her hands together, "If you have presents, bring them up please!"

Ever the gracious host, Momo said we didn't need to bring any gifts, but most of us still did. Since we all knew she'd most likely already have expensive commercial items, we got together and came up with personalized gifts for her. I made her a bracelet with my initials and hers separated by a F/C bead and a pattern of F/C, black, and gold beads.

I presented her with my gift and her mouth opened in surprise, "L/N, did you make this yourself?!"

I nodded and she pulled me into a hug, then murmured, "Thank you, L/N, it means a lot to me."

She put the bracelet on, then checked out the rest of her cool presents. Hagakure had taken a wooden picture frame and decorated it with fake flowers and leaves, as well as gold highlights to finish off the beautiful nature-inspired piece.

Uraraka gifted Momo a unique self-made necklace pendant: the sparkles changed color depending on the light, but they mostly looked like the sparkles that Momo's quirk made when she used it, giving it that extra personal touch.

Shoto had collaborated with Uraraka, hence why his gift was an elaborately designed silver necklace without a pendant. There was an ornate area designed to house a pendant, so Momo quickly popped Uraraka's gift in and put the necklace on.

***I would go over everyone's gifts, but that'd take too long, so I'll end this little summary with Jiro's gift.***

Jiro hid behind her hair as she outstretched her hand, Momo's present lying in her palm. It was a custom hair clip with a dark purple lightning bolt on it and a thinner lightning bolt inside the larger one painted in white, mimicking the heartbeat-like pattern on Jiro's hair. Momo took it gratefully and instantly clipped it on her hair, giving Jiro a warm smile as she did so.

Momo soon got through everyone's gifts, swiftly thanking each and every one of her classmates with a warm hug, which Mineta enjoyed way too much...

After dinner, which involved all of our favorite foods, Momo nudged Jiro, who was sitting next to her, and asked, "Hey Jiro, truth or dare!"

Jiro contemplated for a second, "Truth should be safest, so truth."

After many suggestions from us, Momo finally decided on one, "Who's your favorite hero?"

A small amount of shy chin-scratching later, Jiro finally decided, "I don't really have one, but as far as musical ability goes, probably Present Mic."

Then, Jiro asked Kaminari, "Kaminari, truth or dare?"

It seemed we were going anti-clockwise around the table, so the person asking me would be... Mina!

After Iida was dared to twerk on the table, we set a punishment for not doing a truth/dare, which Iida quickly did instead. One shot of apple cider vinegar later, he nauseously asked Bakugo, "Truth or dare?"

Many weird and wonderful questions and dares later, it was Mineta's turn. Unfortunately, or rather, fortunately, no girls were sitting on either side of him, so he turned his fantasy-filled eyes on Midoriya, "Truth or dare?"

Midoriya gave a wobbly smile, then courageously said, "Dare!"

Mineta chuckled in a perverse manner, "Wear a maid costume for the rest of the game."

Just as Midoriya frantically opened the bottle of apple cider vinegar, a crushing realization struck him. The bottle... was empty. Momo gasped, "We should have more, please wait!"

We waited. We really did. But when Momo returned with such a glum expression, we could safely assume the worst. Moments later, a maid costume was pressed into Midoriya's hands by Mineta, who'd been prepared for this very situation.

(Picture does not belong to me! I found it on Zerochan!)

I took it upon myself to take a picture of him in his moment of weakness and the rest of 1-A's girls made their opinions known in the background. I grinned as Midoriya weakly asked, "But why is the dress so... short?"

A sadistic grin spread across my face, "Isn't it annoying? Imagine being expected to wear one every day!"

Naturally, all the guys laughed and good-naturedly made fun of Midoriya, who deadpanned, "Never again will I underestimate females wearing skirts."

I nodded, "Damn right."

All too soon, Mina's turn to ask me rolled around, "So, Y/N, truth or dare?"

One glance at Mina's devious grin told me enough; I would play it safe, "Truth."

Mina cackled, and it was at this moment I knew, I fudged up. She looked me dead in the eye, "If your crush is in 1-A, you have to give us a single letter of their last name!"

How had she managed to pack not one, not two, but three loaded questions into one?!? I sat back, shaking my head in disbelief, "You sneaky raccoon!"

She raised an eyebrow expectantly, "I'm waiting~"

Mustering my most powerful death glare, I looked her dead in the eye, "'O'"

Mina grinned, "That narrows it down to Aoyama, me, Ojiro, Koda, Sato, Shoji, Jiro, Sero, Tokoyami, Todoroki, Bakugo, Midoriya, and Momo, whose last name is Yaoyorozu!"

She counted on her fingers, then triumphantly announced, "That narrows it down to 13!"

Words could not describe how depressed Mineta looked at that moment.

After a few more rounds around the table, we played hide and seek. Momo laid out the rules in a very clear manner, specifying exactly where we could and couldn't go, "You may go anywhere inside this building and also outside to a certain extent. However, if you do go outside, you must stay within 5 meters of the nearest point of this building! I will count to thirty and the first person I find will be It for the next round!"

Naturally, I dashed outside. After a glance at the building, I could see nowhere to easily get under the structure, so I turned my gaze upwards. A small bit of assistance from my threads later, I was slowly walking up the shingled roof, steadily making my way to the highest point.

I heard Momo announce that she was starting a few seconds after I got onto the roof, but chose to take my time instead of risking any mistakes, which could result in being found or injured. Once I reached the tippy top of the building, I laid down on a comfortable position, content to just wait.

Minutes passed as girly shrieks (not exclusively from us girls) signaled Momo's prowess as It, but she had not yet come outside. However, that soon changed. My eyes, which had long since adjusted to the darkness, easily watched Momo walk once around the entire structure, but not once did she look up. After a particularly violent shiver, she went back inside, and I thanked my strange resistance to the cold as triumph welled up inside me.

Soon, Momo announced, "Alright, L/N, you win!"

I swiftly got down from the roof and bowed as I walked into the dining room, "So, how does it feel to lose?"

Many faces wearing incredulous expressions turned towards me, then Momo exhaled, "Well, Y/N, where were you hiding?"

I grinned, then pointed up, "The roof! And don't worry, I stayed within 5 meters!"

Momo laughed softly, "Of course you did, but it's getting cold now, so let's stay inside for this round!"

We all agreed and Mineta, who'd lost the previous round, began counting. Shoto tapped me on the shoulder as we ran, "I know where we can hide."

I let him lead the way, barely surprised when we stopped outside a massive walk-in fridge. We entered and Shoto shut the door behind us, then showed me to a stack of cardboard boxes at the back. It was relatively easy to create a small nook behind them, then we squeezed in and closed the box fort. I turned to Shoto, who'd positioned himself so his warm side was pressed up against me, and quietly whispered, "So, how'd Mineta get caught first?"

He rolled his mismatched eyes, "He was hiding under a table to get a view at Momo from beneath when she found him, but I don't think he realized Momo has eyes."

I chuckled, but my sudden movement made a box at the top of one of the stacks wobble, then fall off with a muffled thump. Nothing happened for a while, but then the door opened and Kaminari's voice rang out, "Yeah, I heard something in here! I'm sure of it!"

Damn, he'd heard us. I was just about to give myself up when Shoto winked and called, "Damn, you guys got me!"

He slowly extracted himself from the hiding spot, then joined the others who'd already been found. I rolled my eyes but stayed silent as he left, sacrificing himself to bring me to victory.

Sure enough, half an hour later, my victory was announced. I waltzed out of the fridge and bowed graciously upon arriving in the living room, "Does it suck to suck?"

Mina shook her fist at me in a mock threatening manner, "Damn you, Y/N! How'd you win this time!?"

I pointed at Shoto, "He sacrificed himself."

Kaminari groaned at Shoto, "Really man, you sacrificed yourself for your girlfriend!?"

My best friend shook his head and deadpanned, "No, I sacrificed myself for my friend."

Iida pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose with one finger, "An underhanded method of victory to be sure, but a valid one nonetheless. Well done, L/N."

Momo nodded with an exasperated sigh, "One day we'll get you, L/N, but for now, it's time for dinner!"

We all sat down in our respective places, then, butlers wheeled in food carts. I suddenly realized why she'd asked what all our favorite dishes were as they were placed down in front of us.

In unison, we all said, "Itadakimasu!"

And then we all dug in. Momo watched us all eat for a second, clearly pleased with how it turned out, then turned her attention to her own plate of food. (I couldn't find a canon favorite food for her >.<)

The night ended with setting up our futons and chatting till midnight, then sleeping until 9 the next morning. At 10, we headed to a nearby public pool where Momo's family had reserved one of the huge private outdoor pools.

Naturally, I wore a black/white full-body swimsuit with two thick F/C stripes on it, one down each side. Most of the girls wore bikinis, but I decided to be a bit more conservative with my outfit and wore a long-sleeved rasher top too, also not wanting a sunburn.

As expected, this caused Mineta to gravitate mainly towards the other girls, leaving me to swim to my heart's content. And to my surprise, even though Kirishima had looked so damn confident earlier, he still hadn't gone any deeper into the pool than his waist.

I lazily swam over to him, floating on my back for a second before standing up and raising an eyebrow at him, "Say, Kirishima, have you ever gone swimming before?"

I had to make a considerable effort to keep my eyes on his face, especially considering all he wore was a red pair of swim trunks, and he blushed lightly. While sheepishly scratching the back of his head, he averted his gaze somewhat, "I have, I just... y'know... never learned how to swim... that's all."

I stroked my imaginary beard thoughtfully, then pretended to have an epiphany. I extended my hand to Kirishima, "How about if I teach you?"

His eyes widened as happiness filled his expression, "That'd be epic!"

And so, I spent the better part of 20 minutes trying to teach Kirishima how to swim. It was just backstroke at first, but he got the hang of it so quickly that I just had to teach him more. Eventually, he figured out how to do breaststroke and freestyle as well, so now all he had to do was practice.

Kirishima gave me a grateful thumbs-up, then waded over to where Bakugo, Sero, Kaminari, and Mina were. I decided to lounge on one of the lawn chairs, letting an umbrella shield my face and torso from the sun as warmth tickled my legs.

I heard someone get onto the lawn chair on the opposite side of my umbrella and turned to see who it was, but I most certainly wasn't expecting him to be here. He placed a can of my favorite fizzy drink on the umbrella mount's table, then winked and flew off. Sure enough, none other than my father had just dropped in (quite literally) to check on me and give me a soda.

A few of my classmates who'd seen my feathered father come and go looked a bit concerned, so I smiled and explained, "Don't worry, he was just giving me a soda."

Mina, who had been among the concerned, pouted and got out of the pool. Water dripped onto the concrete as her pout deepened upon seeing my soda's flavor, "F/S/F!? No fair! I want some too!!"

Long story short, that's how I ended up sharing my drink with my new deck-chair-mate. (A/N: Don't do this irl - the 'rona is not to be taken lightly!)

A fair bit of lounging later, I returned to the pool to play some games with a beach ball, occasionally using my quirk to guide the ball into my hands or into someone's face.

Shenanigans continued late into the morning as we playfully used our quirks, laughing together instead of at each other, and we even managed to get Iida to join in! But when Kaminari proposed a race around the pool's edge, Iida promptly put his foot down and enforced the 'no running near a pool' rule.

Once Kaminari had finished his tirade of trying to find different words for fun-sponge and buzzkill, which lasted an embarrassingly short time, we all had a good laugh and passed around some fizzy drinks.

The party concluded after an extravagant lunch at Momo's favorite restaurant, which was quite fancy indeed, and we (the not rich people) all marveled at the five-star dining room Momo's family had booked for us. Endless refills and an insanely broad menu of delicacies had us shocked at Momo's lifestyle, but she took it all in stride.

To be quite honest, she didn't flaunt her wealth and was mostly quite humble about it, and that only made me like her more. I could definitely see an amazing pro hero in her, as well as a kind and supportive classmate who would always find the time for her friends.

It was around 1 in the afternoon when we finished lunch and our parents were already on their way to pick us up, but we wanted to do one more thing together. We all exchanged numbers, forming a massive group chat with every student in 1A in it, finishing just in time for Tsuyu's kind mum to arrive and pick up our froggy friend.

My friends were going home left right and center as I scanned the skies for my father, but I couldn't see the winged hero anywhere. But just as I started to pout, a familiar black car parked in front of the restaurant. I said goodbye to everyone still there, thanked Momo for the wonderful party, and rushed outside to my father.

As I got into the back seat, my father's teasing voice reached me, "So, how was Momo's party?"

I told him all about it, only pausing to breathe and to check on the group chat.

A smile touched my lips as I looked at the group chat title, knowing it would keep me connected to my friends from now on.

In fact, the group chat was called:______!

***That's right, it's a mystery!! I want you guys to name this group chat and I'll make a lil' poll with my favorite suggestions I'm the next chapter! I've forced myself to finish this chapter just to get it out there, so I do apologize if it's not my best work, but I still hope you enjoyed this chapter dedicated solely to Momo's birthday party!! Author-chan out!
